"Looking for these!"

Hershell yelled, throwing the keys in the air.

Morena hit the horn on the truck, it caused everyone from Katrina's house to come out, she hit the horn again. "No. No.. No!" He shouted, running back to the car, Morena kept hitting the horn. "Come on!" She thought, breathing rapidly. From the rear view mirror, she could see Christopher running towards the truck, Hershell got to the truck first and banged on the window. Morena tightly held on to the door handle, he banged again, then looked down at the key, he tried unlocking the truck, she locked it again with her shaking hands. He kept pressing the button and she kept locking it, he hit the window and moved around to the other side of the car. Morena quickly moved in the middle. Hershell unlocked the car door, and got the door halfway open, but Morena had a strong grip on the door handle and tried to pull herself forward using all of her strength. He inched closer and tried pulling the door open.

His boot slid on the road.

Christopher tackled Hershell to the ground.

Morena let go of the door handle and wiped the tears off of her face, she closed the door. "Why did I just get in this damn truck?" She opened it and sighed, sitting back in the seat, she got out of the car, and seen Christopher holding the man to the ground.

The two men were struggling.

"Yes! That's my quarterback!" She screamed with tears reaching her chin, she moved closer to the men. They both were wheezing, Hershell had a tight grip on the pole. "Get the pole!" Christopher screamed at her, she quickly took a step forward and Hershell launched a kick to her stomach. Angry, she kicked him back on the balls, he instantly dropped the poll, and she grabbed it and hit him on the legs with it. Hershell began to scream, Katrina came out of the woods after hearing Christopher yell. She ran towards her family, she felt like she couldn't run or walk anymore, and she almost tripped, she immediately stopped running.

She sobbed and wheezed.

"Morena!" She cried, holding on to her sides.

She stood in pain holding her knee's.

Morena threw the pole at the car window, the glass broke, and shattered on the floor. "That's not my car you bitch!" Hershell screamed after her, she ran to her sister, Devlin's friends reached the men, they pulled both of them off the ground and gently pushed Christopher away, but kept a strong grip on Hershell. From beneath the men; Hershell aggravatingly tried to break free, Tevan ran over and punched him in the face, Jude and Ivan were behind them, they slowly walked over to the dead end, then confusingly stared at the truck. Morena grabbed Katrina and tightly held on to her.

Both women were crying, clinging on to each other.

Morena kissed her on the face and on the cheek, and sobbed on her chest, shaking, Katrina just blankly stared at Hershell. "I can't walk anymore.." She robotically admitted; Morena nodded and looked down at her leg, Katrina wanted to sit on the ground, she tried to sit, but Morena held her up. "Hold on." She mumbled. "I need help!" She screamed back at the men, Ivan and Christopher ran over to them; Ivan grabbed Katrina and gave her a bear hug, she patted his back, he let her go and sighed with relief, Christopher awkwardly stood off to the side. He nodded his head at her, she didn't have the strength to nod back, she just let out a zombie noise. "Hey." Was all she got out, he nodded again and rubbed Morena's back. "She needs to be carried." Morena worriedly said; Tightly clutching Katrina's hand, Jude went to them, and waved at her. Katrina just kept breathing, he understood and gave her a hug. "I'll carry her." He mumbled, he slowly tried to pick her up, and was surprised that she was heavy.

She looked light as a feather to him.

"Oh my gosh." Jude puffed, he slowly set her back down. "I can't." Christopher sighed, Jude glared back at him. "What?" He slightly growled, Katrina knew who could carry her and she didn't want that happening; Although she could not walk, and was going to drop on the floor at any minute, she wanted anyone else besides Christopher carrying her. "I will." Ivan volunteered, she was relieved when he spoke up; He picked her up like she weighed nothing, and held her in his arms, he carried her back to where the men were, and the others walked with him. Katrina swallowed and stared at the men who held Hershell in a tight grip.

"Wait a minute.." She said out of breath, Ivan stopped. "Let me go." She huffed, he slowly put her down, but kept his arms around her back, just in case she fell, she swallowed, and moved closer to Hershell. He scowled at her and the group.

Tevan was on the phone with Devlin.

When he saw Katrina get closer to Hershell, he softly tried to steer her away from him, but she angrily shoved his arm out of the way. Everyone stared at her in astonishment; It was like someone lent her energy, Morena widened her eyes at Christopher. "Melanie's right..." She whispered to him, Katrina wanted to smack that scowl off of Hershell's face, they stared at each other for a long time. Both had hate in their eyes.

"Bitch.." Hershell grounded out.

They both were breathing heavy.

"Hey?" Ivan said, shaking his head at him.

He looked up at Ivan and Jude.

"You're a bunch of red necked, trailer park trash, just like me.. And don't forget it." He scoffed.

"Oh.. We won't forget... You.. And your crack head momma." Ivan and Jude giggled, and rubbed each other's elbows. "Your mom's a crackhead too." Hershell sneered at Ivan, Ivan shrugged. "Nah.. She's a potthead, not a crack head dude." He replied, with dancing eyes. "Damn... Fuck happened to your face anyways? Devlin fucked you up that bad huh?" Jude murmured, squinting at him, Ivan cracked up and walked away from the group, laughing at the sky.

"Tell these punks what happened to my face... They jumped me." Hershell snapped, nodding towards the other men, the men softly spoke to one another, and shrugged, laughing at him.

"Maybe cos you deserved it.." Tevan growled, smirking down at him.

Hershell scowled at Tevan, and Tevan just glared at him, he curled his lip at Tevan. "Just turn me into the cops... I'm ready to go.." Tevan chuckled. "You're not going to d police.." He told him, amused that he would even think that in the first place. Hershell furrowed his brow at him, not knowing what he meant, he took one last look at Katrina.

"You're lucky... You would have been down in that bottom of the Well; And no one would have found you.. And that time.. I would have thrown your ass down there.. And made sure you never got up." Jude gave him a surprised look and kicked at Hershell's shoe. "Shut up man, give it a rest."

"I don't care about no porch monkey..." Hershell snapped at him and spat at Katrina.

Katrina didn't move, she had spit on her feet, she watched as a car pulled up to her house; With the strength that she had left, she quickly bent down and snatched his catheter bag. "Stop!" Hershell screamed, also grabbing at the bag, she was so fast that he didn't have time to react to her.

She forcefully ripped the bag.

After getting off the phone with Tevan, Devlin rushed out of his office, he finally had the nap that he needed, he was asleep on the couch when Tevan called him. Hearing the exciting news about Katrina, he got off the couch, and ran towards his desk to grab his keys. He felt sick as a dog, he slowed down and rubbed his forehead and picked up his watch off the floor, he checked the time, it was nine at night. He was shocked at himself for sleeping that long, he ran out of the office, he had completely forgotten about what he asked Jasmine to do, she stopped him at the elevator.

"Devlin.. He's here." She whispered to him, she pointed down at the floor, he forced himself to stop, he angrily stepped in the elevator and adjusted his tie, pressing the button to go down. He called Tevan back and he answered. "I'm going to bring dis little punk to you and then we'll find a nice quiet place for the both of them." Devlin happily growled, he could hear someone violently screaming in the background. "That's wot I've wanted to hear from you.. Dat's d Devlin I know..." Tevan laughed, Devlin hung up on him, and waited until he was on the ground floor, he adjusted his tie one more time, and was ready.

As soon as the elevator opened, he spotted Ian right away, rushing to his cubicle, he didn't trust him to run a team by himself, ever since Hunter tried to attack Katrina. In fact; While he was in Catalina, he made sure his officials demoted him, he didn't like people tip toeing around him, it made him feel uncomfortable, like they were plotting against him. In prison, men tip toed around him, and it triggered him. Getting older, he found out that they were just more uncomfortable around him as he was with them. It made it a lot easier in his counseling sessions to spot the problem.

As a grown man, he didn't like putting a name on things.

They told him he had post-traumatic stress disorder.

As well as anxiety; High blood pressure, and depression, he wondered how Jared was feeling. "He was shot in the chest, and I'm worrying about if I might have a heart attack." Sometimes he knew it was just his anxiety. When they released him from prison, the nursing staff in Deltown State asked him if he would see a specialist outside of the facility, to regulate his medication, and help him cope with daily living.

Of course he refused, he didn't feel like he needed medication. He began to think that it was a mistake declining it, since his heart pounded when he spotted Bryce sitting in a chair at the small cafe in the corner. He had a coffee in his hand, and that little girl next to him, Devlin angrily clutched his chest. He gritted his teeth, and forced himself to breath through his nose.

