FRANKENSTEIN
35 | Human.

"NOEL, you are sentenced to death, for the penalty of your crimes." Caius announced loudly, standing from his throne and walking down the grand steps.

He wore a sinister smirk as he approached the young newborn. The female newborn cried out, and attempted to run away. Alec; however, saw this coming and immediately gripped the girl tightly in his arms.

She struggled against his hold, her pink hair falling in her eyes. This newborn was odd. When she was human, her hair was colored pink; therefore, it transferred over to her immortal life leaving her hair stained a neon pink. It was obvious that because of this reason, Caius disliked her more than usual.

Unfortunately for her she held no gift, rendering her useless for the Volturi. Apparently her creator left her before she awoke, and she killed an entire bus full of people. The laws clearly state that even if the newborn doesn't know about the laws, they are still considered guilty.

The pink-haired girl let out a scream once she saw Caius getting nearer. Alec was having a hard time keeping her still, as her strength currently far surpassed his own. Jane saw this and opted to helping her twin out by using her gift on the girl. I couldn't help but look away as the girl fell to the ground screaming. The only reason I was even in here was because I had to ask Aro a question, and came in during the beginning the girl's trial.

The girl's pained scream stopped quickly, the only sound being marble clashing on the ground. Aro looked at the girl's body before shaking his head. "I feel as though creators are becoming careless when it comes to their newborns." Aro told Marcus and Caius, who had just sat back down.

I don't think anyone really noticed me walk in, as they were all pretty caught up on the girl's story when I sneaked in. Just as I was about to say something, a human woman walked in. This was a different woman from the one I saw a few weeks prior, causing me to believe the other lady met her demise.

Her heels clicked as she walked over to the grand steps leading to the thrones. Aro stood with a happy smile and clap of his hands. "Helena has brought us something." Aro said, excitedly gazing at the letter which was sat neatly on a silver platter.

"She is walking too loud." Caius sneered, obviously wanting an excuse to kill the woman.

Aro turned to him with a frown. "Brother, she was hired just this morning. Give her a few days." Aro ended the sentence smirking.

Marcus looked around in boredom, before his gaze suddenly snapped to my form leaning against the wall. Once our eyes met, I gave him an eager wave - practically bouncing in my spot. He gave a small wave back with a chuckle before looking to Aro.

Aro paid no mind to the interaction that just happened as he was too busy taking the letter from the silver platter. He kept eye contact with the human as he took the letter. As soon as he had taken it, the woman bowed her head respectfully and took a step back. He gave her a smirk, before opening the letter.

"Oh! Brother's, the Rare Winter Solstice has arrived once more!" Aro turned to his brothers, his voice chirpy.

"Thank you, Helena. You may go." Aro dismissed the human, before taking a seat back in his thrown.

"What covens will be attending this year?" Caius asked, resting his head against his palm.

"The Irish, Olympic, Denali, Egyptian, and Hong Kong?" Aro said the last part more as a question.

"We were not informed of the assembly of a new coven!" Caius angrily yelled, outraged.

"Calm brother, we can sort it out when we get there." Aro said, pausing reading over the letter. "There will be about fifteen nomads, and around thirty high-ranking humans." Aro said.

"Where are they holding it this year?" Caius questioned, taking a breath.

"Rome, so we won't need to travel too far. It's only about a four hour drive." Aro said, placing the letter in Caius's hand.

"If I may cut in, Aro your beloved has been waiting for your attention." Marcus told Aro, nodding in my direction.

Within seconds Aro was standing from his throne facing me. "My sweet! What a pleasant surprise!" He was at my side, placing a kiss on my cheek.

"Aro, hi!" I exclaimed, throwing myself in a hug at him.

He hugged back, pulling my body snug against his own. "Sorry to interrupt, but I have a question." I told him, earning a nod in reply. "What's a yeast infection?" I asked.

"Pardon?" Aro's eyes widened, fractionally at my question.

I could vaguely hear Demetri and Felix trying, but failing to keep their laughter at bay. Alec and Jane stared at me with their mouth's agape, while Caius shook his head scoffing. Marcus actually wore an amused smile, letting a small laugh escape him.

"I know it's probably not an important question, but Alexander was telling Miranda he thought she had one. I guess something about when he eats her out it smells really bad-" I was cut off, by Aro putting his hand over my mouth.

I made a surprised noise, not understanding exactly what was wrong. He looked at me with huge eyes, as he tightly covered my mouth. I gazed back innocently, making protest noises trying to get him to let go.

'Listen, you're really smart, so I figured if anyone would know what it means it's you. Miranda wouldn't tell me, and Alexander was too busy laughing to answer my question.' I thought, knowing he could hear it.

Aro looked like he wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. With a sigh, he bent down and picked me up. I yelled, but my scream was muffled as he still had his hand over my mouth. He turned back to Marcus and Caius, with a look of exasperation. "Marcus, it's your turn to decide which of the guard member's we we will be taking. Obviously Athenodora and Frankie are attending." Aro told Marcus, before turning us so we were facing Felix. "Felix if you could please check on your child, and report back to me on whether or not she needs medication for that issue."

