Devlin tiredly went over it again with his friends.

They were at Katrina's house.

It was day five.

"Don't tell me to search there, when I already fucking did dat." Devlin sneered.

"We need to check the abandos' near our houses then?" Jude explained, holding on to the map of Minerva, Melanie had her hands over her face. She was quietly sitting in the corner of her sister's home.

She had never expected to be out here like this.

Angel and Devlin's friends were quietly murmuring to each other in her kitchen.

Devlin spied her sister crying, so he made a small noise through his mouth, Jude and Ivan took the sign, and went out through the front door.

It was raining hard, and windy.

"D-Devlin where did you say she last worked?"

Morena quietly asked him from Katrina's couch.

"Kale & Ford." Devlin thickly said. "Do we need to check there?" Devlin swallowed a lump. "Fuck it; That bastard Roderick is going to pay.. I know this has something to do with him."
"Yes.. You do; I'll text you the address, you and Christopher head down there now." She nodded, and grabbed Christopher's hand and headed out the door. Angel, Christopher, Melanie, and Morena, were the only ones in Minerva.. He didn't want the others to worry.

"I tried to request for a week off, but my boss only gave me three days." Melanie softly said. "What a dick." Devlin angrily thought; He nodded, he didn't want to tell her family, but the fourth day she was missing, he couldn't take it anymore.

"Did you tell them your sister is missing?"

Melanie nodded.

"I'm buying you a plane ticket home, I can't risk you losing your job." Devlin murmured, Melanie looked at him in shock.

"Devlin no.. I need to be here today.. She is my sister, I need to be here..." She murmured.

"Okay." He softly said, he nodded and put his hand on her shoulder, she took his hand and began to cry. "I can't believe this... First Jared and now Katrina.. This fucking sucks." She cried, snot dripped out of her nose, and she wiped it with her shirt, Devlin handed her a tissue, the other men in the room looked at her. Devlin had never heard Melanie curse, it was very unusual for her. "Like Katrina.." He anxiously thought, regretting the stress that he put on her in Catalina.

He breathed out and stalked out the door.

"Ur yes gnum?" Where are you going? His mother shouted after him, he went straight across the street; He didn't know if he was going crazy, he knew there was no way that she left her house without anyone else noticing, Devlin watched that house like a hawk, he had seen no one else enter the home since he saw the little girl. "If she's a ghost, then she needs to point to the direction where Katrina ran off to."

He heard footsteps speed up from behind him.

It was Tevan.

He banged on the door.

"Hey! Open d door! I know you're in there." Devlin growled, he pounded harder. "Hey!" He yelled again. "Devlin we don't want to attract attention from the neighbors." Tevan nervously mumbled, Devlin kept pounding on the door.

"Or police." Tevan said low.

Jude sat in Ivan's car and gave him a worried look.

"Those missing girls on the news..." Jude monotonously said, Ivan rolled his eyes. "Stop it... Just.. Stop right now Jude."

"But dude come on! This has to be the same people."

"Jude shut up!" Ivan angrily yelled.

"I don't want to hear about no missing girls; This whole situation is fucked! I can't concentrate now, I'm trying to figure out where they exactly found Rahliana on this map." He looked around the woods from inside of his car. "We have to find that spot Jude.." Jude closed his eyes, he blew out a deep breath. "No.. We are not going in those woods alone.. We can't.." Ivan furrowed his brow. "This is Katrina we're talking here, we have to do it." He said low.

"No... Devlin said not to search the woods without those guys with us." Jude huffed and scrunched in his seat, and then it occurred to him. "Jasmine..." Jude hoarsely whispered, Ivan rolled his eyes. "What about her?"

"She was telling me about this hot guy that she bumped into the other day, she said she never seen him around here before."

"So?" He muttered.

Jude rolled his eyes. "So come on? Who else besides Katrina that you know moved here? In this shit-hole fucked up town?" Ivan widened his eyes. "Call her."

Morena thanked the people in the office and her and Christopher headed out the door, the wind blew her dress up and people whispered from the side of them. A younger couple curled their lips at them. "Ugh! I hate this damn stanky ass, small town!" She yelled, Christopher grabbed her hand.

"Come on, let's head back to Katrina's house."

Morena quietly walked with Christopher back to their rental, her lips began to quiver, she bit them and pulled out chapstick and applied it. She did think that the town was beautiful, and Katrina's home was lovely, but she hated that everyone was staring all of the time, like they had never seen a white man with a black woman before. "This town is extremely racist, I cannot wait to get the hell up outta here." Morena groaned, Christopher noticed the stares as well and kept quiet, when they got in the car and shut her door, he adjusted his seat, and turned on the car. They put the GPS to Katrina's house and headed that way, Morena marveled at the towns beauty. "I can't believe that she used to work in a beautiful building like that." To her, it was too modern and hipster for a small town, she admitted to herself... She was once again jealous of Katrina. "Devlin's mom is super hot..." Christopher exclaimed, Morena gave him a scowl. "Really? My sister is missing and that's what comes out of your mouth?" She growled.

"What? She is.. Like, she looks like she's our age you know? How is that even possible? Is he adopted or something?" Christopher mumbled, Morena scowled and pulled on her dress, she noticed that Devlin had her looks as well. She tried to be as polite as she could, but could tell, either Katrina or Devlin told his mother about them, because she was cold towards them. "Who are all those men with them?" Morena asked him. "I don't know? I came here on the same day as you hunny." Morena rolled her eyes and leaned back in her seat, when they pulled up to Katrina's house, as usual, the same cars were there. "How come we can't call the police?" Christopher nervously asked her, Morena swallowed. "Because.. I guess there has been too many missing girls in this town, and Devlin's family is like.. The FBI in Armenia or some mess I don't know."

Devlin knocked again.

There was no answer, He stalked back to Katrina's house, he was up for five days; He had no sleep, the rest of them got plenty of sleep but not him and his friends, he couldn't sleep not knowing if Katrina was alive or not. "bosn inch'-vor ban stats'ank'" Boss we got something. Tevan slowly said, Melanie and Angel curiously looked up from the couch, Devlin went over to one of the guys. "Wots Ap?" He mumbled, he looked down and seen a muscular tanned male with a cowboy hat in a new truck, with the little girl that he seen next door. "So.. She's real."

"Dats her." Devlin said, the men nodded in agreement, Devlin had never seen them before, people who moved in this town were walking gold mines, he could tell who was new or not, and he definitely didn't know those two. The laptop replayed them entering the grocery store, Devlin closed his eyes.

"They've been here the whole time you guys have been in Catalina." His mother whispered, looking at the surveillance video. "How do you know?" Devlin softly asked her, his mother sighed. "I've seen him a couple of times, and Becos I hear people talk of how sexy this man is." Devlin nodded his head, Melanie got up from the couch and wiped her eyes. "Yerekha, no tears... We will find her." Tigranui softly murmured, Melanie smiled, and Tigranui extended her arms out, she was crying as well, Melanie gave Devlin's mother a warm hug.

"Katrina was raised right, you did an excellent job mama bear." She murmured, Melanie nodded and looked at the laptop. "Who are they?" She asked them, Tigranui cleared her throat. "Two people.. Who do not belong here."

Katrina's door opening startled them all.

It was Jude and Ivan.

"We got his name!" Devlin lowered his eyes. "Who's name?"

"Bryce Johnson... That's the guy that Jasmine says that she seen around here, she said he has brown hair, he wears a cowboy hat and he has a daughter."

"Is dis him?" Devlin turned the laptop around and showed Ivan and Jude, the men dubiously looked down at it. "Yeah.. I think so? That's great right? We got something.. What do we do now?" Everyone looked to Devlin for the answer, he looked down at the laptop again. "I have a good feeling it has to do with me... We wait... When the time is right, we'll catch him." Everyone sighed with relief.

"Oh and Devlin..." Ivan softly murmured.

"Yes my friend."

"That's not the best part... He works for you... He recently started on the ground floor." He exclaimed.

Devlin laughed, his eyes were teary, but he didn't let himself cry. Not in front of the people that depended on him.

"Das good..." He grinned, and cracked his knuckles.

Morena and Christopher went inside Katrina's house. They had no luck finding her sister, and they were tired, they snuck in a quickie before heading inside. It was getting dark out, Melanie and Tigranui sat on the couch going though Katrina's pictures. "Look at Jared.. Awe my handsome man." Tigranui exclaimed, rubbing his face with her finger, Melanie giggled, it was a picture of Katrina, Jared and his father. Jared held a dog with a bunch of drool, dripping on his clothing.

