"Why are you so happy?" Bellamy asked confused. "You're acting as if yesterday didn't happen."

Happiness didn't pour out of me, a thick sheet of it merely covered my surface. Beneath that sheet I was still coming to terms with a few things, I didn't need to act depressed to do that, it would only achieve bringing everyone else's mood down. For now I'd act like all the bad stuff didn't exist.

"I'm over it, Bellamy. It's a new day!" I spun for effect. "You've got to move on and let all that past baggage go. You have to forgive people's mistakes, as well as, forgive yourself."

Bellamy studied me critically before seemingly nodding in agreement which got me to grin. "You've taken those berries again. I knew it."

My smile dropped immediately. I slapped his arm then scolded him the only way I knew how- foul language.

"You're the king off assholes," I threw in some theatrics for good measure, "I'm a recovering addict. Why would you use that against me." I fake sobbed.

"Aaand scene."

"Fuck you, Blake." I cursed his good looks crossed with his hot, smug face. "Will you carry me? My feet hurt." I whined out like I hadn't just insulted him so casually.

"No."

"Please."

"No."

I stopped weaving through the skyscraping trees and rested my hands on my hips. "I'm only here because of you. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't show you moral support, when doing bad things? I'd be a shit one."

"What's your point?"

"I'm here because of you and I haven't slept yet, so now I'm fragile. A grounder could take me out easily in this state. Please?" I batted my eyelashes and pouted a little bit.

"Okay. Okay, stop." Bellamy caved to my delight. I got to jump on the back of a really attractive guy and I was living for it. As long as my attraction to Bellamy didn't go any further, then I wouldn't be cheating on Orion. I was just showing appreciation for a good body- harmless stuff.

Bellamy's hands reflexively gripped my thighs shooting pleasurable tingles up and down my body. His grip stayed firm yet soft. Fuckboy Blake knew how to hold a girl.

"You can sleep whilst I carry you, if you want," Bellamy uttered.

"Okay."

"Bellamy! What are you doing?"

I jerked awake at the sudden yell and scowled at my rude awakening. Octavia came bolting through the trees and marched up to her brother with soft anger.

"Eden? What are you doing here?"

Well, fuck.

"Go back to camp. It isn't safe." Bellamy dismissed straight away.

"You lied to everyone. You lied to me. You just want whatever's in that pod. You even dragged Eden along." Octavia started getting worked up.

"Just go home!" Bellamy barked.

"She's your sister. Calm down," I whispered into his ear.

"You always want to play big brother, huh? Well, guess what? Jokes on me. You're just a selfish dick."

"Vi, stop! He's your brother, he's always looked out for you."

She scoffed.

"I did this for you! To protect you. If the Ark finds out we're alive, they'll come down. And when they do...I'm dead."

The gravity of Bellamy's words dawned on my best friend. "What did you do?"

"I shot him. I shot Jaha."

"What?" Octavia looked at me suspiciously. "You knew about this. How could you not say anything?"

"He told me in confidence," I murmured like it would ease the situation.

"I found out they were sending you to Earth. I couldn't let you go alone. Someone came to me with a deal. Do this, kill him, and they'd get me on the dropship. And I did it."

"You killed the chancellor?"

"He floated our mother. He locked you up. He deserved it." Bellamy pleaded with his little sister, begging for her to see he's only ever tried to keep her safe. But I knew Octavia, that's not what she wanted- it's not what she needed.

"I didn't ask you to do that."

"You're right. I made the choice. This is on me. Whatever they sent down, I'll take care of it."

"I didn't ask for any of this." Octavia ran away as fast as she had come. I expected Bellamy to go after her, but then I remembered why we stood here in the forest.

"It'll be okay," I reassured.

"Will it?"

"Of course. You're siblings, she can hate me forever but not you." I encouragingly rubbed his broad shoulder before slumping over him again like a human backpack.

We settled into silence whilst Bellamy trekked forward. I wanted to reassure him and make his doubt disappear, but honestly I didn't have the right words to do that. So instead of really trying, I waited a few long minutes then spoke.

"I spy with my little eye something beginning with-"

"Are we seriously doing this."

"Until you participate- yes."

And so it went on. Me doing what I do best: trying to have fun in precarious situations and Bellamy refusing to participate. For the entire tedious journey I basically played I Spy with myself. Bellamy whined every now and then, I carried on as if I never heard his protests, it was quite funny or I was just losing it due to lack of sleep.

We had come a long way when Bellamy finally caved in and chose to play with me

"Fine! Okay. Okay, I'll play the stupid game. What letter?"

"B. You have three tries."

"Butterflies?"

"Nope."

"...Bossy red head?" I heard the smirk in his voice.

"No!"

"I give up then."

I grinned as I revealed the answer. "Beauty and the beast."

"There's no-" Bellamy angled his head to witness my cheeky smile. "Ha ha. I guess I'm beauty then."

I snickered, "You're called 'Bell' for a reason, Princess."

"Do-"

"Your turn!" I chirped ignoring his scowl.

"P."

"P- what?"

"The letter is P."

"You have to say the whole thing."

