''Can't you bring that lazy ass of yours out so that you could socialize a bit?''

''First, I'm not lazy and second, are you trying to say that I'm anti-social?''

''I was just pointing out the facts''

''Haha, very funny.''

''I know, I've got a good sense of humor anyways get ready sweetie.''

''But-''

''No buts, you are  coming with me, that's it.''

''Urgh...fine.''

''That's my good girl, now give me five minutes.''

Saying this, my mom went upstairs to get ready. My mom and I are more like besties rather than having that strict mom and daughter relationship and let me tell you one thing, she swears, I mean it's not that I don't use bad words, it's just that she uses it way more than me, I mean seriously? She should be the one correcting me but she kinda supports me. Oh, and one more thing, you can't win an argument with my mom, she's stubborn( just like me) but that's not the point. My mom knows how to make her way in.

I sighed. I'm stuck.

I made my way back to my room and picked up my iPhone and stuffed it in my back pocket. I then made sure that I looked decent enough for you know...meeting my new neighbors.

''Do I look good enough sweetie?''

''Yes, yes you do but I look better mom, like always.''

Rolling her eyes, my mom adjusted her shirt and pressed the doorbell button.

You see, my mom is very insecure, she always seems to underestimate herself and keeps worrying way too much but I, unlike her, am very confident, a trait I inherited from dad (thank god).

Back to the point, here I was with my mom, standing in front of the neighbor's door waiting for them to open the damn door and welcome us in.

I mean, come on, who wants to spend the very first day in a new town with her mom, I mean don't get me wrong, I love my mom but this is out of my boundaries. I'm just waiting for this shot to get over.

I was so lost in thought that I almost didn't notice when the door opened and a brunette women who was in her early 40's with green eyes was standing and smiling in front of us. She looked like a kind lady with a heart of gold, she had sharp features due to which I could tell that she must've been a beauty during her youth.

"Oh, Lilly I was just waiting for you and oh, Is this beautiful girl your daughter?" Said the kind women, whom I've taken this sudden liking.

"Yes, this is my daughter, Alexandra, and Alexandra, this is Rebecca Parker." Introduced my mom, and that's when the realization hit me, she was already friends with Rebecca, she just didn't want to come alone. God damn it!

"It's a pleasure meeting you, Mrs. Parker." I smiled at her.

"Call me Rebecca and besides the pleasure is all mine, Alexandra" she gave me a kind smile which I returned.

"Just call me Xandra, Rebecca."

"Well, what are you guys waiting for? Come in."

With that, she welcomed us in. Their house was just like ours. Everything was literally the same except for the wall colors and interior designs. Their wallpaper was turquoise, which was quite unique and attractive.

I was too busy taking in my surrounding that I didn't notice that mom and Rebecca started walking inside the house and in the living room.

I stopped dead on my tracks, as I saw him.

And that's where I noticed the world's most cutest thing ever, sitting on the couch and busy coloring something with crayon.

I inwardly squealed. I mean how can anyone be so cute. Aww.
