FLOAT has started filming, which means I finally get to share some updates with you guys!

While the published version of FLOAT will be the Young Adult summer romance you know and love (with a new and improved ending), the movie is getting a fresh coat of paint: we're aging it up and sending it off to Canada!

Robbie Amell will be playing our (not 17-year-old) Blake, who's still a lifeguard and still stuck in Holden with his younger sister Isabel. Andrea Bang—who you may recognize from Kim's Convenience—will be playing our (also not 17) Waverly, who's still at odds with her parents but is now tackling med school instead of high school when she decides to take a summer detour to visit her artist aunt, Rachel.

I am so excited for you guys to see the hard work that's gone into this project. I have to shout out Sherren Lee, our director (and co-writer of the script), for her talent, her heart, and her vision. My story couldn't be in better hands!

Until then, you can learn more about the movie in this wonderful article from the Hollywood Reporter.

If you're eager for updates and sneak peeks, make sure to follow Float on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
