Dylan's POV

"Alex that's the ugliest shirt I've ever seen and I'm not letting you travel out the state with it on. Put it back in your closet."

It was currently four-twelve in the morning and we were packing for our trip to Tennessee for the football championship game today. This should've been something we did yesterday but of course, we decided to be your average lazy and unprepared teens. We're supposed to be at the school by five AM and I truly hope Alex and I make it in time.

"What do you mean? I don't see the problem with it."

He protests, referring to the most tackiest shirt I've ever seen being held in his hand. I had repeatedly told him to put back but he refused to give it up. I'm honestly not in the mood for his crap, it's to fucking early for this.

"It literally looks like it was designed by a four year old!"

"Ugh you're such a cranky asshole in the morning."

Alex accuses, rolling his eyes and chucking the shirt back into his closet. I sigh exceptionally loud and flop down onto his bed face first, breathing in the calming scent of it. I'm so not a morning person.

"So you want me to drive you to your house to pick up a couple of your outfits and stuff, correct?"

I turn my head and look at him with a frown, narrowing my eyes in confusion.

"Uhm no, I don't want to step one foot in that house. I'm obviously not welcome there."

"C'mon Dylan don't be ridiculous, of course you're welcome there. Not to mention that you can't hold this grudge forever. Don't you miss Jada? Your sweet adorable little sister who's probably wondering where her one and only big brother has been for the past four days."

He says, sitting down next to me and placing a hand on my shoulder. I close my eyes and ponder on his words, reminiscing of the time where my life was so much easier and less complicated. The time when my parents were fine, the time when I thought I was straight and wasn't in love with my best friend. But, he was the best thing to ever happen to me and I honestly wouldn't change the way things turned out between us.

"Dylan?"

"Oh sorry. You're right, I shouldn't hold this against her forever. When we come back from Tennessee I'll go home and try to fix things with her. But for now, I'm wearing some of your clothes."

I respond with a small smile that he returns with a grin, nodding his head in agreement. Alex was right. Whether I accept it or not, I need my family and they need me. The only concern is if my parents will except me as who I am if one day I decide to tell them. Guess l'll just cross that bridge when it comes along.

"Whatchu thinking about cutie?"

"Nothing, just that we better move our asses so we can make it to the school on time."

I lie, chuckling as Alex looks at the clock on his wall and gasps because of how little time we had. He jumps up from the bed and rushes to his closet, grabbing a simple pair of joggers and a blue t-shirt to pack for our approximately seven hour trip. We were gonna be gone for a couple days coach said. As soon as our team arrives, we will rest a little while at the hotel he picked out for us before practicing a bit then driving to the college that the championship game is being held.

When we, of course, win then we'll go back to the hotel and celebrate then eventually go to sleep before having to head back home in the morning. Yeah, today's gonna be pretty hectic but hopefully we pull through. I have faith that our team will do well. We've been working our asses off and totally deserve this win. I heard our opponents our pretty good too but as long as we stay focused and do our best, I'm sure we'll be fine.

Alex and I eventually finish getting ready, with twenty minutes to spare. It'll take about ten minutes to get there, not including any red lights and stop signs that will decide to interfere. At least there won't be any traffic because of how early it is, thankfully. We will still most likely be the last ones there though. And to top it off, my stomach rumbles, reminding me to make sure I get some food and get it ASAP.

"Ready to kick some ass?"

Alex asks smirking, placing the strap of his duffle bag on his shoulder. I grab my phone off the dresser, putting on my jacket and turning to him with a wide grin.

"Hell yeah."

~*~

Alex and I arrived five minutes before we were supposed to get there. As expected, we were the second to last ones there. Everyone loaded onto the huge city type bus, putting our luggage in the storage above the seats. We were all waiting on Brad to get here, not surprising. He was always the last person to get here regarding every important thing he had to do.

It was still dark and not to mention freezing outside, considering how early it is, but the lights on the bus made it easier to see. As soon as we pull off I'm definitely taking my ass to sleep. Alex sits down next to me with a smile after successfully fitting his duffle bag full of our necessities into the compartment above us. Oh how much I just wanted to curl up next to him and fall asleep. Ugh, I sound like a little girl.

But it's true, that's all I wanted to do at the moment. Of course that's not possible because we're, sadly, surrounded by our whole fucking football team and I wouldn't want them suspecting anything. The sound of Coach Arron's voice terminates my factual depressing thoughts.

"I'm seriously about to leave that boy."

He threatens, referring to our main quarter back that still wasn't here yet. I yawn loudly, tuning out his voice and leaning my head against the window.

"I'm tired."

I whine to Alex in a somewhat baby voice. He chuckles at this, cautiously and discreetly placing a hand on my thigh.

"Go to sleep then."

"I can't because I wanna. . .cuddle."

I pause a bit before whispering out the last word, feeling a tad bit of embarrassment by saying it out loud. Alex raises a brow and hums confusedly.

"You want to what?" He questions.

"Ugh, I want you to cuddle me to sleep."

I use a hand to cover one of my now extremely heated cheeks as Alex laughs, making me suddenly feel vulnerable and stupid for telling him that.

"You're cute."

He says, grinning widely at me and removing the hand I was covering my face with.

"But you know we can't right now. We're on a bus full of our football teammates and according to you, you don't want anybody finding out about us at the moment."

He points out.

"Yeah, I know."

I agree gloomily, sighing at having to wait till we get back home just to act like we normally do. Before Alex could respond, a voice interrupts him.

"Dylan, Alex wassup dudes."

Brads annoyingly cheery voice says, causing my boyfriend to immediately retract his hand from my thigh. When did he even get here?

"Sup."

I smile, Alex responding to Brad's greeting with  only a quick nod. Our heads turn to the front of the bus at the blow of a whistle that we knew all to well.

"Alright you little tards, sit down in your seats so we can get on the road already!"

Coach shouts, everyone quickly taking their seats at the sound of his command. Brad thankfully walks away from us and sits down somewhere in the front. The engine of the bus starts and it's soon dark again as the lights faded till they were completely turned off. Loud chatter fills my ears when we finally pull out the back parking lot of the school, eventually dying down a bit after while.

It was only about five-thirty in the morning so of course after a few minutes of driving, light snores could be heard from next to us and behind us. I turn on my phone out of boredom, deciding to go though my social media's to by pass time since I couldn't go back sleep. Alex suddenly places a hand on my thigh again and I ignore it, until it starts gravitating higher.

"Alex what are you doing? Stop it."

I urge, shooing his hand away from me. He disregards my protest, sliding an arm around my waist and faintly pressing his lips against my ear.

"I'm not doing anything."

He whispers back through the darkness, sending an unwanted shiver down my spine. I bite the inside of my cheek hard to hold back a noise I've become all to familiar of making. Resist Dylan. Resist.

"Stop lying."

I accuse, trying to keep my mind from thinking of these unruly thoughts at this hour of the day. Alex ignores my statement, turning my head towards his and connecting our lips. I eagerly kiss back, tilting my head and parting my lips. He smiles against my lips before slightly pulling away, causing me to whine at the loss of contact.

"I love you so fucking much."

He murmurs quietly, caressing my cheek with his thumb. Never could I have imagined I'd like to be treated like this by someone. I sigh contently, leaning into his touch before quickly pulling away after coming to realization that we were still on a bus full of people. It wasn't safe for us to be pulling little stunts like this, especially since the sun would be rising soon and we would be in broad day light.

"We shouldn't be doing this here." I state halfheartedly.

"Fine."

He agrees, removing his arm from behind me and siting back in his seat as he previously was. I take his hand in mine and intertwine our fingers, gently laying my head on his shoulder. Alex rubs his thumb over my hand and I yawn loudly, realizing just how much I craved sleep at the moment.

"Get some sleep love."

"Still not a fan of that name."

I mumble, letting out another tired yawn. He chuckles and kisses the back of my hand, bringing a smile to my face as I eventually doze off.

~*~

My eyes slowly flutter open, being met with a blinding light and an empty spot next to me. I search around frantically for Alex after realizing he wasn't next to me.

"Have you two seen Alex?"

I ask Byron and Cy, the two people who were right across from Alex's and I's seats. They were actually pretty chill dudes.

A/N (The C in Cy's name is pronounced like how an S sounds.)

"He went to the bathroom I think."

Bryon answers nonchalantly. That would make sense.

