Lola sat in the room alone just waiting for someone to come in and tell her something. Her eyes wandered, but there was nothing to look at in the stark, plain room. After being arrested they transferred her to Las Vegas, Nevada where the charges were initially made. Now she was just waiting on her lawyer.

Lola put her elbows onto the table then put her hands on her face. Finally the door opened and in walked the detectives. "I seriously don't understand why I'm in here. You have nothing to prove these charges to be true," she says sitting up straight. "I guess we will find that out when we go to court." Lola scoffs then says, "I doubt it will even go that far." "You'll be surprised," the short and fat detective states as he sits across from her.

Lola was arrested for conspiracy, fraud, money laundering, pandering, sex trafficking, trafficking of minors and kidnapping minors. Basically, every charge Rico got, Lola got too. She hadn't been officially charged yet, but she was arrested on probable cause. And it was all Romeo's fault. He convinced whoever he had to that Lola knew about everything Rhyme was doing and that she helped him do it. Romeo did this all because Lola was ignoring his calls and texts once she got to California. All because she didn't want to be with him breaking the promise she once made him.

Lola thought long and hard on it and she just couldn't see herself with him. Rhyme wasn't the only person to blame for all that has happened. Romeo was to blame too. Lola just couldn't believe Romeo would stoop so low as to lie on her when he knows she knew nothing that Rhyme was doing. She only knew what Rhyme let her know and that wasn't much.

"Where is your lawyer? We're tired of waiting," one of the detectives said smacking on his gum. "She's coming," Lola said as she fiddled with her fingers. Looking at her nails she desperately needed a fill-in, but she wouldn't be getting that anytime soon. They all sat in silence when a man came into the room saying, "Her lawyer is here." "Finally," the more rude one of the two detectives said getting up from the table.

Half a minute later the door opened. Instead of it being the detectives it was Lola's lawyer. Her lawyer cleared her throat making Lola raise her head. Her eyes scanned up the woman who was wearing black Louboutin's, a knee length black and fitted dress with a briefcase in her hand. When Lola's eyes landed on her face they both smiled. Lola jumped to her feet hugging her sister, Sarita. "What are you doing here?" She asked as they still hugged.

Lola stepped back touching her sister's perfectly loosely curled hair. It felt like she hadn't seen her sister in forever. "Selah called me. I'll be representing you." Lola furrowed her brows saying, "It's barely been two years. There's no way you can possibly be a lawyer already." Sarita smiled saying, "I am today."

Sarita asked Lola to disappear and Lola made it happen. Sarita had been in Cambridge, Massachusetts attending Harvard all this time. Faking your death is illegal, but it isn't when you don't take certain steps. It wasn't like she changed her name or took extra steps to not be found. She just wanted to leave Rhyme's house without any questions being asked. Sarita went to her big sister and Lola made the plan happen. Not only did she get to leave, but she made Marquise and Rhyme feel bad about what they did in the process. Sarita had no intentions of coming out of hiding and coming back to Las Vegas this soon, but when she heard her big sister was in trouble she had to come to her rescue. Sarita knew Lola would do it for her, so would do the same.

"I'm not understanding..." Lola says as they both take a seat. Sarita leaned in to her sister then in a low tone says, "Technically, I'm not a lawyer yet. I still have a semester left and I have to take the bar exam, but if I know the legal system like I do, this won't go to trial until I'm done. They'll never know." Not only did Sarita get her bachelors degree in less than 4 years, but she was also set to finish law school in less than the 3 years expected. Lola shakes her head saying, "No. You can go to jail for this, Sarita. I'll just find another lawyer." Sarita bites on her bottom lip saying, "I got this, Lola. I owe you. You're not going to jail on my watch."

It gets quiet and that's when Lola asks, "Was that you in that video the day Marquise killed himself?" When Sarita slightly smiled Lola got the answer she wanted. "I don't know what you're talking about," she finally said. "The ghost of Sarita has finally risen," she said next laughing a little. "You really had Rhyme spooked and clearly Marquise." Sarita just shrugged. Marquise wasn't remorseful for what he did, so he had to pay.

Lola looks at her sister prepared to argue again about her not representing her, but the door opens. The two detectives walk in and Sarita stands to her feet extending her hand saying, "Semira Mikael." Lola arches her brow wondering why she used her real name. She was wondering where Sarita was going with this, but she trusted her little sister. The two detectives shook her hand then they took a seat. "I hope you being here means your client is ready to talk now." "Depends on what you wanna know," Sarita says with a slight smirk. "Lola isn't saying anything until she's formally charged with something."

"Your wish has been granted," one of the detectives said as he slid a piece of paper across the table. Sarita picked it up looking it over as he said, "Thanks to some people coming forward we have enough evidence to take this to court. You'll see the judge tomorrow to see whether or not you get bail and how much." Both of the detectives stood up with a smile on their face then left the room.