Tigranui turned the page.

"Woah..." Melanie exclaimed and lean in to get a closer look.

Jared was asleep holding Anthony in a sexual position, they both had their shirts off. "I wonder if Katrina know's that this picture is in here." Melanie asked her, Tigranui shrugged, Devlin looked down at the photo and squinted his eyes, his friends were getting ready to leave Katrina's house to search the woods. Jude and Ivan waited for Devlin to go with them, he was getting ready to go as well, he changed into his sleek black outfit, and black combat boots.

He applied light gel on his hands and slicked his hair back.

Tigranui worriedly grabbed his hands.

"yet'e ayn ch'ap'azants' shat e stats'vum anmijapes aystegh." If it gets too much come back here immediately."

"Mi anhangstats'ek' mayry." Dont worry mom.

Melanie looked down at her phone, her mother blew her up three times. "Excuse me." She softly mumbled, and went to call her mother in Katrina's room, Morena sighed and picked at her nails, she waited for her sister to come back, but her sister was taking too long, she got up and went inside Katrina's room. Her sister sat on the bed holding a pillow to her face, Melanie was crying, Morena quickly went inside and shut the door. "Mel? What's wrong? Is it mom?" Melanie looked up and swallowed, she wiped her eyes, and looked down at her phone. "No.. Not at all." She cleared her throat. "Mom's fine, the kids are okay." She swallowed and took a look around Katrina's room again, she sighed. "The last thing I said to her was about the family... I told her not to let her anger consume her.. She has not been herself lately." She croaked, Morena awkwardly sat down next to her.

Melanie looked up and wiped a tear off her face. "What if that man killed her because she was mad at him?" Melanie whispered. "Or what if they took her because she gave them an attitude or something?" Her mouth was shut and her lips shook, Morena swallowed and looked down at the floor. "We all know Katrina is too sweet for all that..." Morena mumbled, Melanie rolled her eyes, and scoffed, she deeply scowled at her sibling.

"Why couldn't you just... Be civil with her that day she came over my house!?" She grilled.

"Did you ever think that if you and Catherine were nice to her that day, then she wouldn't have left my house in the first damn place? She could have been sitting down at the table playing uno with us!" Morena quietly sat next to her, she fiddled with her hands, she didn't dare talk back to Melanie, not after the day in Katrina's condo, she stared straight ahead. "She looked so uncomfortable that day; You don't understand how that feels, because you don't love her the way that I do, you're so cold towards her... My own sister is uncomfortable in my home because of you three, and she shouldn't have to be, that's her home too, that's her safe haven. Just as much as you all like to barge in my home unannounced, she could do that too! She just chooses not to, because of you insensitive three.. She loves you all so much I..." She paused and angrily flared at her sister. "You all treat her like shit every time you see her... Every chance you get.. It's not right!"

Morena proceeded to say something, but Melanie cut her off.

She put her finger up.

"So.. I'ma say this again... Had she not felt so uncomfortable at MY house, she wouldn't be missing! You and Catherine got what you wanted.. Okay? You wanted her gone.. Well there you have it... She's gone!" She wiped more tears off of her face and angrily whispered to her. "Are you happy now! You and Christopher gonna go celebrate? Get a beer? You gonna drive me and Angel away next!?" Morena began spilling out tears, she silently shook her head.

"And I swear... On myself, because I will never swear on the lord... I need him to protect my baby... If anything ever happens to Katrina.. If we do not find her... If she is dead in a ditch somewhere.. Then I never want to see you three again. I do not want you coming to my house... Or around my children..."

"Melanie!" Her sister yelled crying.

"Please... It's not my fault.. It's not my fault.."

Morena cried, shaking her head, she buried her head on Melanie's arm, and clutched her arm with her hands. "Please Mel... It's not my fault.." Morena wiped a tear from her face and held her sister, she looked up to search for her sister's expression. "I know... I'm sorry.." Melanie whispered, wiping her eyes. "I'm just very angry..." Morena kissed her sister on the forehead. "I'm sorry for saying those things to you.." Melanie said, clearing her throat.

