As soon as she got home she was dragged into the living room and thrown on the couch by her mother who was furious.

Alice- I knew something was up with you before I kicked you out but I didn't think you'd be whoring around with older men.

Betty- Stop saying I'm whoring around! I've only ever done things with him! I love him and he loves me, and if you loved me, you'd know that! (sniffles)

Alice- I do love you ungrateful bitch!

Betty- THEN WHY DO YOU SAY THINGS LIKE THAT?! WHY DO YOU CALL ME A WHORE?! WHY DO YOU TREAT ME LIKE CRAP?! (cries)

Alice- BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!

Betty- This isn't love mom. (cries)

Alice- I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU LIKE I LOST POLLY! (sobs)

Betty- W-What? (cries)

Alice- I let Polly do everything. See a bunch of guys, go to parties, drink. But you know what? It got her killed. That night she and Jason were driving, they were both drunk and it got them both killed. And I can't let that happen to you. (sobs)

Betty- Why didn't you just talk to me then, instead of treating me like a prisoner? (cries)

Alice- I don't know, I'm sorry. (sobs)

Betty- It's okay mom but you can't take Jughead away from me...I need him. (cries)

Alice- I know, I'm sorry I fucked it up, I will do all I can to keep you together...but are you really having this baby? (tears)

Betty- Yes, I'm not getting an abortion and I can't put it up for adoption, I would never forgive myself.

Alice nodded and Betty hugged her mom, she actually hugged her.

She couldn't even remember the last time they had done that, they were not at all close anymore, but now it seemed like they had a chance to be close again.

Alice- Let's go to the police station so I can talk to those dickheads.

Betty giggled and they made their way to the station.

As soon as they got there Betty ran to the cell that her boyfriend was in while Alice went to talk to the sheriff.

Betty- Juggie!

Jughead- Betts!

He jumped up and ran to the bar, grabbing her hand.

Jughead- Are you okay?

Betty- I'm fine, but why are you worrying about me?

Jughead- One, I love you and two, you're pregnant. Are you and the baby alright?

Betty- We're okay.

He nodded and stuck his hand through the bar placing it on his girlfriends stomach.

Jughead- I love you both, so much.

Betty- We love you too. (tears)

Jughead- How'd you even get here before mommy put you on house arrest?

Betty- She actually brought me here.

Jughead- What?!

Betty- We're trying to get you out of here.

Jughead- You're mom really wants to help me?

Betty- I don't know if she wants to help you but we talked after everything and she wants me be happy.

He pulled her hand through the bar and gave it a light kiss but then Betty was grabbed and pulled back by a police officer.

She started to cry because of the pain the police officer just caused, and Jughead instantly grew angry.

Jughead- What the fuck! Don't touch her like that! You could hurt her! (yells)

Police- Then keep your hands away from her!

Alice ran to Betty and wrapped her arm around her stomach looking into her eyes.

Alice- Are you okay baby? What happened?

Betty- H-He grabbed me and pulled me away. (cries)

She said as she rubbed her hand over her stomach.

Alice- Hey! Asshole! Yeah, you! What the fuck are you doing breathing a pregnant woman?

Police- You mean that girl? She's a child and that pedophile was touching her.

Alice- She's not a child, she is 18 years old and she is pregnant with that mans baby, now you are not tearing them apart and you are not laying your hands on her. If you do, I will have you fired in a second.

He nodded and walked away quickly while Betty hugged her mom and went back over to Jughead.

He held her hand while he also gently rubbed her stomach.

Alice gave them a minute alone before she walked over and stood with both of them.

Betty- What did they say, can we do anything?

Alice- (shakes her head) They need to have a court hearing, it's going to be tomorrow.

Betty- Is he gonna go to jail?

Alice- I don't know, I'm sorry.

Betty started crying again making Jughead hold onto her hand tight.

Jughead- Alice, could you give us a minute?

Alice- Yeah, I'll be right over there.

The mother walked away while Betty continued to cry.

Jughead- Betty, baby, look at me. (softly)

She hesitantly looked up into his eyes and he saw the broken look on her face with all of the tears.

Jughead- Betts, I don't know what's going to happen to me but you have to promise that you'll take care of the baby, our baby.

Betty- I don't think I can without you. (cries)

Jughead- You can, you are so strong.

Betty- But-

Jughead- No, no buts. You just have to promise me.

She shook her head and started sobbing while looking down at the floor.

He squeezed her hands lightly ad she looked back up at him.

Jughead- Can you please promise me?

Betty- I p-promise. (sobs)

Her voice broke as she promised him so he pulled her hands towards him and kissed them lightly.

Jughead- I love you so much.

Betty- I l-love you so much.

Jughead- I'll see you tomorrow, okay?

She nodded and he gave her hand one last kiss before he let her go.

Then she left with her mother.

But as she got in the car she broke down.

Alice- Betty-

Betty- I c-can't lose him! I can't be a good mom without him! (sobs)

Alice- We don't know what's going to happen yet but if you have to be a mom alone I will be here for you.

Betty- But I n-need him! (sobs)

Alice- Baby, let's not freak out about him being gone yet, he's still here. Tomorrow we will figure it all out, okay?

She nodded and Alice gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before driving them home.

The rest of the day Betty thought about what she'd do without Jughead, and she really had no clue.

She just needed to hope that everything would be okay.