Felix cringed before giving Aro a nod, in an instant he sped off. "I will see the rest of you later." Aro muttered, before the two of us were out of the throne room.

As soon as we were back in Aro's chambers he released me, letting my face go as well. "A yeast infection, is something I would prefer not to discuss." Aro told me, with a small bound of laughter.

"But what if I get one? How will I know I have it, if I don't know what it is!" I argued, earning a fit of laughter from Aro.

"Trust me, my sweet. If you have one, I will the be first to know, and I will inform you." Aro tried, making a deal, his tone laced with laughter.

I gave him a silly grin, nodding my head, agreeing to it. Aro had long since gotten over the me not telling him. Of course he still vowed to find out what it is, but he wasn't angry at me. A loud knock at the door suddenly made me jump.

With a sigh, Aro turned so he was facing the door. "Yes, Miranda?" He yelled, at her.

"I was invited to the party thing, so Chelsea, Frankie, and I are going shopping. We need a dress for the event!" Miranda said. "Plus, I need to pick up my medication for the yeast infection. Thanks for telling everyone by the way, Frankie." Miranda added, sarcastically.

"You wouldn't tell me what it was!" I defended myself, yelling through the door as well.

"Well, now that you know, are you happy?" She questioned, sarcastically.

"No, Aro won't tell me either." I complained.

"Oh." There was a pause. "Why haven't you told her, Aro?"

"We are not talking about this, right now! What I would like to know is who invited you?" Aro harshly yelled, still not opening the door.

"Marcus did. He invited the twins, Alexander, myself, Demetri, Felix, and Chelsea." Miranda yelled back.

"Stop screaming, you fools! How many times must I tell you we are the Volturi, not the Cullen's!" Caius's voice came from his room, across the corridor.

In an instant, Aro opened the door allowing Miranda to come in. She stepped inside with a smile.

"I don't know that it is the best idea for you to come to this event, Miranda." Aro smiled, tightly.

"Excuse me. For one, it is Marcus's decision on which guard to bring. Two, I am a great person to be around! Everyone will love me!" Miranda flipped her hair, arrogantly.

Aro simply glared at her, about to say something before I cut in. "Hi... yeah... sorry, but what is this 'event' exactly?" I asked both of them.

"Something I have been waiting my entire life to get invited to!" Miranda exclaimed, happily.

Aro only glared at her as he turned to me. "The Rare Winter Solstice is grand party event, which takes place every five years. Many of the larger vampire covens are invited to this event, as well as old nomads. Humans of high importance show up as well-"

"High importance, but I thought humans weren't allowed to know the existence of vampires?" I cut him off.

"High importance meaning people such as Shakespeare or Leonardo da Vinci-" Aro was cut off again by Miranda laughing.

"Dude, you need to update your examples! He means someone like Bill Gates or Steven Hawking." Miranda pretended to wipe a tear, turning to me.

I nodded understanding, trying not to smile at her. The look on Aro's face was priceless, it so apparent he was trying not to yell. "Do not refer to me as 'dude', Miranda." Aro attempted to give her smile, but failed comically.

It was weird listening to Aro use modern words.

"As I was saying, humans of high importance. Though those humans still know nothing of the existence of vampires. The only reason they are even their is for the purpose of not raising suspicion. The main idea of this is to form alliances, and possibly gain new members to the coven. Each time the event comes Marcus, Caius and I will take turns picking which guards to bring as our entire coven is much to large to bring." Aro gave a cocky smile at that. "Athenodora and yourself will come every time as you are our mates. However, it rotates between which guards we bring." Aro finished.

I smiled nodding, "So, that's what you were telling Marcus and Caius when you were listing off covens." I eagerly asked, earning a nod from him.

I smiled, happy that I would get to see the Cullen's soon.

"When is it?" Miranda's voice cut in.

"Three days." Aro told her sharply, earning a gasp.

"What the fuck! Why would they send it on such short notice, we need to go shopping now! Come on, Frankie!" Miranda grabbed my hand, and began pulling me out of the room.

"I swear if anything happens to her-" Aro's voice was cut off by Miranda.

"I know, I know. 'Off with your head'!" Miranda mocked, in a lower tone.

Aro only growled in reply, me giving him a small wave just as the door closed.

"And ladies. I have found my dress." Chelsea and I heard Miranda say, just as she stepped out of the dressing room.

My mouth fell agape, at how extraordinary the dress made her look. The dress itself was on the shorter side, and the bottom fell down in a tutu like fashion. The top half of it, was sleeveless and decorated with many brightly colored rhyme stones. Not a lot of people could pull off this dress, but Miranda fit it perfectly. I already knew she would grab the attention of many people with this.

"Miranda, you look gorgeous." I complimented smiling at her.

She gave me a grin back, playing with the hem the dress. "Thank you." She actually for once, seemed flustered by the comment.

Chelsea snickered at that, earning a glare from her. She held up her hands with a smile. "Honestly though, you do look wonderful. The dress suits you." Chelsea gave her a smile.

Miranda smiled, turning back to the dressing room. The three of us had used Miranda's Porsche to drive out to the mall in Florence. Miranda and Chelsea wasted no time in going into multiple little stores looking for a dress. Chelsea was invited to come this year as well, so she was extremely excited to dress up for the night.

