Xandra's outfit above^^ you can imagine something else if you want to.

Making my way to the parking lot, I noticed Antony furiously talking to Travis, who were both standing near Cole's car.

I reached near them. But they didn't notice me.

"Hey." I said, smiling at them.

Travis winked at me, while Antony said, "You again?"

"Well, I study at this school. We are bound to see each other." I said, glaring a little at him.

"Hey Xandra, remember that offer I gave you on your first day here? Well, it's still open for you." Travis said, smugly as he ran a hand through his hair.

I subtly noticed some marks on Travis's arms.

Scratch marks.

What the fuck?

Did he choke Kylie?

But why?

Because she was his sex buddy and maybe seeing her with James angered him?

Just a theory.

Does this mean Kylie was killed by not one but two people?

I should tell Tyler about this.

On a second note, I shouldn't.

Why should I envolve him in every matter of my life if he is practically forcing me to do What I don't want to do.

Our friendship isn't the same anymore.

We don't prank on each other anymore.

We don't knock on each other's door in the middle of the night for a silly reason.

We don't skip our classes together just to hang out on the beach.

We don't party anymore.

We don't do anything anymore.

All because of one third of our trio being no more amongst us.

I fucking hate life.

"Hey, Xandra?" Antony asked, shaking me a little.

"Yeah?"

"You spaced out. What were you thinking?"

"Oh, nothing very important."

"You were thinking about me, weren't you? I know I am good looking but you don't have to fantasise about me during the day time." Travis butted in.

I rolled my eyes as Antony playfully smacked his head, from the back.

"Heard about Kylie?" I carefully asked him.

Travis wasn't smiling anymore, as he had a blank look on his face.

He's a suspect too.

"Yeah." He said, so quietly that I thought he said something else.

I hummed in response, as I waited for Cole to come out.

Suddenly, I heard shouts from afar.

Those voices seemed familiar.

I looked at Antony, who was already looking at me, before making a run.

Though Travis didn't understand anything, he came along.

Reaching near Cole and James, I saw the sight.

They were fighting.

Cole's lips were bleeding badly and James' cheek was swollen.

A little bit like mine.

Antony hurriedly pulled James away from Cole and Travis did the same for Cole.

I stood there, numb.

Cole was the one defending James and now he's fighting with him?

Cole's eyes met mine, but I looked away.

I started walking away from the scene.

"Wait." Cole said, grabbing my elbow lightly but I snatched it away.

"No." I said, as I walked out of the parking lot.

I didn't turn back, and neither did he try to stop me again.

After a few minutes, I realized my mistake.

I should've waited for Cole. Do I have to walk home now?

I groaned internally but kept walking.

A familiar black car stopped right infront of me.

Antony.

I quickly got into his car.

He's such a life saver.

I stared at myself in the mirror.

I was wearing a long red dress, which was kind of contrasted with silver.

Not much skin was shown, but the dress cupped all my body tightly and was very very very tight in the chest area.

I paired my silver heels with the dress, and matched  a silver clutch too.

I didn't straight my hair, like usually I did.

Instead, I made an elegant bun, with a few hair coming out from the front.

As for my make up, I didn't do much other than applying red lipstick and wing eyeliner and of course the essentials.

Applying my favourite perfume on my pulse points, I smiled at last.

I'm finally ready.

My smile wasn't a happy smile, it was a sad one.

Because I didn't want to go.

I wanted to run away from my hectic life.

Should I kill myself too? Nah. I won't do that shit.

I did try once though, by cutting my wrists, but it didn't work out because I panicked, looking at the little amount of blood.

I'm a coward.

How great was my life back then.

No revenge...no nothing.

Just me, Jasmine and Tyler.

Why did life have to be so unfair?

Someone knocked lightly at my door, as my mom's head came in view.

She opened the door, fully coming in.

She wore an off shoulder mermaid style, black dress.

She looked really gorgeous in it.

She pulled me towards her, crashing me into a hug.

I held her tightly against me. Not wanting to let go.

"Something wrong, sweetie?" She faintly asked me.

"I miss her, mom." I said, trying not to cry and ruin my make up.

My mom's hand carassed my back, hoping to make me calm.

"Don't worry love, good times will come." She said.

"When, mom? I've done my waiting. I don't think I can tolerate life's unfair means anymore."

"Maybe, your time will come today. I hope some great boy notices my beautiful baby."

"Did I hear boy?" Dad asked coming into my room.

He wore a black tuxedo, matching mom's.

"Yes. For once don't start your im-her-father-so-its-my-work speech." Mom said, strictly.

"Princess, you look so pretty. I can't believe my daughter has grown up to be such a beautiful human, inside and outside. Hmm, I'll have a hard time keeping boys away. Especially that Parker boy." Dad said.

Hmm, let's not talk about Cole.

I haven't talked to him since the fight yesterday.

"What's wrong with him? He's good looking, and totally into Xandra."

"That is the problem. He shouldn't be into her."

"What--" I cut mom off.

"Let's go, we are getting late." I said, and they nodded.

The Parker's farm house.

That's where we are going.

No wonder they're so loaded.

It's actually situated in the outskirts of the town.

No traffic, just peace.

Walking into the gates, I caught myself before falling and embarrassing myself.

Mom and dad were walking infront of me.

