FRANKENSTEIN
26 | Three Little Birds.

Frankie's View

"DON'T worry 'bout a thing, cause every little thing is gonna alright."

My smile was larger than anything as I allowed my body to move to the beat. My muscles were relaxed as I moved with the reggae music. Miranda and Santiago did the same.

"You were guys were right, reggae is the antidote for all stress." I sighed dancing to one of my new favorite songs.

"I told you, Santiago is honestly the coolest vampire here. He has the best taste in music." Miranda said, moving herself to the music a relaxed look upon her face.

"Oh, how you flatter me, birdy." Santiago said to Miranda, a slight Jamaican accent underlining his voice.

I had learned that Miranda was close to one of the guard members who went by the name, Santiago. Santiago was from the Jamaican country, turned around sixty years ago. He was one of their newer vampires, but according to Miranda a huge asset. Apparently he was like Felix, without a gift - but extremely well trained in battle techniques. He even gave Felix a run for his money when it came down to strength.

Currently the three of us were in a 'common' room of sorts dancing along to his reggae music. There were multiple common rooms, scattered around the castle some more used than others.

"You know he met the man who sings this song, Frankie." Miranda informed me.

"Really?" I asked, surprise and excitement evident in my tone.

"Yes, Bob Marley was definitely a great singer." He smiled. "This is one of his more popular songs, it's called 'Three little Birds'." He explained still dancing.

"Saying, this is my message to you." I sang along, swaying my hips along to the beat.

"Yes, allow yourself to move with the beat, stay relaxed." Santiago said, singing along with me.

"You have some pipes, girl." Miranda complimented as she danced.

With a Cheshire she grin she walked over to me, and began dancing along side me. The three of us sang the reggae music, loud and proud - not caring who heard.

"Birdy, you father has asked me to question you on whether or not you would go shopping with Heidi? He feared if he asked himself you'd say no." Santiago called Miranda by the nickname he'd given her.

"I would rather die." She stated bluntly, continuing to dance.

"I told him you'd say no either way." Santiago laughed to himself, shaking his head.

These two were amazing, it was obvious they were closer than close. I would put it a far as to say they were best friends, more like siblings if anything. Earlier Miranda had taken it upon herself to introduce me to Santiago, and his amazing music. Aro had a meeting and would be gone for around and hour.

"So, do you guy's celebrate Christmas?" I asked, curious as to their answer.

"Uhg, no." Miranda complained, rolling her eyes. "About half the vampires here were born before Jesus Christ, making it a 'foolish holiday' as Caius puts it." She shook her head. "Stupid Caius." She muttered the last part much to my amusement.

"Don't speak about the master's that way, they do not let everything slide." Santiago warned Miranda, looking at her with a warning glance.

"Ha! My ass they don't let everything slide! Unless I were to literally commit treason, Aro lets everything I do go. Same goes for Caius and Marcus, the three love me!" Miranda exclaimed, a snort leaving her.

Santiago and I couldn't help but laugh at that statement. Miranda was hilarious.

"Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for you mate." A cool voice tsked from the entrance.

Instantly the three of us were looking to the entrance, only to see Alec standing there. He could have been older than fifteen or fourteen when he was turned, as both him and Jane contained a permanent youthful sheen to their faces.

"Alec!" Miranda cried out in happiness leaving my side, and running to Alec at vampire speeds.

With no warning what-so-ever Miranda threw her arms around Alec's neck and pulled him in for a tight hug. "I haven't seen you since we got back!"

Alec scowled and shoved Miranda away from him with a glare. However, Miranda didn't seem to mind at all - looking to be used to this behavior.

"Get off of me, you imbecile." Alec snarled at her, straightening out his suit.

"I have so much to tell you about the Bahamas! We should get together for tea and blood, and discuss it!" She clapped her hands happily.

"I will never-" Alec was cut off by her. "Okay, four it is." She interrupted setting a time, earning a harsh scowl.

"I will not show up." Alec crossed his arms stubbornly.

"Yes, you will. You may be late, but you always show." Miranda retorted hotly. "We should invite your sister too!"

"There is a reason you haven't seen Jane for over three months." Alec deadpanned. "She's avoiding you."

"Not for much longer." Miranda mumbled under her breath, a determined look in her eyes - before she turned back to Santiago and I with a smile.

"Frankie, I'm sure Aro's introduced you to Alec considering Jane and him are his favorites." Miranda motioned.

"We are not-" Alec cut himself off seeing the look we were all giving him, before sighing. "Okay, I suppose we might be." He gave in, looking to me giving me a nod in greetings.

I gave one back smiling big and waving. I vaguely heard him mumbling 'great, another Miranda' but opted to ignore it.

"You should stay and dance with us, right Santiago?" Miranda said, looking to Santiago for support.

"Sure, the more the merrier." He danced - singing along as the song changed to a different one.

