The vibration from his phone beside his head had woken him from his sleep. He blinked away his sleep as he propped himself up onto his elbow while picking up the device now demanding his attention. Hitting the answer button on the display and bringing the device to his ear he groans slightly and rolls onto his back to drape his arm over his eyes that stung from the light of the phone.

"Oh. Did I wake you?" Eiji's voice came through the device in a comical way that entailed that he already knew that TJ was sleeping, but also that he intended to wake the sleeping male.

"Don't worry about it." TJ grumbles back already mentally picturing the small innocent smile that Eiji would be adorning at that very moment.

"I won't then. I'm outside though." He points out as if an afterthought and the call ends abruptly.

TJ looks to the device's screen to confirm that he indeed was just hung up on before he could say anything else and sighs deeply. The trudge to the front door in the darkened home seemed to be like dragging weights behind him as the exhaustion had yet to leave him. He unlocks the door and swings it open for Eiji to stand in the doorway with a hamburger in his mouth and his eyebrows raised in that startled amusement of his friends groggy appearance. He snorts out a bit of a laugh and finishes biting off a piece of the greasy sandwich.

"You look terrible-" Eiji manages through a full mouth though shielding it with his burger from TJ's view as he scans over the more than agitated male before him.

"Aw I love you too." TJ sighs outs rubbing at his eyes in hopes to rouse himself further, already knowing that this wasn't some friendly visit.

Eiji holds up the brown paper bag to TJ and sways it slightly as to entice him further into whatever ordeal he was about to announce, in which his friend had no choice but to oblige to. Not that he would refuse, but it worth the game of portraying humanitarian displays despite the actual truth of the matter.

"I got you one, and some fries." Eiji announces and withdraws the bag just enough for TJ to be unable to reach and points to the flat black car in the driveway behind him in signal as he continues to chew. "Put some clothes on. We are going somewhere."

"Where?"

"Somewhere you'll like." Eiji automatically answers turning away and sitting on the steps of the entryway in show that he was going to wait for TJ to return so that they could leave. But also hinting that he wasn't going to leave without him, and he was determined.

TJ sighs and turns back towards the house, leaving the door wide open, knowing that if he didn't, Eiji would become curious as to why he was shut out and begin to peruse through the home in hopes of finding out any new found hobbies or secrets that his friend had picked up. The tell-tale would have been the sweater that was draped over the back of the chair in the dining room from Cyren's visit earlier on in the day and that wasn't something that TJ was willing to talk about at that given time. Considering he hadn't the slightest idea why he was even conversing with the girl, or why he was being so open with her, or even why he felt the need to hide it. But this definitely wasn't the time for that conversation and it wasn't something that he even knew how to explain. He didn't like to speak on something that he didn't have all of the details for. Him and Eiji were very similar in thought process, a bit of mannerisms, and a lot on how they responded to things, so it would be a banter of questions to questions to answering with more questions in which would leave them both in a state of sheer confusion. As TJ dressed in a pair of black pants and pulled on his preferred hoodie for night excursions, which primarily was black save for the sleeves being a dark grey, he quickly shuffled back down the hallway to see Eiji just now getting curious and leaning back to look into the living room.

"It's so clean. You've always been good at that, any particular reason?" He quirks looking over his shoulder to the approaching ravenette now pulling on his high top black Vans.

"Uhh I just cleaned today? You know I can't stand clutter." TJ responds easily with a shrug of nonchalance that would go along with his usual aloof behavior, but he could feel Eiji's squinted eyes on him.

Eiji was one of those people that you couldn't lie to, at least not for him. There was a saying that best friends were originally one soul that was split in two to live on separate lives to find each other again in the living. Although anything spiritual wasn't completely his forte, it was something to ponder from time to time as a realization of another similarity would come forth. They were quite different as people, personality wise, deep down the nature could be paralleled, and it was something that he admired. A comfortability, like a security, this person would never betray him, this person would never judge him, this person would never leave. Which spoke on volumes in comparison to everyone else he had ever encountered. You can tell from the first few moments of meeting someone just what kind of person that they will be, whether they're along for the ride, or along for the life. And Eiji was one of those that would be along for the life, he was certain. It was rare to come across anyone like that. Considering he had believed that all of his life that only people come around to exit at some point. Once a person got what they wanted, they had no further use or purpose for you and would ultimately move on. It was the same as new developments in technology, an outdated piece will eventually malfunction, stop working, and then be inevitably replaced just by the design. Sometimes people would upgrade before any of that would happen and leave the device prior still in top operating order. The comparisons between humans and their ideals was synonymous with materialism and possessions. Though it was baffling that not many could make the connection. Humans portray themselves in such a way that it can show how they will treat anything and everything around them, and that would speak for itself. If one thing is as disposable to them enough to disregard it and move on, what limitations are set as to what is considered as disposable? Values? Morals? Those are just guidelines for those that fear death.

