The Jenova Project was started and Angels began abducting people to experiment on them.

Jenova's cells were injected into the test subjects with the hopes of creating some sort of new living weapon.

Unfortunately none survived, until one day a pregnant woman was taken and while she did die like the rest, her unborn son did not.

When she died, she gave birth to you and you had been fused successfully with Jenova's cells.

Balder was pleased and dumped your mother's corpse and took you to be trained.

Your training was brutal and harsh as you learned to master your powers.

You were told your mother was Jenova and your purpose was to serve the Light and given the sword Masamune.

You became known as "The One-Winged Angel" due to Jenova's cells giving you a single black wing feathery wing.

Despite your incredible strength and powerful magic as well as your loyalty, you were anything but a true Angel and thus you were treated as more of a tool than an actual person.

As you continue to serve the Light you begin to desire more knowledge of your past and how you came to be.

That curiosity will eventually lead you discovering the truth of your creation and eventually you will betray the Angels and begin your quest to avenge your mother.
