"You're what?" Isaac asked.

"I'm going to press charges. Add my charges on top of Bianca's charge." I stated with confidence.

Isaac turned away from the stove to face me as I sat calmly at the dining table. He was in the middle of making breakfast until I walked in a few minutes ago to break the news to him. A part of me assumed he would be happy about me pressing charges, now here he stood with a look mixed with shock and fear.

I watched in amusement as he began to pace in front of me, "You can't do that. I won't let you get dragged through court. I'll tell the cops of my involvement that night if it means you don't have to press charges."

"I won't let you do that. They will charge you for being an accomplice and then what have we achieved? Besides, it's too late." I responded calmly.

"What do you mean it's too late?" Isaac asked, hands on hips.

"I called Watson and my dad on Wednesday after the hearing to let them know I was pressing charges."

Isaac let out a groan as he finished making the scrambled eggs to place them on the dining table. He fell silent after this exchange, making me believe there was more to his concern than what he was leading me to believe. He should be happy that I was putting my fears aside to try and put Noah in prison for his crimes. I watched as he placed everything on the table ready for our Saturday breakfast before he sat down in a huff.

"I just feel guilty for making you go through the courts." He sighed out.

His eyes widened for a few seconds before smiling, "I'll pay for your lawyer at least. Let me do that." He added.

"No. You know what you can do for me?" I said as I smiled lightly at him.

"What?" He asked grumpily.

"Make friends with Jaxon." I said before getting up to make us coffee.

Isaac let out a groan before placing his head onto the table with a thud, "He doesn't want a bar of me, Avery."

"He just needed a few days. It was a lot of information you hit him with. Don't let the bromance die!" I mocked as I smiled at him.

He shook his head as he chuckled lightly before nodding in agreement with me. Grabbing our coffees and Alena's juice I went back to sit next to him. As if on cue, Alena skips cheerfully into the dining room before sitting next to us.

"Morning!" She greats us in a cheerful tone before starting to eat breakfast.

Shaking my head lightly I let out a chuckle, "Morning Aly-Cat."

Sat, July 09, 10:25 AM
Jaxon: I've got a tag team race tonight. Come support me?

Looking down at my phone my eyes then moved towards Isaac. Isaac creased his eyebrows slightly at me but realisation sunk in when I showed him the message I had received.

"Avery. Can I sleep over at dads tonight? Please! We go back to school on Monday." Alena mumbled, mouthful of food.

I looked over at Isaac once again who nodded slightly before unlocking his phone to start messaging.

"Sure can, kiddo." I said as I smiled at her.

My eyebrows creased in confusion at the sound of the doorbell ringing knowing that we rarely got visitors, so I got up to answer the door. My confusion increased even more as I saw a man who looked to be in his early thirties, standing in front of me with a well cut suit and holding a briefcase.

"Can I help you?" I asked, confusion evident in my tone.

"Avery Winters?" He asked, smiling lightly at me.

"Who wants to know?" I asked, crossing my hands across my chest.

"My name is Oliver Peters. I'm your dad's lawyer." He said, grabbing his business card out from his jacket to hand it to me.

"You got the wrong house, he lives off Regent street down that way." I said as I pointed to the direction of my dad's house.

"I'm actually here to see you. Your dad should be here any minute." Oliver calmly responded as he looked down at his watch.

I creased my eyes slightly as I looked him over before opening the door further for him to enter. After thanking me he walked in to the dining table as I had raised my arm to that direction. As we both sat down Isaac's stance immediately tensed as he looked Oliver over. As if on queue, the doorbell rang only Isaac was quicker to answer the door. In walked my dad all suited up and ready for business. After greeting each other he sat next to me, across the lawyer. Isaac took his place next to the lawyer as he looked directly into my eyes, asking me a million questions with them.

"Who do you work for Oliver?" I asked.

"I have my own firm." He responded as he took the coffee cup off Isaac who was kind enough to get up and make them for everyone.

"I know for a fact that I can't afford you so what is he doing here, Dad?" I asked.

"I refuse to let you be represented by some shit law student who has no idea what they are doing. You're going to use my lawyer and you don't need to worry about what he charges per hour." Dad stated with confidence.

"Dad, I can't-"

"Please. Let me do this. Oliver is our best chance at winning. He knows how to get dirt on people." Dad begged.

I let out a sigh before nodding lightly. Dad squeezed my hand gently before smiling.

"Perfect. Well, I have already been in contact with Detective Watson to collate the evidence they have so that we can work together. I'll dig for further dirt on Noah regarding this car incident and both attempts he's taken at harming you." Oliver stated with confidence as he opened his briefcase.

I felt confident all of a sudden as we planned our attack. I felt unstoppable and was ready to take Noah down.

We had spent an hour or so with my dad and Oliver. When Dad was leaving we took that opportunity to make him take Alena with him, he was more than happy to have Alena sleep over but wondered why I wasn't joining. Isaac helped come up with an elaborate lie regarding the rental and how we had to go to the real estate agent today, my dad seemed to believe it as he didn't press it further.

It was like clock work, as soon as my dad went, Isaac went to check on the bike and call Dave and I went to get ready. I was hoping we could squeeze a race in but being this late, I don't know how confident we had it. With my wig in hand I went downstairs to meet Isaac in the lounge room.

