"Oh my God! I can't believe you did that. I mean that was so amazing, you happen to be the  only  girl who has ever stood up on Kylie." Sammy said, as soon as I reached her table. So, that bimbo was Kylie.

I opened my mouth to reply to Sammy, but the words spoken were not mine.

"Hey, I'm Chase, Sam's best friend."

Said the boy, whom I had assumed was Sammy's boyfriend, he was pretty good looking too, with his strawberry blonde hair and light brown eyes.

"I'm Xandra."

"Urgh, how many times do I need to tell you to stop calling me Sam, it's very boyish." Sammy started.

"Your name is too long for me to take and I ain't calling you Sammy, it's very weird," Chase replied, casually.

"Why you-"She was interrupted by me.

"You know what? Even I'm gonna call you Sam, it's cute."

"No, not you too."

"Oh, but I like Sam, Sammy is too long."

"Okay then, I'm gonna call you Alex."

"No, you won't. I despise that name."

"Oh, I like you already." Said Chase, winking at me.

And in return, I gave him one of my most amazing smiles.

But before I could give him a reply, Sam grabbed me by my shoulders and made me turn to face her, she looked like she would die if I didn't talk to her.

"Why didn't you tell me that you were flirting with Travis, you know Kylie is gonna kill you, you're in so much danger right now."

"Tavis was flirting with me, not the other way around. Is Kylie Travis's girlfriend?"

"No, they are like sex buddies, but Kylie has an obsession with him."

"Oh."

And that's when the bell rang, signaling us that lunch was over.

I promised Sam that I would give her the rest of the details after school.

Sam had parted her way.

I and Chase were having the same class so we were going together; I hate Chemistry. We went through the long route, joking around and laughing at each other, I know that we are late, but I couldn't care less.

I got to know that Chase was also in the football team and how he and Sam were friends since childhood and all.

I opened the door to the chemistry lab and literally, everyone In the room was looking at me and Chase, who had his arm around my shoulder.

The grumpy teacher gave us a pointed look and didn't look too pleased.

"May I know why you two are late to class?"

"Well, I-"

"Save your silly excuses, this should not happen again. Mr. Stone, I suggest you go to your chemistry partner. And Miss Black, I believe you have a lot to catch up, I am partnering you with Mr. Parker."

What?!

How...what...no...I mean what partners?

And out of all people, she had to pair me up with the bad boy, who I don't think is very good at studies, I mean, come on, he's a bad boy, there is a 90% chance that he skips school. I think I'm better than him at studies.

God, help me.

"What are you waiting for, Miss Black?"

The teacher's voice broke me from my trance and I felt my cheeks heat up.

I noted that Cole was at the very end of the room standing alone whereas everyone was standing with their partner.

Inwardly sighing, I made my way towards him.

"Hey," I said with a smile on my face.

He simply glances at me, then back at the teacher and says, "Hey." and then, there's this awkward silence between us.

"Hey Xandra." Said Ryder, who, I just noticed, was standing in the table beside mine and his partner was Blake, who I think was busy listening to the teacher, just like Cole. And to the left side of my table was Brody along with a red-haired girl, whom I noticed was with them at lunch too.

And no, I  wasn't stalking them, I was observing them. I'm very observant.

"Hey Ryder."

"You know, you're different from the girls I've  met." He started.

"I am?"

"Yes, I thought you were one of those girls in our school who would do anything to talk to me, but you aren't even affected by my looks."

"You really expected me to kiss your feet, just because you're good looking? Did you think so low of me? I'm disappointed. You see, in my previous school, there were boys who would kill to even breath the same air as me."

Ryder looked shocked to hear this as if he didn't expect me to say this but quickly composed his expression and smirked at me.

"Well, I see why they did that," he said as he eyed me from head to toes.

"But, I don't get why the girls in this school do that for you," I said as I eyed him head to toes, distastefully.

Hearing this, Blake burst into laughter and even Cole smirked but Ryder looked too shocked to say anything, and by looking at his expression, even I start laughing and I laughed so hard that I was on the verge of tears.

But when I stopped laughing, I noticed the whole class was looking at me and Blake as if I and him had grown a second head.

The teacher, however, was glaring at us.

"May I know what is so funny, Miss Black?"

"Ma'am-"

"Save your silly excuses, this shouldn't happen again."

God, this was the second time she had cut me off.

Blake and I looked at each other and smirked.

And That's when the bell rang.