If Bellamy was gonna play this game, I would make him play it right, purely just to annoy him.

"No I don't."

"That's how it works. You're not special."

Bellamy scoffed and looked at me. "Really?"

I bit my lip to stop my grin and teasingly glared at him. Annoying him entertained me. "Really. Now say it right."

Bellamy groaned and jerked me in his arms for affect. What a baby. "I spy with my little eye something beginning with P."

"Penis," I exclaimed straight away. "Pric-"

"No! God, look around."

I snickered whilst scanning the area. The yellowish grass swayed tall, not too many trees around. I let my eyes roam around searching hard for whatever Bellamy had spotted. Maybe he was being a penis and tricking me. Not too hard to believe.

Right as I was about to give Bellamy a piece of my mind, I saw it.

"Pod."

"No."

"There. The Pod, we found it!" I wriggled and slithered out of Bellamy's safe hold. I grabbed his hand and dragged him towards it.

Broken, dented metal emitted a little gas around it. Cracks in the windows formed spider web patterns. It'd be a miracle if whatever they sent stayed in good order.

"Stay here," Bell muttered to me before heading forward and ripping open the door.

"What's in there?" I called.

"Nothing important we can't come back for with the others!" Bellamy came back to me boasting a radio and a nervous expression. "We just get rid of this and we're good."

"Are you sure this is a good idea?"

"Yeah. I don't wanna get locked up and I don't want you locked up. Simple. It's the Ark, they won't forget."

I nodded in understanding. We jogged away, well, Bellamy began jogging and made sure to drag me along. We stumbled upon a lake where Bellamy decided to throw the device in the water. It fizzled then we left.

We trudged back the way we came- Bellamy trudged whilst he carried me- and it was safe to say, Bellamy was enjoyable to hang out with when he was co-operative.

"Hey! Where is it?" I almost jumped five feet in the air, at Clarke's sudden voice.

"Hey, Princess, you taking a walk in the woods?" Bellamy spoke coolly.

"Eden?" A look of confusion furrowed Clarke's brows.

"Hi," I dragged out awkwardly. I guess she didn't bump into Octavia. "What's the problem?"

"They're getting ready to kill three hundred people up there to save oxygen, and I can guarantee you it won't be council members. It'll be working people." Clarke shoved her finger into Bellamy's chest for emphasis. "Your people."

Shit! That's awful. Guilt began to riddle my mind.

Finn came out of nowhere and shoved Bellamy. I fell to the floor with a thud and stayed there. "Bellamy, where's the radio?"

Bellamy quick to retaliate glared Finn down, "Watch it. I have no idea what you're talking about."

I heard more footsteps and jumped up defensively. An unknowm brunette came marching over as if she wasn't a stranger. I drew the knife Bellamy made me and directed it at her.

"Who the fuck are you?"

"Eden!" Finn exclaimed.

"You don't remember me?" She chuckled.

"I just asked who you are, didn't I?" I spoke sarcastically.

Nothing about her rung any bells in my head, pretty silent up there. Brown hair in a ponytail, brown eyes... Nothing really stood out that would help me remember her. I spent the majority of my time in Hydra Station, anyone not from our sector wasn't allowed in; they said it was for safety precautions because we made water for the Ark.

"Eden Taylor," she mused. "I'm Raven Reyes. I'm from Mecha station; I worked with your boyfriend: Orion Salvatore. We met once but it was brief."

A blurry image in my head seemed to sort itself out. Raven's face popped up. She had chosen to walk towards Mecha station with Orion and we had met. I remember her talking fondly about a Finn that-

Oh.

My eyes drifted to Finn who stood defensively by Raven, then to Clarke.

Wow.

"Is he down here, too? He disappeared on the Ark. I saw him though, at the Unity Ball." Raven sounded excited to see a ghost. She didn't know.

"He's not here." I dropped my arm down and turned away, leaving her to lay eyes on Bellamy.

"Bellamy Blake? They're looking everywhere for you."

"Shut up." We both gritted out.

"Looking for him, why?"

"He shot Chancellor Jaha."

Clarke turned to face Bellamy and all I could think: here we go again.

"That's why you took the wristbands. Needed everyone to think we're dead."

"All that 'whatever the hell we want'? You just care about saving your own skin."

Bellamy shook his head and motioned to me that we were leaving.

"Bellamy, this is really bad." I whispered.

"We can't do anything. The radio won't work now."

We got some way away before Raven came barreling over. "Hey! Shooter! Where's my radio?" She skipped ahead of us and blocked our path.

"Get out of my way." Bellamy demanded.

"Where is it?"

"Just move," I huffed.

"No. Where is it?

"I should've killed you when I had the chance." Bellamy uttered. My eyebrows shot up, Raven had been in that pod. I glared a crater into the side of Bellamy's head.

"Really? Well, I'm right here." Raven taunted. In seconds, Bellamy had her pinned up against a tree, but Raven had her knife directed at Bellamy. "Where's my radio?"

I rolled my eyes at Bellamy's predicament, he tells me to use a weapon more. Two steps forward and I had my knife against Raven's neck.