"Oh, thanks."

I quietly thank him before taking my phone out the pocket of my pants and checking to see if I had any notifications. Alex's mom had texted me asking if everything is fine and why he wasn't texting her back. I chuckle at his worrywart of a mother, responding with a simple 'fine' and letting her know that he was in the bathroom at the moment.

Maya and the rest of our friends were blowing up our phones in the group chat we all had. Talking about the most random shit ever, the only normal thing said was them asking if we were enjoying our ride to Tennessee. I wasn't gonna read all the messages they sent of course so I just told them we were doing okay, for now at least. No message from my mom. Not surprising.

I turn my phone off and place it back inside my pocket, waiting patiently for Alex to return as I rested my head against the fogged window. It won't be as cold as it is now when we get to Tennessee and I'm happy. Who doesn't like the sun and warm weather? I feel a presence next to me and grin, knowing it was Alex.

"Finally awake sleepyhead?"

"Yup. All energized and ready to kick some ass on the football field."

He laughs softly at my response, ruffling my hair as he always does.

"You won't ever stop doing that till the day we die will you?"

I ask with a halfhearted glare. He shakes his head no, playfully slapping my cheek a couple times. My stomach rumbles, reminding me of my previous hunger.

"I'm starving."

"We brought snacks before we got on the bus, remember? Just eat something from there till we stop to get something to eat."

Alex suggests, shrugging before turning his attention to his phone that he was holding. My eyes light up in realization and I'm soon reaching above my head to grab his duffle bag. This is gonna be a long ride.

Tennessee, here we come.

~*~

"Alright boys, we're here."

Alex and I eagerly look outside my window, being met with an extremely nice looking hotel. Holy shit. I reach up to the little compartment above and grab Alex's bag, just as everyone else had, and wait for further instructions. The bus door opens and Coach Arron stands up in his seat, clearing his throat to get ready and talk.

"Everyone can leave but be calm as you guys-"

He doesn't get to finish his sentence before our teammates begin rushing off the bus shouting, completely ignoring Coach's words. Well that's totally not a shocker. Alex and I wait for the unnecessarily rowdy boys to exit the bus, seeming we were the only ones who had at least a tad bit of home training. We eventually walk up to our coach who was, at the moment, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"Don't worry, they'll be fine."

I reassure, patting his back encouragingly before walking off the bus with Alex following behind me.

"Ugh, it feels so good to be off that damn bus."

He sighs, stretching his arms wide after pulling the strap of his duffle back further up his shoulder.

"You can say that again."

I agree with a quiet chuckle. Alex looks at me with that mischievous smirk of his, giving away that what ever he was thinking of at the moment wasn't per say 'good'.

"What are you thinking about?"

"You plus me plus a hotel room, alone. My mind can do nothing but wander to the gutter."

He says, winking before rushing ahead of me and inside the building toward the rest of our team. Leaving me utterly baffled and flustered as hell. He's such a fucking tease, but I don't completely dislike it. My feet guide me to the entrance and I quickly open the door, trudging over to the couch that most of them were gathered on.

The others were striding around the lobby, awing and gasping at every shiny thing they saw. Not gonna lie, coach did a good job picking the hotel. Props to him. As if on cue, he walks through the door, taking a glance around the area with a glare after seeing that not everyone was sitting down quietly like he had planned. His fingers were soon in his mouth and he blows a long breath that morphed into a whistle.

Every single player on our team head's turns to him and they immediately come stand by the rest of us. His semi-loud whistle gained the attention of only a few adults, surprisingly. Coach walks over and stands in front of us with an agitated look, crossing his arms as though he was fed up. Then again, he's always angry.

"Each room will contain three people. Choose now and when I come back after getting us signed in, y'all better have chosen or I'll be doing it for you."

He briskly informs us, sighing and walking toward the front desk. Alex gives me a look that said 'we're obviously sharing a room' and 'I'm pissed that it will be an extra person there so now I can't make you scream my name in pleasure till you lose your voice'. Pretty descriptive for a look but I know that's exactly what he's thinking. He walks over to me, placing a hand on my shoulder and leaning in next to my ear.

"Man that's such a let down. But then again, maybe not. I find it thrilling trying not to get caught. Don't you?"

Oh God.
