[3rd Person's Point of View]

"Hey hurry up! / They finally put up the results!" the students said while hurriedly running towards the board.

You were walking towards the board while sipping your canned-coffee. Three students with a red armband removed the white cloth to show the list of the students who passed.

It was divided into two, A and B. You saw your name in the B block. A familiar scent tickled your nose, so you looked around to see where it was coming from.

The scent was coming from Hayama, he was currently sniffing a cinnamon stick.

"I was wondering where that delicious smell is coming from." You said then Hayama looked at you surprised. "Heya Aki, Congratulations." you beamed.

"Hey (Nickname), you too." he muttered then smiled. "You're in B block." He said so you replied with a nod.

"You're with Kuro and Soma." you replied.

"Kuro and Soma?" Hayama asked shooting you a questioning look.

"Oh! Kuro and Soma are one of my friends. I guess you already know the transfer student Yukihira Soma?" you replied and he nodded. "Heh! The topic's going to be easy! You're going to laugh." you added.

"What do you mean?" Hayama asked so you shrugged while smiling.

"Oh! There's Soma! I have to congratulate them too." you answered while looking at the Polar Star "By the way I hope you haven't forgotten! I'll pick you up later!" you said then ran away while waving at him.

"You guys!!" you yelled to Polar Star members. They looked at me. Yuki was currently head butting Ryoko which made you laugh. Megumi just stood there nervously.

"Oi!" Soma yelled back while raising his left hand. "So, all four of you were selected too?" he asked. You nodded before hugging Megumi.

"Soma-kun. (Reader)-chan." Megumi greeted.

"Congratulations Megu-chan!" you said while rubbing your cheeks with her.

"Thank you! (Reader)-chan." Megumi said smiling.

"Good job guys!" Soma said.

"Hi Shun!" you said and waved at him.

"Hello." Ibusaki said while smiling. You noticed Takumi pointing his finger at Soma.

"It seems we'll get to face off even before we'll ever have a Shokugeki, Yukihira!" Takumi said grinning proudly but was ignored by Soma.

You laughed then Takumi looked at me. "Ohmygod Taku-chan that was embarrassing!" you said laughing until his face was flushed.

"Shut up (Reader)-chan. Don't laugh at me!" Takumi said which made you laugh more.

Soma turned to face Takumi. "Takumi! Good luck to you too." He said.

"D-D-Don't treat me like a sidekick!" Takumi said causing you and Isami to laugh. "Isami! (Reader)! Don't laugh!" he added.

"Alice!! Kuro!!" you yelled as they looked at you. You ran to Alice then she hugged you tight. She looked at the board while still hugging you.

"Well, of course." She said proudly. "We're in the same block!" Alice said so you smiled.

"Etto... Oh.. I'm on it too." Kurokiba said while pointing at his name on the board.

"Of course, you'd be! It'd be embarrassing if my close aide failed to be selected. Failure is not an option during the preliminaries." Alice said raising an index finger.

"I'll be fine. Even if I end up facing you, I'm invested enough to try to win." Kurokiba said which made you chuckle.

"I really admire Kuro's confidence!" you replied which made Alice sulk.

"Why're you upset?" Kurokiba asked so, you laughed again. Alice slapped Kuro's back while you stepped away laughing.

"What's with you? I don't think you have enough respect for me!"

"I'm always showing my respect." Kurokiba said nonchalantly.

"More!" Alice yelled then continued slapping Kurokiba's back. "You should show more respect! You should emulate Erina's secretary!" You stopped laughing when Soma greeted Alice.

"Oh, Hey! You're Nakiri's cousin!"

"Ara! Yukihira Soma-kun. How are you doing?" Alice asked still slapping Kurokiba's back.

"Minna-san!! Konnichiwa!" Urara yelled while waving. "I'm Kawashima Urara! I'll be your host at the Autumn Elections!" she said then turned around and "Kyapi!" she added winking which made the boys cheer for her name and the girls glare at her.

You sighed, "Frick I remembered myself being that cringe." you said which made Alice laugh and Kurokiba look at you.

"Oh! Yamaguchi-sama you're so handsome." Alice said so you slapped yourself.

"Gee Alice, I don't want to remember that." you cringed as Alice laughed again.

"My heartfelt congratulations to those of you who have been selected!" Urara said.

"As I'm sure you're already aware from the announcement, the sixty contestants are split into Group A and Group B."

"Each group will undergo he preliminaries separately. Only those who rank high within each group will advance to the actual tournament!"

"Let's see..." she said then took something out of her pocket. "I have a message from Eizan-senpai an ExCom member."

'Many VIPs and heavyweights of the food industry will attend the preliminaries. This is an optimal opportunity for you to demonstrate your talents.'

