-THIRD GIFT-

Francine's POV

I can't believe it. Thorn.. he sacrificed himself for me, to protect me from Grayson. Everything is going well so why did this happen to us. I'm finally free and ready to accept his love for me, I'm ready to walk beside him without caring about the other people's words. I'm finally happy so why?

With my tears still falling down my face, I watched as they took Thorn on the floor. He's not moving anymore, I don't even know if he's still alive or not but I hope he's still alive because I can't imagine myself without him. Without the man that loves me the most. I really love him. I know I pushed him away and rejected him so many times and I felt bad about it. Is this my karma? If it is then it's really painful.

They put him on a stretcher as they walked towards the ambulance. I want to go with them but they stopped me saying that they need to check me first if I'm okay. Only Chase and Bruce went with them.

"Are you okay?" Kyle, on my side asked in a soft tone as he put his coat around my shoulders. Now that I noticed, I've been trembling the whole time. I nodded at him but a sob escaped my mouth then my tears started to race down my cheeks.

"Sshh.. everything will be just fine. Don't worry." He comforted me but I just can't help but to get worried. I don't know if he's still alive or not.

"T-This is all m-my fault.." i stuttered as Kyle pulled me in between his arms. His hands are rubbing my back soothingly while resting his chin on the top of my head. I just cried and nothing else. I cried all my might while clutching on his shirt tightly.

After the police came here, Grayson's consciousness came back and they took him with them. I guess he'll be spending his life in the prison for the things that he did. His grandmother already knew what happened here and I'm surprised that she apologized to me. She said that Grayson have to learn his lessons in the right way. I was happy and at the same time sad.

Thorn.. please be alive.

"It's not your fault my dear Fran, nothing is your fault. So please stop blaming yourself for the things that happened." Kyle mumbled, kissing my head softly as I cried even more. I can't take it anymore. I can't breath, it's like my chest is tightening on its own and it's suffocating me.

"Kyle.. I love him. I love Thorn.." I whispered then bite my lower lip to surpass the threatening sob on my throat.

Running his fingers through my hair, I heard him say, "I know, and he loves you too. More than his own life."

After they checked me up. They drove me to the hospital where Thorn is as well. My heart is beating so fast I almost thought I'll die from it. My palms are cold and sweaty as I walked further inside the hospital.

"U-uhm.. may I know the number of Thorns room? Thorn Reeve." I completed his name as the nurse checked something from the folder she's holding then after some moment, she raised her head up to me and answered, "Room 106."

"Thanks." I smiled at her then walked towards the elevator to go to his room. Please Thorn be safe.. please stay alive, for me.

The elevator opened, Indicating that I've already reached the floor where his room at. My head feels heavy and I felt dizzy all of a sudden. Maybe because of nervousness and fear. I'm so scared right now. I don't know what to do. I don't know what happened here while I'm there. Is he okay? I hope he is.

Searching for his room, my feet stopped right in front of a cream colored door. Well, all the doors here are creamed colored but the number is different from the others. '106' I read as I swallowed hard. I didn't even noticed that I'm already gripping the door knob tightly, making my fist turn pale.

'Please let me find you sitting on the bed with a smile on your face.' I silently prayed.

As I twisted the door knob to open, I was greeted by a person. A person who's lying down on the bed with a white sheet covered his whole body. Oh my God.. this can't be.

My tears automatically escaped my eyes, I gasped loudly as I covered my mouth with my hand, muffling my sob as I stumbled run towards him. No, this can't be happening.

"N-No..w-why.. -dont leave m-me.." I sobbed as I hugged him tightly. Even though he was covered in a white sheet I can still feel how cold his body is and that only means one thing. He's dead.

I can't breath, my heart is clenching in pain as I felt thousands of needles sunk deeply through my heart making sure that it'll surely bleed and cause me pain. Why does this have to happen now?

"T-Thorn.. you're being u-unfair!" I screamed in-between my sobs as I hugged his corpse even tighter. "Y-you said you won't g-gonna leave me.. so w-why now? L-Look at you.. already l-lying down the bed.. coldy." I mumbled as I cried even more. I can't believe that he's already dead.

