Two hours later and finally a noise. Not a noise from the raucous residents forever surrounding or the radiator clanking from it needing some maintenance. A noise Selena had been praying for to know that she was finally not alone in this lifeless place.

She practically jumped out of bed to look through her doors peephole and Jason instantly goes to knock on her door. She unlocks it without hesitation and doesn't think twice before crashing her body into his and he didn't even flinch at the suddenness, more exhilarated she didn't waste any time. "God, thank goodness you are back. Where have you been?" She mumbles into his chest.

"I was at a study group." He chuckles while cuddling her back. "I got your phone call when I was on my way back, is everything okay?"

"No, not really." She doesn't feel obligated to let go of him, despite his leather jacket sending a deep chill down her. "Faith just told me some terrible things and I just cannot bear the thought of seeing her. I doubt we will be making up anytime soon either."

"What things?"

She draws away and glances up at him. She couldn't seem to find a single fault to him as he sternly stares back, quite intensely in fact. But she wasn't even focusing on the stare itself but everything else. Not a single blemish on his skin. Not a single indication that he is in fact a dangerous person. He seemed to innocent, too pure of a soul to even hurt a fly.

She questioned how could someone so convincingly be the devil in disguise? Was it some kind of cult secret? Do they beat it out of you at some kind of twisted boarding school that only the evilest know about? Were there any signs that would prove that in fact, she was in her clouded judgement and was in a single form of trouble in his presence? But the halo perched on his head was burning too bright, just like his uneasy smile as she just carefully stares at him.

"It doesn't matter." She says flatly before a convincing grin. She made her choice on the subject matter. "They're unimportant, just some conspiracies and lies that I don't believe."

He takes a step back and fumbles for his key to unlock his door, Selena watches him because it was all she could do and all she wanted to. "Are you sure?" Jason's door clicks and he steps forward, Selena cannot help herself and follow him as she enters his immaculate dorm.

He tosses his jacket and keys onto the desk and finds his water bottle beside it, chugging it down. Selena tries to look like she wasn't staring at him for a second, but she couldn't help but leer when his muscles come through as he lifts his arm to take a healthy gulp of his drink again. "As I said, they're unimportant. I have better things to think about right now."

"You know, when we agreed to start dating, that meant I get all your worries, fears, everything that makes you cry and even the baggage you probably haven't told me about yet." Just like how Faith did, his hands tenderly press against her arms softly. In the exact spot though they felt completely different. "I don't want you to feel like you can't talk to me, especially being in a fresh relationship and all."

"I know." She confirms with a half-smile before going back to hold him again, this time her arms snake around his neck and his on her back. It was more heated, more tight and just more sensual. "I just want to enjoy my night with you, no worries, fears, tears or baggage."

"That sounds like a plan."

She doesn't hold the silence for too long. "How was your day?"

"My day?" She managed to change the subject so it meant she didn't have to talk about it, therefore he respected.  "Nothing out of the ordinary really, The most exciting thing was realising a couple had sex during our break because the guy's shirt was the wrong way and the girl's button weren't done right."

"How'd they manage that?"

"Men as a species are not the smartest." He grins but she doesn't have too much of a reaction. "I don't know the reason for girls."

"Probably rushed by the guy, as always."

"We wouldn't have to rush our girls if they didn't spend two hours on makeup alone."

Selena couldn't hold even a temporary smile convincing enough and he was noticing.

"Well, you definitely need better ways of cheering up than me possibly insulting you" He pulls back but without leaving a kiss on her mouth which she refused to end. Her arm that remained on his neck slides softly to the back of his head, feeling his soft hair as the kiss intensified beyond what they both had anticipated. It was hot again, their minds went blank to everything that wasn't each other.

"It's working." She alerts softly with a small moan on the edge of her tongue.

Before Selena knew it, Jason picks Selena up so she's straddling him as he walks over to the bed, placing her down edging the rougher side and instantly crawling on top of her to continue this heated moment. His hands searched around her body and she let him happily, even as his hands crept to sacred areas. She gave herself to his simple touch and it was an experience.