"Okay. I have to say this was entertaining, but I'd appreciate- Raven- if you could move your knife from my friend's neck. I've grown to like him." I smiled.

"Okay, stop it."

At Clarke's voice Bellamy let Raven go, so I withdrew my knife watching Raven closely.

"Jaha deserved to die. You all know that." Bellamy stated.

"Yeah, he's not my favorite person either, but he isn't dead."

"What?" Bellamy and I exclaimed simultaneously. The only Jaha dead was Wells. This whole situation backfired quickly, like a rapid wildfire.

"You're a lousy shot."

Clarke approached us focusing on Bellamy. "Bellamy, don't you see what this means? You're not a murderer. You always did what you had to do to protect your sister. That's who you are. And you can do it again by protecting three hundred of your people." Clarke faced me. "Eden, tell him. You both don't want to be the cause of three hundred deaths, do you? Where's the radio?"

I bit my lip and looked up into Bellamy's blank eyes. "Bellamy, we have to help..."

"It's too late."

●▪︎●

"Eden, be careful," Bellamy muttered from his place on the grass.

We told them where we dumped the radio so they got more people to help search the waters, even Callum was here. I scanned the water nearby Bellamy, whilst he kept instructing me to be careful which I found endearing, even if Bellamy said it with a sour face.

"Why don't you help me?" I suggested.

"Because even if we find the stupid thing, it won't work."

I sighed and wadded through the water back towards Bellamy to whisper, "Think positively, because trust me three hundred lives on your conscious is- I can't put it into words Bellamy; that's how bad it is. Trust me one is bad enough."

I killed my mum.

I got my boyfriend killed.

I killed a guard.

Atom brought my list up to a nauseating four.

"Hey! I found it!"

I drew my eyes away from Bellamy's stare and jumped up heading over to the others.

"Can you fix it?"

"Maybe, but it'll take half the day just to dry out the components to see what's broken." Raven frowned.

"Like I said, it's too late."

Clarke stomped over to Bellamy's nonchalant frame. His face remained neutral, he didn't even flinch at Clarke's outburst. "Do you have any idea what you did? Do you even care?!"

"You asked me to help. I helped."

"Three hundred people are gonna die today because of you!"

"Hey!" I intervened. "You can't solely blame Bellamy."

Clarke's heated gaze swapped to me. "You're right. You're to blame as well."

"Yeah we threw a fucking radio into a lake, and? We didn't know people were going to die."

"Well now you do. And I hope you feel sick with yourselves."

I clenched my jaw biting back any retaliation. We'd only be going in circles.

"Hold up." Raven cut up our bickering. "We don't have to talk to the Ark. We just have to let them know we're down here, right?"

"Yeah, but how do we do that with no radio?" Finn questioned.

"Shoot rockets into the fucking sky," I said sarcastically annoyed at the situation.

Raven looked at me like I was God's newest gift. Her brown eyes glimmered with hope and her lips quirked into an appreciative smile.

"No. You're right. That's exactly what we'll do."

●▪︎●

Smoke billowed around the 100. Three people lit up the rockets. Golden embers spat out igniting the flares into a glowing fluorescent red. One after the other, they shot up into the sky like shooting stars. Mesmerising.

"Make a wish."

My eyes stayed glued to the dark sky as I waited for Callum to reply.

"I wish-" A humourless laugh. "What do you even wish on something like this."

"Forgiveness."

I wish they see the flares and nobody else has to die. I couldn't even feel sorry for myself because it was my reckless actions that contributed.

"Eden-"

"It's okay, Callum."

After a while, I disappeared from the sombre camp and plucked a handful of berries on my way to my small pool of water. I knew Bellamy was following me again, this time I said nothing.

I halted by the edge of the water and waited.

"You're not going to overdose are you?" Bellamy called.

"No." I stripped down to my undergarments, and gently slipped into the water. "Are you coming?"

I let my eyes carefully trickle over every new bit of flesh Bellamy revealed as he removed his clothes, until he slid down into the water.

"Do you think it worked?" Bellamy's mask fell for a second, I witnessed what sadness and guilt looked like etched onto his beautiful features; it made me want to cry.

"No," I breathed out. "I want to believe that they'll see it, yet a part of me says otherwise. That part makes me think... we killed them."

"I killed them."

"No. We killed them." I changed the topic before Bellamy opened his mouth. "Anyway. Here, have a couple of these."

"Why?"

"To relax."

"I don't need them. Being with you makes me less stressed- when we're not arguing." I grinned at that. "You don't need them either."

"I'm not addicted..." Bellamy's dark eyes brightened in the light.

"Good. Then I'll stop you from taking them before you are." Bellamy's hand worked over my fist to take the berries from my hand. "You don't need them to be happy. You don't need them when you feel stressed. Come talk to me, do not get these." Bellamy exhibited the berries before throwing them off to the side.

"Okay."

Well, I'm sad. I should have made them kiss or something, but friends don't kiss.

I really like the song for this chapter. I got it from the Netflix series 'The Rain'. I think it's beautifully depressing.

I forgot how much I like writing this story so Vote and Comment guys (:
