Noah's POV:

I couldn't look away from this photo of Avery and I, we had just celebrated our six months and we had never looked happier. Where did it all go wrong? It's like I blinked and she was gone. What did I have to do to win her back? The last photos I had were photocopied and mailed by my mum but out of anger I ended up cutting out Avery's face in every single photo. Luckily my lawyer destroyed the evidence before anyone could find out what I did.

Why couldn't she see how much I needed her? It's like she never cared about me at all. I'm the one who introduced her to the racing world, she would be nothing if it weren't for me! I'm the one who taught her how to race and this is how she repays me? By siding with Isaac and dating that dickhead, Jaxon. Jaxon, I couldn't get the image of him touching her out of my mind, the way he held her hands, the way he placed his hand on her thigh. He was touching what belonged to me. They were going to pay for everything they did to me, no doubt about that. I just needed to get out of here so that I could get my payback.

"You got visitors." The guard mumbled as he opened the cell door.

Letting out a groan I looked down at my photo which was now crunches up in my fist. I must not have realised that I was scrunching up the photo. Not that it mattered cause I was officially out of this hellhole.

"Who is it?" I asked.

The guard raised his eyebrow at me, ignoring my question which only made me want to punch him in the throat. I don't even know why I fucking bothered asking him. This place was driving me crazy and I couldn't wait to get out of here. The best thing in my life was my parents money, literally can get me out of anything. Always has, always will. It got me a great lawyer who managed to convince the idiotic court room that I was no harm to this shitty old town.

Technically, I'm no threat to them. The only person who should feel threatened is that asshole Jaxon. How dare he put his hands on Ava, I could have killed him in that court room when I saw him touching her. He's going to regret getting in my way, I didn't want to have to deal with him but he's really given me no choice. As I walked into the visitors lounge, I wanted to turn right back and go back to my cell. The last people I wanted to see were my parents and my lawyer. I didn't want to talk about the case, just once I wanted to talk about anything other than this stupid case.

"Hi, baby!" Mum said as she hugged me.

I rolled eyes just as she pulled me in for a hug but let out a groan when my dad slapped me on the back of my head.

"Show some respect, boy." Dad growled out.

"Hi mum." I grumpily responded before sitting back down.

"When am I getting out of here?" I asked.

"Its bail. Honey, there's paperwork we have to fill out. The hearing was only a few hours ago, at this stage it will probably be the weekend at most." mum said as she squeezed my hand.

"Their case isn't strong right? That's why I'm out on bail?" I asked.

I probably should have paid attention every time the lawyer blabbed on but that's what my parents were for. I don't care what is said, as long as I'm not stuck in this shit hole. My eyebrow raised in question when my parents looked at each other in worry. At that very moment I knew they were hiding something from me. They could never lie to me, mainly my mum who always made it obvious with her facial expressions.

"What is it?" I asked sternly.

"Nothing to worry about, son." Dad responded as he held mums hand.

"Bullshit. What is it?" I asked.

Dad looked at mum before nodding slightly.

"Avery, is pressing charges against you." Mum whispered.

"What the fuck for?!" I screamed out in anger.

"It's okay, guards. He just received startling news." Vince, my lawyer spoke up as two guards began to move towards us, luckily they accepted what was said to them and turned and walked back.

"Really, Noah? Sit your ass down now. You know exactly why! What moron carves their fucking name into someone's arm! She will be the reason why you go to prison!" Dad whispered angrily as he slammed his hand on the table.

"You have to stop her. Convince her not to press charges." I said as I looked at Vince.

I watched as he let out a sigh before shaking his head, "It's not that simple, there are rules."

"Fuck the rules!" I blurted out.

"Look, let me see what we can do to at least throw the car case out the window. With regards to Avery, we will have a proper meeting when you get out." Vince responded.

"Isaac." I said

"What about him?" Vince asked.

"He was there that night. Can't we somehow get him involved to lesson or throw the case out." I asked.

Vince looked between me and my parents before smiling, "I'll look over the footage and see what we can do. If he was on the scene, he's an accomplice."

"Could we somehow pin it on him?" I asked

Vince's smile widened as he lightly slapped my shoulder, "Leave it with me."

It was finally Saturday and I was finally outside of this hell. Now I was forced to stay in the confined space of my parents hotel room. I don't know what was worse, this or prison. I let out a sigh as I kept flicking through the channels trying to find something to watch. As I sat here, I couldn't help but wonder what Avery was doing. Where was she? Who was she with? What happened between us that it got so bad?

I groaned when I heard the front door move, they were home.

"Hi sweetie."

"Hi Mum."

My eyes followed their movement as they came to stand in front of me before sitting down on the couch. I knew there was a lecture coming, every child knows when there is one coming it's something in the way they look at you.

"We need to talk about Avery."

"Is she okay?" I asked as panic began to rise through me.

My parents looked at each other before looking back at me. Dad let out a sigh before speaking, "She is. You need to stay away from her."

"Why?"

"Because she's pressing charges on you! You may not be able to get out of this one Noah. I need you to understand how serious the situation is."

"I understand! I will not let her get away with this. The only reason Avery is pressing charges is because she has Jaxon and Isaac in her fucking head."

"Language." Dad warned. Making me roll my eyes.

My phone beeped, interrupting our conversation.

"I'm serious Noah. Leave the girl alone." Dad warned before walking away, Mum following a few seconds later.

I grabbed my phone but was confused by the sender. What the fuck did this asshole want.

Sat, July 16, 02:44PM
Henry: I need some stuff... ASAP. Do you have the hook up?

Sat, July 16, 02:45PM
Me: I always have the hook up. I'll see you in two hours.

I got up and grabbed my keys.

"Where do you think you're going?" Mum asked.

"I'm meeting up with Lennie. I promise, I'll be good and won't stay out late." I said as I tried to remain calm.

"Okay, sweet. Be safe."

Rolling my eyes I headed out and met up with Henry. I always hated this prick but he was good business. Avery could never know that I was supporting her mums habit, even when we were dating. It was good money and I couldn't resist. But, it also put me in a shitty position where he would use it as blackmail every time I tried to stop selling him drugs. Sometimes he made me so sick that I wanted to kill him, mainly because of some of the things he used to let slip when he spoke about Avery. One broken nose and he never spoke about her in such sexual terms. I wanted to make this meet up quick because I did not have the patience for him.

"Hey. I gotta make this quick. This is what I got." I said as I showed him what was available.

He smiled before choosing the second white powder. After exchanging produce for cash I was about to walk away.

"What do you need it for? It's a pretty large amount." I asked as curiosity got the best of me.

"I have a score to settle." Henry said, anger clearly in his tone.

"For what?" I asked.

"The less you know the better but Avery better not get in the way or I'm going to have to get physical with her." Henry said.

I took one step and I was nose to nose with Henry, "Listen to me very clearly. If you even breath in her direction, I will kill you." I whispered as I stared directly into Henry's eyes, not flinching for a second.

"Wake up and smell the roses. While you're defending her, she's too busy sleeping around with Jaxon." Henry said as he smiled cockily at me.

I clenched my jaw as he said those words, "Killing You is a waste of my time." I said as I pushed Henry out of my way before walking towards my car. I knew what I had to do, and I was going to make sure that they paid.