Livid couldn't be the answer anymore to how he was feeling.

He felt un-beyond himself.

He hasn't told anyone about Franco... Or Jonathon.

Seeing Jonathan's scull cap, and brain sprawled around the dirt changed his life. Until Katrina came into it, he was proud to let her sister know that she really did change him for the better.

He angrily stalked towards Bryce.

"Devlin... Head of Danielyan Incorporation, it's a pleasure finally meeting you." He grounded out, rolling his sleeves up, Bryce smiled wide at him, stood up, and held his hand out. Devlin just stared at his hand and back at him coldly, Bryce placed his hand down and his smile faded as he grabbed his daughter's hand. "I'm Bryce.. This is my daughter.. Nice to meet you as well." The little girl that Devlin recognized, gave him a cheeky smile.

"Hey baby cakes? Why don't you run to the bathroom for me, and meet me back here?" Devlin sneered at him. "You're going to be gone a long time again.. No." The girl pouted, she tightly held on to him, her fingers dug into his thumb. Devlin pulled out his phone, but kept his eye on the man in front of him.

"Follow me... Now." Devlin ordered, he turned around, and whistled for Tyrone to come to them, he stood up from his chair, and walked over to them, he stopped at the edge of the cafe, and tightly held his gun. Devlin's cafe workers watched Bryce; Their expressions were scaring him, Devlin angrily walked away from him and he followed, furrowing his brow. "Where are we going?" He cautiously asked him, he stopped his daughter from walking further. "I'm sure that there's a bathroom where Devlin is taking us, let's wait okay?" He told her, Devlin sneered. "We're going to my office.. You need to fill out more paperwork for this position yes?" Bryce sighed with relief.

"Yeah man... For a minute there I thought you were-."

Devlin pushed the elevator button and then turned around, his eyes gave him a menacing expression. "You thought wot?" He frowned, Bryce widened his eyes and rubbed his daughters back. "Never mind sir.. Continue." The elevator opened, Devlin went in and stood near the buttons, Bryce was hesitant at first; Then he proceeded inside with Trinity, Tyrone amusingly stepped inside as well, Bryce swung her hand and pulled her closer to him. "Do you have any candy?" The little girl innocently asked Devlin, he gave her a half smile. "For you? Yes... And a nice room to wait in while I speak with your father." He pushed the button to their floor and they went up.

The elevator binged, and as the group stepped out, Jasmine was the first person Devlin saw. She looked utterly shocked at Bryce and his daughter. "Hello again.." Bryce warmly said to her, and winked. Giving out a signal to Devlin that they intimately knew each other.

Jasmine boiled in the inside.

She had no idea he would snitch on her like this.

"Hey... Show.." Devlin paused and bent down until he was at eye level with the little girl.

"Wot is your name beautiful?" He twinkled.

Trinity smiled at the tall handsome man in front of her. "Trinity." She said, giggling at him. "Show Trinity where the cool meeting room is; Give her all of the snacks and drinks that she needs, and put on whatever show she wants to watch on television." He smirked, Jasmine slowly nodded and held her hand out, Devlin noticed they were shaking. "Come on Trinity." She mumbled. "Hold on Jasmine.. I need to ask him something." Trinity exclaimed, Jasmine's stomach dropped, she kicked herself for even going to work, had she known this would happen.

She didn't think Devlin would do this.

Devlin widened his eyes at her when Trinity called Jasmine by her name, it was dark and misty under his lids, like he wanted to stab her. He gave her the look a man gave to a another when they have killed someone. She swallowed, and decided since she was going to hell, she might as well stick it out for the ride. "Wot tis it you want to ask me Trinity?" Devlin thickly said, his eyes traveling from Bryce to Jasmine's. "Since it took us a long time to get to this floor, are we at the tippie top of the building, like the case needle building that me and my daddy visited one time for the aquariums?" Devlin grinned at her. "It's just like dat doll.. Except.. We have a better view of the town."

Tyrone texted Jude.

"You need to get here ASAP, I think Devlin's in some shit."

It took a while before Jude replied to him, he didn't know why he felt rushed today. Seeing Devlin this way made him uneasy, he knew the dude got out of prison. "But I didn't think he was in this deep with shit."

