ADELAIDE'S POV

"Miss President, do you have a minute or two to explain to me about this little spending you did with the school fund?" Asha looked down on the paper I placed in front of her and smile.

"Well, this is the cheque for my outrageous action." She handed me a cheque.

"That doesn't answer my question. What did you do with the money?!" I slammed my hand on the desk while glaring at her. She flinched before giving me her sheepish smiles.

"Well ... I bought that." She pointed at something. When I turned to the direction, I saw a coffee maker and some French pastry.

"How is it possible that you have to spend $10,000 for a coffee maker and some pastry?!" Again I glared.

"Because the pastry came from France and the coffee maker is expensive. What? It's for us and the coffee maker is for the future use of this room as well. Don't give me that look treasurer!" Treasurer? She called me treasurer?!

"My name is Adelaide. Please stop spending money like this. You have your own money to spend, right?" Again she's giving me the look.

"I am spending my own money here if you thinking about my parents, who owned this very school." This time, it's my turn to glare at the president.

"The principal gave us this money to be used for the school and students. Not for your own entertainment. If I caught you doing this kind of things again, mark my word Asha, you'll regret it." I said with a smile.

She gulped down before nodding her head vigorously.

Good, that's how it should be after all. Sometimes I wonder if the whole family acted this way because of their parents. But, knowing the Irisha couple, I never once see them acted out of character. They always so ... friendly.

"Adelaide, why don't you just date my sister. Her life is a mess, her money is everywhere, and her love life sucks. If you're there for her, I bet you can manage her life, get a hold of her money, and both of your love life flourish into such an amazing romance." Asha winked.

"First, I just know her. Second, I have money myself. Third, who says my love life sucks?" I asked her back.

"I said so, it suck. Since you came to the school, most of your partners and dates are either a distant relative of a royal family or just someone straight from a money maker family. Why not try date an assassin?" Asha wiggling her eyes brows.

"She's older than me and besides, I never dated a woman before." I bantered.

"So? Your eldest brother was 23 when he married the 16-year-old princess from the Nation of Astal. Married at 16, pregnant at 17, a mother at 17, pregnant again at 19, boom! A young mother." Asha really knows what to say at times like this.

And how the hell did she knows about my brother's sex life and when sister in law got pregnant? She's a woman full of mystery, a useless one If I may add.

"If you, God bless, marry my sister, you don't have to worry about getting pregnant since she doesn't have a penis." Was that suppose to be the perks?

"If you do wish for a child growing in you, I'm sure the scientist in Volin got that cover for you. It's the modern world, humans often play as God for their own curiosity. I'm sure they have a way for you to conceive my sister's child. They have that genius woman with them, Professor Hynera." Asha winked.

"Professor who?" I tried to change the subject of our conversation.

"She's a test tube child of Madam Althea, the wife of the dean, Irina Volin. As in test tube I mean she was created in a lab. It's a long story but long story short, she has a mind that exceeds human capabilities. I've been researching about Volin since I'm planning to go there once I'm graduate from here." Oh, that's news.

I thought she was just playing.

Well, she does have a natural born instinct of a killer. I've witnessed it a couple of times when we negotiated with adults.

"Sasha is a graduate from Volin as well. But I'm sure you know that." I did.

"But did you know my sister was clinically dead for few minutes when she was on an operating table?" That I don't know.

"That sister of mine should be dead but she didn't. Why do you think the underworld called her as The Dutch? She's a walking corpse." Asha shrugged her shoulder.

A walking corpses huh?

That's interesting.

***

"Adelaide." Huh? Did someone call me? When I turned around, it was Wyatt Hayden, one of my many suitors in this school.

"Yes,  Wyatt? Is there anything I can help you with?" I really need to go back to the student council room though.

"I was wondering if you have the time to join me for lunch?" For lunch? Oh yes, it's lunch.

I was too busy with the student council work to notice that. Since it's almost time for the welcoming event, I have to work harder since the president literally useless when it comes to being diligent.

"Lunch? Now?" I looked at the time. Maybe I could spare some time.

"Sure. Lead the way." He smiles widely before leading me towards the cafeteria. He's too formal with me. If he really has a crush on me, he should act like Sasha when she brought me to lunch.

She didn't use any honorific, she didn't act like she's with a princess at all. She's rude and she only thinks about herself. That woman doesn't even care if I fall or whatever! She's doing what she does best, ignore her surrounding.

Why can't everybody act like that? It makes me feel normal, makes me feel ... like I'm part of this school.

"Have a seat, Milady." Other princesses should be a thrill when a man did all these for her but I feel so ... bored.

"Wyatt and Adelaide sitting on a tree ...
K. I. S. S. I. N. G!" That voice ... it's Sasha, isn't it?

She laughed when she walked past our table. Does this woman really have a thing for me? If so why does she made fun of me and the person I'm with? Why didn't she acted as if we're already official?

Ugh! Just claim me as your bitch!

"Be careful Wyatt, that woman is crazy. She's insane." I heard that. What's the point of whispering if she's going to whisper it out loud?!

"Miss Sasha, is there anything we can help you with?" She's really trying to piss me off at the same time I feel some sort of joy from this. Why am I so happy being mad at her?!

"Nah. I'm just being a third wheel here. Carry on. Also, Wyatt, if you need some condom advice, by all means, come to me at any time. I'm pretty sure the princess doesn't need her belly goes pop while she's here." Did she just ... she really just .... !!!

Even Wyatt doesn't know what to say!

She patted his shoulder before joining with the other teachers for lunch. Once the awkward situation died down, Wyatt asked if I wanted anything from the food counter.

"Just water and a sandwich would be nice, here ..." I was about to hand my money but he declines.

"My treat. Don't worry about paying." I smiled when he said that.

He made a great partner though, I can't say otherwise. But, while she's here, staring us down, I don't know if I should be happy with Wyatt's treatment or be super angry at that supposed teacher!

"Here's your water and sandwich. I don't know which kind you prefer so I just pick all them." This is too many sandwiches.

"Here, let's share." I then notice he bought a set meal.

"Oh ... I'm sorry."

"It's fine. I can eat it all, don't worry." He's such a trooper. If only that teacher just quit looking at our direction and be discreet!

"Any plan going back to Ostria?" He asked. I took a bite of the sandwich before shrugging my shoulder.

"I'm not sure. Maybe, on school holiday? See I'm not sure." I chuckled while took another bite. He blushed before looking away from me. He's obviously has a crush on me, it's confirmed now.

"Oh, you have a little ..." He was pointing at his cheek. I was about to remove it when he grabbed my hand.

"Let me." He smiles before grabbed a napkin and wipe the stain on my cheek. Jesus, he's such a gentleman. Did my heart skipped a beat just then?

"There. It's all done." It didn't take him long to blush again. I smiled when he realized he just did what he did.

"I'm sorry. It wasn't a proper way to do so, I'm sorry!" He bows his head.

"It's fine. I like that." He smiled back but not that other person. She was staring daggers at us.

Come on! If you're jealous, just come here and says so!

***

"Adelaide, let's go to the Special Class. I'm bored." I looked up from my book and just looked at Asha in disbelief.

"We have algebra after this."

"That is why I want to escape. Come on, let's have fun. We can ask Sasha to teach us. It's better than that old hag." Old hag? She just called our teacher an old hag.

"Are you going to use your power as the president again? That's not very smart of you, Asha." She closed her book and stood up from her seat.

"The smart one is me and the dumb one is ..." I glared before she could finish her sentences. She better think before she speaks.

"Not you..." She sighs in relief.

"Anyway, let's just go. I'm sure you can ace it, you're a genius. Let's go before that old hag comes." She forces me to stand up and dragged me out of the classroom.

Our classmate were jealous that we manage to get out just because we're in the student council.

"Why do we have to go to the Special Class anyway?" I asked as she still kept a close grip on my wrist.

"I can walk on my own," I said but she kept holding my wrist.

"Because I want to see some drama going on. It's not every day I get to see it." Drama? What kind of drama?

She knock on the door before slides it open.

"Sasha, we like to join your class today." She was in the middle of explaining something on the board. From the things she wrote, it's physics.

"Asha? And Adelaide. Sure, just sit anywhere. Where were we? Oh! Class, what is energy?" Sasha looked around before choosing one of her students.

"Hinako. What is energy?" She asked.

"Energy ... the ability to do work or cause action?" Hinako answered.

"That's right. What are the two forms of energy? Genesis."

"There's two forms of energy, potential and kinetic." She answered.

"Explain it." Sasha was crossing her hands.

"Potential is a stored energy, meaning it's an energy can could do work. While kinetic is a movement energy, meaning it's an energy that does work." Everyone gasped. Sasha smile.

"That's good. Seems like you did your own homework huh." I can't believe this. The Special Class actually studying for a change! How did she manage to do that?!

"Clayton, what are the types of potential energy?" Clayton seems nervous.

"Umm ... I know this. Wait ..." Sasha was tapping her fingers on her desk.

"Chemical, gravitational, mechanics and nuclear." Sasha was impressed and so am I! The whole class even clapped their hands when Clayton manage to answer it.

"Good job Alyssa. Somehow the studying made it into his brains! I'm so proud!" Sasha fake a cry.

"Alani, can you tell me the types of kinetic energy." Alani smiled.

"Heat, electrical, light and sound." Sasha was nodding her head.

"Good job everyone. I hope you all wrote that down because this will be in the quiz." Sasha continued the lesson with me baffled by how she managed to get into their thick skull that refuses knowledge.

"Amazing isn't it? My sister manages to make them study." Asha whispered.

"Yea. We don't have to be the middle person if something went wrong with this class ever again. I wonder what she did to them?" I wonder.

"She did nothing to gain our respect. She just acts like a caring teacher that doesn't have any sign of giving up on us." Was that Ruby who just spoke to us?

Ruby's the worse student ever in the Special Class. Rumor has it that she slept with every guy in this class!

"Whats with the staring? No, I didn't sleep with any of the guys in this class. I'm the youngest daughter of a mobster, I don't do guys like them." She winked before she turned her attention to the class.

"Even Ruby study for her future. She's amazing, huh." Asha kept poking my side with her elbow.

"Miss Adelaide, are you with us or ... you went away on a trip to dreamland?" Sasha calls out for me. She intends to embarrass me in front of the whole class?

"No. Any question for me, Miss Sasha?"

"Not really. I was just asking if you're with us or not, that is all." She cleared her throat before continuing with the class.

I hate to admit it, but her lesson was easier to understand that the teachers that taught us in the normal class.

"1 ... 2 ... 3 ... 4 ..."

I looked around just to see Sasha counting papers on the photocopier.

"Need any help, Miss Sasha?" I asked politely when we're in the presence of other teachers. She looked up with a smile on her face.

"It's alright Miss Adelaide, I can handle this. Besides, I don't wish to be called as a moron for not being able to photocopy on my own." Huh? What does she mean by that?

"Miss Adelaide, if the young teacher doesn't know how to do things on her own, she shouldn't be a teacher in the first place. Just because she's the principal and chairman's daughter that doesn't mean she'll get any special treatment from us." Doesn't Mr. Vincent realizes he's talking to a fellow educator as well?

I never see him talking like this with the other teacher.

"See. I'm a young teacher who should be independent." She's mocking him! I smile.

"Nonsense! Everyone needs some help some time." I decided to help her carried the photocopy papers and followed her to her desk in the teacher's lounge.

"Do you have to face that kind of treatment every single day? Why didn't you just tell your mother about that?" I placed the paper on her desk while waiting for her answers.

"I have a feeling she will encourage that bastard to be more aggressive. Anyway, why are you here? You should be in class." I forgot why I'm here now. Why did I come to the teacher's lounge?

"Oh! I'm here to tell you that the booth has been set up. Asha said you need to check it out before the event next week. Since it's Friday, you should check it out now. I'll be following you, taking notes." Sasha looked at the time and nod.

