Recap

Ding-dong. I sighed as I walked to the door. I already changed into my pyjamas and I haven't brushed my hair since this morning. I swung open the door to see. . .

Chapter 32

Brooke's POV

"Uh, hi Clayton," I said giving him a weird look.

"Uh, hi Brooke," He grinned.

"Uhm, why are you here?" I asked awkwardly.

"Oh yea, you're supposed to follow me, and put this on," He said as he put a blindfold over my eyes. He then grabbed my wrist and pulled me outside.

"Uh, ok?" I said closing the door and following him.

"So why are you here?" I asked.

"Oh, I'm wingmanning," He grinned.

"Clayton! I told you not to tell her," A familiar voice hissed.

"Sorry!" Clayton whisper-shouted back.

"Adam?" I asked.

"Clayton, you ruined the surprise," Adam sighed, "Well, Brooke you can take off the blindfold." I pulled off the blindfold and there is Adam in a crisp sky blue and white checkered shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, holding his guitar.

"Well, I think my work is done, bye," Clayton said as he waved goodbye.

"Brooke, well since you like my guitar, I brought it out, so just listen," He said as he started to sing.

"Boy bands? Really?" I asked with a silly grin on my face.

"Uh, yea," He said giving me a proud smile.

"So, I guess you wanna talk," I said biting my lip.

"And I guess you're willing to listen?" He asked hopefully as I nodded. He didn't say anything, but he wrapped his arms around me. I know I'm shouldn't be liking this, but I did. It just felt like I fit into his arms perfectly.

"So you wanna go back to my house?" I asked.

"Yea, sure," He shrugged. In a flash we are back in my room sitting of my bed.

Adam's POV

"I think you should start," Brooke said biting her lip. She really has to stop doing that, because every time she bites her lip, I have an urge to just kiss the sh*t out of her.

"Ok, well," I said starting to explain everything that happened.

                                                                         -----------------

I walked towards the parking lot when someone grabbed my shoulder and turned me around. "Brooke?" I grinned, but then I saw that it was Vienna and my grin instantly turned into a scowl. "F*ck off,"

"Aww, Adam don't be that way," She purred.

"What do you want?" I grimaced at her tone. I flinched as she ran her fake nails along my chest.

"I just want to talk to you," She said pouting.

"Go away," I scowled.

"It's about Brooke," She smirked as I raised an eyebrow.

"What about her?" I frowned.

"Well," She said as she spun her hair around her finger, "I can't tell you if you don't want to talk to me." D*mnit, she's got me trapped.

"Ok, what?" I frowned.

"We can't talk here, it's too open," She said biting her lip as she pulled me into an empty classroom.

"What are you gonna say about her?" I scowled.

"She's a slut," Vienna said flipping her hair.

"D*mnit Vienna, you just don't like her because I like her more than you," I frowned.

"She isn't good enough for you," Vienna frowned.

"You're not good enough for me," I frowned back. "I'm leaving,"

"Ok," Vienna sand, "well, I think that Brooke's gonna have a really bad day tomorrow,"

I turned back around growled, "What the h*ll are you planning?"

"I don't know, why don't you tell me?" She grinned evilly. Girls are so confusing.

"Ok, what do you want?" I scowled at her.

"Oh so now you figured it out, huh?" She said batting her eyelashes.

"So what do you want? Money?" I said.

"I'm not a prostitute, Adam," She said rolling her eyes. But you dress like one, so same thing.

"Then what do you want?" I frowned. Hopefully, Brooke isn't waiting too long.

"How about in exchange for not bothering Brooke, you give me a kiss," She smirked. "With your shirt off and you have to kiss me back." I thought for a moment. Was it really worth it?

"What about something else?" I said trying to change her mind.

"Nope, that's the deal," She shrugged casually.

"No, I can't cheat on Brooke," I said as I walked towards the door, she has probably been waiting for a while now.

"Okaayy then," She said in a sing-song voice, "I guess Brooke will have one h*ll of a day tomorrow." Sh*t, what's she gonna do to her? Should I do it? That's what she said. Back to the subject.

"What are you gonna do to her?" I scowled; this is wasting my time.

"Oh, I can't tell you," She smiled sweetly, "Or else it's not gonna be a surprise,"

"Just tell me," I frowned at her.

"Nope," She grinned. "Don't you have somewhere to be? Plus I need to pick up a few things for a little surprise,"

"Wait, so if I kiss you, you won't-" I said as Vienna cut me off.

"Without a shirt," She butted in.

"Ok, so if I kiss you without a shirt, you won't bother Brooke, ever?" I asked.

"Yup, ever," She nodded.

"Is there anything else? I could wash your car in a speedo or something, since you're so obsessed with me," I offered.

"Nope, you have to kiss me, and don't worry about cheating on Brooke; she's not here and what happens in this room stays in this room," Vienna said sincerely.

"Er, okay," I said giving in. I leaned in and Vienna's lips met mine, and then they quickly pulled away.

