Destroy me?

His words sent a ball of nerves down my throat. I tried to understand why he was acting this way to me. I wonder what had happened to him that made him act so bitter towards everything.

What had he gone through that turned him into this person?

It doesn't give him an excuse to act that way towards anybody. He shouldn't be that rude and cruel to anyone he talked to. So, why was he?

I didn't want to see him. I didn't want to talk to him, but every time I tried too, I couldn't seem to stay away.

I always found myself at the beginning.

I had been through a lot these past months and Giovanni hadn't changed a bit. I understand he was a gang leader and that's how he was supposed to act, but couldn't he be nicer outside of his job.

I wished I didn't let him get to me, but I do. His opinions of me matter to me and I knew I shouldn't let them, but I always found myself thinking about his words.

He said them so powerful and harshly. I sometimes was convinced he doesn't have a heart beating in his chest. He was insensitive, it seemed almost inhuman.

I went to my room and took a shower. I decided I needed a warm shower to calm myself down. I entered my room and found myself staring in the mirror.

My cheeks were hallow and my eyes were puffy. They were red from all the crying and were starting to seriously my face.

I would usually be at spas and treating myself, so none of this would happen, but currently I couldn't do anything.

I was trapped within these walls. I couldn't even go out of the house without anyone. We're in a different country, where do they expect me to go.

I tested the water to the right temperature and hopped in the shower. The warm water trickled on my back and I felt all the chlorine get out of my skin. My pores opened up again and I soaked into the steaming water.

I washed my hair and my body. I cringed at where Giovanni had touched me. At least he stopped. At lease he didn't do what that guy had done.

I finished my shower and got out of the tub. I wrapped the clean fluffy towel around my petite body and got out of my bathroom.

I walked into my room and sat on my bed. If you would have asked me a couple months ago that any of the things happening to me now, would happen, I wouldn't have believed you. This all seemed impossible to me.

It was crazy how I just wanted ice cream and that led to this. I missed my old life, but I had grown up so much since then.

I even had one of the best parties, everyone noticed me. Everyone cared that it was my birthday, expect Giovanni he was being, well himself.

I got dressed and walked out of my room only to be pulled back by my forearm. I yelped in surprise, I felt a hand cover my hand. I heard a gun shot downstairs.

I gasped, but it came muffled by the hand. I looked up to see Grae. I haven't ran into him in a while, I was surprised to see him here.

He had a normal glare as he stared down at me with his icy eyes. I gulped, he looked intimidating in this lighting. I tried to get his hand off my over my mouth, but he just snapped his eyes to mine and I instantly stopped struggling.

My heart was racing. What was happening?

He slowly let go of my mouth and I was about to scream, when he brought his finger to his mouth, signalling me to stop talking.

I started to shake, my hands trembling. I was confused on what was happening, but being in this right space with Grae brought my heart rate up, and not in a good way.

He looked at me, confused, he was about to touch my hands, but I quickly retracted them.

"D-Don't touch me," I exclaimed, a little too loud.

His eyes widened and he brought his finger to his mouth again. I closed my eyes and shut my mouth.

There was another gunshot and I remembered Valeria. My eyes widened and I tried to get away from Grae.

"What are you doing?" He whispered, harshly.

I just needed to find Valeria. I couldn't lose her and it definitely couldn't be my fault. I shouldn't have called her that day.

I pouted the direction of the stairs downstairs and he frowned. "You can't go downstairs," he whispered.

"Stay here, don't move, I'm going to see if they need help downstairs," Grae said.

He reached for the handle, but stopped once I asked. "What's happening?"

"We're getting attacked," he answered, nonchalantly.

I closed my eyes in a frustrated movement. "Make sure Valeria is okay, and be careful," I told him.

He nodded his head and opened the door, shutting it closed behind him.

If he thought I would really stay behind while everyone was out there, he thought wrong.

I needed to see if Valeria was okay. I needed to know who those bullets had hit.

I got of the room, Grae told me to stay in and tip toed down the stairs.

I caught a glimpse of men in black, they were holding guns and looked intimidating. There mouths were covered with a black mask and they were all strong and built.

Giovanni was pointing the gun at them and waited for the right moment to attack.

The rest of the crew already took down two on their side. They were lying lifeless on the ground.

I gasped, sharply at the sight of the blood. How were they going to clean this up?

My eyes fleet the scene, all the attention was on me. Usually I would like the attention, but this was like murder attention. I was asking to be killed.

