FRANKENSTEIN
31 | Bubblegum Bitch.

"THREE days?" I whimper pathetically, worry lacing my tone.

Aro was going away for the weekend to interrogate the Irish coven. Apparently the new member they have is gifted, making Aro curious about them. They asked the Irish coven to come here, but since they haven't broken any laws they have the right to refuse. Which they did. Now, Aro is taking Jane, Santiago, Demetri, Renata, and Chelsea with him down to Ireland to meet this new member.

I know I had only been with Aro for a little over two months, but that was enough time for me to grow very used to his presence. Especially since I'd never been in the castle without him. I was now used to having him lay next to me for a majority of the night, and seeing him when he wasn't in court. This mate bond made it so I was somewhat overly attached to him. These heightened emotions did nothing to help it either, it only made it worse if anything.

Aro stared down at me with slightly guilt ridden eyes. I was holding the edge of his long cape tightly. Aro was dressed in something similar to what I had first seen him in two months ago when he first arrived. It seemed like so long, yet in reality it was only nine weeks.

"Yes, I promise I'll try to be quick." Aro placed his hand on my cheek. "It's only three days, we'll manage." He gave me a smile.

Tears swelled in my eyes and I began sniffling. "No, no, no, don't cry, mio caro." He wiped my cheeks.

"I'm sorry." I sniffled, not understanding why this had me so worked up.

"Shh, it's okay. I'll be back soon." He pulled me against his cold body, in a hug.

I savored the hug, burying my head in his chest. We stood like that just embracing each other, until Demetri knocked on the door saying the car was ready. We pulled away, me wiping my tears away as I gave him a reassuring smile.

"Please be safe." I whispered, as he gripped my hands in his own.

"I promise." He muttered kissing the tips of my knuckles lightly.

Goosebumps rose on my arms as his cold lips ghosted over the skin. Gently, he grabbed my cheeks and pulled me in for a chaste kiss. My lips moved against his own, in synchronization. Sooner rather than later he had to pull away.

"Take care of yourself, and stay safe. Goodness please stay safe." Aro added the last part hastily, his eyes widening. I giggled lightly at that, nodding with a small smile. "Don't be afraid to approach Caius or Marcus, do not leave the castle, and if you could possibly stray clear of Miranda and Alexander that would be much appreciated." I couldn't stop myself from laughing at the last one.

"Why?" I questioned bemusedly.

"Because they are terrible influences." Aro groaned rubbing his face. "They certainly were not what I had in mind when I wanted hybrids ten years ago." He muttered shaking his head, earning a loud snort from me.

"That's mean." I laughed, rolling my eyes at him.

"But you do find it amusing." Aro smirked.

"I do." I admitted, earning a laugh from Aro.

"Okay, don't let me keep you." I stole a quick kiss from him, pushing him toward the door.

The quicker he left, the sooner he'd be back.

"I love you, mio caro." Aro kissed my head. "I love you so much." He said again kissing my nose.

"I love you too. Now, go because the sooner you leave, the sooner you'll be back. And the sooner you're back, the sooner we can watch 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'!" I exclaimed suddenly excited.

"You are one of the most excitable people I know." Aro tittered amused at my actions. "I'll be back soon, stay safe my love." Is the last thing Aro said, before he fled the room.

A sigh escaped me at his lack of presence. I would be fine it was only three days. I nodded to myself letting a smile slip past my lips believing, I would truly be fine.

~

A sob escaped my lips as I dramatically lay sprawled our on Aro's huge bed. I wasn't fine. I most definitely was not fine. It had been a day since Aro left. At first it simply felt like he was in court, but then after around seven hours a large gaping pain in my chest began. It physically hurt for Aro to be so far away.

"My life is over!" I wailed, covering my tear stained face with the long sleeves of my sweat shirt.

I was a hot-mess. My hair was pulled up into a terrible bun, and I wore nothing other than a sweats. I sniffled taking another bite of the Snickers chocolate bar I had snagged from the kitchen. I learned from the television that chocolate was the answer to sadness. If it was the answer, then why wasn't it working!

