Y/N felt dewy grass agaisnt her cheek and every inch of skin that wasnt covered by the armour she had created. The harsh night wind blew her hair haphazardly. Her arm was throbbing with what looked like the skull almost trying to pry its way out of her skin. Her veins had blackened and the wand had been absorbed into her body, leaving her partially defenceless.

The tall trees of the forbidden forest looked menacing to anyone on the outside but to Y/N they were currently providing her with shelter. Only a few hundred meters she had apparated away from Voldemort. His army looked for her and the source of the noise she had created, the trees kept her from them until she woke up.

Light raindrops fell onto her face, alerting Y/N to her surroundings. She opened her eyes rather quickly and rubbed them before making sense. Turning her head to observe where she was she picked herself up from the ground and moved towards a hollow tree. Leaning her weight against it, Y/N took a moment to compose herself. She checked on her baby, who slept soundly in her mothers womb. The soon to be mother straightened up her clothes before deciding to tear off a piece. The piece was wrapped around her arm to hopefully get rid of the throbbing pain.

Y/N closed her eyes and took a deep breath, before turning around to face the music. Multiple death eaters looked at her all in unison, and that's when it began.

They ran towards her at full speed, throwing curses everywhere they could. Y/N skilfully avoided the curses, lifting the death eaters off their feet with her magic she threw them miles away, surely dead as their bones crushed on impact.  The other became more cautious seeing the fate of their predecessors.

One decided to climb onto the branch of a tree high above ground. He jumped around on them, deflecting every try Y/N made to grab onto his ankle. Getting frustrated she flew up to the branch herself but alas fond no sign of the man. She struggled to find him in the dark night sky but the black cloaks of the deatheaters and the rain that had now begun to pour heavily made it seem impossible.

Within seconds she felt and an arm wrap around her throat. She used her palm to thrust his elbow upwards and slipped out from the gap underneath. They both swivelled to face each other, maintaining their footing on what little space the tree branch allowed. He lunged at Y/N attempting to throw her off her feet and down onto the cold hard ground. Y/N simply moved out of the way and jumped onto a higher branch, leaving the deatheater to fall flat onto the thick wood.

A light chuckle left her mouth upon seeing the foolishness of Voldemorts army. He got up once again, this time jumping to be face to face with Y/N again. His wand had fallen in all this tussle. He decided not to attack her this time but to rather slowly move towards her, his arm stretched out in what one would believe to be, friendship.

"Yawn." Y/N said before grabbing onto his hand and pulling with all her might. He was thrown off his feet, now hanging on for dear life onto her arm. He started begging for her to pull him up and not kill her but all she did was sigh. She knew the second she pulled him up he would attack her again so instead she did this,

"Goodbye" She said nonchalantly before releasing her grip on his arm. He fell to his death, the black cloak covering the pool of blood that had risen from the back of his skull, the menacing raindrops washing it away.

"That's a shame, I was expecting the fight to be more fun."

"Oh well." She shrugged before moving onto her search for the next one.

Y/N had now been gone for twenty minutes and in those, a lot had happened back at the castle. Sirius black, James Potter and Remus Black were sprinting through the hallways in search of their long lost friend, Peter Pettigrew. The sword of Gryffindor hung from remus's back, shining in the indirect moonlight from the tinted windows of Hogwarts.

Peter was one of the last two horcruxes left to Voldemort's defeat. Our team climbed up to the astronomy tower, hoping to get a birds eye view to possibly locate peter but what they found instead was terrifying. Nymphadora was being held against the railing, her ankles tied together and her hands bound behind her back. They were drenched from the rain, the thunderclaps in the distance only increased the tension and severity of this situation.

They stopped in their tracks, seeing Nymphadora in this state paralysed them with fear for their friends life. Peter Pettigrew was standing beside her, his wand digging deep into her flesh. Remus slowly withdrew the sword and pointed it sharply at Peter.

"Now now Remus, you wouldn't want to kill you own friend would you?!" Peter mocked them. Remus gulped as he shared a glance with his husband. That one glance conveyed a million thoughts and emotions to Sirius.

"Put. The sword. Down." Peter said through his teeth, leaning Tonks just an inch closer to her possible death. She screamed through the cloth that had been stuffed into her mouth. She was scared but the actions her fingers were doing told a whole different story to her friends.

James understood these signs and within seconds everyone knew the plan without a word being spoken.

"Peter." James said.
"You're our friend, and we all still trust you."

"No, you're a liar! All of you!" Peter screamed.

"We're not lying to you. We want to help you." Remus tried to reason

"No! You're here to kill me! I know it!" He said, a small tear glistening in the side of his eye.
"LET ME GO O-OR ILL KILL HER" He bellowed as they all took a step towards him.

"Wormtail, listen to us. This isn't who you are." Sirius said, his voice lowering an octave.

Upon hearing his old nickname, something in Peter's cold heart, softened.

"Peter, if we don't kill you, then Voldemort surely will." Sirius continued, knowing that peter was unaware of his status as a horcrux.

"Either way, this isn't going to end well for you. Let us. We promise it'll be quick. You will never have to go through Voldemorts torture again." James said, manipulating his ex-friend.

Peters face fell as he realised that everything James was saying was absolutely true, there was nothing he could do. Even if he ran, Voldemort would surely find him.

"I want to be at peace before I die." He said, letting go of Nymphadora and coming to his knees. Her ties vanished at once.
"Please forgive me, my friends." He asked.

"We forgive you." Everyone said in unison. James had tears in his eyes and Remus was sniffling. No one had expected that killing their friend would be this hard.

Remus moved towards him, placing the sword on his neck as Peter closed his eyes, accepting his fate. Remus tried to get his hand to swing, to slice open Wormtails throat but he couldn't bring him self to do it. There was still a part of him somewhere that cared about him. Cared about the wide eyed first year her had met on the train. Cared about his companion in Hogwarts. Cared about his friend.

"I-i can't do it." Remus resigned but before Peter could even register what Remus had said Tonks snatched the sword and detached his head from his body.

A powerful blast originated from his decapitated body, throwing everyone off their feet. Remus, Sirius and James fell backwards onto the cold metal, bruising their body, their hands in front of their face to protect themselves. Unfortunately Nymphadora fell the wrong way. She was flung over the iron railing, 100 feet above the ground.
