As movers took boxes out of the house Karina ran down the stairs behind them. "No, no, no, no, no!" Karina yelled quickly jogging up to one of the men. "What are you doing? That's mine." One of the movers kept walking not saying anything. When another came down with a box she tried to grab it from him, "Lady, let go! We're just doing what we're instructed." "When I instruct myself to whoop yo ass, how will that feel?!" Karina said trying to jerk the box away.

"Let go of the box," someone said making Karina look up. When she saw Rhyme at the top of the staircase she narrowed her eyes at him. "Why are they moving my stuff out?" She asked looking in confusion. Rhyme came down the stairs saying, "You're out, boo. I have no more use for you. You can keep everything I bought you, but you gotta go. I'm a one woman man now."

Karina looked around in confusion not knowing what to do. "No! You can't do this!" She yelled running up to Rhyme hitting him in the chest repeatedly. Rhyme grabbed both of her wrist saying, "Keep ya hands to yourself, ma. And I can, it's my house. Make this easy on yourself and leave quietly." Karina yanked her wrists from his grasp yelling, "No! Where am I supposed to go?" She was on the verge of tears at this point.

Rhyme shrugged not giving a fuck. "Don't know, don't care. There's an uber outside that will take you anywhere you like." When Karina dropped to her knees putting her hands together begging Rhyme sighed. He helped her back up saying, "Begging is never cute. You begged for the dick, now you're begging to stay. Let's go," he said motioning her towards the door. She was putting up a fight so he finally just picked her up. She tried holding onto the door but he got her out.

"Also, you're fired. We've had too many complaints about an odor down there. Might wanna get that checked out." At that Rhyme shut the door and locked it. Karina looked at her boxes loaded up in a U-haul wiping her tears. He kicked her out barefoot and all. She pulled her phone out of her pocket dialing her cousins number. Romeo was going to hear about this and handle it too. And to think Karina was falling in love with a man who could treat her like this. She should've known it would never be mutual.

Rhyme shook his head as he walked down the hall to his home office. He sat at his desk sighing as he sunk into the leather office chair relieved it was the weekend and he was off. He laid his head back closing his eyes as Marquise walked around the large house looking for him. When Lola walked into the front door with shopping bags Marquise grabbed a couple of bags to help asking, "Do you know my Dad's whereabouts?"

Lola furrowed her eyebrows looking at Marquise. From her facial expression he realized he had just slipped up. Lola didn't know if Marquise was just never told what happened to his"Dad" so she said, "You know your Dad's dead right? He died in prison some years back." Marquise waved his hand saying, "Psh! I knew that. Sometimes it slips my mind because he walks in spirit with me everyday." Marquise lied putting his hand over his chest shaking his head as if hurt.

Lola stared Marquise down putting a hand on her hip. "You're not really Rico's brother are you?" Lola raised her brow as Marquise stuttered trying to find his words. "Rhymee!" He yelled trying to rush off but Lola grabbed his arm. "Who are you to Rico?" When Marquise didn't say anything she squeezed his arm tighter. Marquise had a whole foot over Lola but she was a strong and fearful woman. "Technically I could be his brother. It's a funny story actually-"

When Marquise fake laughed Lola pinched his arm. "Ow! Alright, I'm his son." Lola dropped Marquise's arm in disbelief saying, "Son?" He nodded his head as Lola stormed off down the hall. Without knocking she burst into Rhyme's office. He scrunched his brows pulling the phone, that he was doing a business call on, from his ear. "What-" Lola didn't care. She snatched the phone from Rhyme's hand slamming it down.

"You wanna tell me why the fuck you didn't tell me Marquise was your son?" Rhyme sighed sitting back in his office chair. "How do you know that?" He asked casually. "He slipped up. Answer my question! How is that even possible? He's like 18." "Yeah I know," he said nonchalantly. "How?!" Lola asked in frustration. "I don't like talking about it, aiight. I don't consider him my son any fucking way. I was just being nice by giving him a place to stay."

Lola looked at Rhyme as he played with a Rubik's cube not wanting to look at her in the eyes. Lola softened a bit sensing something was wrong with him. "You know you can tell me stuff, right?" She asked sitting across from him. "You don't tell me stuff." "I do tell you stuff!" Lola said in defense. "Like what? If you must know, my Daddy pimped me and Romeo out like some hoes to the pedophile bitches. That's how Marquise came about."

