World POV

A black car pulled into the beautifully manicured hogwarts gardens. The whomping willow's branches had shaken off the snow over the summer and was now full of lucious green leaves. Y/N, Mattheo and Proffesor Mcgonagal exited the car and walked up the large staircase that opened up into the castle. Conversatoin was sparse, given that they were all extremely tired.

The silence in the castle was eerie to say the least. No students were there yet except for them. The great hall was being set up for the big feast, the corridors cold and empty, the classsroms stocked with new materials to start the year afresh. As they climbed up the moving staircase the school bell tolled 7 times, informing them that there was approximately 12 hours before the others started to arrive.

The paintings that lined the wall though confused at seeing the students this early greeted them and went back to sleep. As they reached the headmasters office Proffesor mcgonagal recited the password and the large golden gargoyele lept sideways, revealing the spiral stairs that moved them upwards on their own.

Y/N pushed open the door after several knocks but no asnwer that was recieved. They all walked inside to see the headmasters quaters very empty. All personal belongings were no longer where they used to be and the never ending stack of books and papers on the table were now replaced with a letter that bore Proffessor Mcgongal's name. She slowly picked it up and opened the seal before reading thourgh the piece of paper.

Her expression seemed to change with every line she read further. Once her eyes had reached the bottom of the parchment she sighed quite louldy before placing it back and anncouning to the awaiting and confused riddles.

"Proffessor dumbledore is no longer with us and I am now the offical Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry" She said almost proudly but these words seemed to send mattheo into a loop of continuous repetiiton of the word, "No."

"Whats wrong Mr. Riddle?" She asked placing a hand on his shoulder. "The ONLY reason my father hasn't attacked hogwarts yet is because Dumbelore was here. He always said that as soon as Dumblebore would die that hogwarts would be ours." Mattheo said as panic set in.

"We cant let that happen! w-we have to keep it silent! we could say that he is on temporary leave!" Y/N argued

At that exact moment the school owl swooped in though the window and dropped the daily prophet onto the table before flying off again, unaware of the news he had brought.

The front page of the newspaper had a huge photograph of proffesor dumbledore and the headlines read in big bold letters. "ALBUS DUMBLEDORE FOUND DEAD IN UNKNOWN LOCATION. RUMOURS PROVED TRUE."

"Well there goes that plan." Y/N deadpaned.

"He is coming. Tonight." Mattheo said.
"Then, we prepare for war" Proffesor Mcgonngal replied.

"Wait. I am the one that he wants, right? I cannot put all of you in danger because of me!" Y/N exclaimed.
"We are not going to let you go to him if thats what you're suggesting." Mattheo said sternly

"Mattheo! I cannot put so many lives on the line! That would be selfish! I cannot do that to you all!" she said.
"Y/N, listen to me, even if we give you to him, he will still get hogwarts. If you stay here and we fight, we might just have a chance" Mattheo explained.

"You have powers that are unparraleled! You can kill him Y/N. After everything that he has done to you, its only fair that you be the one to take his life" He encourgaed.

"Okay" Y/N said finally, blinking her tears away. "But, if comes between me and the baby. You save the baby."
"Y/N you know I cant-"
"Promise me!"
"I Promise."

The preprations began. Letters were sent out by the school, explaining the current situation and telling students from Year 1 to Year 6 to stay home. Year 7 need only board the train if they were ready to fight. The order of the pheonix was notified and they slowly started arriving.

The proffesors were briefed and they promply made their way to the perimeter of the school, casting protecttion spells, guarding the school against dark forces. The aurous arrived and with them came the entire Weasely family, the Potters, The Blacks and The Lovegoods amoung many others. Percy informed us of the people at the ministry that were on our side of the war and they were sent discrete memo's as well.

The great hall had removed the tables and was now full of hospiatal beds, ready to tend to the wounds of the brave fighters. Any usefull materials from the classrooms was obtained and kept in courtyard, ready for use. Since severus snape was no where to be found, Mattheo fetched all the dangours potions, Professor flitwick charmed multiple heavy books to float at the gate and fall as soon as borders were breached. Profesor mcgongal transfigured large objects such as desks into a myriad of things such as horses and other transportable animals. Hagrid had supplied bows and arrows and had somehow managed to bring four giants along. Proffesor sprout fetched the sleeping mandrakes and other plants, suppliying everyone with a pair of earmuffs. Even proffesor trelawny had joined them, bringing crystal balls to throw.

Y/N went to the kitchens, informing the house eleves of this situations and providing them an opportunity to stay and fight or leave. The eleves each picked up knives and decided to stay. Asking a few of them to join her she went to every dorm before tearing down the curtains to the beds and bringing them back downstairs. With professor flitwicks help she charmed them to resist most common spells like expelliarmus when worn. She had picked up the idea from muggle bulletproof vests.

Y/N always thought that wizarding robes were a bit too tedious, especially to fight in so as she and the house eleves began sewing they came up with a jumpsuit overalls situation. The outfit had pants that were then attached to two panels of fabric that joined on the shoulders. They were all red owing to the curtain colours. The fabric wasnt that heavy so it didnt weigh them down but it was strong enough to protect them.

By the time everyone had completed their assigned jobs it was one hour to the arrival of the hogwarts express. They had no idea how many students were willing to risk their lives but they were going to find out soon enough. She walked outside to the courtyard, giving everyone their appropriate size of clothing. They rid themselves of their robes before pulling the overalls on. Once everyone outside had been protected, she gave some to the house eleves. Their protection was just as important as wizards.

She then walked to the back lawn, donning her new outfit, her hair tied behind in a bun. She threw her palms out and formed the dark matter before hoisting herself into the air, practicing voldemorts death.
