Colton did what I asked and left his information on my desk. So, I guess he did know where my office was located. It was on a sticky note and it had his number, address, and the time the gathering started on it, and also a little note that read, "Come dressed in casual wear. I look forward to getting to know you better." ;).

I chuckled at the wink he left me and shook my head. Did I even have anything casual to wear? What was considered casual? All I really wore was house clothes and work clothes. I never really had to think about an in-between. I would have to figure all of this out when I got home. I gave Lisa a stack of files and that annoyed her, but I left before she could go on a rant.

As I exited the building, I made my way to my car, to find Roman standing next to it, briefcase in hand. He was staring at his phone in his other hand, and I quickly swiped a hand over my clothes to make sure it was straight. He looked good in his all-black suit, squeaky clean, glossy black shoes. His tie was gray with small black dots on it. How he wore all black all the time and was still able to make it look good was beyond me. I willed my mind to stop thinking about him in that way. I already made my decision...right?

"Do you need something?" I asked when I was close enough for my voice to reach him. Roman looked up sharply, a smile appearing on his face when we made eye contact.

"It's more like a want, rather than a need actually." He answered when I reached my car. I gestured for him to move out of my way, and he stepped to the side, giving me access to the driver's side door. I turned my back to it, facing Roman again, and leaned back, tilting my head.

"What is it that you want?" I changed up my question, which made his eyes darken. That made a flush spread across my chest. "Stop it. You can't look at me like that, Roman." My voice came out in a whisper and he took a step forward closer to me, glancing at my lips before staring into my eyes.

"And why is that?" he asked, eyes drinking up my outfit. My body heated under his intense gaze and I sucked in a breath, glancing around.

"Because you're staring at me like," I glanced around again to make sure no one was watching us. Everyone in the parking lot was preoccupied. "like you want to eat me." I whispered the end, poking my finger into his chest. He grabbed my finger and slid his warm hand over mine, taking another step closer that had him almost chest to chest with me. His body heat collided with mine and I found it harder to breathe with him so close. I opened my mouth to tell him to back up, to remember we were only going to be friends, but the words never left. His gaze was so intense, I couldn't help but stare back, mouth parting as I glanced at his lips.

"It's because I do want to eat you, love." He leaned in until his lips were level with my ear. "Badly. But I know we can't. I'll do better with the eyes." He whispered in my ear and I shivered as his breath tickled my skin. He leaned back and checked his watch. I straightened up and slid my hand out of his, clearing my throat.

"You never answered my question," I spoke, opening my door. I tossed my purse inside the car and got in right after, situating myself.

"I would like for you to shadow me tomorrow." He responded, making me look up sharply.

"And do what?" I asked, narrowing my eyes. If he thought I was going from one person to another just to do more filing, he had another one coming. He smirked.

"Don't worry, I won't have you lugging files back and forth like Lisa. I just want you to observe what I do on a day-to-day basis, shadow me in some meetings, stuff like that. How does that sound?" He arched a brow and I nodded, not even needing to think about it. Anything was better than being with Lisa.

"I'd like that. See you tomorrow." I gave him a smile before shutting my door. He gave me a small wave before stepping away from the car and I waved back before driving away. I sighed, shaking my head as I thought about what happened in the parking lot. I was going to let him kiss me. Right in the middle of the parking lot in front of everyone. It was like I had no control over my body, like the promiscuous side of me was begging to be let out, to have some fun, be scandalous. I would've thought after our conversation and deciding to just be friends, it would dampen my attraction for him and his attraction for me. I could see now that it didn't do anything. I patted my cheek to get me out of those thoughts. Tonight, was about Colton and his little gathering. I had no idea what I was going to wear.

"Davis, help!" I yelled when I entered our apartment. He ran from around the corner.

"What happened? Who do I need to kill?" he asked, breathless with wild eyes. I chuckled and gestured for him to follow me.

"Nobody, calm down. I just need help with finding something to wear. It's supposed to be casual." I explained to him as I entered my room, tossing my purse on the bed. He gasped behind me.

"Are you going on a date? Please tell me you're going on a date?" He followed me into the bathroom, and I took my earrings off, glancing at him in the mirror.

"I wouldn't say it's a date," I started, and his eyes grew wider.

"Speak, tell me more! I need details!" He clapped his hands together, making me laugh.

"I met the CFO of the company and he invited me to a little gathering he's having with some coworkers and friends," I explained nonchalantly, walking to my closet.

"Is he hot? What happened with Roman? I could've sworn you were about to take a ride on his-"

"Yes, he is very attractive," I interrupted Davis before he could finish his sentence. I didn't need a reminder about Roman's dick. "He's tall and goofy and alluring and this is not a date, but if it turns into something more, I wouldn't be upset." I shrugged, staring at the clothes in my closet. I purposely didn't answer his question about Roman because I still didn't tell him about the girlfriend situation.

"Well, then we need to make you sexy, but casual at the same time." He rummaged through my closet until he pulled something off the hanger. "What about this?" he asked me, holding it up against his body. It was a jumpsuit that I forgot I had. It was black with a strap that went over my head, the only thing holding up the piece. It was backless and the front had a deep v cut which I liked, and the legs were flared. It was casual, yet sexy at the same time.

"It's perfect. Now, flats or heels?"
