Listen to the song at the side to match the mood of the chapter :)

"With this knowledge, have you reached a conclusion?"

"Yes, I have. I can't stand to see her suffer like this. I've decided to take her off life support."

"Very well then. Here're a couple of papers I need you to sign. After that we'll begin the process," Dr. Johnson said.

"Will... Will it hurt her?" Noel asked suddenly, as I heard footsteps walk out.

"She's gone, Mrs. Richards. She can't feel anything."

I could imagine Noel casting her head down in grief. Before either one of them could say anything else I felt footsteps run into my hospital room.

"Wait!" A heard a female voice weakly croak. "Tobias is awake."

~*~

"Fuck, Reign," I heard a familiar voice hiss, Tobias's voice. I felt my heart leap at the sound of his deep, husky voice.

"No, no, no. Baby, I'm so sorry," I heard him sob. I felt his face fold in the crook of my neck. "No, please come back to me."

Tobias, I'm here! I wanted to scream. I'm here, but I don't know how to get out.

I heard some more sobs escaped his lips and I wanted nothing more than to place my hands around him and console him. I wanted to play in his too long brown hair. I wanted to hug him, bring him close in my chest, and hold him the way he loves. I wanted to tell him that I was still here and I'm trying to escape, I just didn't know how.

"You promised you wouldn't leave me. You," he choked, his words jumbling in his throat. "We were supposed to be a family. Did you know we're having a little girl?"

There was a teary laugh. "They told me today, just as I woke up. We're going to have another little Reign running around. But I can't do this without you. You need to fight. Be that strong warrior I know you are. Our story has barely begun; don't leave me now."

There were more sobs that escaped his lips. Now he couldn't control his cries. His whole body was shaking from his tears, my body vibrating with him.

"It wasn't supposed to be you. I was the one that was supposed to die! I don't understand how this any of this happened-"

"Tobias."

Tobias immediately got off my chest. I heard him take a deep breath, sniffing his tears back. I wanted to scold whoever interrupted our moment, but just like before I had no function over my motor or physical skills.

"You should be resting. If the doctors see you here-"

"They'll what Noel? Kick me out? She's my girlfriend and it's my fault she's in here!" He yelled back.

"Hey, don't say that. And calm down, you're going to add strain on your already weakened the heart," Noel consoled.

"I don't care. There's no point in living if I can't be with Reign."

"What about your daughter? Are you going to let her grow up with no family?" Noel angry yelled back.

I felt a shift on my bed and soon I could feel Tobias's head rest on my chest. His breathing was slow and shallow and I knew he needed a heart- fast.

"She made you and Scott her godparents for a reason. Besides, she wouldn't want me as a father. Reign brings out the best in me. Without her, I wouldn't be half of a decent man that I am today. So do me a favor; close the door on your way out."

"Tobias, I'm not going-"

"I said leave!" He yelled, his voice loud and threatening.

Noel knew not to test him. I heard the door shut and soon it was just Tobias and I. It wasn't long before I heard him cry on my shoulder again. I ached to comfort him. It pained me to hear how hurt he was.

"Come back to me Reign. Please, sweetheart. I can't live without you."

~*~

"We're losing her! I need a crash cart!"

"What's happening?" I heard Noel cry. "I thought you said she wouldn't be in pain."

Someone removed the pillow under my head, making my head thump against the bed. I felt myself slowly lose control of breathing. What was happening? One minute Tobias was here and the next I was surrounded by doctors?

"Hey! Why isn't anyone answering me? What the hell is going on?" Noel shouted again.

"It appears Miss. Dawson is struggling to breathe. We were wrong; she's still in there, somewhere," I heard Dr. Johnson say. "Somebody take her out of here."

"No! You were wrong about Reign before and now you're telling me that... That she's okay? I want a new doctor!" Noel shouted. "Julian, please help Reign! Please!"

"I can't; I don't have any rights here," Julian protested.

"Bullshit! You're a doctor! Help her out!"

"I'm a resident. I don't even work for this hospital..."

While all this was going on, I felt my chest being hit repeatedly. Doctors and nurses eagerly tried to get my heart rate up by doing compressions before a crash cart arrived. I heard someone yell clear before I felt a jolt of electricity flow through my heart.

"Tobias! Come on! I'm going to be late for school!" I groaned, pulling my coat over my shoulders.

"So be late."

I squealed as I felt myself get picked up, bridal style. Tobias spun me around with a handsome grin on his face. His hair fell over his forehead messily. I giggled, as a result, loving the way he looked at this moment.

"I guess I could be fifteen minutes late... Or an hour."

"Clear!"

"Reign, you can run, but you can't hide!" I heard Tobias chuckle.

