jimin munched on his beef jerky as he leaned back on the fogged up car window. he directed his attention onto jungkook.

"let's stop at the convenience store."

jungkook groaned. they had already stopped at a variation of different places solely for the purpose of jimin getting more snacks.

"again?" he queried. "we have thirty minutes left till we reach the prison. i think you'll live."

jimin gritted his teeth at the younger's response. he truly disliked jungkook in all forms possible. the ravenette was intrusive, a bit insensitive, yet it was clear to be seen that those mannerisms were due to a source of ignorance and bad influence.

perhaps if dokyeom never entered jungkook's life, he could've turned out way better.

the blonde responded back with confident authority. "the store is only three minutes away from here, why are you being so difficult? i just want some fucking cotton candy!"

"i'm not even the one driving! ask yoongi!" jungkook aggressively slammed his hand on the window.

if he knew beforehand that jimin had the same mindset as some snobby child, he would've just left him at the froyo shop in the first place.

"just shut up." jungkook pleaded. "they probably have a few vending machines at the prison. i'm sure you'll live."

jimin whined in stubbornness. he always felt his chest close up when he didn't get his way.

"jungkook's right," yoongi interfered. his heart almost fell out of his chest when he glanced back at a frowning jimin. "i'm sorry, but it's not worth the stop. we're almost there."

"alright, fine. whatever!" the blonde yelled out. he sat back in his original position and looked down at the matted carpets. since nobody was listening, he wasn't going to talk in general.

it was after ten minutes that yoongi stopped at a red light. jungkook took advantage of the opportunity to ask jimin a few well thought-out questions.

"hyung?"

jimin averted his eyes from him and dramatically turned away, completely shunning jungkook's presence.

jungkook squinted his eyes in confusion at jimin's act. he could never avoid the elder's intolerable attitude.

he allowed himself to give in. "fine. if you stop ignoring me, i'll buy you all the snacks you want when we're driving back home."

jimin stared blankly at the ravenette. his arms were folded tightly over his freshly-iron shirt. for such a frail male, he was so bold. "what do you even want?"

"how did you even break into my house?" jungkook inquired. yoongi proceeded to drive as the light transitioned to a bright green.

"you're too silly." the blonde giggled at his question. "if i tell you then i won't be able to break in anymore."

"what?" jungkook sighed. he wished jimin could engage with him in an understanding manner, but he was just too hardheaded. a small display of empathy would be nice.

but then again, jungkook couldn't blame him. he sent jimin's life in an ongoing spiral due to his poor actions. if anything, he deserved it.

yoongi found himself swerving into a deserted area. the car traveled with instability at its contact with the rocky road.

"i think we're here."

the eldest drove down the facility's entrance, lowering down the car window. his white hair flew in a heavenly wind as he grew paralyzed at the location's appearance. upon the walls written in stone were vulgar words that seemed sinful to utter out loud.

"yay!" jimin squealed. "i hope taehyung is here so i can watch him humiliate jungkook!"

the ravenette scoffed. "suck my dick."

"that's funny, because taehyung told me your cum tasted like pure garbage—"

"can you guys just shut the fuck up?!" yoongi yelled. his holler reverberated through their ears like a clap of anger, such as his rage. "if i knew you guys would fight this much then i would've just made you guys walk!"

jimin subconsciously licked his lips. the butterflies in his stomach became more active at the sound of yoongi getting aggressive.

"sorry, hyung," he spoke. "i'll do anything for you to forgive me."

jungkook rolled his eyes at the elder blatantly flirting with yoongi during a moment like this. he opened the door and stepped out the car.

"we need to go now."

the two others trailed behind the ravenette as they entered the detention center. a striking scream echoed throughout the facility, causing them to flinch in shock.

"...i think someone just dropped the soap," yoongi commented.

a woman who appeared to be in her mid-twenties walked up to the counter. she called for a set of bodyguards to search them for possible weapons or threats toward the facility.

jimin dramatically tensed at the feeling of getting patted down, particularly on his lower body. "get off me, you perv!"

"they're all clear," one of the guards confirmed. they grabbed ahold of their large belts consisting of multiple weapons and departed from the scene.

the young woman behind the counter returned her attention back to the three men. "how may i be to your service?"

jungkook exchanged swift looks with yoongi and jimin, implying that he would be the one to speak up.