"I told you to stay in the room," Grae yelled at me. His voice was angry.

I was getting bored in the room. I looked around to find Valeria. She was no where to be found.

I felt panic hit me, she wouldn't have been shot, since I heard two gunshots and they were the bodies on the floor with the other team.

"Where's Valeria?" I asked. I could care less that they all had their guns on me. I had to make sure she was alright.

I suddenly felt a force bring me towards them. I felt a cold gun against my temple.

"Is this the girl?" The guy holding me asked them.

What girl? Are people looking for me?

"I'm asking you is this the girl? If it's not I will shoot her," they threatened. His voice rose higher and it sounded distorted.

I looked at the boys with a panicked expression. I didn't want to be shot.

"Yes," Giovanni answered.

I felt him walk towards the door. "She was all we wanted."

I felt my heart drop, what? They wanted me.

I tried to get out of his grip, but he was stronger.

"Let go of me!" I knew I had to protect myself, since Giovanni couldn't care less if they took me. "I'm not getting kidnapped again!" I shouted.

I felt someone grab me from the guy and pulled me towards them. It was Derrick.

I wrapped my arms around him. I missed his hugs.

"Just give us the girl and we'll be ok our way, no one else has to die," he explained.

"You mean no one else on your side," Tobias said, darkly. I have never seen this side of him before. What did he have like a switch in his mind?

"I mean no one, not even the franchise," he pointed to me. So, what? I didn't even qualify as a person.

"Franchise?" I shouted. I tried to attack him, but Derrick held me back. "I'm not a franchise. I'm a person. Which you probably won't know, you robot guy.

When he talked it wasn't even his real voice.

"You really want this annoying girl in your gang?" He asked.

I gasped, I felt offended. Who did this robot guy feel he was?

"Let me go, I'm going to rip that robot mask from off your face and-"

"Okay," Derrick whispered. "That's enough, you're not helping your case."

Everyone's attention went to Giovanni as the guy asked. "Do you really want her in the gang?"

I definitely didn't want to go with them. I didn't know who they were. The gang on the other hand was like my family. I hoped they felt the same.

It was silent before Giovanni's words pierced through my chest. "No."

"There you have it, hand the girl over," the robot voice stated.

I moved my speechless gaze from Giovanni to Derrick, he was the only one who could protect me. He was also my brother, so that was an advantage.

Until he pushed me towards them. I clutched onto Derrick. "No! Please, Derrick don't let them take me," I pleaded with him.

He refused to look at me and handed to me them. I caught eye contact with Giovanni and I begged him to change his mind.

"Giovanni! Please, I won't get in your way," I tried. I failed when he stared at me with his cold look. He seemed unfazed.

I felt tears roll down my face. I tried to get out of the persons grip. What had I trained for? All this training and nothing was coming to my mind to get out of this.

I knew I wasn't capable of being in a gang. I was foolish to think so. Giovanni was right to not want me in his gang. I was useless.

"No!" I screamed. "I will not let you kidnap me."

Suddenly he released me when he screamed in agony. I noticed a gun shut on his leg. It was so close to me.

"I didn't say we didn't need her," Giovanni snarked. The gun smoking in his hand from the heat of the bullet of the perfect shot.

I immediately got away from him and ran towards Derrick. He clutched me in a hug and I smacked his chest.

"I can't believe you just let me go, just like that," I sobbed. He looked down at me and back at Giovanni.

"I knew he would do the right thing," he told me.

He put my life in Giovanni's trust. He was hardly going to let me live.

I guess, he did save me. Maybe, he did care for me even just a little bit.

Today, I felt useless.

Everything I trained for left my mind. I was so bad under pressure it almost got me kidnapped again.

"Now, get your pathetic faces from out of my house before I kill all of you," Giovanni yelled. He rang a empty bullet through the house and they all scurried out of the front door.

"Grae told you to stay in the room, why don't you ever listen?" Giovanni snarled at me.

I ignored him, I looked around the house for Valeria.

"Where's Valeria?" I asked.

I suddenly didn't care about anything else. I needed to find Valeria. I wasn't going to allow her to get hurt.

I searched around the house, the rest of gang followed behind me, searching on their own. They all had sad expressions of my face. They were frantic to find out what had happened to her, as well.

"What happened? Where's Valeria?" I asked again.

"Valeria!" I called through out the house. Had something happen to her? "Valeria!"

My heart dropped when I saw Valeria lying on the ground beside the kitchen counter. She was looking pale and lifeless.

She was dead.