"Damn, I'm sorry. I didn't know." This would've been the perfect time for Lola to tell any of her deepest, darkest secrets but she kept her mouth shut. "Don't be sorry for me. I got over it a long time ago. We needed money and it got us just that. I do need to talk to you about Royalty. About what happened." Lola was just hoping he would've just let it go, but I guess not.

"Honestly, you're lucky she didn't kill the man. She's even luckier I took the blame for it, but that would've never happened if she was of-age. She's gotta go, Lola." Lola immediately shook her head. "No, she signed a contract. You can't breach it, like you said. She leaves when she has $10,000 and nothing less. Just make her stop having sex with clients. It's that simple." Rhyme groaned saying, "You know how much longer it'll take her to get the money?"

"I don't care. Have her strictly on number one through three's and she can work at the front desk as well." Rhyme smacked his lips not wanting to give in, but saying, "Alright, fine. Only because I love you though." Lola smiled saying, "You've been saying that L word a lot lately." Rhyme shrugged saying, "Because I mean it." Lola twisted her lip up pushing out a smile. She pushed the chair back standing up saying, "Welp, let me go talk to Royalty."

Lola leaned across the desk kissing Rhyme then wiping the lipstick from his lips before exiting his office. As she walked down the hall she slid her phone from the back pocket of her jeans dialing Saniye's number. When she finally answered Lola said, "It's off." "Huh?" Saniye asked not understanding. "The plan is off. Tell Dareon." Lola didn't wait for her sister Saniye to oppose before hanging up on her.

Saniye looked at her phone in disbelief as Dareon came into the room asking, "What's wrong?" Saniye put her phone down saying, "Lola just called me saying the plan is off." Dareon furrowed his brows asking, "Why?" She shrugged saying, "She hung up before I got the chance to ask."

"Maybe she's right," Dareon said causing Saniye to whip her neck in his direction looking at him sideways. Dareon held his hands up in defense from her glaring saying, "I just think it'll cause a lot of unwanted problems. Added problems we don't need. It's not like we're pressed for money right now. Now, I don't know if she told Romeo to leave it alone because he seems to be on a mission to get back at Rhyme. Leave that to him. We should just stay out of it."

"So, you're bitching out? Just admit you're scared of Rhyme," Saniye said crossing her arms over her chest. "I've told you to watch your mouth when it comes to me, Ny." Saniye rolled her eyes as Dareon pointed his finger at her. "Nobody is scared of anybody. Because Rhyme goes around stealing and being a greedy person, we should too? You see how Rhyme is...Doing this will only turn me into him. Do you want that? Money and revenge isn't everything."

"You're gonna chill out when it comes to that bitch and pussy word when it comes to me," Dareon continued as a mumble. "You're right," Saniye said causing Dareon to look at her. "Every time you say I'm right I feel like the world had to have stopped." They both laughed as Saniye sat on his lap. "I don't want you to be Rhyme. I want you to be better than him. I still think he needs to be taught a lesson, but it wasn't my money he stole. If you're not mad then I shouldn't be either."

Dareon nodded his head saying, "I'ma get mine somehow, someway, someday and so will Rhyme. That's my brother, but karma is a bitch. He who wants everything every time will lose everything every time. You don't hear me though! Let me say it again...He-" Saniye laughed saying, "I heard you the first time, Pastor Bang." She kissed Dareon then squealed when he stood up throwing her over his shoulder.

Sarita held her hand steady putting her hand closer and closer to her eye putting the false eyelash to it. When she got it positioned she picked up the other one putting glue on it. She waved it in the air for it to dry faster. When she heard, "Hey sis!" She jumped dropping it from her fingers. She looked to see her older sister, Lola in the doorway of her bathroom. "Did you have to sneak up like that? You made me drop my lash," Sarita said looking for it on the floor.

"Excuse me! Where are you going?" Lola asked looking at her sister up and down. "Out," Sarita  said giving her sister the smart ass answer. "With who?" Sarita rolled her eyes saying, "Why do you care? Don't you have Royalty to be tending to or something?" Lola shook her head figuring she was jealous of Royalty since that night she was talking crazy to her and got snatched up. It was like when their little sister was born all over again. Sarita was used to being the baby until their little sister was born. Once again Sarita got used to being the baby when they left Ethiopia without their much younger sister.