"That's it?" I grinned, "Ok bye!" Ok, it was just a quick kiss, nothing else. Maybe I'll tell Brooke, later though. My mind was racing about a million miles per second as I headed towards the door, but Vienna stopped me.

"Hold up, you had your shirt on," She smirked. Sh*t, I'm gonna have to kiss her twice. Frowning I pulled off my shirt and tossed it aside. I walked over to her and sighed.

"Let's get this over with," I muttered. I closed my eyes and smashed my lips against hers, and in no time her tongue flickered over my bottom lip. I reluctantly opened my mouth and soon our tongues were dancing. Most guys would be enjoying this, but to be honest I'm not. It just doesn't feel right. Sure, I've cheated on other girls, but with Brooke. . . It just seems wrong. By now Vienna was all over my chest; she was kissing it and leaving lipstick marks, which I will have to wash off before I go to Brooke. She moved back up to my lips and placed her arms around my neck, while my hands are around her waist.

Abruptly, the door swung open and someone muttered something. I pulled away from Vienna and looked straight at the person who was standing in the doorway; Brooke.

"Brooke, I can explain," I said pushing Vienna off of me. Brooke's eyes were wide and she looked as shocked as I was.

"Three months Adam. Three months," She said shakily as I turned through the desk to get to her, but I stopped short once I heard what she said.

"F*ck," I cursed. Brandon cheated on her after three months and today is. . . May thirteenth; three months of official dating. "Brooke, I can explain!" By the time the last syllable came out of my mouth she was out of the room.

                                                                       --------------------

"And then, well you know what happened," I said awkwardly. I looked up into her eyes as she processed all of the information that I just gave her.

Brooke's POV

"Do you really think that if you make up some story that I'm going to believe it and forgive you?" I spat. I crossed my arms across my chest and drummed my fingers against my arms as I waited for his answer.

"What? Never," Adam sighed, "Why would I lie to you?"

"Oh, well I don't know, maybe when I found you making out with Vienna, of course you wouldn't lie to me after that," I sassed sarcastically.

"Brooke, you have to believe me, I'm not lying," He pleaded. The look in his eyes almost made me forgive him, but after what he did I just can't trust him. "You don't trust me, do you?"

"Isn't it obvious?" I scowled.

"Well, I don't know what to say, but I'm not lying Brooke. I am telling you the truth," He said almost too sincerely. "Are you still mad at me? I'm telling you the truth," Adam asked when I didn't say anything.

"I'm not mad," I sighed.

"Then what are you?" Adam sighed back at me as he ran his hands through his hair in frustration.

"Disappointed," I whispered.

"Oh," He breathed out. He stopped to think and by the look on his face, it seems the me being disappointed is much worse than me being mad at him."Brooke," He started, "I need you back. I'll do anything. Just say it,"

 "I-I don't know," I stuttered.

"Brooke, I promise I won't hurt you. I just want you to be my girlfriend again," He pleaded.

"You promised last time," I said, looking at the floor trying to avoid his gaze.

"Brooke," He started, but I cut him off.

"Adam," I frowned, "I'm sorry, but I just don't believe you."

"Brooke, I'm telling you the truth," He begged, but I just shook my head.

"Adam you cheated on me and now you're lying?" I frowned raising an eyebrow.

"Brooke, I know that you think I'm lying, but. I. Am. Telling. You. The. Truth," He said slowly, trying to get me to change my mind.

"Adam-" I started, but he cut me off by kissing me. This kiss felt familiar. The pressure of his lips against mine; how we fit perfectly together, but I pulled away just as I realized what I am doing.

"Brooke," He said with a knowing grin on his face, "You still like me,"

"No I don't," I lied. He shuffled closer to me and a moved away avoiding his puppy eyes.

"Then why'd you kiss me back?" He smirked as if he was enjoying making me uncomfortable. I bit my lip and then frowned at him.

"I didn't kiss you back," I scowled, but he was still smirking.

"Yes you did,"

"No I didn't,"

"Yes,"

"No,"

"Yes,"

"Shut up," I scowled.

"Not until you admit that you kiss me back," Adam smirked giving me a big fat bear hug.

"Let go of me," I frowned.

"Do you admit that you kissed me back?" He teased.

"Do you admit that you kissed Vienna?" I scowled, catching him completely off guard.

"Brooke, I-" He stuttered.

"Yea, I know, 'I'm telling you the truth'," I mocked while rolling my eyes. He ran is hands through his hair, which I have to say is oh so sexy.

"Brooke, if you need another explanation, I will retell you that story," Adam offered, but I just yawned. I just can't trust him at this moment after what happened.

"Adam, it's getting late. You should go," I sighed.

"Uh, ok, but Brooke," He said not wanting to argue with me as we walked to the door, "I'm going to get you back."

"Bye Adam," I sighed as he walked out the door. I gave him a small wave and he waved back.

"I promise," He called as he walked away towards his car.
