Jungkook is stressed. Out of all the packs, why did Taehyung have to come from the Crimson Shadow pack? He absolutely hates that pack and he has a good reason for hating them. Now he can understand the things a little bit clearer. If Taehyung comes from the Crimson Shadow pack, then the asshole who he called his mate must be from there too. It infuriates him.

He links Hoseok to come to his office and once the older is there, he tells him to find out more about the Crimson Shadow pack because a few years ago, they shifted from where they used to live. Since they never bothered the Dark Wood pack after that until recently, they never tried to find out about their whereabouts.

Once Hoseok goes out of his office, Jungkook sighs deeply and rests his head on his desk. He hasn't been sleeping properly for the past two days. He couldn't sleep the day before yesterday because he was continuously thinking about Taehyung and yesterday he couldn't sleep because he got to know that Taehyung came from the Crimson Shadow pack. Jungkook knows that the answers to all his questions are at the Crimson Shadow pack so he needs to trace them and find out more about them.

Soon there's a knock at his door. He tells the person to come in and fixes his his hair with his fingers. He wonders if he even looks like a head alpha right now or if he just looks like a tired mess.

"Hello, alpha Jeon." It's Namjoon who entered his office. Jungkook stands up and greets him, "Hello, hyung. And since you told me to call you hyung, please call me Jungkook."

"Okay, Jungkook." The older smiles at him. The people from the Night Walker pack are really nice.

"I found out which pack attacked us along with the rogues." Namjoon says. Jungkook looks at him curiously, a cue for Namjoon to continue.

"It's the Crimson Shadow pack."

The training ground of the pack is busier today. Everyone is training harder and with more determination. Taehyung, who has been watching it from the kitchen that has a window overlooking the training area, is surprised. Is some kind of a fight going to happen that they are training this hard?

"What are you thinking about, Tae?" He hears Seokjin's voice from behind him. "Is something going to happen, hyung? They are training so hard today." Taehyung says, his eyes fixed at Jungkook who is telling everyone to do better. Namjoon is telling them how to defend themselves. Yoongi is there too.

"Apparently they found out which pack was behind the attack on our pack and they are planning to do something about it." Seokjin says. Taehyung looks surprised at the new information. "So who was it?"

"The Crimson Shadow pack." Seokjin answers. Taehyung's eyes widen. He wasn't expecting this. Why did they come after the pack he was currently living with? Did they find out about his whereabouts? Was his life going to be in danger again?

"Hey, Tae. What are you thinking?" Seokjin asks. Taehyung looks at him, desperately wanting someone to talk to but he can't. He isn't courageous enough to do that. Also if he suddenly tells Seokjin and Namjoon about it, they would be so disappointed. They would think that he has been living with them for months now but still he did not trust them. But the reality is that he trusts them a lot. It's just that he doesn't trust himself.

"Taehyung?" Seokjin shakes Taehyung's shoulder to bring him back to reality. "Sorry, I kinda zoned out." He smiles sheepishly at the older.

"So what are we going to do about the Crimson Shadow pack?" Taehyung asks Seokjin.

"We are obviously gonna find out the reason why they are after us. We never offended them in anyway. But this may lead to things getting violent because that pack is nothing but trouble. So they are getting ready for any challenges that might come up." Seokjin says, pointing towards the people who are training hard. Taehyung nods his head as they keep looking out.

Soon they hear someone's scream. They lean over at the window to see what happened. There is Choi Jongho, lying on the ground, screaming in pain.

"Hey Jongho, are you okay?" Jungkook asks as he rushes over to the young beta.

"I'm... okay, hyung." He tries to say bravely once he gains his composure again. "No you're not." Jungkook says as he examines the younger's ankle. He looks towards the kitchen window then and says in a loud voice, "Seokjin hyung, can you take a look at his feet? Seems like he hurt his ankle."

Seokjin nods and rushes towards the training ground. Taehyung's eyes are still focused outside and they meet Jungkook's just for a few seconds. His heart starts beating faster as the true blood stares back but they both soon look away.

They have been like this since the breakfast they had the other day. Jungkook has not been talking to him since the time Taehyung told him that he was once a part of the Crimson Shadow pack. Taehyung hasn't seen him smile since then. Jungkook did not even spend time with Soobin like he usually did. Taehyung wonders if Jungkook hates him now.

Why does it even matter, Taehyung? It's not like you and Jungkook are a thing. He says to himself.

"You guys should continue training with Namjoon hyung and Alpha Yoongi. I have some important business to take care of so I'll see you all later." Jungkook says to everyone and leaves the training ground.

Taehyung sighs and turns around to grab a banana. Besides breastfeeding, he needs Soobin to eat something as well. So a banana sounds good. Once he takes it, he starts walking out of the kitchen but he doesn't pay attention on the way and bumps into someone. He quickly looks up to apologise to whoever he bumped into but his eyes widen when he sees Jungkook.

"J-Jungkook-ssi!" He whisper, not quite having the courage to call him by his name.