Lola immediately turned to her sister saying, "What now?" Sarita rubbed her forehead saying, "We just have to prove you didn't know about any of this. We have to prove your marriage was fake and he was lying about that among other things. Don't worry, I got this. I know better than anybody what you went through because of Rhyme. You just have to trust me." Sarita breathed out then hugged Lola. This was going to be a long road to hopefully freedom...

Meanwhile...

Royalty hummed to herself while fixing herself breakfast. She turned the stove off then grabbed the skillet moving the eggs onto her plate. As she put the skillet and spatula into the sink she went from humming to singing the words in a low volume. Soon she was getting carried away singing as loud as she could while rinsing her dishes. That is until she heard a throat clear. Royalty looked up seeing Javonne standing next to the wall leaned against it. The first thing Royalty did was touch her head with a bonnet still on it with a look of embarrassment. She was still in her pajamas.

"Um, hey," she finally said. "Good morning. What are you doing?" he asks walking towards the living room. "Making breakfast. Uh, you want anything?" She asked as she looked at Javonne who sat on the couch. "Ate already," he said not looking at Royalty, but his phone instead. Since Royalty had been here she hadn't seen much of him. By the time she wakes up he's already gone and by the time he comes home she's already asleep. Javonne spent most of his time at the studio or in meetings. That's why Royalty was surprised to see him here.

"Oh. What are you doing here?" Royalty asks as she pours herself a glass of orange juice to go with her food. She had fixed herself eggs, Malt-o-meal, sausage and toast. Javonne furrowed his brows saying, "It's my mother's house. I can't be here?" Royalty paused realizing that had come out more rude than she had intended. It was her tone of voice. "I didn't mean it like that. It's just you're usually not here." She picked up her plate and glass then went to the dining room table.

"Well, I do have to make money to pay my bills. Speaking of bills I need to go over to my place out here and you have to come with me. So after you're done eating get dressed." Royalty glanced over at him. Once she finished chewing she said, "Why do I need to come?" Javonne stood up saying, "Because that's where you'll be staying. My mother said you could only stay here a week. Your week is up, so now you have to come stay with me."

"N-no, I don't think that's a good idea. I'm not really comfortable with that." Royalty learned her lesson. It took her awhile, but she finally did. Javonne looked at her saying, "And where else do you intend on going? Look, I get it. Your trust is probably all types of fucked up, especially with men. One thing you can trust is that I won't harm you in anyway. As you can see, I'm barely home and the same goes for my actual place of residence. You'll practically be there alone most of the time."

Royalty sighs saying, "Fine." In the back of her head all she can think about is the deal they made. If she acts difficult he won't work with her when it comes to music. "Alright. Oh and you have a nice voice," he says nonchalantly walking down the hall. Royalty smiles to herself then does a little dance before going back to eating.

...

An hour later, Royalty is dressed and ready to go. She's wearing the very conservative clothes Javonne's mother had picked out for her. It was better than the scantily clad clothing Royalty was wearing when they met her, but she looked like an old lady. She looked nowhere near her real age of 17. Somewhere in between being high and selling ass she realized it was almost time for another birthday. Where was the time going? Soon she would be 18 and she wasn't excited at all.

When Javonne pulled into a reserved parking spot with his name on it he said, "We're here." Royalty unbuckled the seat belt then got out of the car. She looked around the parking garage while holding her purse in her hand. She followed Javonne and got on the elevator. She watched as he pushed the 'P' button then the doors closed. "What does P mean?" Royalty asked as the elevator started to go up.

"Penthouse," Javonne says looking down at his phone. Royalty just nods her head even though she was a little shocked. He was always on his phone looking at something or typing away. If he wasn't looking at the screen he was talking on the phone to someone. They seemed to be business talks, but Royalty couldn't have a conversation with him even if she wanted to. When the elevator came to a stop the doors opened. She followed behind Javonne as they walked down a hallway.

At the end of it, it opened up to a room that made Royalty look in awe...

"Welcome, to my home. I guess I could say our since you'll be staying here. This is the sitting area and the bar. That's the kitchen and dining room," he said pointing to the left as Royalty turned her head to look.

"I have a cook named Norman who's not here right now since I was staying at my mother's. He should be back tomorrow. Come with me upstairs." Royalty looked up at the ceiling somehow doing a 360 degree turn while walking. She was just looking at everything in amazement, even nearly tripping on her feet too busy staring. She caught herself then rushed to catch up to Javonne who was already climbing the glass staircase. She knew this would be dangerous for someone as clumsy as her.

When they reached the top they were in another room. "Another bar and sitting area," he said walking through it.

"There's 3 bedrooms aside from mine and 6 bathrooms. Two downstairs and 3 up, not including my bathroom. That's my room, but you won't be in there," Javonne said as they walked down the hallway. Royalty being nosy, she couldn't help but peek into the room..

