The soft brushes of the makeup tool against his eyelids made Taehyung nearly fall asleep from how relaxing the action felt.

He was seated in his chair by the vanity, the top of it currently cluttered with makeup products as well as hair tools.

The omega sat quietly as they worked on his looks, butterflies never once leaving his belly since he woke up earlier that morning.

"Alright," the makeup stylist told him, "you're all done."

She held a beautiful hand-held mirror up to his face, allowing him to inspect her work up close and was rewarded with a gasp of surprise from Taehyung.

His hair was eventually finished soon after, permed to perfection with soft curls framing his face.

"Thank you so much," he said softly, watching as both the stylists bowed politely and began cleaning up their working station.

The sound of a soft knock to the door was heard seconds later before Taehyung let out a soft 'come in'.

The sight of not only Jimin but the queen standing beside him, had Taehyung politely rising to bow in her presence.

You could say he had time to grow accustomed to her presence considering she was helping him with training for his coronation.

He found himself able to relax around her and not tremble in fear, recalling how she had apologized to him about pushing the matter of having pups.

After his return to the palace, she had not only spent more time with him but also apologized on behalf of Jeongguk for his actions.

Taehyung knew the woman meant well and her words were sincere as she held his hand and promised him that he was always welcome in the palace no matter what.

The past king, Jeongguk's father, had not only nodded in approval of his queen's words but had also gifted Taehyung an expensive gold watch that sat safety tucked away in his closet.

"Hello Taehyung! You look amazing and your dress is not even on yet." She smiled widely at him before bringing him in for a hug.

Taehyung tried to be careful not to press his face against her beautiful baby blue dress, afraid he would ruin it on accident.

"Speaking of, we should get you all dressed up." She pulled back slightly, turning her head just as Jimin carefully laid out his wedding dress on the bed.

With the help of both Jimin and the queen herself, Taehyung was now wearing the most gorgeous dress he had picked out himself.

It was an extravagant white gown with gold, floral lacy-detailing lining up the entire chest as well as the shoulders and down the waistline.

There was sheer white material placed over the detailing, held partially together by a diamond belt design around the waist.

Taehyung knew the moment he laid eyes on it, that it was the one.

And even now that he had it on, he knew he hadn't made a mistake choosing it.

His thoughts were cut short when Jimin reached into the pocket of his expensive suede suit and pulled out a small envelope.

"Here," he said, "Jeongguk wanted you to read it before it's time."

Taehyung found himself taking the envelope from Jimin with shaky hands, eyes questioning the omega as to what it was.

Instead all he said was, "we'll be back in a little bit."

And he was left all alone to open the envelope, making him feel even more nervous than he already was.

Was Jeongguk regretting this decision? Was this his way of telling him it was all a mistake?

He gulped harshly as his shaky fingers opened the envelope carefully, pulling out a folded piece of paper.

Taehyung, it read.

I cannot seem to find the correct words to describe this feeling inside of my chest. As I turn to look at you in the wee hours of the morning every single day, I am consumed with the eternal desire to love you with every breath that I breathe.

I vow to always be your protector and lover until the day that I take my last breath. You are my greatest strength and my weakness altogether and for that, I shall show you nothing but my love and devotion.

Your alpha,

Jeon Jeongguk

Taehyung knew he could not let a single tear fall if he wanted his makeup to stay intact, opting for looking up at the ceiling to stop the first tear from falling.

He wanted to cry and run into Jeongguk's arms, kiss him and tell him that he felt exactly the same.

Instead, he hugged the letter close to his chest and covered his mouth to stop a sob threatening to spill.

He sniffed lightly as a soft knock was heard before the queen was entering with a small box in her hands.

"I hope those are happy tears," she joked, smiling at him lightly as Taehyung neatly folded the letter back up and placed it in the envelope.

"Here," she said softly, "open it."

She stuck the box out for Taehyung to grab, making the omega sniffle one last time as he timidly took it from her.

"Oh my goodness," Taehyung gasped in astonishment, eyes wide at the sight of a beautiful gold tiara with diamonds shining back at him.

She gently took it out of the box for him before turning his way, "May I?"

Taehyung quickly bowed his head just enough for her to place it on his head, making her step back and admire her work afterwards.