"This has been going on for the past three hours, Frankie." My head snapped to Miranda who held a conflicted look on her features. "Aro told me to stay away from you while he was away, but looking at the shape you're in. I would say that giving you a bit of friendly comfort is A-okay." Miranda shrugged strolling into the room.

"I don't understand why this is affecting me so much!" I sighed in exasperation, another wave of sadness hitting me full swing.

"Generally with new mates they shouldn't really be separated for very long until around five months, you know to get used to the mating pull and stuff. Also you mentioned your emotions are heightened, correct?" Miranda questioned, raising a brow.

I meekly nodded, wiping my wet cheeks. Miranda was serving as a momentary distraction from all the sadness and pain.

"Well, that's probably another factor. So, yeah this is a pretty normal reaction." Miranda spoke lightheartedly. "Now, come on get ready for the day. I'm not just gonna let you sit and mope around." Miranda stood with a clap.

A quick shower and change of clothes later, the two of us were heading down to Felix's room. Aro had brought Santiago instead of Felix this time around. My newfound ponytail swung as I walked, eyes darting around the corridor.

"Why did Aro bring Santiago instead of Felix?" I asked Miranda, as the two of us made our way through the castle.

"Santiago hasn't been out on a field mission for a few months, so Aro wanted to be 'fair' and give him a turn." Miranda put emphasize on the word 'fair'.

I laughed a little at that. Aro's way of thinking was quite funny sometimes. "What's Felix even doing?"

"I don't know my dad and Demetri are like partners in crime, I would even think they were gay if my dad and Heidi weren't going at it all the time." Miranda cringed, and I snickered. "Without Demetri here to hang out with him he'd go to Heidi, but Heidi's on court duty, so then he'd go to Chelsea, but Chelsea's also gone. Long story short everyone's either gone or busy so he came to me asking to play x-box with him. Can you believe that? He goes to his own daughter last." Miranda spoke as if she were offended.

"How about Alexander? What about me!" I said the last part slightly offended, realizing Felix didn't come to me at all.

Miranda laughed at that. "He'd never go to Alexander, and he was going to go to you, but he heard you crying and didn't want to make it worse apparently." Miranda shrugged.

Soon we came upon Felix's room, and entered. The large vampire sat on a huge couch, in front a flat screen television. This was probably the first television I had seen in the castle so far. Felix's room was interesting. It was decorated in a very modern-style, almost looking like an upper class apartment.

"Yes." Felix screamed, pressing buttons on the Xbox remote furiously watching as his character shot and killed dozens of people.

"Aw boo. We don't want to play Call of Duty, turn it to Trials Fusion dad." Miranda complained pulling me along with her to sit next to Felix.

Seeing Miranda and Felix sit side-by-side they truly did look alike. I had always thought Miranda looked like Felix, but I never really saw just how much she truly did.

"Hey Frankie." Felix gave me a goofy grin waving. "I'm glad you're feeling better." He said referring to earlier.

I blushed red at that, awkwardly scratching the back of my head. Miranda elbowed Felix's stomach delivering him a small glare. "Yeah, how about we not mention that to Aro." I spoke.

Felix and Miranda simultaneously looked each other in the eye, before turning to me. "We're telling him." They told me together.

"What! Why?" I narrowed my eyes, my mouth falling open.

"Because it's fun making Aro feel guilty, I mean he was already feeling terrible when he left." Miranda picked at her bright-red nail polish.

"Yeah, that." Felix smiled.

I scoffed at the reason, not agreeing with that at all.

"You guy's are horrible people." I shook my head, trying to contain a laugh.

"Welcome to the Volturi, honey." Miranda smirked at me.

Felix snickered and I rolled my eyes at her.

"Here, the game's ready." Felix handed the two of us remotes so we could play the game.

I looked at the little option we could choose as rides. There was a lot, some of these including a four wheeler, motorcycle, and a unicorn being rode by a cat.

"Oh, come on." Felix complained, seeing Miranda had taken the motorcycle and I the four wheeler, leaving him with the unicorn.

"Sorry dad, be quicker next time." Miranda said, earning a scowl and small shove from him in return.

Miranda and Felix both yelled in complaint once I had won the game once more. This would be our eighth round, and I had won every single one of them.

