There was something particularly exciting about the way Jeongguk was leading them further into the woods.

Anyone else would have gotten worried or cautious of an alpha like him taking him away from civilization but Taehyung could not help feeling calm.

He was not sure whether his own wolf had convinced itself that he was safe with Jeongguk or if it was the male releasing calming pheromones along the way.

The omega was too busy taking in his surroundings as he followed closely behind Jeongguk that he failed to realize there was a large stone set in place before him.

A gasp left his lips as he stumbled forward, eyes closed shut as he prepared for the impact on the ground but to his surprise that never came.

In a flash Jeongguk was turning around, eyes calculating as they zeroed in on Taehyung falling forward, hands reaching out in time to pull him against his chest.

Taehyung let out a shaky breath as he blinked furiously, a sigh of relief leaving his lips.

"Careful," Jeongguk murmured as he slowly pulled Taehyung away enough to look at his face.

"Are you alright?" His brows furrowed as he cupped Taehyung's face and searched for any wound.

Taehyung's face burned scarlet as he nodded his head, shyly reaching up to grab at Jeongguk's wrists.

"Thank you," he mumbled before Jeongguk was retracing his hands from his face.

The alpha suddenly exhaled loudly as he looked at his surroundings, making the omega follow suit.

They were in the middle of a clearing in the woods, it was beautiful and serene.

Taehyung could hear birds chirping nearby as he turned around in circles, awed look on his face.

The sun rays were peaking behind the tall trees, cool breeze touching his face as he closed his eyes momentarily.

"It's so beautiful out here," he commented softly, eyes turning to Jeongguk who was already staring at him.

He was wearing a casual grey t-shirt with some fancy logo on it and some black joggers, hands in his pockets as he shook his fluffy hair out of his eyes.

It was still early, probably about seven in the morning by the time they made it out to the woods.

Jeongguk had asked Taehyung if he was sure he wanted to come along and the omega had nodded eagerly.

And so when Jeongguk began to pull at the hem of his shirt, Taehyung let out a soft squeak as he turned to look elsewhere.

He watched as Jeongguk took several steps back, making him instinctively step closer before Jeongguk was speaking up. 

"Don't- stay back." 

I don't want to hurt you.

Taehyung immediately paused, nodding in understanding before gulping harshly in anxiousness.

He watched as Jeongguk's shirt and joggers came off, eyes taking in his toned body as Jeongguk stopped there.

Taehyung couldn't help growing upset at the fact that the male had not gotten completely naked before blushing furiously and mentally scolded himself for such thoughts.

He blinked furiously when Jeongguk's face began to show concentration, veins on his forehead bulging as his breathing picked up.

When Taehyung heard the first bone twist with a sickening crack he was screaming, eyes wide in shock and fear before instinctively taking a step forward.

Jeongguk immediately looked up at the sudden movement, blood red eyes focused on him as another limb broke painfully.

"Don't come closer-!" He growled lowly, demanding tone in his voice.

Taehyung helplessly nodded at the alpha's command, plump bottom lip between his teeth.

He felt like he could throw up at the sight of Jeongguk's limbs breaking one by one, suddenly wishing he had not agreed to see the transformation.

It pained his heart to see his mate hunched over in pain, grunts leaving his lips as sweat dripped down his forehead.

Taehyung did not even realize the moment he began to cry as he watched Jeongguk's body begin to look more animal than human.

Canines elongated and claws that of a wolf, hair sprouting from his body as he laid on the ground in pain.

Taehyung shut his eyes tightly as tears fell down his cheeks, a soft sob stumbling from his lips as he wished for it to be over.

He did not want to see his strong alpha in such pain, he could not bear the sight of it.

A shiver crawled up his spine as a loud snarl ripped through the air, eyes shooting open to see an abnormally large grey wolf standing in Jeongguk's place.

Its eyes were familiar, a blood red shade as he growled at Taehyung, teeth bared as the omega let out a frightened shriek and cowered into himself.

Taehyung was not sure what to do, eyes panicked as the wolf eyed him with a predatory glint in it's eyes.

"A-Alpha?" He sniffled quietly, voice trembling as he eyed the wolf.

He stared at the wolf cautiously as he slowly laid on the ground on his back, neck exposed as he willingly submitted to his mate.