"He's got us on the wait list. So, if someone cancels, we are in but he said that if we don't race tonight we'll definitely have a spot next week." Isaac said out in a sigh.

I groaned at the idea of us bringing the bike along for a potential race. Nothing was worse than bringing it and then finding out you weren't racing. Shrugging my shoulders we got our stuff and made our way to the races. I sent a quick message to Drew and Jaxon to let them know we were on our way. Isaac's phone beeped the moment we got into the car, I waited as he read it and then replied seconds later.

"Dave's got us a race."

"What happened to you racing?" Drew asked as he sat next to us.

I let out a slight growl of annoyance, "Bastard cancelled when he found out it was me he was racing."

Drew let out a loud chuckle before his smile faded, "Are you serious?"

"Dead set." Isaac added.

Drew looked at me for a few seconds before laughing louder. I couldn't help but smile as I shook my head at the situation. Nothing was more annoying than loading up a bike and not using it at the end of the night. However, at least Jaxon had a race so I had front row seats and was ready to cheer my boyfriend on. I smiled as I saw Jaxon pace towards me but the smile faded when I saw the look of panic on his face as he jogged towards us.

"What's wrong?" Drew asked.

"Ethan! He was supposed to race with me in this tag team but he's got a busted tire and is fifteen minutes away."

"So, what's the issue?" Isaac asked

Jaxon eyed Isaac out for a second before focusing on me, "Race is in two minutes."

I looked around as I felt everyone's eyes on me, everyone from Drew, Isaac, Jaxon and the other guys who were here to support Jaxon. I knew where this was heading but I had no intention of agreeing, it was different when it was just yourself because only you were to blame if you lost.

"No way-"

"Please A-Barbie. I need you." Jaxon begged.

"I've never done a tag race, I'll only be the reason why you lose. I don't want to be a burden." I stressed out.

"It's really easy. I promise. You race the first half until you cross the red line, then I take over." He begged.

"Why can't Drew or Isaac join you?" I asked.

"I'm the gambler" Isaac said

"I'm the cheerleader" Drew added

"I really need to beat these assholes." He whispered.

"Who are you racing?" Isaac asked

"I'm racing Chris and Anabelle." He responded. My eyes met with Jaxon when he said those names.

"They are the ones we had the issue with last time." He said to Drew and Isaac. My head tilted to look behind Jaxon and the only thing I saw was Chris smirking in our direction, instantly boiling my blood.

"Count me in." I said.

Getting ready was a race in itself, Isaac ran to collect the bike while I ran to Dave to sign up for the tag race.

Anabelle let out a growl when she saw me, "This is bullshit, Dave. They have to forfeit the race."

"Why so afraid, Ana?" Dave asked.

"The race goes on." He added

Jaxon and I stood tall and practically nose to nose with Chris and Anabelle.

"Ready for some fun, Barbie." Chris asked, winking at me.

Jaxon lightly slapped Chris' cheek forcing him to look at him, "Eyes on me fuckface." Jaxon whispered angrily.

"Scared I might steal your girl?" Chris asked as he got nose to nose with him.

"Okay. Let's calm down. Boys, go to your marks." Dave responded in panic.

Ignoring Anabelle I jumped on my bike as she tried to throw shade my way. I needed to stay focus for this race. I've never wanted to win as bad as I did right now.

I began to warm the engine as I watched the timer count down, taking off as soon as it hit zero. I was merely a second in front of her, leading most of the way. I looked to my right to see her next to me. I saw her look at my tire and it's like my gut feeling knew what she was going to. I hit the brakes as she turned hard left trying to hit me, only to lose control of her bike. I took this opportunity to speed up and race past her. I started to flash my lights when I saw that I was getting closer to Jaxon. As soon as I crossed the line he was off, I skidded to a stop and looked at Chris who was now giving me death stares.

"Thanks for a good time, big boy." I said before taking off. Anabelle appearing shortly after.

"Fucking bitch." I heard Chris mumble as I did a u-turn to ride back to the beginning. I didn't want to get my hopes up because Chris still had a chance at catching up, but I hope I did my best.

By the time I got back I saw everyone cheering and huddled in a circle, I couldn't see who had won. After parking my bike I got off and slowly began to walk towards them, the closer I got the harder my heart was beating.

My smile widened when I saw Jaxon break through the crowd as he looked around, looking for me until our eyes met. I wanted so bad to run and jump on him and celebrate together. I didn't want to hide who I was anymore. I loved this part of my life and was done hiding from Noah. I smiled as I took my beanie and face mask off placing them inside my helmet. Jaxon's smile dropped when he saw what I had done but smiled again when I started to walk towards him. I saw him let out a chuckle as he pushed passed everyone to get to me. I felt excited about embracing this side of my life again, I felt like it was long overdue. With that thought in mind, I picked up the pace and began to run towards Jaxon. My smile widened when he opened his arms to catch me. Without hesitation I jumped into his arms and wrapping my arms around his neck, before planting a kiss on his lips. I couldn't help but chuckle against his lips when I heard the crowd cheer in excitement and shock.

"Dude! What the hell! Did you forget about your girlfriend!" Lucas screamed out as he separated us, making me chuckle a little.

"Good to know you have my back, Lukey." I said in between my chuckle.

"Avery?! You're Barbie?!" Lucas asked, shock evident in his tone.

"The one and only." I responded.