"Don't worry be happy, now." The two us sang along to next song.

"Absolutely not." He said, only to have Miranda pull him from the entrance and to the middle of the room.

He stood in the middle of the room, his eyes enraged. "I swear by the gods that I will use my gift on you." He threatened lowly his finger twitching in obvious anticipation for his gift.

"Too late." Miranda spoke with a smirk making Alec widen his eyes.

It was apparent he knew exactly what was happening, much to my confusion. Santiago obviously knew as well, as he began laughing to himself.

"Don't you dare-" Alec froze on the spot as Miranda talked over him. "You will dance with us, and you will be on time for tea and blood later." Her voice was different than before.

It sounded much more commanding, controlling. It was hypnotizing, it made you quite literally want to do what she was asking. It almost gave you no choice in the matter.

"I hate you." Alec said in reply as his feet began moving to the beat, on their own accord.

It looked like he didn't want to be doing this, but his feet were giving him no choice. Miranda grinned viciously, joining him in on the dancing.

"Oh Alec, you never learn. Miranda always gets what she wants." Santiago tittered, shaking his head.

That's when it hit me. Miranda had power over the mind, she could quite literally make people do what she made them. She controlled them. A gift Aro had found useful in his own words.

A laugh left me, at the obvious disdain he felt. For the next thirty-minuted we danced to reggae and conversed about random subjects. Alec complained about his new hate for this music, and how he'd never forgive Miranda for this.

"Oh, give it a rest Alec. You know you like it." Miranda sang as the two of them danced to together, bouncing.

"What on Earth?" Aro's voice sounded from the door, causing us to all look at him

He looked at the scene before him, bemusement apparent in his eyes. We all stopped dancing, other than Alec who was still forced to move along with the beat.

"Master! She is harassing me!" Alec screamed accusingly at Miranda, his body still being forced to dance.

With a scoff Miranda turned to him. "Stop dancing." She commanded ceasing his dancing movements.

Within seconds Alec had fled the room, flying right past Aro. "I'll see you for tea and blood!" Miranda yelled after him with a smile.

"Miranda, you must stop traumatizing that boy." Aro shook his head, giving a nod to Santiago in greeting.

"Hello, my sweet." Aro was in front of me in seconds placing a chaste kiss on my lips.

I kissed him back with a smile. "The two of you are just adorable, I can't believe you actually got a women, Aro! I honestly thought you'd be alone and miserable for the rest of eternity, and end up like those old cranky men - in other words Caius." Miranda stopped herself at the glare she was receiving from Aro.

I could help but snicker at that though, earning a glare from him as well. I held my hands up innocently flashing him a dazzling smile. He simply hummed with a smirk looking away muttering soft Italian words under his breath.

"Oh, that is just gross. I really am not keen on knowing what you're going to do to your mate in your past times, master." Miranda cringed, causing me to gain a curious look.

What did he say he was going to do that Miranda found so gross?

"Just like we're not keen on listening to you and Alexander go at 'it' in the broom closet?" Santiago questioned with a smirk.

Miranda blushed profusely at that, for once at a loss for words. "What?" Aro questioned, raising a eyebrow.

"It's nothing!" Miranda quickly got defensive, in a panicky voice.

"May I remind you that it is clearly prohibited for those activities to take place anywhere that isn't private-" Aro was cut off by Miranda. "Yes! I know!" She yelled covering he face with her hands, embarrassed.

Aro simply smirked. I laughed into my hand, earning a small grin for Aro.

"Change of subject! Frankie was asking about celebrating Christmas and I had to deliver the sad news that we didn't! What is wrong with you? All Frankie here wants to do is celebrate Christmas, and you aren't allowing it! Even poor Athenodora wants to do it, yet you evil vampires refuse it! You're poor mates!" Miranda screamed pointing at Aro, causing the smirk to fall off his face.

My mouth fell agape at that statement. I was only asking if they celebrated Christmas?

"I didn't know you wanted to celebrate Christmas! It shall be done!" Aro declared looking to me with a frown, nodding to himself.

Santiago watched the exchange, obviously having a hard time not falling into a fit of laughter.

"She also wanted to do a secret Santa!" Miranda hastily added.

"Done!" Is all Aro said.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Miranda literally just tricked Aro into celebrating Christmas, and doing a secret Santa. I wanted to laugh, all Miranda had to say was I wanted Christmas, and Aro was doing it. Goodness, this vampire spoiled me.

"Come, my sweet I want to know exactly what you desire most for Christmas." I scream of surprise escaped me as Aro effortlessly lifted me from the ground and into his arms.

Out of the corner of my eyes I could see Santiago laughing, and Miranda doing a victory dance. Suddenly the two of us were flying down the cold corridors, at sickening speeds. I simply clutched onto Aro tighter, as a smile tugged at my lips.