"are calling hours available right now?"

"yes, who are you here for?"

"taehyung's dad," he replied.

jimin smacked his own forehead in frustration. he invasively stepped on jungkook's toes before bringing his mouth to his ears.

"you dumbass! how is she supposed to know who taehyung is?"

"well, you never told me his dad's name—"

"excuse me," the lady intervened. the solid expression on her face was an interpretation of debased analysis and suspicion. it seemed like she required no empathy. "i said, who are you here for?"

jimin softly shoved the younger out his way. "we're here for kim donghyun. i'm sorry."

she hummed before inserting all their names in the computer system. she provided them with laminated name tags and the security guard near by them to the telephone section.

yoongi caught onto the sudden scent of marijuana in a flash. "i miss those days."

jungkook ignored the elder's statement, allowing intrusive thoughts leak through him. he felt soft panics growing or lessening depending on what he did next.

he found himself gnawing on the inside of his cheek. out of all ways, he never expected this to be the way he met taehyung's father.

"your inmate will be here soon," the guard blankly announced to them.

"i'm so excited to finally meet him!" jimin quietly exclaimed. him and yoongi took a seat in the waiting room as jungkook entered the booth in preparation to meet taehyung's father.

he started all of this in the first place, so he might as well have done the honors.

it was after a few minutes that a grey-haired male sat in front of jungkook, with the exception of a glass wall separating them.

the male had the standard issue white face with ubiquitous shoulders and a square chin. he had no sense of emotion and no visible weakness.

he looked just like taehyung.

"who are you?" he mumbled with dread.

"i'm jungkook," the ravenette gulped. "i'm here to ask you a few questions about your son."

taehyung's father silently hissed. he tightened his grip on the telephone, causing his knuckles to go white. he brought his head down.

"you said you're jungkook?"

"yes, sir."

something began weighing down the grey-haired male and his muscles were struggling to compensate for his lack of balance. he dropped the telephone in result.

"i need you to leave."

jungkook tapped on the window. "i'm sorry, you dropped the phone. i can't hear you—"

taehyung's father slammed his trembling hand on the wall. there was a wrinkle in his nose due to his upcoming rage attack. his muscles were tightened as his jaw clenched.

"fucking leave! i need you to leave!"

the guards behind the elder immediately held him in their custody and forced him up from the seat. they put him in handcuffs as a form of mobilizing him.

"i'm gonna fucking kill you! dear god, i'm gonna fucking—"

jungkook backed up from his position with his hands raised. the shock that registered inside his brain couldn't be put into formal words.

jimin disturbingly witnessed the outburst take place, causing him to chase after taehyung's father and the security guards. he still needed many answers.

"mr. donghyun, please!" he cried out as he tried his best to catch up to them.

jungkook stumbled back, mouth wide. yoongi grabbed him by the arm and led him back to the waiting room. "we need to go. now."

"i-i don't know what i expected," jungkook responded. "but we have to wait for jimin."

his fingers coiled into fists. waves of sorrow rolled off as the blood ran into his cheeks. jungkook was absolutely speechless.

so much for a first impression.

yoongi caressed his shoulder. "it's alright, man. let's just wait for jimin."

the two impatiently awaited jimin's arrival, flumping in complete silence. they had two completely different interpretations of what had just happened, but it still left the exact same amount of astonishment.

they suddenly sensed jimin's presence near them before rapidly raising their heads for answers.

"did you get to him?" jungkook emotionlessly inquired.

"oh, god." jimin heavily breathed out.

he couldn't pull himself to standing, soon falling to his knees on the hardwood floor. his tears came in multiple streams as he heard the echoes of the other two men begging for answers.

he bit his lip tightly in attempt to hide any sobbing sound that yearned to escape his mouth.

"jimin, what the hell is wrong?!" jungkook yelled.

the blonde's lower lip quivered as words slowly made their way out his mouth. "t-taehyung..."

"taehyung, what?!" jungkook slammed his fist against the concrete wall. a small stream of blood trailed down his arm.

ear-splitting sounds of agony came from jimin as though he were a broken record. his glossy eyes scanned for yoongi to comfort him, but the elder was just as frightened as the others.

"taehyung hung himself."