"Your so spoiled. You can't have all of the attention all of the time. You're not very nice to Royalty and she did nothing to you." Sarita shrugged her shoulders saying, "I don't really care. I'm not interested in getting to know her because she'll be gone in no time anyway." Lola didn't know why Sarita was so devilish sometimes. Compared to her and Saniye she hadn't seen anything.

Being raped by a guy who supposedly cared about her and loved her changed her for the worse. As bad as it sounds, Lola didn't think that was an excuse. Lola and Saniye had seen and done worse just to make sure she would never have to and they still held their head high. They could be bitter towards life, but they know these were the cards they were dealt so they deal with it. If you let life get the best of you it will chew you up and spit you out.

If Lola had it her way she would've went to school. Instead she makes sure she's able to see Sarita do that. Sarita is who Lola wanted to be. She wanted to be book smart and innocent to the crazy world they live in. Instead she was fucked by the world. Not made love to softly, but fucked hard. Instead of dwelling on it she made a way for herself and her sisters. She just wished Sarita appreciated it more. Sarita was a selfish and self-centered little thing and she didn't even realize it. If she had to sacrifice her life the way Lola did for her, she wouldn't have.

"Mhm," Lola hummed watching as Sarita fixed her hair. "Are you gonna tell me who you're going out with?" "Marquise," Sarita finally said as she brushed her hair with wavy curls. Lola looked in surprise asking, "Did you know he is Rhyme's son?" Sarita nodded her head. Lola figured because Sarita knew everything somehow. "Well, watch your back with that one."

"Why do you say that?" Sarita asked looking over at her sister. "He's a Jackson. You always gotta watch them," Lola said uncrossing her arms. "Enjoy your date," Lola said exiting Sarita's room. Sarita sighed brushing Lola's last comment off. She decided she would loosen up and go into this date with an open mind. She might actually like him. Sarita put the Anastasia Beverly Hills lipgloss to her naturally plump lips swiping it across. There were girls getting needles stuck in them to get lips like hers.

She pursed her lips going to her bedroom. She looked around her room for her Yeezy boost 350's not seeing them anywhere. She laid flat on the ground looking under the bed for them. When her hand touched something she grabbed it but it was her folder where she kept her paperwork for everything she needed in life. She looked at it noticing how messy it looked. She opened it not seeing the papers she got out of Tyree from blackmailing him. She frantically looked through all of the papers not seeing them.

She remembered when he came into her room giving her head. It made sense now why he did that. He stole the papers back. "That bitch!" Sarita yelled getting up from the ground. She grabbed her black Yeezy's instead putting those on then leaving her room. She was walking through the living room when an arm wrapped around her waist then spun her around. Marquise was staring in her face smiling, "You ready for our date?" Sarita looked towards the backyard saying, "Yeah, I just need to grab my purse."

"Alright, I'll be waiting down here." Sarita nodded then decided she'll deal with Tyree later. She jogged up the stairs going to her room grabbing her black mini Givenchy Antigona. She put it across her body jogging back downstairs leaving with Marquise in Rhyme's Land Rover.

First they went out to eat and now they were at the drive-in movies. They both sat in the trunk as a cartoon movie played. Because the movies were a package deal for two the second one was something they weren't interested in. At least Marquise wasn't. Sarita ended up getting into it surprisingly. She looked at the screen laughing as she sipped her Cherry Icee. Marquise yawned loudly making Sarita look at him. "Sorry. Hey, let's go to the backseat and talk. This is boring."

Sarita raised her eyebrow saying, "But I'm watching this." She looked at Marquise's facial expression saying, "Alright." Marquise hopped down from inside the trunk while Sarita took the lazy route climbing over the seat. Marquise slid into the backseat as Sarita asked, "So what you wanna talk about?" "Anything and everything," Marquise replied. Sarita knew he wanted to do more than talk but she was going to entertain him.

"What do you want to do with your life?" Sarita asked. "Because right now you just work in Dareon's strip club. Do you see yourself doing anything else?" Marquise shrugged because at 18 he had no real life goals or plans. One day he was floating through life, the next his mother died and he needed to find a place to live. "I want to go to school, I just needed to figure some things out first. I needed some money in my pocket first. Why are you so motivated with this school shit?"