"This isn't fair!" Felix shouting in protest, Miranda backing him up.

"Sorry I'm a winner, and not a loser like you two." I laughed at them.

They both began protesting at that, demanding for a rematch. I only stood with a cocky smirk, making my way to the door.

"Hey Miranda?" I said, in a questioning tone once I got to the door.

With a breath of relief, she looked to me. "Yes?" She said, raising a brow.

"Remember the time I beat you and Felix on Xbox, eight times in a row?" I pulled the door open darting out, hearing her and Felix cuss at me.

"Screw you! I'll win next time!" Miranda screamed just as I closed the door on her.

I made my way to Aro's chamber, laughing to myself. Suckers.

"So, you and Dr. Carson are still working at the facility?" I said to Carlisle over the phone.

"Yeah, we still have all the blood samples we collected over the months as well as past graphs. We're now studying how you've changed over the months, and how much you're blood really differs from other people's." Carlisle told me over the line.

"Interesting." I hummed, tossing myself into the couch. "So, how is everyone?" I said, slightly worried.

"We all miss you, it's not the same without you. Laura barely even speaks to Patrick anymore." Carlisle told me in a slightly sad tone.

I sighed softly feeling a pang in my chest. As much as I loved Aro, and the others around the castle - I still missed the Cullens. They were as much of my family as the Volturi now are.

"Are you all relocating anytime soon?" I asked.

"Yeah, they're thinking by March they're going to transfer us somewhere in Wyoming. They're building the new facility up there now, all the workers from here are required to move." Carlisle said softly.

"Oh, is anyone in your family upset that they need to move so soon?"

"No, we weren't here long enough for any ties to really be made."

"Does Dr. Carson have any idea when he's bringing me back?" I asked the question that's been at the top of my mind, in a sad tone. I didn't really want to go back.

"He say's it needs to at least be a year before he brings you back, long enough so that you won't be compromised again. But - I don't know, Frankie, this is the Volturi we are talking about. Aro won't let you leave - he'll destroy the entirety of the facility before he ever let's you go. I'm still trying to consider our options, but when the time comes that they want you back - I have no idea what to do." Carlisle sighed in obvious frustration.

"It'll all work out I'm sure." I tried reassuring my father figure. "Besides, SHARE doesn't even know where I am exactly."

"Yeah, but they know you're somewhere close to Florence, plus if it came down to it, they have the capability of tracking you through that chip. The only reason they don't know your whereabouts exactly is because they're taking precaution in case an enemy was to attempt to torture the answer of your location out of one of them." Carlisle paused, seemingly  about to tell me something important.

"Carlisle, what is it?" I gently asked.

"That chip; Frankie, I underestimated it's capability by a long shot. I also think I trusted Carson too much. I believe there is something major which he's not telling me, not only that but that chip, god that chip Frankie. We were mapping out an x-ray scan photo we had of your brain the other day, we now know for sure that chip is holding you back. Carson has another theory, a theory that if that chip were too be switched off completely, your brain would go haywire, basically meaning all your memories would be recovered - and abilities we never thought possible could be unlocked." Carlisle admitted in a slightly worried tone.

"My memories?" I said, my voice soft - full of shock.

"It's just a theory, but yes. Essentially your memories." Carlisle stated. "But again, it wouldn't only be your memories. It'd have so many uncharted and unknown effects." Carlisle breathed in stress. "I don't know, things around the facility have been stressful since the attack." I could hear the strain in his voice.

"I'm sure it'll get better Carlisle, I promise." I said, my voice certain.

I could hear Carlisle chuckle. "Always so positive."

Just as I was about to reply, a loud knock was heard at the door. "Athenodora wants us at her tower!" Alexander yelled from the other side of the door. "She said to hurry up!" Alexander added after a second.

With a sigh, I turned my attention back to the phone. "Who was that?" Carlisle questioned, his voice laced with confusion.

"Alexander." I evenly replied, but suddenly remembered the Cullen's didn't know who Miranda and Alexander were. "Long story short after the semi-battle with you guys ten years ago, Aro sent Demetri and Felix out to impregnate human women. The two women died after giving birth to the children. Demetri ended up with a son - which is who you just heard; Alexander. Felix ended up with a daughter; Miranda. Ironically they are both mates to each other, and are married."