Jude instantly replied back.

"On our way.. We found Katrina."

Tyrone read the message again. "The fuck is going on? There's always something up with this bunch.."

Jasmine escorted Trinity to the meeting room.

Devlin waited until they were gone, and cleared his throat, he addressed his employee's. "This particular design needs to be done by midnight, so I need you all to head downstairs with your layouts; Each of you will be accompanied by Mr. Seattle down in the art room, if you have any questions.. Save them for later." He shouted, people stood up from their desk's eager to head towards the elevator, some had been sitting on hours end. To Devlin, he thought that, that was once again giving them a small break. "Could we take a break?" Someone asked him, they had already been close to the elevator. "Why do they need a break when it's almost time for them to go?" Devlin dismissed the thought. "Ya.. Dats fine." People cheered as they happily entered the elevator.

Devlin headed towards his office.

Bryce followed behind him, looking around at the cubicles, Devlin's floor was much nicer than the ones on the bottom. Each cubicle had space, the glass walls between the private offices outside of the cubicles impressed him, he knew his father's company created suits, but didn't know the extent to it. Devlin sat down in his chair and pulled out an energy drink from his mini fridge, Bryce was thirsty; He didn't feel like drinking his coffee anymore after spotting Devlin's drink, he and Trinity didn't get a chance to grab anything to eat either from the Cafe downstairs.

"I have my paperwork with me-." He slowly said, licking his lips at the drink.

Tyrone shut and locked the door behind him, Bryce uncomfortably looked back at Tyrone and swallowed.

"What is your previous work experience?" Devlin gritted, he folded his hands and leaned back in the chair, Bryce gave him a sly smile. "I thought that I already got the job?" Devlin smirked. "You did not once speak with me; You spoke with my hiring department, I need to know for myself if you are... Suitable for this position." Devlin smiled, he's heard his father say this multiple times, and each time it was still funny.

Bryce scratched his head.

"I was in construction for a year in a half, then I worked at Ducky's Cafe on tenth street, then got transferred here."

Devlin pretended like he was writing information down, but he really drew an address for Tyrone to head to. "So you have no experience as a tailor?" He mumbled, still looking down, Bryce nodded. "How kin' I hire you then if you are of no use to me?" Devlin sighed, clicking his pen. "Like I said; I worked at Ducky's in New Elm for a year." Bryce mumbled, Devlin pursed his lips. "New Elm is far from Minerva, on the other side of the map."

"Wot made you decide to move all of the way here?"

Devlin curiously asked him, leaning forward, Bryce smiled. "Work opportunities.. It said on the news that Minerva's housing prices were low, our house in New Elm went up, so we moved, my daughter picked the house we moved into by the way... She likes the neighborhood." He smirked.

Devlin quietly stared at him.

"I'm not hiring for my cafe, I'm hiring for a position in tailoring, I could place you in stocking but that would require your whole day. Most of my employee's in stocking work graveyard; I'm sure it wouldn't be right to work all night... Not seeing your daughter." He grumbled.

Bryce thought he heard cockiness, but he wasn't too sure.

"Don't worry... I have a maid at home that could watch my little girl for me." Bryce said, with a derisive expression on his face.

Devlin stared the man down.

He knew he was referring to Katrina, his chest tightened and he savagely cracked his whole hand, by closing it in a fist. He wanted to play stupid long enough to get this guy where he needed to take him.

"A maid huh?" Devlin gritted through his teeth.

Bryce smiled. "E'yeah, well.. Actually I meant a new girlfriend.. No offense." He said, looking at the ceiling. "My wife died in a car accident; Haven't found anyone since then, thought this town would be a great start, and it has been so far, although... I had to shuffle through a lot of women that my daughter didn't like, and now me and my maid is hitting it off... My daughter actually likes her.. Might even marry her." He grinned.

Devlin gave out a deep manly chuckle.

"Dis man is crazy."

"Dats nice you find comfort in... Maids.. I seem to do so myself." Devlin pursed his lips; Remembering Katrina in his father's work out fit, he grinned.

"How is it? That you are able to afford a maid with no job?" Devlin rudely asked him, Bryce smiled at him.

"She works for free.. She's my girlfriend of course..."

"Dumbass..." Devlin evilly thought.

"You're hired... You kin start with stocking,