"I have some time now. Lead the way, treasurer." Now she sounds like Asha!

"We have the Academic Clubs, the Political Clubs, the Media & Publication Groups, the Community Service & Social Justice, Theater & The Arts, Cultural Clubs, Religious & Spiritual Groups and Sports & Recreation clubs." She seems surprised.

"That many? Just how much clubs and association does this school have?" She asked.

"Over 30. You'll be surprised by how many sports and community service club we have. Just recently, the principal agreed to establish a Gay-Straight Alliance club." She seems impressed.

"Just how much my students pay for all these booths and the budget?" She asked while I looked down at my sheets of paper.

"Well, they all pitch in. The amount they gave the student council was almost $100,000." Honestly, it's more than enough. But they said if there's any leftover, it will be donate to the school fund.

I must say I don't hate that idea since the sports month coming up.

"From the looks of things, it's fine for me. What do you think?" Did Sasha just ask for my opinion?

"I think it's fine as well." She smiles without making any comments like she used to.

"Sasha, are you okay?" I asked when we're alone.

"I'm fine." That's it?

"Fine? You look so not yourself. What did the other teachers do to you?" I asked. She should just tell the principal if they do something awful to her.

"I am this close to kill them all. If only they know how hard it is for me to control the urges to slit their neck." She smiled while saying all those things.

"Chill. Don't kill them. You know how hard it is to find great teachers. Although I have to agree that they do have an annoying side." Sasha suddenly faces me.

"Let's have dinner tonight. Okay? I'll pick you up." Before I could say otherwise she leaves me alone in the middle of the square.

"Adelaide? Are you and Miss Sasha in that kind of relationship?" Jesus! Where did he come from?!

"Wyatt?! Don't do that! What relationship?" I asked him again.

"Between you and Miss Sasha. I heard what she said, she asked you to dinner." Hold on, please don't tell me that she saw Wyatt coming towards us and she just has to ask me to dinner, in front of him!

"There's nothing going on with us. She's just a teacher and a sister for my best friend." I said truthfully.

"Really? What's with the dinner then?" Honestly, I have no idea myself.

"Probably a dinner together with Asha." I smile as he smiled back at me. He looks kind of relief for some reason. Can't say I blame the guy. If he really has a thing for me, he probably acts that way when there's another person ask me out.

"Can I walk you to your class?" Huh?

"Sure." He smiles as we walk together towards my classroom. I'm sure everyone's eyes are on us since a special class student walks me to my class.

"This is awkward," I said as we walk together.

"Really? I'm so used to it now. I thought you'll be too since you're a princess." Hmm ... there he goes again mentioning that title of mine. Can he be normal for once? Even Sasha didn't constantly remind me of who I am.

"Say, Adelaide, I was wondering if you have some time over the weekend. I would like to ask you out for a movie." He's straightforward! I like that in a person.

"Sure. Pick me up?" Wyatt smiled before opening the classroom door for me.

"Saturday, 12 pm." He said.

"Saturday, 12 pm, got it." I smiled before wave him goodbye.

He closes the door before I went to my desk. Upon placing the sheets of paper on my desk, Asha was staring at me with daggers in her eyes.

"What's that about?" She asked.

"A man just asks me out this weekend," I explained.

"Yes, that's it. Why that's happening? I thought you're going steady with my sister." Why does she have to say that out loud? Even our classmate turned their attention to us.

"Asha, she's a teacher, I'm a student. She's 21, I'm 17. It would be weird if I went out with my teacher. Wyatt's 17, so am I, there's no awkwardness in that." I slowly explained to her.

"So? Do I need to explain about your brother and sister in law again?" I sighed.

"Whats with you? Do you wish me to be your sister in law that bad? Why not introduce me to Durov instead?" She was surprised.

"Because Durov doesn't have a great future ahead of him, he's a stripper. What's with you?" Seriously? She just said that her own brother doesn't have any future.

"Settle down class ..." our teacher came in right on time.

"We'll