Sniffling, I tried wiping my tears but to only replace it with new set of tears. I don't know what to do. "T-Thorn.. please..get up ..I love you.." I whispered, feeling defeated by reality as I placed my head on his chest. No heartbeat. He's really gone.

"Who said I'm gonna leave you?" My eyes widened as I heard that familiar voice. Is he.. a ghost now?

Looking down at the corpse, I started to got scared as I gulped and blinked multiple times. He's already haunting me? But why me? Can't he just haunt Bruce or Kyle or Chase first?

"H-hey Thorn.. I-I know I've d-done lot of t-things to you but, d-don't scare me..please. I-I'll do everything y-you say...j-just don't haunt m-me I'm s-scared of ghost..y-you know that..do y-you?" I stuttered nervously as I watched the dead person who's covered in white sheet on the bed.

Clearing his throat, he uttered, "Turn around dummy."

Turning my head slowly behind me, I gasped as I saw Thorn smirking together with the others just outside the door. He's...he's alive!? Oh my God he's alive -wait.. then who's this...? Oh no.. damn, Francine you've embarrassed yourself once again.

"I just went out to have a bottle of water and you're already clinging to someone else? Ouch my princess." He spoked playfully as he put his hand on his heart as if it's hurting him. I know what I did is so embarrassing but I'll just pretend I didn't do it. Isn't it great?..or not?

"I-I'm not- wait.. you're a-alive.. I thought y-you're already g-gone." And once again, my tears streamed down my face as I tried my best to wipe them. I'm already standing beside the bed of that person who I've mistaken to be him. I'll apologize to that person later.

Walking towards me slowly, you can noticed that he's really badly injured but that didn't stopped him from getting to me. As soon as he came closed to me, he engulfed me in between his arms, letting me sunk in him as I cried even harder. My heart melted by the warmth of his embraced as I felt his lips on my temple and I blushed. He's so sweet and warm.

"I won't leave you my princess so don't worry okay? Remember this, whatever happens.. I'll always be with you, no matter what are the circumstances is, I know we can conquer it together. I love you." I smiled, I can't describe the happiness I'm feeling right now, in fact no words can describe this joy in me. I tightened the hug even more, being careful about the wound in his back as I sunk deeper in his warm embrace.

"I love you too Thorn." I whispered as he planted small sweet kisses on my head. It's like all of a sudden, I feel complete. He's my other half and now that he's here, I won't ever pushed him away nor reject him because right from the start. I love him.

"I-I'm so happy.." my tears began to stream down my face again but not in sadness anymore but in happiness. "I-I thought I'm gonna lose you-"

He cut my words by lifting my chin up to face him using his fingers as he wiped my tears with the other one. He smiled at me genuinely, showing his pearl like teeth. "You won't lose me. Never." My cheeks turned rosy red as I stared deeply and straightly in his eyes. He added, "I won't break my promise to your mother Francine and even if she didn't make that promise, I'll still protect you and love you with all my life. I won't let you get hurt because damn, you made this crazy guy became even crazier by your charm." I'm speechless but my heart is beating so fast for him. My cheeks are also burning while he's looking at me with his eyes full of love and affection.

"Smooooth~" Bruce broke the moment by mumbling that in a low tone. We all still heard it tho as we looked at him blankly.

"What?" He shrugged his shoulders as he looked at us innocently.

"Seriously? Gorilla." Sophie crossed her arms over her chest then everyone broke into laughter. She's here too, everyone is here except Sofia because she's with her parents. At least, everyone's safe now.

Laughing with them, I felt Thorns hand on mine as I looked at him, he just smiled at me then winked after that made me blushed all over again. He intertwined our fingers as he leaned himself on my side for support.

"Excuse me, who are you all?" A curvy woman entered the room as our laughter died. Oh gosh, she must be related to the person who's lying on the bed right now.

"I'm sorry.. my name's Francine and these are my friends. We entered the wrong room so I'm really sorry and I'm sorry for your lost." I apologized at her sincerely as she nodded her head before offering us a genuine but sad smile then after that we went out the room to give her time with her love one.