But this was different. They expected nothing of each other, didn't ask for anything more than advice or the occasional opinion on a matter, they didn't see each other something to be used or to gain anything from. The word companionship comes to mind and that was a little too weak for the resounding eminence of their existence to one another. The existence was what was key. Almost as validation for one another, but it was something a bit more prominent. TJ didn't question it, it felt natural, and normal. Which was worth more than anything to him, considering those were once foreign aspects to him.

"Wanna drive?" TJ asks collecting the keys from the hook and curling his fingers over them protectively as to not drop them as he closes the door to stand directly behind Eiji as he's still sat on the steps.

"You know that I don't like to." Eiji chimes in a playful way which means that he would much rather prefer to never drive if he doesn't have when with TJ, it allowed for him to navigate with his treasured tablet, and eat freely without any concern for their surroundings.

TJ chuckles and nudges his friend with his knee to his shoulder gently to get him up for them to leave. Eiji glares up over his shoulder to him in a show of his annoyance at the small gesture to get him to move.

"I'm not a dog, don't nudge me." He spats out but only causing TJ to burst into laughter at the retort, regardless of Eiji actually getting to his feet and beginning to make his way to the car.

They both get into the car as the lights flash signaling that the vehicle is unlocked. Eiji immediately tosses the bag of fast food on TJ's lap and pulls out his tablet from his backpack and unlocking the screen. TJ raises his eyebrows at the heavy bag and opens it to retrieve one of the hamburgers, seeing that his companion had purchased enough to feed nearly ten people if need be. They sit there for a moment as Eiji navigates through the device and pulling up a GPS app that immediately shows a blinking white dot moving through the blue grid coordinates.

"As suspected, they're on the move. I've been following them all day and you don't even want to know how I got the chip on him. Eden sent me the file this morning. And well... he deserves what's coming to him." Eiji mumbles clicking on a few touch screen keys to pull up further details on the location, bringing up the street names and small clips from security footage.

"I didn't receive anything." TJ announces pulling his phone from his hoodie pocket and checking the screen again.

The time flashes across the top of the screen; 2:17 AM. TJ glares at the time and glances to Eiji watching the tablet screen intently.

"Do you ever sleep?" TJ sneers out in disapproval at the given hour and begins to calculate the amount of time this will take as well as when he has to be up the next morning to prepare for classes.

"You already know the answer to that. Alright. He's almost to the location. Considering the given time, he should have just been leaving the bar, and his movements are confusing. Inebriated I'm sure. Which means-"

"I'll be doing the heavy lifting.." TJ finishes with a sigh of disinterest, laced with his usual monotonous disapproving tone.

"I'll help." Eiji smiles in that innocent way that was meant to be offered as consolation but it only made TJ laugh now because he already knew that he wasn't going to actually help with the physical aspect, they always left that to TJ.

There were things that one could do that the other couldn't. And it worked like a piece of art coming together. As if one were to come up with the initial design, the other would paint in the color, and it worked in a messy way that still came off as abstract beauty. But it was a completion. Where one starts, the other finishes.

"Poor bastard....." Eiji murmurs with a sigh and yet smiles looking out the windshield as TJ fires up the engine and begins to back out of the driveway.

"Hmm?" TJ hums in response, rolling his lips in to bite down on them in his usual habit looking to him for a moment.

Eiji leans over unexpectedly and taps the tip of TJ's nose and sits back in his seat as if nothing happened. TJ furrows his brow at the odd action and steps on the brakes giving Eiji an inquisitive look.

"I've always wanted to poke your nose." He offers up in explanation with a shrug and holds up his tablet again. "But this guy....oh... he's fucked." He finishes with a grin that could rival the Cheshire Cat's.