My heart thumped as I rushed into my room. I couldn't close my bedroom door since it was still disarmed, so I ran into my closet instead. My chest was rising quickly and, as a result, my breaths were coming out irregularly.

"Are you serious going to play hide and seek with me? What are you, ten?" I heard him say in my room, well our room now.

"I'm not leaving until you promise you won't tickle me! You already know my bladder isn't the best right now!" I yelled back, my voice muffled due to the fact that my face was stuffed with clothes.

"Okay, fine! I won't tickle you!" He chuckled. I heard a creak outside my closet door and I knew it wouldn't be long until I'm forced out.

"You're lying! You're devious and you're going to tickle me no matter what I say- argh! Tobias. Let. Me. Go!"

Tobias was holding me upside down. I could feel his body shake from laughter and I scowled as a result.

"Oh, you're so going to get it," I huffed.

"Another shot of epi!"

"Sir, she's pregnant; we shouldn't even be charging her!"

"I don't care! I was wrong once; I'm going to save her," Dr. Johnson protested. "She's not going to die today."

"She's contracting! Her baby is coming and fast. We need to get to an OR fast and do a C-section," another voice yelled.

"Oh lord, Julian! Do something!" Noel screeched. "I can't loose my best friend and goddaughter. Not at the same time."

"Noel, I told you I can't-"

"I need silence!" Dr. Johnson yelled. "Noel, I need you to okay us taking her into surgery to do an emergency C-section."

"Isn't that bad? The baby has only been in her for six months!"

"It's the best chance we have. Either way the baby is coming whether we want her to or not. Noel, I need your consent, now!"

"Yes, yes!" She screamed. "Go and do whatever it takes. They both better be alive."

I heard them unhooking the many machines I was hooked up to and soon I felt myself being rolled out.

"I might've been rushing before, but I promise to do everything in my power to bring both Reign and get the baby back."

~*~

"Why hasn't she woken up yet? They said a day at the most!" Noel bellowed.

I heard Julian sigh. "We can never be sure with things like this, especially since she was already on life support. I'm still not sure what happened; they haven't told me anything."

My stomach was killing it. It was worse than the cramps I've ever experienced. I opened my eyes, blinking repeatedly as I tried to get used to my surroundings and saw I was wearing a hospital gown. Was I dead? Surely I was dead. Before I could only hear and feel things, but now I could actually see.

"Wait, did she just move?" Noel whispered.

I shifted my gaze towards the sound of her voice. She was in the corner, her arms crossed. Her hair was no longer nice and straight, but instead it was in a messy bun, not one of the nice ones. She was wearing yoga pants and cream-colored cardigan. Her face was scrunched up in concern as she walked towards me.

"Oh my god, Julian she's awake! Quick, get a doctor!" Noel gasped, placing her hand on my arm.

"Reign, how are you feeling? Are you okay?" Julian asked, ignoring Noel. He pulled out a small flashlight and started skimming it through my eyes.

I winced and pushed him back. "My stomach hurts. Where's Tobias? I need to see Tobias."

Noel looked at Julian with a pained look on her face. Julian gave her the same look and shook his head.

"What?" I asked, my heart thumping.

Every part of my body was hurting like hell, but I pushed myself up. There was a brace on my neck and I felt an uncomfortable sensation flow through my body. I looked down and saw that my stomach was no longer as big as it was before.

"Wait, where's my baby?" I asked, panicking. "Why... Why aren't you guys answering me!"

Julian sighed and sat at the edge of my bed. Noel sobbed a little before excusing herself out of the room, saying she was going to get a doctor.

"They needed to an emergency C-section on you. She was under a lot of stress-"

"She?" I gasped. "Is she okay? I want to see her, now."

I tried to rip away my blankets, but I felt my stomach pull every single muscle. Julian pushed me back gently. I didn't fight back; it felt like I just got ran over. Oh wait, I did.

"She's fine Reign. She had some complications trying to get her to lungs to work, but she's okay now."

"And Tobias? He was just here, I heard him," I told Julian, gripping my stomach in pain.

Julian frowned. "When was he here?"

I closed my eyes, feeling insanely tired. "I don't know, but he was here. I felt him."

"Reign, Tobias still hasn't woken up."

Just for clarification, the middle of this chapter was a hallucination. Also, when they were "charging" her she had flashbacks of things that happened. Additionally, I know I'm sort of rushing the ending, but today I started writing the first chapter of the sequel and I have to say I like what I have planned, I hope y'all do too!

Are you guys happy with this chapter? Of course, I wasn't going to kill off Reign and her baby! That would just be tragic.

Even I'm not that crazy lol.

What do you think is going to happen next?

And what should they name their little girl? :)

I looove each and every one of you. I value all your comments and votes, it makes me write faster! I hope y'all had a great week. Don't forget to vote/comment!
