A/N Get ready for a depressed Taehyung!

Taehyung did good at honoring Jungkook's wishes to be left alone. He didn't talk to him, never made eye contact, and always sat as far away as possible. Honestly, it was killing him to do so. He hadn't been happy in two weeks, it having been two weeks ago since Jungkook told him to leave him alone.

Jungkook and Siwon had been happy though. There were no problems anymore, just fluff. They were having a great time in the art program, it taking Jungkook no time to rise to the top of his class with his talent.

They hadn't had sex yet still, which both of them were content with, and settled on lots on kisses and cuddles. Lisa had taken the spot as Jungkook's best friend, but still had yet to show interest in anyone romantically. Jungkook had asked her a few times why that was, but she would just say it wasn't relevant right now and brush it off, leaving Jungkook more curious each time as to when it would be relevant.

Jungkook felt almost everything was perfect.

Almost.

A part of him missed Taehyung deeply, just as a friend and not. He had brought up the idea of maybe becoming friends with Taehyung again to Siwon, but the idea was shot down immediately, Siwon saying he didn't know if he would ever be okay with that.

Jungkook said he understood, because he didn't want to lose Siwon. Siwon had specifically told him that if he starts getting close to Taehyung again, he would have to break up with him, because he couldn't handle the anxiety of thinking he was going to lose Jungkook, despite what Jungkook said.

So, here Jungkook was, laying alone in his bed, confused beyond belief. He longed for Taehyung, he missed him, but he didn't want to go back to him. Well, he did, but he knew he couldn't. He was with Siwon and he deeply cared about Siwon, the defining point being that Siwon cared about him too.

He wondered if Taehyung was having as hard of a time with this.

***

For Taehyung, this was harder than he thought it would be. Upon realizing he was, in fact, in love with Jungkook, then realizing he fucked it up beyond belief, then realizing he couldn't even talk to Jungkook anymore, he'd fallen apart more than a little bit.

He hadn't been having sex with Jenny by any means, which pissed her off. He wasn't affectionate like before, he wasn't happy, cheery, or romantic, he wasn't Taehyung. He wished so badly he hadn't freaked out, that he hadn't tried to fix his and Jenny's relationship. He should have let it go a long time ago.

He spent most of his time ignoring Jenny or telling her he wanted to be alone. When alone, he would lay in his dorm and think of Jungkook. He would cry most times, hating how he fucked this up. He would hold the shirt he gave Jungkook many years ago close, remembering how much his heart broke when Jungkook gave it back to him.

Taehyung hadn't meant to hurt Jungkook. He had freaked out and chosen the wrong words, which he then tried to correct, but Jungkook left. He had went to Jungkook's dorm to tell him he loved him and be with him, but he was meant with rejection.

Now he knew how Jungkook must've felt.

But, the pain got worse. It got worse when Jungkook said he didn't want Taehyung to be around him, that he had a date, that he was going to admit the one thing to Taehyung that Taehyung longed for. He had broken Jungkook and got broken back.

Today was the first day he had spent with Jenny in a while, and he was anything but excited, but it was her birthday, so he didn't have a choice. They had went out to breakfast, then shopped around the mall. Jenny had been disappointed when Taehyung didn't buy her anything, since he also didn't give her a gift.

The only thing he had given her was a mumbled happy birthday and a quick kiss.

They then went out to lunch and a movie, which Taehyung had ended up falling asleep during, due to the fact that he hadn't been getting much sleep at all. Spending all your time crying about the love you can't have takes a lot out of you, but it leaves you far from sleep when they were your only source of comfort.

After the movie and taking a walk, they had went back and got ready for a fancy dinner. Taehyung dressed up as much as he felt like, which was just a nice shirt, nice pants, and shoes, while Jenny had went all out, wearing a skin tight red dress and pumps, plus her makeup was all done.

When she showed up at Tae's dorm, since he hadn't offered to pick her up, she smiled and stood in front of him. She waited for a minute before frowning.

"What?', Taehyung asked, his voice monotone.

"Nothing? You aren't gonna say anything?", Jenny asked, halfway scoffing.

"Lets go. There's something", Taehyung yawned as he got up and began walking to the door.

"No comment on my appearance?", Jenny asked.

"You look nice, now lets go", Taehyung said. Jenny huffed and mumbled a 'fine' as she followed. Dinner was pretty quiet. The other meals, Jenny had been chattering, but this one, she was out of chatter.

"Are you gonna say anything? You've been mute the whole day, make that two weeks", Jenny huffed," What. Is. Up"

"Nothing, I just have a lot on my mind", Taehyung murmured.

"Well get it off your mind. It's my birthday and you need to act like you used to", Jenny whined.

"I make no promises", Taehyung halfway scoffed.

They were silent through the rest of dinner before going back to Jenny's dorm. As soon as they got in there, Jenny tried kissing Taehyung, but he pushed her away some.

"You're kidding, right?", Jenny asked in disbelief.

"No, I don't feel like doing anything tonight", Taehyung responded.

"It's my birthday, you didn't even get me a present, made me pay for dinner, and now you won't even fuck me?", Jenny yelled.

"Fine, take your clothes off", Taehyung said as he started stripping.

"Thank you", Jenny smiled, not caring that Taehyung didn't seem into it at all. They ended up going one round, Taehyung taking forever since he wasn't into it at all. He left as soon as Jenny fell asleep.

When he got back to his dorm, he changed into pajamas, cuddled up to Jungkook's shirt in bed, and fell asleep after crying.

He hated himself for what he did. He missed Jungkook dearly. He had to make it right.

He had to talk to him.