"I'm sorry, Taehyung." Jungkook says, his face void of any expression. "It's okay. It's my fault though. I wasn't looking where I was going. So I'm sorry."

"It wasn't your fault." Jungkook says a little sternly. Taehyung doesn't know how to feel about this. He likes the sweet Jungkook better who talks to him and Soobin and makes efforts to get to know them better. But this Jungkook who isn't talking to Taehyung isn't the Jungkook he wants. Taehyung wonders if it's his own fault because he did ignore the older or just talked to him when necessary.

Jungkook snaps his fingers in front of Taehyung's eyes when he sees that the younger seems lost. "Shouldn't you go to Soobin? I can clearly hear him crying." Jungkook says. Taehyung can hear his baby crying too. He quickly nods and walks away.

A few days pass. It has been the same routine for everyone. Jungkook still didn't talk much to Taehyung. They did it when it was absolutely necessary though which didn't happen often because Taehyung wasn't a part of any of the squads that would be taking care of the rogues and the Crimson Shadow pack business.

He sighs and tells himself that whatever happens, happens for the better. Maybe something positive will come out of all this. And also, he already has a mate so he shouldn't even be thinking about trying to get Jungkook's attention. What if his asshole of a mate finds out about it and comes for him? His life would be a living hell. Again.

He looks at Soobin who is playing in Seokjin's lap. His pup looks happy and happiness is what he deserves. He smiles at him, wondering if he could himself ever be so happy and carefree.

"Taehyung, why don't you come and play with us?" Seokjin asks him. Taehyung shakes his head with a smile. "I'm going out for a while. My wolf needs a run." Taehyung says.

Seokjin nods his head. "Stay safe and come back soon, yeah? We both know Soobin cannot sleep without you beside him."

Taehyung nods and walks over to his son. He kisses his forehead and says, "Mama will be back soon, okay baby? Don't bother Jinie uncle a lot."

Soobin smiles at his mother and kisses him on the cheek. Taehyung ruffles his soft hair and after saying goodbye to Seokjin, he moves out of the house.

After a few minutes, Taehyung finds himself in the middle of the forest in his wolf form. He has a lot on his mind lately and to distract himself from thinking too much about it, he thought running was a good option.

He starts running, exploring the forest. The fast blowing wind makes him excited. He somehow feels encouraged. Running through the forest like this helps him clear his mind but then he hears the sound of some wolves howling. He abruptly stops. His heartbeat quickens. What if they are some dangerous alphas or betas? What if they are rogues or worse, what if they are from the Crimson Shadow pack?

Taehyung slowly walks behind a bush and tries to hide. Four werewolves come into sight. They are big in size. They are definitely not omegas. Taehyung squeezes his eyes shut, praying to God that they go away so that he can be safe. But it feels like God does not hear him. Soon he is surrounded by the four werewolves who keep approaching him from all the directions.

It's pretty late at night and everyone in the pack house is already in their rooms except Jungkook. He is in his office, working on the strategy to find out about why the Crimson Shadow pack was after the Night Walker pack. Since his pack and the Crimson Shadow pack haven't been on the best terms, he needs to safeguard his people too as they might get in trouble as well for helping the Night Walker pack.

After a few minutes, he smells the scent of the little alpha nearby. His eyebrows furrow in confusion. Shouldn't Soobin be asleep already? After a few seconds, he hears the sound of someone sniffing and sobbing. He knows who it is. His senses heighten. He quickly gets up from his seat and walks to the door of his office.

He opens it and sees a heartbreaking sight in front of him. Soobin is sitting on the floor, crying his eyes out. Jungkook quickly bends down and picks him up in his arms.

"Hey little one, what happened? Why are you crying, beautiful?" He asks, softly wiping away the tears from the baby's bambi eyes.

But Soobin wraps his arms around Jungkook and keeps crying. He would be lying if he said that he didn't feel bad seeing Soobin like this. He loves Soobin. The pup is cute and he can make him smile even without knowing. Spending time with the little one makes Jungkook happy but he hasn't even been able to do that lately because he is not really talking to Taehyung and going near Soobin means being near Taehyung.

He feels sad for not talking to Taehyung but he is helpless. He is angry at himself and he doesn't even want to think about the reason for it but he can't escape from the reality. He needs to solve the problem before trying to win Taehyung over. Well, that's what he thinks.

He looks at the pup in his arms. He is dozing off to sleep. Maybe he is too tired after crying.

"Jungkook!" He hears Seokjin's worried voice. The older runs towards him and looks at Soobin who looks peaceful while sleeping in the arms of the true blood. Seokjin rubs the little alpha's back lightly. He is glad that he slept because it was hard for him to see him crying.

"He was crying a lot, hyung. Where is Taehyung? How did he slip away from him again?" Jungkook asks, looking at the baby, patting his back lovingly.

"I wanted to talk to you about that, Jungkook." Seokjin says, his eyes hold seriousness.

"What is it, hyung?"

"Taehyung went for a run hours ago... but..."

"But?" Jungkook gets impatient. He is not having a very good feeling about this.

"But he did not return yet."
