BANG. BANG.

I looked down to see no bullet holes, but my heart stopped when I saw Winter laying on the porch with blood oozing out of two bullet holes. Her eyes were open, but her breathing was shallow and short.

She jumped in front of me. She saved my life.

"Winter!" I said, getting on my knees. I placed my hands on the wounds. She winced in pain.

Blood was getting all over me, but I didn't care.

"Campbell, come on, we have to go," Brent said, trying to pull me away from her.

"I can't leave her!" I exclaimed as Brent wrapped arms around my waist. He hoist me up, and he dragged me into the house where the boys were at.

Tears were streaming down my face, and I wiped them away. The boys were upset, and I felt guilty. This is all my fault.

"Oh, Campbell! You better come out or I'm coming in!" Malcom yelled, making me flinch.

I carefully looked out of the window to see him pacing back and forth in the front yard.

"We need to get to the garage now," I said, sniffling.

"How? The garage door opens up with electricity, and we don't have that. The only way to open it is by the outside," Elliot said, wiping a tear away.

"Check the phones," I said before looking at my phone.

No Service.

"Shit," I mumbled, furiously.

"What are we going to do?" Micheal asked, scared.

We were silent, thinking of an idea. But we all knew that there was nothing we can do.

"What about that cop that sitting outside? Where is he?" Gavin asked.

"With the storm, there is probably a lot of car crashes or trees falling down because he's not here," Gaberial said, looking out the window carefully.

We fell back into silence.

"I'm coming in!" Malcom yelled before hitting the door.

"Come on," Elliot whispered.

We followed him to the sliding door leading out to the backyard. It was raining now extremely hard. Elliot put a finger up to his mouth, and we nodded.

"All we have to do is jump this fence," Elliot said as we stood before a tall fence.

We heard the front door being slammed open, and we quickly nodded. Elliot helped Micheal up first then the twins. Nick jumped over the fence, leaving Elliot, Brent, and me.

Before we could get over the fence, a bullet went flying past us, and it hit the fence. We looked back to see Malcom walking down the steps.

"Nick, run with the twins and Micheal. Get help!" Elliot yelled before we ran away from the fence.

Malcom shot at us again, but he missed as we took cover in the shed. Elliot locked the door, and we used the flashlight on our phones to find something to defend ourselves with.

I grabbed a lead pipe while Brent grabbed a baseball bat and Elliot grabbed a hammer.

Not the best of weapons, but this is all we have.

"Oh, Campbell! Come out wherever you're hiding!" Malcom yelled over the rain.

The door knob jiggled, making us flinch away from the door. I held my mouth, trying not to make a noise.

Then he was gone. We let out a breath of relief, but that didn't last long. Elliot laid his back on the other side of the door, holding his hammer.

Then the door burst open. Brent and I crouched down by the lawnmower so Malcom couldn't see us. Malcom walked in the shed, looking around. Once Elliot was behind him, he raised the hammer up, and he hit Malcom with the hammer.

"Shit!" Malcom yelled as he fell to the floor. He held his head in his hand.

"Go!" Elliot yelled, making Brent and  jump up. All three of us ran to the fence. Elliot jumped over the fence along with Brent. I went to climb the fence when I was tackled to the ground.

My back landed on the ground, hard. Malcom was on top of me, and I kneed him in the ribs. He got off of me, and I quickly got up. The gun wasn't in his hand. Instead it was by the bush a couple feet away. He saw the gun too, and he got up quickly before I go for it.

"Campbell!" Brent yelled, trying to get over the fence but it was too slippery.

"You stupid bitch! You're so dead!" Malcom yelled over the rain.

I quickly ran over to the gun, but Malcom grabbed my hair. He pulled back, and I elbowed him in the face. He threw me on the ground, and I hit my head on a stone that Lisa had put out for decorations.

Blood dripped down my face, and my vision was going in and out. I groaned as I turned over. Malcom smirked before kicking me in the ribs three times with his foot. I heard a few of them crack.

Tears built up in my eyes from the pain, but I didn't let them fall. I held my ribs as they throbbed.

Malcom walked over to the gun, and he picked it off of the ground. He walked over to me, and he pointed the gun at me.

"Finally. The moment I have been waiting for," Malcom said, pushing his foot down on my ribs.

"Aah!" I screamed in pain as my ribs throbbed.

"Goodbye, Campbell," Malcom said with an evil smile.

"Go to hell," I said, bitterly. He laughed darkly.

He started to press the trigger, and I closed my eyes for the impact.

BANG.

I didn't feel no pain, but I felt a swift of wind. I heard grunts coming a few feet away from me.

I opened my eyes to see that Malcom was on the ground unconscious. Brent was on top of him, reeling his hand back from the punches he gave Malcom.

Brent stood up, and he got away from Malcom. He turned around, and I slowly got up from the ground.

Then that's when I saw it.

I looked at Brent's stomach where dark red blood was oozing through his shirt. Brent looked down, and he touched the bullet wound.

He looked back at me before his legs buckled underneath him. He fell to the ground, and I ran over to him. Everything was numb physical and mentally.

I placed my hand on his bullet wound as tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Brent, why would you tackle somebody with a gun?" I cried as more blood oozed out of the wound.

"S-Shouldn't y-you be t-thanking me?" Brent stuttered as he winced in pain.

"Brent! Campbell!" Elliot yelled as he ran over to us.

His eyes widen when he saw what was going on. He was on his knees, helping me with putting pressure on the wound.

Brent's eyelids start to get heavy and I shook my head.

"Don't you close your eyes, Brent. Don't you leave me," I said as everything was getting dizzy.

"I-I l-love you, p-princess," Brent said, making me shake my head.

"Don't say that. You're going to be fine, okay? Help is on the way," Elliot said as a few tears escaped his eyes.

We were soaked in blood and rain, but we were focused on Brent. I heard sirens in the distance, but my vision was going in and out again.

I felt weak. My eyelids started to get heavy, and there was ringing in my ears.

"Campbell?!" Was the last thing I heard before passing out.