Getting in, I realized many heads turned our way.

I sucked a breath in, as people started whispering while looking at us.

Everyone was dress formally, in a black or white dress.

Except me. I decided to wear a red dress, so naturally I was standing out.

Walking further, I decided to simply follow my parents, not wanting to get lost in the big place.

I noticed Rebecca walking towards us.

She herself wore a black slit dress.

Am I the only one wearing a red dress?

Damn, this is awkward.

After hugging me, she told me about Cole's whereabouts.

Even though I didn't want to know.

I sighed as everyone got busy talking to each other.

I walked towards the food court.

The only place which can make me happy.

Taking a wafer out, I dipped it in the chocolate fountain, which I found really awesome.

I was about to take a bite, but sadly couldn't when the someone ate it from my very hands, so fast that I couldn't react.

That someone was, Cole Parker.

I turned to glare at him,but noticed how fine he looked today.

He wore a black suit, white shirt inside and...

And, a red tie.

We're matching. How?

I sucked a breath in, when Cole leaned in.

"We are a power couple, kitten. We are supposed to match." He whispered huskily as he stood straight again.

I said that loud didn't I?

Cole nodded.

I facepalmed myself.

Just at the moment, the host, announced about a game of dance where everyone could take part. The couple left in the end wins. You gotta switch partners by twirling.

"Kitten, a dance with me?" Cole asked, his hand out.

I stared at it for a moment, before placing mine on it.

He led me to the dance floor.

A light rhythm started playing, as Cole placed his hands on my waist, pulling me closer.

I placed my hands on his shoulders, as I looked up at him.

Damn, I'm short.

"Did I tell you how breathtaking you look today?" He asked, smiling at me a little.

I blushed. Since when did I get so girly.

Oh yeah, I'm a girl. I've been girly since childhood. Or my birth perhaps.

"Thank you. You look really handsome as well."

"I know, kitten."

"Is this a coincidence that or did you know my dress color?"

"Lilly told me."

"I knew it."

"Hey Xandra, I wanted to tell you about J-"

"Please don't. I don't want to talk about it. At least not now. Let me live today. Just today."

"As you wish. I just wish the best for you."

"I know you do."

"The other day you said you liked..."

"Yeah, what I said was true. I've taken a liking in a monkey."

"Just like how I took a liking in a kitten."

"Yeah. Why do you like me, though? There is nothing special about me. I'm just an 18 years old girl, with brown hair and brown eyes."

"Don't say that again. You are more than just a girl. This is one of the things I like about you. You have the ability to do wonders without even realising it."

"What wonder did I do?"

"You are standing out from the rest of the black and white people here. Probably the prettiest girl here, who had boys turning there heads twice just to look at her probably."

He twirled me around, before crushing me back to his chest.

He looked into my eyes, as I craned my neck a little to look at him.

His eyes really were a great shade of green.

He smiled at me, before twirling me with full force.

This time, he let go of my hand, and I was caught by Cage.

Antony Cage.

Antony looked handsome, wearing a black tuxedo and a blue tie, which was kind of highlighting his baby blue eyes.

"Hey." He said, flashing me a breathtaking smile.

"Hello." I said, smiling at him as well.

"You look...great." He said, looking anywhere but at me.

That's weird.

"You look great yourself." I complimented as he smiled a little looking at me.

"Thank you."

"Yeah. So, how's things going?"

"All great."

I blew a strand of my hair, which was covering my face.

But that stubborn strand came back again.

"You look better in long hair." Antony said.

"What?"

"I mean, you look better in long hair, rather than keeping it short like you used to do."

I had short hair, my whole life. How does he know that?

"I Uhm...saw a picture of yours with James."

Oh.

"Well thank you, Antony."

"Mhmm."

Just as he said that, he pulled me closer to him, so close that I could feel his breath on my cheek.

As if we almost kissed.

But he kissed me on the cheek, before twirling me around and letting me go.

Now, that was strange.

Do you know who caught me next?

My dad.

He was surprised when he saw me.

"Hey dad."

"I saw you with that Parker boy again."

"That was nothing."

"Whatever you say."

We talked about life, and how I'm handling things.

Then, he twirled me around, letting me go.

The person who caught me this time, was someone I really didn't want to see.

James Cage.

He placed his hands on my waist, and I did the same on his shoulder.

He smirked at me.

I smirked back.

"Looking hot, baby doll."

"I know. I was just looking for a hot guy with whom I could hook up tonight."

Just as I said those words, James' hold tightened on my waist.

He pulled me closer, I tried to stay away, but he was too strong for me.

"Did you break up with Cole?"

"We aren't dating."

"Then what are you guys?"

"Friends."

"Yeah right. Friends snog each other."

"What is your problem?"

"Stay away from him and Antony."

"Why?"

"Because you're mine."

"Oh please. Ever since you've arrived here, you've been shagging girls like literally every hour."

He sighed.

"You don't get it, do you?"

"What do you mean?"

"I will continue doing this to protect you."

"To protect me from whom?"

"The person who murdered Jasmine and Kylie."

A/N,

That's it for today.

Thank you so much for 1.05 million reads. This means so much to me.

Did Jasmine and Kylie die because of one person?

Who knows. Wait, I do.

Stay tuned till next time.