"Selena?"

"Yes?" She breathlessly says.

"Do you want to?"

She knew what the vague question was about. She quickly pulls away to have a real deep look at Jason. He isn't displaying too much, his cheeks were now red with intensifying lust, his grasp on her skin was somehow like magic and his eyes waited for an answer to respect. Again, she couldn't see a reason for why she didn't want to say no. "Yes."

"If you think it's too early, you can say no. I don't want to pressure you" As a double confirmation, he feels compelled to ask again. She understands his look and his hesitation and in response, smiles with a nodding motion.

Before they could continue, he lifts off her body to go and check his jacket pocket. He grabs something she couldn't see before he reaches his side table. He grabs a condom from the box and throws it beside Selena who remained still on the bed, begging to herself that he would go back in between her legs. He complies to her mental wishes as she takes him back, her legs wrapping even more around him so he can feel every single inch of her body on him, turning the kiss being even more intimate if that was possible.

••••

Selena and Jason both breathless and naked, cuddled into each other as the bed sheet kept them warm from the cold. The sex was one in a million, everything seemed too perfect. It was indescribable as Selena thinks about how this moment could not feel any less wrong. Though, she wishes she could say something that wouldn't break down the mood.

Instead, she kept her head buried into his chest and he caressed her, leaving soft kisses on her forehead every minute or so when he looked down to see if she was falling asleep or even just smiling to herself. Just something that told him she was satisfied.

All of a sudden, an alarm goes off on his phone which sends the sensual environment to a sudden strike of panic, especially from Selena who didn't know what it was at first. Her body had gone into a state of tranquillity and instantly ripped out like chard of glass in the skin.

"Fuck, I have a study group."

"Really? Another one?" Selena says as Jason begins to rummage through his drawers for some clean clothes. "It's what? 8 at night?"

"It's for a different module from the earlier one so it's the only time everyone is free. Trust me, it's the last thing I want to do but it's only until for a few hours."

"So...you're just going to leave? Wow, this is what it feels like to be one of your lousy one-night stands"

"You know that isn't true." He pulls his boxers and joggers in one pull before reaching the black shirt that was on his desk, presumably for tomorrow. "You are more than one a nightstand material."

"Right, you did just fuck me and now you are leaving so I don't know what to believe these days." She leans forward so she's sitting up while he grabs his boots and perch on the edge of the bed to tie up the laces. "Can't you just blow them off for one night so we can just stay in bed, totally naked and maybe... just may go another round? I'm sure they won't be too mad."

He was tempted as she seductively leans forward to him and begins to kiss his neck so softly. He bites his lips, closing his eyes to rejoice at the moment but he smoothly stretches away to kiss her on the lips instead.

"I'm sorry baby." Jason could feel himself getting harder as her hand rested on his thigh but he didn't stop her on this one. "I'll make it up to you."

"How?" She doesn't stop the kiss. Every single emotion, pain and desire she felt during their sex was coming back into full force and she would do anything to prevent her man for leaving.

"Breakfast in bed tomorrow? And then I'll take you out for a proper date. A fancy restaurant. Some expensive champagne and I'll throw in a little gift."

She was convinced by the sincerity in his voice, it was a comfortable reminder that she could trust him. No argument was needed because she respected his studies too much to even hold up the seductive charade. "Promise?"

"Promise."

"Okay. Now, go and get studying."

He just smirks at her before pacing towards the door. His hand places on the handle but before pressing it down to leave, he reminds himself of something. "My spare keys are in that drawer, in case you leave the flat and need to lock my door." He points to the cupboard he not long placed something in there. It was probably the keys.

Selena settles back into his bed, feeling somewhat strange that she was a guest in his room without the host present, though his room was cosy despite the feminine touches. No fairy lights, no photographs, no plants on the edge of death and no reed diffuser, air freshener or max melt of any kind. The blue and grey colour scheme was just simple and nothing extraordinary.

