We had reached Islamabad in the afternoon and instantly checked into one of the rooms in Ahad's hotel there. Ahad had asked me to take out his suit for today so I did that while he showered, washing off all the fatigue from driving for that long. After Ahad left for his work, I had a nice long shower under the hot water setting. The hotel was great, and I did not doubt that it would be, but I didn't understand what could cause someone to file a lawsuit against Ahad when all the branches were very convenient. Deciding not to let that bother me for long, I called Sarah. We hadn't talked in a while and she understood because I was a newlywed woman. We had gone days without talking after her wedding too. I called her and she immediately changed it into a video call.

"I haven't seen you in forever!" She groaned but excitedly smiled at me. No one could match her energy sometimes.

"No greetings, Mrs Faisal?" I knew the girl was crazily in love so whenever had to tease her, I called her Mrs Faisal and she always blushed.

"God, you need to stop teasing me! But at least I've got something to tease you with now, Mrs Ahad." She sneakily smiled and I held back the urge to blush, I would not be giving her the satisfaction. "Anyway, how is the married life treating you?" She asked seriously.

"Everything's been going great so far except for a few days in between where I basically didn't see my husband at all! He left too early for work and came back too late." I frowned.

"Oh no, babes, don't worry though. I'm sure it was just work." She reassured.

"No, I didn't doubt him for a second but I did wish I'd see him more."

"Well, is he at work right now, too? Faisal isn't home either so I thought we could meet. It would cheer you up and I had to talk to you about something too." She looked away shyly and I sort of had an idea on what she might be implying but I didn't let it show and ruin her moment.

"I can't meet you right now, Sarah. I'm in Islamabad actually. Ahad had work to do so we decided to come together like a little, you know... honeymoon." I bit my lip as she squealed, freaking squealed!

"Oh my God! Finally! Will I soon get mini yous around? I can't wait to be a khala!" The girl thought too far, I swear.

*khala: mother's sister

"Chill out, we haven't even kissed yet and I don't think I want children now. I'm not even sure if I love Ahad yet though I am getting there. Can't say anything about him." I rubbed the back of my neck as she smirked.

"Okay, okay. I get it. But, Nawal, I think I might be pregnant... I've got really bad morning sickness for the past few days and Faisal has helped me throughout but the guy is so clueless that sometimes I can't believe he's a doctor. And my mother-in-law has been bugging me about it too because it has been more than a year since our marriage. This will shut her up. I'm actually excited, to be honest. Faisal and I love each other so I can't wait to start a family with him." She ranted everything and I watched her with a small smile on my face. I thought if I'd ever feel the same things as she does and I was truly very happy for her.

"Sarah, I'm so happy for you! Tell me once it's confirmed, okay? I can wait because I know you'd want to tell Faisal bhai first but I must be second, alright?"

"Of course, I'm thinking of getting a test today. I haven't decided how to tell him, whatever the results are, but I'll figure something out. I really wish you were here right now but have fun on your honeymoon, okay?" She wished me well and we both cut the call. I fell back on the bed with a sigh and thought if I was really falling for Ahad. He was a sweet, kind, and handsome man, and most of all, my husband, so I didn't doubt that I'd eventually fall in love with him. I just hoped that whenever it happened, he'd reciprocate my feelings.

My heart was at peace now so I decided to get some writing done. I had ordered room service earlier and had lunch and Ahad had called to ask if I needed anything. He apologized for being at work for this long but explained that he was just trying to get done with it as soon as possible so we could spend the rest of the stay together. As he said earlier, he was definitely more uptight here than he was in Lahore. He wore a proper suit with a tie and cufflinks too while he ignored the details when he went to work in Lahore. I analyzed that it must've been that everyone at work there knew him very well but here he had impressions to make and show to that client of his that he wasn't joking about this business.

I sat in the balcony on a lounge chair with my laptop placed on my lap as I worked. Big, masculine hands wrapped around my eyes, blinding my vision, as I smiled.

"Guess who?" Ahad sang in a high pitch voice that made me break out into laughter has he removed his hands from my eyes. I placed my laptop on the table, forgetting to shut it off, and hugged him. He returned the hug with one of his arms.

"Good evening, jaan." He wished as he squeezed me to his side and I mumbled the words back. He bent down and tried to read what I was writing and I hurriedly shut off my laptop and closed it.

"You aren't allowed to read that!" I reprimanded.

"Why not? Do you write your fantasies about me in there?" He teasingly raised an eyebrow and smirked.

"Oh God, Ahad! What the hell?!" I was too shy to look at him so I just buried my head in his chest that rumbled when he laughed at my behavior.

"Come on, let's go out for dinner." He walked us inside with his hand still wrapped around my shoulder.

"Aren't you tired though? We can just order dinner and have it in our room after your long day." I suggested as I looked up at him.

"Nah, I'm never too tired for food... Or you." He winked at me flirtatiously and I smacked his arm playfully while blushing, of course.

We had left the hotel where many employees, if not all, greeted Ahad and I and we nodded in return. It really felt like my own celebrity moment. I didn't know much about Islamabad as I wasn't a resident from here but Ahad seemed to know his way around here quite well. He took us to a restaurant named 1969 and it was a beautiful place. It had an outdoor dining area in the garden with fairy lights all around and an indoor dining area with chairs and couches, making it more comfortable. We agreed on sitting outside, to enjoy the weather and the scenery. The menu had a wide variety of cuisines but we stuck to Pakistani food. While waiting, I took out my phone and clicked pictures of our surroundings and sneaked in a few pics of my very good-looking husband too in his three-piece suit while he typed away on his phone.

"Don't think that I don't know what you're doing, jaan." He informed me without looking up from his phone and I put my phone aside. "Do you want me to take pictures of you?" He offered as my eyes widened.

"You'd really do that?!" I exclaimed as I got up from my seat and stood under a tree that was decorated with fairy lights.

"It would be good for the memories." He said as he stood across me and clicked pictures from different angles like he was greatly experienced in the matter. He walked over to me and I thought it was to show me the pictures until he flipped the camera and started taking pictures with me. We held up half hearts to complete one heart together, showed the victory sign and I even leaned up to kiss his cheek as he took the pictures. He called a waiter over and requested him to click a few pictures of us together before our dinner was served. The dishes looked mouth-watering and tasted even better.

"Judging from your face, I think you like the food?" He smirked at me as he ate.

"Yep, it's heavenly. By the way, I have a question to ask, if you don't mind..." I uncertainly said.

"Shoot." He said as he put a spoon full of rice in his mouth and poured water for both of us in our fancy glasses.

"You seem to know Islamabad really well. Is there a reason for that or do you just memorize the map of every place you go to?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Mom and dad lived in Islamabad for a few years after I was born since both their families lived here too. We visit every year almost twice to visit my grandparents so I know my way around here well. I don't really like most of my relatives from my dad's side because of how narrow minded they are, as you must've guessed after meeting Asiya phupho that day so I didn't plan to meet them on this trip with you. We could go and meet my grandparents though, they're sweet. They moved to Lahore since dad had already been working there before his marriage to mom." He explained to me and I thoughtfully nodded.

"That's why you aren't like a typical Lahori guy," I told him.

"I basically told you my whole life story and that's what you have to say?!" He stated, bewildered and I just shrugged in response.

Once we were done with dinner, we drove around the city for a while before returning back to the hotel, ending the night.