Morena nodded, and swallowed. "I didn't mean for it to go on this far." She admitted. Melanie wiped her eyes. "Woman empowerment.. Just like you support other women and those celebrity's you worship, you need to support your sister.. That is your sister! We are a family! We need to make each other grow, not break each other down." Morena nodded. "I have to go back home." Melanie brokenly said. "Mom's not fine with my kids, she can't be there babysitting them, I was stupid for thinking so." Her lips quivered. "Don't worry Melanie.." Morena grabbed her hand. "Me and Christopher will help find her, get some sleep.. We're going to be here as long as it takes." Melanie nodded her head, and had a tight grip on her sister's hand, she sniffed the air. "It stinks in here... Smells like rotten sex."

Devlin and the group were in the woods.

They were silent, they didn't want to take the chance of whoever that took her, finding out about them and hurting her, he stood next to Jude. "We've been here for nine hours, we need to call it a rest and head home." Tevan shouted. "Okay." Devlin gruffly said. "You guy's head back, I'm still looking." Devlin said low, Tevan furrowed his brow. "Devlin.. Wat did we talk abot, you need rest, that's it."

"I'm staying with him." A small voice shouted from behind them, it was Morena, her newly purchased dress that she wore, because she didn't expect this to be a manhunt clung to her, it had dirt on it and holes, Ivan smirked at her. "Finally the princess is out of the castle." Jude whispered to him.

The men, all murmured their apologies to Devlin and tapped his shoulder bowing their heads, they left in silence. The remaining were Devlin, Jude, Ivan, Christopher and Morena.

Devlin headed in the direction that Jude and Ivan did not want to go. "Oh come on... Not the crew?" Jude groaned, stopping in his tracks. "Yes the crew! That's the first thing we should have checked." Devlin growled. "Is there even a crew anymore? I mean, I'm pretty sure since we left, those guys probably let all that crap go..." Jude mumbled, Christopher furrowed his brow. "What crew?" Ivan and Jude looked at each other and then widened their eyes. "Uh.. Devlin... Are you sure you want to entertain our guests this way?" Devlin stopped and faced the small group behind him. "We were shit heads, stupid dumb fucks in high school..." He said low, aggravated, Ivan set his hand on his face. "What do you mean by shitheads?" Christopher exclaimed, widening his eyes. "If it's dirt on this guy, I'm all for it." He happily thought, Devlin kicked the rocks, and rolled up his sleeves, folding his arms. "I used to be a racist fuck, and so were these two assholes next to me." He furrowed his brow at them.

Morena stopped and widened her eyes at Christopher. "That's way to much dirt." He thought to himself. "How in the hell did Katrina end up with this son of a bitch?" He angrily thought, Morena scowled at Devlin. "Figures... This town is swarming with a bunch of racist people, I'm surprised Katrina made it this far.." She scoffed.

"Hey don't judge... Katrina's actually helped this town a lot." Jude mumbled. "And the princess has left the building." He thought, annoyed.

"How? Please explain?" Morena curiously asked.

Devlin stopped. "Well... She brought all of us together, that should mean something." He sat down on a large rock. "When I first met her.. I felt myself change in a way, dat I thought... A man should see that bad side of himself; She brought me peace, so much of it.. That she made me look and see who I really was inside... A monster.. And I had to do someting abot it otherwise... Otherwise this town would be lost... She changed me, and I'm very blessed to have met her-To have her." He admitted, also correcting himself.

"Okay well if you guys are about to find a group of skinheads then me and Christopher is outtro... I am not going to be the only African American female in this journey either." Morena scowled, Devlin sighed.

"Okay... Time to go.. Head back." He mumbled.

Morena gave Devlin a questioning look.

"Well since you said it that way then.. No."

Devlin placed his hands on his face. "No go back.. I'm serious, dis is too dangerous for you two." He rushed, Christopher laughed. "What are they going to do? Hang us upside down and give us a hillbilly wedgie." He exclaimed, Morena laughed and covered her mouth, slapping Christopher's hand. "It's not a joke! Go home! Now!" Devlin yelled. It was beginning to get dark, and out of all the people, he wished Angel was there instead of those two. "Fine... I'll go, but you need to text me after you guys get done talking to this.. Crew." Morena purred at him.

Devlin rolled his eyes.

He hated that he gave her his number.

"Come on... I'll walk you guys back." Jude muttered, he was relieved, he didn't