"Come to think of it. Why'd you entered that room?" Thorn asked while walking beside me. We're on our way to his real room. Chase and the others are trailing behind us.

"I thought it's your room. The nurse said 106 so I entered it knowing that it's yours but it turns out that the nurse is wrong." I pouted as he chuckled beside me. His arm is resting around my shoulder as he kissed my head.

"My rooms number is 109 and here we are." He said as we stopped right in front of his door. Oh, so the nurse told me the wrong number then. I'll sue that nurse later, because of that I've embarrassed myself.

"Don't do that. Cruelty doesn't suit you." Thorn mumbled beside me. Wait what- oh my God.

"Did I just voiced that out loud?" I asked as I looked at them and they all nodded their heads saying 'Yes' in unison. Oops.

"By the way, you said a while ago that you'll do everything I say right?" Eh? When did I- oh no..

Gulping hard, I slowly nodded my head while biting my bottom lip, waiting for his next words. I'm feeling nervous again but at the same time excited.

Thorns lips formed into a smirk as it slowly turns into a sweet smile. What's he up to?

"Then my princess.." he paused as he took something behind him. I can't see it because he hide it inside his fist. It's so silent. Everyone's attention is on us while I just stood here, right in front of the guy who made my heart beats so fast.

He continued, "Would you accept my third gift?" Third gift?

I opened my lips to ask what's his third gift but was cut in the middle when he moved and get on his one knee on the floor. My eyes widened as he revealed a little red box on his palm. Oh god..

"Will you marry me? my princess.", Opening the box, it revealed a shiny gold ring with a semi big emerald stone on top. Tears began to form from the corner of my eyes as they escaped down my cheeks freely. My heart is melting from the warmth of happiness I'm feeling right now.

"Yes Thorn. I'll marry you." I exclaimed happily with tears in my eyes as I extended my hand in front of him then he put the ring on my ring finger. It looks so beautiful.

"Awwww you look so cute together!! Congratulations sissy~." Sophie screamed while clapping her hands together, she's smiling at us genuinely and we smiled back at her.

"Thank you." I spoked softly as she showed me a thumbs up with a playful wink from her beautiful eyes.

"Damn, we all getting married." Bruce laughed as he eyes Chase. "You're the only single here Chasy, when will you find a girlfriend?" Kyle is the one who asked that as we all waited for his answer. Bruce is already laughing while Sophie is busy on elbowing him in his gut with a glare on her eyes.

"Soon.." Chase smirked as he stared somewhere. What's he looking at?

Looking at the direction of his eyes, we saw a beautiful girl who's wearing a floral dress then after that she entered the room a bit far from us.

"Couz, make a move." Thorn nudged him as he smirked.

"No need to tell me." He grinned then brought his eyes back on that direction.

"Let's just hope the girl is single too." Bruce whispered as Chase glared at him.

"Uh-oh time to run~", and with that, Bruce runs so fast, away from us with Chase tailing behind him.

"Hey wait up! I want to run too!!" Kyle shouted as he sprinted behind them. Wow. A running marathon inside the hospitals lobby? The guys are the only one who can pull that stunt haha.

"Gosh that guy!" Sophie exclaimed in anger as she stomped her foot on the floor. "Wait guys, I'll just teach my boyfriend a lesson."

We watched her back as it slowly disappeared from our eyes. Now, we're the only one who's here.

"I love you Francine." Thorn whispered on my ear huskily that made me looked at him. We were inches apart and I can smell his minty breath that's fanning on my lips. My eyes fluttered while looking at him.

"I love you too Thorn." And with that, his lips crashed into my lips as we sunk in each others arms. His lips moved expertly against my mouth as I kissed him back with the same intensity and love.

After a moment, he broke the kiss slowly as he cupped my cheeks with his warm hands, his forehead on my forehead as his eyes pierced my green orbs.

He whispered lovingly, "Welcome to my life, Mrs. Francine Bellamy Reeve."
