It was the last day of the '70s. A day I thought we'd never see. But alas, here we are in the same basement that we've been in for years now.

"Man, the last day of the '70s. You know, thinking back, it's like, one big blur." Donna says, shuffling through records.

"You're welcome." Hyde smiled.

"You know, Donna, it kinda sucks that you're leaving for college today. I mean, I kinda wanted to ring in the new year by throwing out all your corduroy boy-pants." Jackie joked.

"Well, classes start on Monday and Eric gets back at five, so I just wanna, like, get out of here before all the drama." Donna says, waving her hands about.

Oh, I forgot to mention. Eric is coming back tonight from Africa. And along with that, Jackie and Fez finally got together after bickering.

"Wait a second. If you're actually going, then who's going to be the recipient of Fez's traditional midnight feel-up?" Hyde questioned her.

"Well, I was thinking Fez will be feeling up Jackie. I mean, she's his new victim." Donna motions to the two, "I mean, girlfriend."

"Oh, I don't know. Jackie and I haven't even had our first official kiss yet." Fez responded.

"Yeah, it's been a little hard making the transition." Jackie shrugged, sipping her soda.

"Yeah, I don't know what to do because now that she's not pushing me away saying "Get off", it's just awkward." Fez explained to us.

"That's normal. That's how Steven and I were when we first started dating. I mean, we had been friends since we were kids." I smiled at the two of them.

I felt a pair of eyes on me and it was Hyde. He looked away.

"Well, Donna's leaving town, it's the end of the decade. We should be doing something awesome, man. Something we've never done before." Hyde said.

A few moments later, we were in the circle, high as a kite.

"Or this." Hyde smiled as I sat right next to him, my arm around his shoulders.

"Oh my god, it's been over a year since I've been in the circle." I chuckled.

"Really? That long?" Hyde looked at me.

"Yeah. And it feels great!" I cheered as everyone else did as well.

~~~
I sat at the Forman's kitchen table as Hyde and Randy just stood around.
Red had given Hyde a really nice check for some money to save up for his own place. It was really sweet. But Hyde told me Kitty didn't want to sell the place.
Kitty walked in and Hyde stopped her, "Oh, Mrs. Forman. I have something here that might make Red reconsider about moving."
Kitty opens it and gasps, "Oh my God! Packers season tickets. Red has been on that list forever."
"Yeah, my grandfather was on that list for 30 years. When the tickets finally came, he was 90 years old. He ate them." Randy spoke up as he took a swig of his orange soda.
"How did you get these?" Kitty asked Hyde.
"I used the cash Red gave me." Hyde replied.
"Oh, I would hug you, but I know you don't like that." Kitty smiled.
"Thank you." Hyde said softly.
Kitty breaks after a few seconds, "You're such a good boy."
Kitty hugs him and Hyde just looks uncomfortable. Randy and I share a glance and laugh.
~~~

I walked into the basement to see Hyde and Kelso laughing.

"Michael?" I said as I walked in with Brett in my arms, all in a little winter outfit.

"Oh, Penny!" Kelso smiled and then saw the small baby in my arms.

"What are you doing back?" I asked him, sitting down.

"I couldn't not be here with my friends on New Year's Eve. So this must be the baby, huh? He's quite cute." Kelso smiled.

"Yeah." I said nonchalantly.

"Give him here." Hyde said and reached out for him. I handed him the baby.

"You seem like you're being a good dad." Kelso nodded to Hyde.

"Yeah." Is all Hyde said.

"Well, hows it been around the playboy mansion?" I asked him.

"Great. I've been promoted to supervisor. Now I'm the one who says don't touch. Me!" Kelso exclaimed out.

~~~
We were all in the Forman's living room. Eric had missed his flight so he wasn't here, but Donna stuck around for a bit. I left Brett with my mom since she didn't have any plans for New Year's Eve.
I sat next to Hyde as he handed me a beer. Ahh, this felt so nice.
"Everybody, we have an announcement. We've decided not to sell the house. We're going to stay in Point Place." Red said, happily.
We all cheered and clapped for them, except for Bob.
"Hey, that's so weird, man. I was just thinking of moving to Point Place." Leo said.
"Well, I am just- I'm just so happy we're staying because I would miss you so. Like, Fez, the way you and I have tea and make fun of male ice-skaters. And Jackie, you're such a doll. I don't even mind your backhanded compliments." Kitty starts.
"Oh, Mrs. Forman, you're my favorite old lady." Jackie smiles.
"Oh, and you too, Leo. You always make my day when you wave and smile hello, even if you are urinating on my mailbox. Oh, and Bob. No matter what I cook, you can't pass it up. Kinda like you can't pass up a woman's rear end without yelling "whoo-hoo!"." Kitty continues.
"Just being polite." Bob smiled warmly.
"And Penny. You always help me with cooking and baking and it's always so fun. You're like a daughter to me and I thank you for that. And Steven... my second son. I adore you. But you know, now that we're staying, maybe you could shave your mustache because, honey, you look like a 40-year-old male prostitute. And Donna, sweetheart. No matter where you go, I will always love you like a daughter." Kitty says.
She and Donna tear up as they hug each other.
"I am so sorry things didn't work out with you and Eric." Kitty said, crying.
"I think I need some air." Donna said, getting up and walking through the kitchen.
"So, speaking of daughters, has anyone seen Laurie?" Kitty asked.
Red and Bob talked to each other while I walked over to Hyde.
"I just wanted to say thank you, Hyde. This year has been exceptionally hard. Finding out I'm pregnant, it turning out to be yours while I was dating Kelso, Kelso cheating on me. And then having a baby. And you figuring out you're married to a stripper who turns out to be married to an old guy, as well. It's just been rough." I said as we both chuckled.
"Yeah, it really has been." Hyde nodded.
"And I just thank you so much for being apart of our baby's life. And giving me a job. It means so much, Steven. It really does, you have no idea." I said, tears forming in my eyes.
"Oh, Penny, come here." Hyde said and pulled me in for a hug.
I sighed into his jacket lightly.
"Here, come downstairs with me." Hyde smiled.
I followed him downstairs and we sat on the couch.
"Remember our first kiss?" Hyde asked me.
I chuckled, "Yeah? After the disco on the cruiser."
"And then when I asked you to be my girlfriend?" Hyde questioned me.
"Of course. It was right after you got arrested for covering for Jackie. You rushed it because Donna told me you liked me." I smiled at him.
"Penny, ever since you came back, I've wanted nothing more than to be with you for my whole life. I remember after you left, I thought about you almost everyday and hoped you would come back. And you did, man. That was the universe giving me some sign that you were the one. And I've known it from the beginning. Now, hear me out. I've done a lot of dumb things when we were together. And I regret it all. I'd change everything. I'd still want to be with you, Penny. And now-now I just can't stop thinking about you. Every time I see you with our son, my life is complete. Like, that's my son and that's his mother, the love of my life. So Penny, what I'm saying is that you're my everything. And you've never stopped being my everything. You made me the person I am today and I am so thankful for that. I love you so much, Penny, and I will never stop. So Penelope Martins, would you do me the honor of being my wife?" Hyde asked as he got down on one knee.
I gasped as tears streamed down my face, "Oh my, god! Yes yes! Of course!"
I hugged him immediately, our lips connecting as we both stood up.
"Happy new year!" We heard the yells come from upstairs, all the way in the basement.
"I love you so much, Steven." I whispered.
"I love you more, Penny." Steven whispered back.
