jungkook waited, but the screen kept showing sent instead of read. he waited for a few more minutes, but it was still the same. maybe she was currently busy at her grandma's house in the morning.

being the understanding person he was, jungkook decided to place his phone back inside his coat and stood up from his seat. he grabbed the coffee he bought and left the shop. as he walked, he thought about what minju called him before.

maybe he would be the said title in a few years.

his priority was to confess again, and hopefully, this time minjee would answer him. he had been courting her for three and a half months now, and judging from the way she behaved around him made him think that she also felt the same way. it will make him happy if he gets to spend his new years with her by his side.

but then another thought came to mind. last night, when minju wanted to set him up, she said something about wanting her sister to date again? what did she mean by again? did she mean minjee has dated someone before?

"she's been single for years and i wanna see her dating again. i-i'm sorry, i shouldn't have said that," minju apologized, covering her mouth.

he remembered her words as clear as day. it's not like jungkook was mad or upset about it, he figured someone beautiful like minjee would have dated at least once in her life. but didn't she say that her first kiss was with him? or was he mistaken? he was curious to know whom she dated in the past.

a notification tone, followed by a short vibration from his left pocket was felt inside his coat so he pulled out his phone and checked the lockscreen.