"Seriously?" Carlisle gasped. "I should've figured Aro would want a hybrid as well." Carlisle sighed in vexation. "Anyway, I'll let you go, it sounds like you're needed." He chuckled earning a small laugh from me.

"Okay bye, I'll talk to you soon." I got a 'goodbye' from Carlisle before hanging up the phone.

Tossing my phone on the dresser, I stood and walked to the door. Opening it, I revealed Alexander leaning against the door frame a look of exasperation painted on his face. "I don't appreciate you telling my life-story, you know." He said snidely, causing me to scoff and roll my eyes at him.

"Oh, don't act as if you don't enjoy the extra attention. You are your father's son after all." I spoke, earning a loud laugh from him at the last part.

~

"Can I please have an explanation as to how Miranda, you" Dora paused pointing to Alexander, before turning to me pointing "and you set a fire to the kitchen?" She asked at a slight loss for words.

"We were baking Christmas breakfast." Alexander states, causing me to look at him incredulously.

"No, we were baking dinner." I said confused.

"Um... no actually we were making breakfast." He rose an eyebrow at me, equally as confused.

"Nope, I can guarantee you it was dinner." I argued, crossing my arms.

"Well, there's the problem there, the two haven't a clue what it was you were even cooking!" Dora smiled, barking a laugh.

"That's beside the point! We would have cooked an amazing meal, if it wasn't for my mate pouring olive oil into a greasy pan!" Alexander exclaimed, sourly saying the word mate.

"Sometimes I can't believe the two of you are married?" I shook my head with a laugh.

"Ha! I can!" Dora shook her head falling into a hysterical fit of laughter.

I looked at her in confusion, while Alexander only turned a bright pink scratching the back of his neck - obviously knowing what it was Dora was laughing about.

"What is it?" I asked her, causing her to turn her head to me with light eyes.

"You know how myself and Sulpicia when she was alive - practically raised the two of them in place of their mothers, correct?" She asked.

I nodded remembering Aro telling me they had taken on the rolls of mothers.

"Well, ever since they could talk the two of them of them were mad about each other. We all expected them to grow out of it, thinking it was simply a phase of their childhood - and they'd see the other as a sibling. That was most definitely not the case, as at their physical age of fourteen - the two decided it was in their best interest to loose their virginity with each other." Dora delivered a harsh glare to Alexander while saying this. He only looked down in embarrassment at the story.

"Fourteen!" I yelled, finding the age so young.

"I know! Everyone was livid, especially Felix! It took just about half the guard to stop him from killing Alexander! I myself was enraged at the two, and found myself screaming at them for two hours non-stop. After I was finished Sulpicia took charge and went at them for three hours!" Dora laughed at the memory.

"How did you all find out?" I questioned.

"Well, us vampires have immensely good hearing, and a broom-closet right outside the throne room was not the smartest way to go about it." Dora scoffed, looking at Alexander who was covering his face. "I mean Chelsea and Heidi found them just as they were in the middle of having sex, everyone in the throne room could hear them-" Dora was cut off by Alexander.

"Enough!" He yelled, throwing his hands in the air.

"Well, if you didn't want these conversations, you shouldn't have lost your virginity at fourteen!"

"I'm sorry, it was a heat of the moment thing!" He yelled in frustration.

"I hardly call having a fifteen-minute discussion about why 'this is a good idea' before actually going at it a heat of the moment thing." Dora said flatly, causing a loud laugh to erupt from me.

"Ha, ha, ha! You two talked about for fifteen-minutes!" I fell into hysterics at the horrified look he yelled.

"You all could hear us?" He asked, his face morphing into a terrified look.

"Oh yes, the only reason we even let you start was because we thought for sure you'd stop. As soon as we realized you actually did it!" Dora cut herself off, shaking her head.

"Oh my god." He muttered in a horrified tone, covering his face.

"I do love our discussions, Dora. We should do it more often." I smiled at her with a smirk.

"I agree, we must do this