'However, should you have the misfortune of presenting an unworthy dish, you may lose any hope of pursuing a career in the food industry at that point.'

'Well, best of luck preparing for it over your summer break.' She said as she finished reading the note.

"That's all everyone!" She said then posed a peace sign.

You were sitting beside Alice while sipping your second can of coffee. "Nakiri's not going to be in the elections?" Soma asked.

"Right. The Autumn Elections are overseen by the Totsuki Elite Ten every year. So Erina will be running things on the other side of the table." Alice said and slapped Kurokiba's shoulder.

Kurokiba was sweat-dropping while you laughed at the two. "Oh well, I suppose it'll be a while before I can face off with Erina."

"Excuse me for a second." you said as they looked at you. "Oh! I have some bones to break." you replied and smiled.

You quietly approached Megumi who was panicking while Hojo was talking to the two guys.

"Anyone satisfied by mere grades wouldn't get selected in the first place!" She yelled then stomped on the ground.

So, you took this chance to get behind the guy students. Hojo moved her feet away from where she stepped.

"Ehh! Look at that deep footprint!" they exclaimed then Hojo glared at them. They tried to ran away but you caught them by their collars.

"Eek! It's Yamaguchi-san!!" they yelled in unison so you smirked.

"Where do you think you're going?" you dragged them by their hairs and looked for ropes. "How dare you bully my Megu?" you asked then tied them to a tree.

"We're sorry! Yamaguchi-san / Please let us go." they plead but you ignored them and (Im'ma leave it to your imagination). "Ack!! It hurts!! / P-please no more!"

You smiled then walked away. You went back to Alice and Kuro. "Ehe~ That was fun." you said then stretched your arms. Then they sweat-dropped.

"That was harsh." They said in unison which made you giggle.

"Oh! Isa-chan! We're in the same group!" you beamed then hugged him.

"Eh really?" Isami asked then smiled.

"Oh Taku-chan you're in the same group, right?" you asked and he replied with a nod. "I'm looking forward to beat you!" you said then smiled.

--- Date ---

You decided to wear a (preferred color) (outfit). You decided to (tie your hair / let down) You were waiting outside Jun's laboratory, then suddenly Hayama came out.

His usual ponytailed-hair was down, he was wearing a white long-sleeves paired with black pants and black sneakers. You smiled at him and he did the same.

"Wow~ Aki you look handsome." you complimented as Hayama smirked. You both went to ride the car your dad sent.

Both of you went to Starbucks as Hayama sniffed. "It smells like cinnamon." he commented.

"I went here with my mom then I thought of you when I smelled cinnamon." you said as Hayama chuckled.

You ordered 4 cinnamon bread and 2 (preferred flavor) frappe. You were sitting in front of Hayama then you took your phone out. He looked at you while sipping his drink.

You giggled and sat beside him. "Let's take a picture~" you said then placed the camera in front of us.

The first one was blurry, In the second picture Hayama wasn't smiling. "Gee Aki, can you hold this? Your arm is longer." you said frowning which made him laugh.

He then took your phone then both of you took selfies. You were browsing at the pictures and looked at one of it.

"This looks good!" you beamed.

Hayama smiled at you, "Send it to me too." Hayama said so you did.

After that you both went out of Starbucks, still drinking your frappe but then stopped at a shop.

"Yamaguchi-sama welcome back." the lady greeted me so you nodded.

"She knows you?" Hayama asked looking surprised.

"Ah the set I reserved is it done already?" you asked and the staff nodded.

"Is it for this boy, Yamaguchi-sama?" she asked looking at Hayama so you nodded. "Please wait a moment I'll get it." she said then exited.

"What is it that you reserved for me?" Hayama asked.

"My gift for you~" you said then suddenly a lady came back holding a red box. She gave it to Hayama then exited herself.

"Open it~" You said beaming at him. He nodded and let go of your hand smiling. He opened the box and (insert gifts)

"(Nickname) this is too much!" he said giving the box back to you.

"Nope~ you deserve it! You should wear that, alright?" you replied then Hayama nodded.

--- Outside Jun's Laboratory ---

"Thank you for today (Nickname)." Hayama said smiling. "I enjoyed it."

You smiled back, "Thank you too Aki!" You said.

"Go back to your dorm, it's already late." Hayama said worriedly. "Do you want me to take you there?" he asked so you shook your head.

"No need, you go inside first." you replied then he sighed but smiled again. Hayama turned his back to you but, "Hey Aki."

"Yeah?" Hayama asked looking at you again.

You leaned closer to him, "Thank you." you replied then kissed his cheek. After that he was frozen on the spot so you smirked and then went ahead to Polar Star Dorm.