"Thank you," Taehyung said lightly, smiling nervously at her when she grabbed his hands in hers.

It was time.

Taehyung felt a sense of nostalgia as he walked towards Seokjin, white roses in his hand with sage colored leaves that made the bouquet look absolutely stunning.

He smiled at his handmaiden, watching as Seokjin's eyes followed him from head to toe, staring in awe at the long, beautiful gown.

But Taehyung couldn't help looking past Seokjin, to where his own father stood in a fancy suit Taehyung knew he could have never afforded on his own salary.

But the little omega had hand-picked his parents' outfits alongside Jeongguk when he sent out the wedding invitations.

He knew he wanted them to be a part of this day and he couldn't help nodding at Seokjin who smiled and moved aside to let him walk to his father.

"You look beautiful," his father said, eyes bloodshot as he rubbed his face to rid himself of any tears.

Taehyung smiled at him and pulled him in for a hug, finally aware of the white carriage with gold swirls around the top dangling like vines.

"Are you ready to go?" He asked, making Taehyung smile and nod at him before making his way into the carriage.

The horses were to stop just at the beginning of the aisle, where his father would then walk him down the aisle until he reached Jeongguk.

Unlike the first time, Taehyung didn't want to walk alone and wanted his father to be a part of the moment.

The sound of the horses' hooves hitting the pavement as they made their way towards the palace garden where an outdoor and indoor venue were arranged.

The ceremony would take place outside while the food and festivities would be indoors. And unlike the first wedding, Taehyung had wanted the entire kingdom present.

There were floor seats on the garden for both of their families and friends, while higher leveled seating was arranged for commoners to watch and enjoy from afar.

Taehyung could hear the beginning of a soft melody playing as they stopped in front of the aisle, making the omega's stomach swirl with butterflies at the sight of so many people and all of their attention was on him.

He had not yet glanced at Jeongguk as his father began to walk him down the aisle, eyes nervously glancing around at the people seated.

He clutched the bouquet tightly in his hand as he held onto his father's arm, gaze meeting Jimin's and Seokjin's as they smiled at him encouragingly.

Next, he saw his mother standing alone with an empty seat beside her where his father would soon join her, eyes clearly bloodshot as she clasped her hands together in front of her.

Yoongi was seated directly behind Jimin, evidently unable to sit beside the young prince who wore a red and black suit.

And then Taehyung's eyes landed on Hoseok, standing beside Yoongi and wearing a silver suit with his hair gelled to the side neatly.

His expression was neutral, making Taehyung glad that he even showed up after sending him an invitation.

He had not spoken a word to him since he left his house with Jeongguk, giving the alpha all the space he might have needed.

The omega was glad to see him there, sending him a weak smile and watching as Hoseok nodded back at him lightly.

He knew it was the first step and that Hoseok would need more time to sort his feelings, but this meant he was finally coming around.

Eventually, his eyes finally met him.

He took Taehyung's entire breath away at first glance, making his knees nearly buckle and his cheeks flush in embarrassment at how quickly he became affected.

He was wearing a black suit with gold epaulettes and matching gold, floral design on the collar.

Taehyung felt his breathing hitch the closer they grew to the end of the aisle, watching as Jeongguk's eyes drank in his figure, clouded with desire.

It made Taehyung think back to the letter, forcing him to clutch the bouquet in his hands tighter as his father brought him up to Jeongguk and handed him over with a bow.

Taehyung watched his father return to his seat beside his mother while he finally looked up at Jeongguk, watching as he stuck his hand out for him to take.

The omega felt his stomach dance with a million butterflies as he took his hand, tingling shooting up his arm and electrifying every vein in his body.

"You look gorgeous," he murmured gently, watching as Taehyung grinned at him bashfully yet mumbled a soft 'thank you'.

The sneaky glances at each other continued all throughout the ceremony as they said their vows and exchanged rings.

When it was finally time to kiss his mate, Jeongguk did not hesitate.

It wasn't explicit or overly sexual by any means, just a sweet kiss on the lips that left Taehyung's mouth tingling and body wanting so much more.

The cheers around them were deafening, making Taehyung grin widely as they turned around to face the crowd and laced their fingers together.

Taehyung could get used to this feeling. The feeling of being loved.