"I just see myself being totally different then what people expect. When people think of the Mikael sisters they think about looks. I don't want it to be that way." "But who cares what people think, right?" Marquise asked as Sarita shook her head. "No. When you die no matter how hard they cry for you they'll still judge the life you lived. I don't want to be known as just one of the Mikael sister sluts."

"Is that what you think about your sisters?" Sarita made a face saying, "I don't think, I know that. I just wish they would've chose a better way. Lola came here young and couldn't get a real job. I would have rather her go to a shelter than her be a prostitute, stripper or even turning tricks for money. She cries about sacrifice and blah, blah, blah but she knows that's all she knew. She didn't do it for me or Saniye. She did it because she didn't want to do anything else. The only skill our mother gave us was cooking, cleaning and laying on our back. Lola just doesn't have a skill and she doesn't want to get one. She'll never admit that."

Sarita continued, "I'm different though. I always have been. I didn't believe what my mother or father told me. I always wanted to get my education and a career. I haven't even told any of my sisters this, but I got into Harvard law school so next fall I'm out of here. I can finally get out of this house." Marquise nodded his head in approval, "Wow! Congratulations."

After about ten minutes of talking it eventually led to them making out. Sarita was enjoying it but she needed to slow down, but it was as if every time she tried to pull away the more aggressive he got. Sarita finally pulled away from Marquise's tight grip saying, "Stop it!" Marquise sighed rubbing over his head sitting back saying, "Sorry."

Sarita said nothing getting out of the backseat. She walked around the car when Marquise got out of the car yelling, "Where are you going?! I said I was sorry!" He chased behind her catching up to her. She brought her bomber jacket closer to her body as the wind blew her hair around. "I'm going to get some popcorn," she said continuing to walk through the field.

Marquise grabbed her arm making Sarita stop walking and making her look at him. "What the fuck is your problem?! You don't always have to be such a prude all of the time, damn!" Sarita jerked her head back saying, "Prude?! Maybe you shouldn't be so damn aggressive!" "I wouldn't have to be if you would just loosen up. You could let Tyree do what he wants, but now you wanna act like this. Plus, I heard you like it a little rough."

Sarita furrowed her brows saying, "Who told you that?" "Nobody told me. I know about you accusing your ex of rape. Tell the truth...you lied. He broke your heart, so you lied. The girl who cried rape. I've seen it all before." Sarita raised her hand up slapping Marquise in the face saying, "Fuck you!" She took off walking while Marquise touched his aching cheek in disbelief. He started walking right on Sarita's trail. She was no longer walking towards the concession stands but towards the woods.

"Where the fuck are you going?!" Marquise yelled behind her. "Home! Away from you!" She yelled looking around trying to figure out which way to go. "Are you stupid? Bring your ass back to the car and I'll take you home." "No!" She yelled continuing to walk. Marquise ran up to her grabbing her arm, but she snatched it away. "You know, Sarita, all you need is some good dick. Maybe then you won't be so uptight. You're a bitch quite honestly."

"I'm that bitch and don't you forget it," she said scoffing. She turned around about to walk again but Marquise grabbed her arm tighter this time. "Let go!" She yelled trying to pull away. That's when Marquise just switched. The look in his eyes was different. They were darker and scarier. "There's treatment for bitches like you!" He said with clenched teeth as Sarita still tried to get him to let go of her. "Let go! Fine, I'll go back to the car with you."

"It's a little too late for that." Sarita looked up at Marquise in fear realizing what that look was. It was the same look her ex gave her before he took advantage of her. When Marquise pushed her to the ground she looked up at him confused. As he got closer she tried to get up, but he pushed her back down. "No, please!" She yelled as yanked her leggings down. She continued to fight, but it was no use.

She screamed a high pitch scream as he slid into her. As he rammed into her tears streamed down her cheeks as she looked up at the starry sky. "Not again..." She whispered only for Marquise to cover her mouth with his hand.

Tyree leaned his head on his hand spaced out in his studio. He didn't know what he was thinking about he just knew he wasn't present in the moment. He sighed deeply laying his head back looking at the ceiling. He closed his eyes as the music played while an angelic voice sung over the beat