Finally they got down the hall and entered a room. Javonne flicked the lights on then said, "This will be your room. "Wow," Royalty said as she stepped inside. "The door on the right is the bathroom and the other door is the walk-in closet. I guess we'll have to go shopping to get you some clothes to go in there," he said as Royalty was still looking around the room..

Javonne just looked at Royalty as she traced her hand along the fur throw cover. He cleared his throat a little saying, "I hope you like it." She turned to Javonne saying, "I love it. You have a nice place. Thank you for letting me stay with you." Royalty smiled and so did Javonne. "As long as you're helping yourself, I'm willing to help too. Well, I'm gonna go take a nap. I was at the studio all night. Help yourself to anything. TV, the kitchen or even the pool on the rooftop. When I wake up we'll go shopping for those clothes."

Royalty nodded her head as Javonne turned on his heels to leave the room. "Wait, Javonne!" Royalty said getting his attention again. He stopped then turned around looking at Royalty. Before he knew it Royalty had wrapped her arm around him tightly. He let a laugh out then hugged her back. Royalty had her eyes shut tight with her head on his chest. "You seriously didn't have to do this. It means a lot."

Javonne patted her back as they pulled apart. "I said it's no problem." Royalty gave a quick smile as they looked at each other. "Well, goodnight. I mean, good morning? Have a good nap," Royalty said as Javonne chuckled then said, "I'll try." He left the room, so Royalty closed the door behind him. She went over to the bed flying back onto it then grabbed a pillow putting it over her face. She was just glad she wasn't standing on a street just to make money anymore.

...

A couple of hours had past and Javonne and Royalty had now left the house. Royalty sat passenger side in Javonne's Ferrari while he pumped gas into it. All Royalty knew was that Javonne was rich off the music industry and she wanted in now.

Royalty hummed to herself as she typed a text message to Gwen. In the message she was thanking Gwen for the advice and said whenever she gets back on her feet she'll come and get her. Little did she know, Gwen was laying somewhere in an alleyway after Sweet pretty much beat her to death. He knew Gwen was the one who told her to run, so he let her have it.

Finally the butterfly door to the drivers side opened and Javonne got back in. Used to not talking to him at this point Royalty continued to hum as she typed up the long message to Gwen. "What's that your always humming?" Javonne asked Royalty as he pulled off. She looked up saying, "Oh, um, it's a song a friend wrote." Friend was code word for Tyree. He was more than a friend at a point, but now he's nothing in Royalty's book.

"A friend? Well, it sounds good." Royalty shrugged her shoulders saying, "It's okay. He wrote it for me and gave me the song. He said it's mine, but I'm not ready to sing it." Javonne looks over at her asking, "And why not?" Royalty looks at her hands that are cupping her phone saying, "Too personal."

"Understandable. Well, would you sing a song if I write it for you?" Royalty looks over at Javonne lighting up in a smile. "Would I? Of course I would!" Javonne laughs inwardly then says, "Good, BUT-" Royalty frowns at the word but as he continues. "-You have to take voice lessons before you even step foot in a studio to record." "That's no problem. I'll do anything you need me to."

"Alright," Javonne says as he pulls into a parking spot a couple of minutes later. "I'll call my vocal coach, Jan. She's one of the best. Then when you're ready we'll start recording. I need you to understand something...A hit just doesn't come to you over night. You have to put in the work. Not only does my writing and production have to be on point, but your voice and your dedication. The effort has got to be there. Understood?" Royalty nodded her head as he said, "Okay. We're here, so let's go."

"Um, how do you open this door?" Royalty asked looking at it confused. Javonne laughed then said, "I'll get it." He gets out of the drivers side then comes aorund opening the door for Royalty. He extends his hand, so she takes it then gets out of the car. As they walk through the parking lot Royalty looks up at the store that says Neiman Marcus. "We're going in there?" she asks.

"Yeah, is that a problem?" He asks back. "I mean, no, but Forever 21 would be just fine. I don't need expensive clothes." Javonne laughs a little then says, "Forever 21? How old are you again?" Royalty wonders if she's truthful about her age will it change his mind about a lot of things. Finally she just admits, "17. " Javonne glances over at her. He assumed at the least she was 18 because she looked a little older. "How old are you?" Royalty asks to change the topic. "20."

"Wow. It's cool to see someone so young, so successful." Javonne looks at Royalty who's walking in front of him slightly smiling. When they walk into the store Javonne says, "Get what you want." Royalty turns to him in shock saying, "Really? No, it's better if you give me a budget." "Budget? Naw, go crazy if you want." That's all Royalty had to hear before rushing off to the shoe section.

Javonne laughed inwardly as he watched her. Royalty pointed at a pair of shoes while looking at Javonne from across the store. Royalty couldn't help but think she had the best luck a human
