Noah's POV:

It's been a week since I've been in here, a fucking week! I've already had to stake my claim by taking out the leader otherwise he would have no doubt made me his bitch. At first I was worried about that but all it took was one random punch in the nose for everyone to immediately fear me. It was something that my lawyer prepared me for, giving me tips about how to take over inside. He also gave me a list of guards who were on prisoners payroll.

This was the only way I was going to survive fifteen years in this hell hole, instead of my original ten. My stupid attempt at attacking Avery copped me another five years purely because I pissed the judge off according to Vince. This just angered me even more, I'd be 34 when I got out, to do what? Clean peoples toilets? I was finished. My football career was officially down the toilet and it was all thanks to Avery. She ruins my life and gets to live hers to the fullest, while not being held accountable for her actions.

I blinked when I heard a cracking sound, looking down I noticed I had cracked my plastic fork in half. I flicked the fork onto my tray of food as I let out a sigh before leaning back in my seat. I was in disbelief by how quickly my life turned in the last year and a half, it didn't feel that long ago when I had Avery in my arms.

There she was, wearing a black fitted skirt and a sequenced singlet. She took my breath away as she made her way through the crowded house. I kept a close eye and watched her as she gently tried to walk past people before stumbling when someone bumped her. I was about to go help her before she was steadied by her friend who wrapped her arms around her, both smiling at each other. In an instant I wanted to know her, I wanted to meet her. This girl had captured my attention.

I took one last gulp from my beer before placing it down on the table and slowly walking towards her. I almost laughed when I saw her friend's eyes widen at my presence, before gently slapping Avery's shoulder. I waited as Avery looked at her friend before turning around to face me. My heart skipped a beat the moment her hazel eyes looked into mine.

"Hi." I said, confidence evident in my voice.

"Uh-Hello." She stumbled as she responded to me.

"Avery? Right?" I asked.

She looked taken back by the fact that I knew her name. Didn't want her thinking I was some kind of stalker, so I laughed before adding, "Isaac is my best friend, your big brother."

"Ohhh!" She said as she chuckled nervously.

"Isaacs pretty awesome. Nice to meet you." She said as she raised her hand.

I looked between her eyes and her hand before raising mine to shake it gently, "Noah."

She had a slight hint of a smile on her face as she shook my hand, "I know exactly who you are."

I kept count for every pull up I did. Counting was the only way I could stay focused and not let my mind drift into my memories of Avery and me. The memories would only hurt me more than it did good, I couldn't afford to have these memories affect me now. I needed to stay focused. I needed to stay focused on the Avery she has become now, not the Avery I used to know, that Avery would only make me weaker in my mission.

"You got a visitor." The guard grumpily said as he unlocked my cell door.

"What? Why?" I asked.

"Do I look like I care enough to ask them that question?" He said as he made way for me to get out.

"Of course not." I mumbled miserably as I followed him.

I was hoping it wasn't my parents, I don't know if I could handle seeing my mum cry again. She would always start balling her eyes out the moment she saw me walk towards her, seeing her cry was the one thing I couldn't emotionally handle. Who would have thought? It made me want to hug her and take her pain away. When I looked up I stopped mid step, surprised to see her sitting there in front of me. Of all people who came to mind, she was not one of them.

'What the fuck?'

I took slow calculated steps towards her as she sat there patiently staring at me with a smirk.

"Hello, Noah."

She greeted with a calm voice as I got to the table.

"Crystal."

"How you been?" She asked.

I eyed her carefully as I slowly took a seat across from her, "Living the life." I responded sarcastically.

"How you been?" I asked.

"Missing you." She said as she smiled.

"Sounds like bullshit. What do you want?" I asked, I was becoming impatient with these games she would always play.

"Can't I visit an old friend? Fill him in on what's happening outside of this hole he's in?" She said as she smiled at me.

"You're right. I'm sorry." I said.

I didn't have the energy to argue with someone as irrelevant as Crystal. I watched as she leaned back in her chair and slip her hand into her pocket to pull out a photo, before slapping it down onto the table. My heart shattered into a million pieces when I saw three photos of Avery with Jaxon. The pain slowly turned into anger the longer I looked at him kissing her. I had almost blurred out the vision of them being affectionate with each other until now, being reminded by three seperate photos of them. It made me want to kill him, kill them both.

"Why are you showing me these!" I hissed through gritted teeth.

"To remind you of what she's done! Find your balls and give hell. Pay back is a bitch." She whispered as she leaned in.

