Bailey's POV:

I looked around the dining table that grew from sitting three people to sitting 11, me, mom, dad, Aunt Jacky, Carmen with her dad, Tyler and his parents then Skylar with Sage and Dean. All of us eating dinner that my parents put together as congratulations for us graduating. I didn't know this was happening and what's worse is that I didn't know that they were waiting for Skylar and I to get back.

It was pretty silent, I stole glances from Carmen and Skylar who are sitting across from me, Tyler keeps poking at his food just like his parents, the only ones who are loud are Sage, Dean, and Skylar as they pack their faces with food I made them since they said they were allergic to pork which I know is a complete lie.

"This is amazing, I'll never get tired of your cooking swear to God." Dean says with his mouth full and the grown-ups just stare at him. "Mhm!" Sage and Skylar agree. "They're right but Bailey what were you and Skylar doing for so long, we were waiting quite a bit." My mom asks me swallowing her food, "We just had to talk about something important." I generalize our conversation, I'm not going to spill everything to her, let alone everyone at this table.

"What's so important that you can't tell us?" She adds and I glance at Carmen who slightly shrugs, "You know something important can be something not so important to someone else because of morals and priorities like how some law cases are big but to others, they think they're small." Tyler randomly interjects trying to take the light off of me. He understands the strain my parents have on me.

"Are you sick?" Carmen's dad asks him then Carmen hits his chest, "Dad, don't say that he's fine." She defends Tyler then I see Skylar flinch in her seat and look at Aunt Jacky. I raise an eyebrow as Skylar looks at me, I'm definitely missing something. She clears her throat loud enough for everyone to hear and we all look at her.

"I just wanted to apologize to Bailey for hurting her and I want to apologize to you two for doing that to your daughter because I do love her, a whole lot so much that I've asked her to be my girlfriend." She tells them reaching over the table and she takes my hands in hers, gasps are heard all around the table except for the cheers from the obviously excited people.

Dad's mouth hung open and mom was in shock or surprise, maybe disapointment. I can't tell and it makes me grip Skylar's hand stronger, is there where I'm supposed to choose? Just like what Aunt Jacky said, am I going to stick by Skylar or go back to my parents.

"And I said yes." I let a smile creep onto my face as more cheers enter my ear, one in particular literally right by my ear, "Thank you Carmen you can sit down now, you too Ty." I look over my shoulder as they're an inch away from me, "You said yes to being her girlfriend?" Dad points his fork at her and I nod. My mom's face is still unfazed.

"You said yes. Oh she said yes." Dad stands up suddenly and hugs Skylar tight enough for her to drop my hand and I'm pretty sure I heard her wheeze. "She did say yes." I hear her wheeze again making me laugh but then I quickly stop when I look at my mom. She's no longer in shock but she isn't having the same reaction as dad.

Dinner ended and everyone went home leaving me, mom, dad, Aunt Jacky and Skylar who's currently helping my dad in the garage while we clean the kitchen. "I'm so happy for you!" I drop a plate in the sink when Aunt Jacky hugs me. "Thank you." I hug her back, "Bailey will you come with me please." I turn around seeing my mom on the stairs and I let go of my Aunt following mom up to her bedroom.

I stand by her bed as she closes the door then she crosses her arms over her chest. "I know you told me that the period of time you were going through something had to do with Skylar and that's why Carmen was here pretty much twenty four-seven so please explain to me why you're with Skylar now, officially now." She sits on her bed leaning against the head board.

"Because I understand now why she did what she did." I never did tell her the whole reason, I just said something that'll she'll believe, hopefully she still believes. "So you just forgive Skylar for almost dropping you off her bike?" She asks and I nod slowly, now hearing it from her mouth I could've come up with a better excuse for being upset.

"It was my fault because I didn't listen, she told me to hang on but I didn't so I shouldn't be blaming her." I say fiddling with my fingers behind my back, she didnt' say anything, just stared at me or at something behind me. "I still don't think that Skylar is good for you, I don't know what your dad see's in her that I don't but I stand by my gut." She tells me then we hear a slight bang from underneath us then loud laughter from dad and Skylar.

"It's fine that you two are together, I don't care that's your choice I already accept you because you're my daughter and it's my job to love you unconditionally in which I do but that doesn't mean I have to love Skylar the same, in fact I don't love her and I dont' even like her but you're with her so I deal with it but." She finishes there.

"But what?" I bit the inside of my cheek. "But just because you're with her doesn't mean you go jumping into the same holes that she's jumping into. You don't follow her every move because it's obvious she lives a troubled life which explains a few things that I saw with her family tonight but anyways, you do not and I mean do not just chase her around, even if she needs help that doesn't mean you go jumping into that same hole. I will not have you live the same life that she does. Not when you have so many opportunities here like college." She pulls her comforter over her legs and switches the T.V. on.

"Do you understand me?" She demands and I nod, "I swear Bailey, if you run away because of her. I won't care about what I do to find you and to stop her." She says seriously without batting an eye at me. I swallow deeply turning on my heel and I step outside of her room taking a deep breath in.

"Are you okay?" I jump from the voice and I see Skylar sitting on my bed across the hall, I sigh in relief and I make my way over to her sitting beside her and I lay my head on her shoulder, "I'm fine." I say taking her hand in mine and I trace her veins lightly. "You look tired." She kisses the top of my head and I nod, "Yeah, it's been a lot today. Graduation, our talk, then this surprise dinner." I bring my other hand to rub my eyes.

"I hope you like your gift though, it was hard trying to choose the model." She chuckles lightly, oh right I didn't even give her gift yet. I quickly stand up and I open my closet looking around the floor for a box. "What are you doing?" She asks but I continue to look, "Nothing just close your eyes and hold your hands out." I tell her and I peer over my shoulder seeing her do exactly what I said.

"There." I see her smirk and I shake my head, "Don't think dirty thoughts, this isn't dirty." I huff and another chuckle comes from her. I finally find the box and I take it out ripping it open. I hope she likes this, it'll come in handy. I place it in her hands and she grips it tightly, "Can I open my eyes now?" She raises an eyebrow then I hold her chin between my fingers leaning down planting a soft kiss on her lips. "Yes you can." I lean back up and she smiles as she opens her eyes.

"Oh man, I was really hoping to see your boobs in my hands." She says looking back up at me and my mouth drops open, "What?" She asks seriously, "I like your boobs." She continues speaking about my chest but I couldn't find anything to say back.

"I'm just kidding this is so fucking dope. Matte black holy shit" She laughs pulling the new motorcycle helmet over her head. She pulls the visor up and winks at me and my cheeks heat up. "You got me a helmet!" Her voice muffles, "Mhm because your other helmet is being held together by ducktape so you need a new one plus you do actually need it since you like to go over hundred when riding." I feel her hands land on my waist and she pulls me closer.

"You got this so I'm safe?" She questions tilting her head and I nod. "It's dangerous riding one of those things, the least you can do is put on a helmet." I sit on her lap taking the helmet off her and I watch her hair frizz up and I hold my laugh back from hearing the static. She attempts to keep her hair flat but it doesn't work.

"Thank you." She holds me tighter and I wrap my arms behind her neck. "You're welcome." I smile and so does she. "Also I can't run away with you." I deadpan and her face immediately drops. "Way to ruin the moment Beans." She groans pull the both of us onto the bed making me gasp a little.