He jumped in surprise when a wet snout began to sniff at his clothed cock, cheeks burning before Jeongguk moved towards his stomach.

He laid stiffly as the wolf slowly sniffed it's way up his body, cold snout against his scent gland as it focused on his mate mark.

Taehyung yelped as its wet tongue licked at the mark, clearly now recognizing Taehyung as his mate.

Tingles shot up his body at the sensation, body already recognizing Jeongguk's touch.

He began to slowly sit up only when the alpha pulled away, huffing softly to let him know that it was alright to sit up.

He had already established to the omega who was the alpha, had shown his superiority and deemed Taehyung no threat.

Taehyung eyed the beast warily as he stared in awe at its dark grey fur, hand hesitantly reaching out.

He was shaking as the alpha eyed his every move but did not attempt to stop him as Taehyung began to slowly pet his fur.

It was as soft as he had imagined, hands carefully touching the alpha.

A giggle fell from his lips as a white butterfly came out of nowhere, landing straight onto the wolf's black snout.

A small sneeze from the wolf was enough to scare the butterfly away as it flew through the trees.

Taehyung began to realize that he was no longer afraid of him, softly scratching behind his ears as the wolf huffed softly and laid down on the ground.

Taehyung sat with his legs crossed right in front of him, hands running through the soft fur.

The second Jeongguk shifted back and put the last article of clothes back on (his underwear had ripped to shreds so Taehyung politely turned around to give him privacy), the omega was running towards him with a pout on his lips.

He wrapped his arms tightly around the alpha as he buried his face into his chest.

"That looked painful," he whispered moments later when Jeongguk cupped the nape his neck and forced him to look up at him.

Jeongguk's eyes were still, unrecognizable expression on his face as his lips pressed into a straight line.

But to see Taehyung so distraught about the transformation, to see his omega so worried about him made Jeongguk's heart rate speed up.

He wouldn't lie and claim that it didn't hurt when the truth was that it did.

It should, especially if it was every bone in his body breaking and morphing into something else.

"It's gotten better," Jeongguk spoke, remembering how painful and draining the first transformation had been.

It had taken hours for all of his bones to break, body not used to the shifting.

But now, his body had morphed more times than he could remember, pain not as intense as the first time.

But Taehyung did not seem content with the response, brows furrowed in worry as he gazed up at Jeongguk.

The alpha decided he did not like to see his omega look at him that way, thumbs reaching up to relax his brows, causing the omega to stare up at him with a saddened look on his face.

"Do you have to shift?" Taehyung asked softly.

"If I don't, it will get harder as the years go by," Jeongguk replied, frowning as he began to realize Taehyung now saw it as a burden.

"It's important that I know how to shift. Not everyone is strong enough to survive the transformation." Jeongguk explained as Taehyung blinked up at him in full concentration.

At his words Taehyung frowned as he could not even imagine the thought of his mate not being strong enough to endure the shift.

He nosed at Jeongguk's jaw for comfort, inhaling his scent as he slowly calmed down from his irrational thoughts.

Jeongguk let the omega scent him calmly, hand on the small of Taehyung's back as he felt the omega's nose on his scent gland.

"Pup," Jeongguk spoke lowly when he felt Taehyung's lips pressing a shy kiss to his jaw.

Taehyung's stomach felt like it could burst with butterflies at his words, heat pooling in his belly at the pet name.

He never realized how good it could sound coming from his alpha, cheeks aflame as he purred like a kitten.

Jeongguk could sense the spike in Taehyung's scent at his words, low growl leaving his lips when he realized the omega had become aroused.

It had been a simple pet name and it was surprising how quickly Taehyung had been affected.

A soft whine left Taehyung's lips in embarrassment when he began to smell the change in his own scent, thighs clenched shut tightly.

 "You're shaking," Jeongguk murmured against his ear, amused look on his face.

He couldn't help feeling pride swell in his chest at the realization that Taehyung had been turned on by simple words.

"I-I'm sorry," Taehyung blushed.

He must sound so pathetic, getting so affected over a simple word like a little virgin.

"It's alright... But I can't have you smelling like this in front of others." 

Taehyung nodded sheepishly against his chest as he slowly calmed himself down, breathing evening out as he huffed softly.

They waited probably about twenty minutes for the smell to lessen before making their way back to the palace, Taehyung clutching onto the alpha's arm the entire way.