"Why do you care?!" I snapped back.

"Because I care about you and I don't like how she treated you like shit. I warned you about her." She said as she leaned back in her chair, arms folded across her chest.

"Sounds like you're bitter because she won't give you the time of day." I said as I stared at her closely.

"I'm her fucking best friend! I should always be a priority."

"Correction... You were her best friend until you slept with her boyfriend." I said before smiling when it was clear that I had hit a nerve.

"You're an asshole, Noah....and to think I was going to help you out." She responded in anger.

I grabbed her hand as she got up to leave, "Okay, okay. I'm sorry. I'm just on edge."

I watched as she looked at my hand before looking at me, I was convinced she was going to leave and not help me but to my surprise, she sat down. She didn't look too happy with me but we both knew she would get over it.

"What do you need me to sneak in?" She asked.

The smile instantly grew on my face because I knew she was definitely going to help me get out of this shithole.

It's been three weeks since I saw Crystal, I was beyond mad that she's made me sit here for three fucking weeks. We are now mid week in October! I knew she was going to betray me. Fuck! Just thinking about being stuck in here always angered me. I let out a growl as I punched the wall, ignoring the blood that soon began to appear.

"Noah, visitor."

My head whipped around to stare at the guard who was now staring at my hand.

He let out a sigh as he shook his head, "We'll take you to the nurses room once your visitation hour is up."

"Uh-sure thing." I was at a loss for words because I was distracted by this visitor and who it could be. I prayed it was Crystal but I couldn't be sure. I let out a sigh before walking into the room, I couldn't help but smile as I saw Crystal sitting there fiddling with her fingers.

As soon as I got in reach I leaned down and placed my hands on top of hers, "Stop fidgeting, you look guilty as fuck."

"I'm sorry but I am guilty! I'm so scared." She whispered.

"Why? No one will ever know it's you. Stop stressing out. Did you get the stuff I need?"

She looked around before looking back at me, "I did."

"Ok great, stop looking around. Just look into my eyes and nowhere else." I reminded her, her nerves were going to get me another fifteen years in this place.

"How did you get them in? Did you see the guard I told you about?" I asked, out of curiosity.

She shook her head before letting out a nervous laugh, "yes, but lets not get into that conversation."

I let out a suppressed laugh when I got the hint before raising my hands up in defence to show her that I wasn't going to mention anything.

"I got you the pistol you wanted. It's actually really small, what good will it do?" She asked.

"It's extremely small so it's easy to hide but don't be fooled, it's actually got pretty strong powers." I said.

"Where is it?"

"Front pocket." She whispered.

I smiled before getting up, she looked at me confused before she saw me raise my arms up. She smiled as she got closer to my embrace and hugged me.

"Thank you for the help." I whispered as I slipped my hands into her front pocket.

Once I had secured the item I was ready to sit down but she still had her arms around my neck. I grabbed her hands slowly before pulling her away.

"Oh right. Sorry." She said as she laughed nervously.

"So, what do you plan to do?" She asked.

I casually looked around before directing my eyes to her, "I plan on finishing her. Let him suffer the way I have been."

"Why dont you just forget about her? She's not even that great. Move on Noah, she doesn't want you. There are other girls who can satisfy your needs." She said calmly as she smiled at me.

"Like you, right?" I asked, ignoring her question.

"Exactly like me. I can make you happy." She responded as she ran her fingers over my forearms.

I moved my arms as I leaned back into my chair, hoping to give a bit of distance, "She is the only one I want. I appreciate you helping but that's all I need you for. I don't need you for anything else."

"So you're just going to use me like this?! Maybe I should tell the guards what you have in your pocket." She said, anger evident in her voice.

"You do that, be sure to tell them how I got my hands on this." I said as I smirked at her.

"You're such a prick. You used me and gave me false hope." She said as she got up from her chair.

"Crystal, I never said we would be together. You assumed that when I asked you for this favour. See you on the other side babes." I said before getting up and walking back to my cell.

I walked past the guards in hopes they wouldn't frisk me, if they did I was good as dead. I had to suppress my smile when they didn't even batt an eye at my direction, who knew that pretending to be a well behaved prisoner would get me this far. I knew I had no chance of getting Avery back into my life. This time I had a better plan in place and I knew for a fact I was going to succeed in my mission. So this is what having nothing left to lose felt like, I felt completely unstoppable.  I was one step closer to getting my revenge on Avery and Jaxon.