"Your turn." I pushed Chelsea toward the store so she could search for her own outfit.

I don't know how she did it, but within five minutes of looking she was back with a dress in her hands. At that moment Miranda walked out of the dressing room, dress in hand. She looked to Chelsea's dress with big eyes.

"That was fast." She commented, looking at her dress.

Chelsea only smirked walking into her dressing room. While she was changing, Miranda gave in and explained what a yeast infection was.

"Really, that sounds so painful." I said, looking down at her clothed vagina for a second.

"It is." Miranda nodded, sighing sadly.

"I didn't even know vampires could get that."

"They can't, but since I'm only half, apparently I'm still exposed to world of vaginal issues."

"That's terrible!" I placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Yeah, but hey! At least I can still have kids!" Miranda happily sighed.

"True, hey on that topic. I heard that you and Alexander just had your wedding like a few weeks ago." I said, slightly sad I had missed it. "You wouldn't happen to have any pictures?" I said, hopefully.

"Oh my gosh, yes! We can go through them later tonight! We even have a wedding video!" Miranda gushed, the two of us laughing together.

It was funny, because in some ways Miranda reminded me of Nessie.

"I look hot." Chelsea's voice interrupted as she walked out.

Her dress was sleeveless as well, but looked nothing like Miranda's. It stopped mid-thigh, and was skinny. There was no color adorning it, just pure black. She had chosen a pair of high black heels, to accompany the dress - as well as a black-jeweled necklace. Chelsea was right, the only way to describe how she looked was 'hot'.

"Chelsea, you better buy that dress." Miranda said, nodding at Chelsea's figure.

"She's correct. You look stunning." I said, with a large smile.

She smiled back with just as much enthusiasm . "I know we agreed to do shoes after, but I saw these and couldn't resist. I think they look priceless, what do you two think?" She brought her leg up, gazing longingly at the heel.

"I think you were right to go with your gut, I doubt we'll find a better shoe anywhere else." Miranda agreed, me only nodding at her.

"Okay, I'm going to change back. You go find a dress, Frankie." Chelsea said playfully turning back in the changing stall.

"She's right, let's go." Miranda yanked me up, pulling me in the direction of more dresses. "You go that way, I'll go this way. We are finding you the perfect dress." Miranda told me, before darting off in the opposite direction.

I mean she seriously darted. Like she was full on sprinting down the isle. I watched her run with a raised eyebrows, before turning in the direction of the dresses. In a bored manner I walked through the isle, none really catching my attention.

I wanted to look good for this event. It was obviously important to Aro by the way he spoke of it. In his mind it was probably another way to show off his grand coven, and recruit more members. I was also extremely excited to see the Cullen's, I would be able to catch up with them all about the last two months.

As my thoughts drifted, I lost focus on finding a dress. That was until a certain red fabric caught my eye. Placed delicately on a mannequin, was a simple short red dress. Though, simple was not the correct word. It didn't have any rhyme stones, or sparkles, but it did have it's own beauty. The straps went around the neck, and the bottom flowed out elegantly.

I hummed thoughtfully, picking at the soft fabric. In my mind, I would be able to pair this with some black stockings and converse. I know, not the normal pairings, but I was not about to try and wear heels again. Plus, I really don't think it'd look that bad.

Quickly, I looked to the rack of identical red dresses next to the mannequin and picked out the one in my size. Once it was in my hands, I began making my way to the changing rooms. On my way there, I saw Miranda shifting through racks of dresses with a determined look.

"Miranda!" I shouted, successfully gaining her attention.

She turned to look at me, but grinned when she saw the clothing gathered in my arms. She raced over, and looked at the clothing. "Yep, this is definitely you. Go try it on." She pushed me in the direction of the changing rooms.

I wasted no time in changing into the dress, unable to keep a smile back at how it looked on me. I probably sounded very full of myself, but it really did look gorgeous on me. I gave a little twirl in front of the mirror, enjoying how it felt around my body. I couldn't help but think this dress looked better on me than the one for the opera did.

As I stepped out of the dressing room, I was greeted with the positive faces of Miranda and Chelsea. Miranda nodded with a smile, the both of them turning to look at each other. "Yes." They said in unison.

"You look better in that, than the one for the opera. And that's saying something considering you looked like a goddess in that." Miranda said, earning a nod from Chelsea in return.

I only blushed, thanking them. After I changed out of the clothes, we all went to pay for the dresses. Shoe's came after that. Trust me when I say there was a lot of shoes, and when I say a lot, I mean Miranda trying on over thirty pairs.

Eventually, she settled for a nice pair of white stilettos, Chelsea already having her black heels. They both tried convincing me to get a pair of stilettos as well, but I was stubborn with my idea of converse. Surprisingly, after I tried on a pair a white converse they approved stating they could see it. They also agreed that it would look nice with stockings to top it all off.

I was nose to nose with a curious anomaly. At first I suspected I was nose to nose with a mirror; however, this theory was proven incorrect when I tilted my head to the right and the copy of myself didn't do