Selena didn't take long before she wanted to leave to go into her own safe space and got into her scattered clothes. Though, she lazily put them on. She could feel her eyelids collapsing, exhausted from the events that occurred.

She grabs her slippers and before leaving, starts scavenging through his drawer to find the keys ready, but she struggles to find any. She looks in the next draw, hoping it was her tiredness making her brain cells act unresponsive to this simple task but no luck. She takes everything out now, and she finally finds them right at the back hiding away, as well as a single key on a single keychain that was almost disappearing in the unorganised mess.

She seized them both, instantly recognising the flat door key and his individual room key but the other one? Didn't ring a bell.

The single key read Self Storage Limited, 145

Selena recognised the name, a storage facility near the town that was pretty much empty. Every container was either empty or full of unwanted shit and she knew it from her dad wanting to ship Selena more stuff for the room and in case of an emergency and they couldn't act fast enough, she had it around. It was the exact same place.

Curiosity got the better of her. Jason didn't have a lot of items in his room, his cupboards and drawers were nearly empty and his shelves only had a single Amazon echo on so why would he need a storage unit?

•••

Selena found herself in the storage unit, her mind was drawn entirely to unit 145. It was a weird thing, she couldn't find a rational reason why she felt so compelled to check out this storage unit, but she needed that peace of mind before she went to sleep.

She strolled down the deserted corridors, trying to find the number. The lights were flickering relentlessly, the blue colours were very 80s horror film inspired and it was creepy. Her footwear, although she was wearing trainers, echoed in every direction and it was hard to stay calm when you feel someone is following you all around.

As she walked into a section that was primarily vacant lockers with no locks, Selena found the 145 locker, secured with a tiny lock that had seen better days.

Selena inserts the key but stops at it's clicking noise. Was this right? Her stomach was becoming an anxious mess, carrying the burden of everything she knew and everything she didn't want to know. She did trust Jason, she didn't lie about that but this was an invasion of privacy. But her restless abdomen was making her check for self-awareness and security.

She held the lock in her hands, shaking gently.

With a twist of the key, it clicked open out of its secure place and she ripped it off in one single motion as she kept it in her pocket for safekeeping. She glides the locker door up into the ceiling and her eyes widen at the discovery.

The smell of fresh mould hit the nostrils and it was full of tools, chemicals, sheets and clothes, all of which were well into its uses. The stench of everything made Selena's lungs collapse. The floor was covered in a gooey black substance and the walls looked like they had been punched and hammered to its ruin. However, those things didn't compare in comparison until she turned on the light to see fully inside and right in the corner where the light didn't shine in, was a woman tied up on a metal chair with a cloth in her mouth to minimise sound. Her head dropped down and it wasn't until Selena's breath trembled that she realised the person who was sitting there, sweat and tears pooling on her face.

"Selena?" she mumbled through the cloth, sounding unconvinced she was seeing the reality around her.

"Faith?" In overdrive, she hurried towards Faith to untie her, firstly the mouthpiece was removed before she loosens the rope that was double knotted so tightly that Faith had begun to have rope burn from her exhausting struggle of escape.

"Jason." She breathlessly says. Her first breath of the air without a rag in her mouth. "He isn't who he says he is."

It hasn't even clicked that this was Jason's doing, only that her best friend was tied up in a dirty locker and in severe distress. She doesn't stop what she's doing but looks up at a scared Faith with an unapologetic look, though she feared it wouldn't be enough. "Faith, I'm fucking sorry. I should've believed you."

"No, it was absurd. I don't entirely blame you." She stands up once the last knot is undone on her leg and she hugs Selena so tightly, afraid that this escape was just a sick mirage. "I'd have done the same."

"That's not the point."

"He got to me when I left the flat. I don't even know how I got here, he injected me with something. A sedative of some kind."

"Look, we need to leave and maybe get you to a hospital." Weakened Faith places her arm around Selena for extra support. She still felt the sedatives doing its thing in her body, a fierce feeling. She felt completely out of her body, yet had full control. Selena gripped her side to help out as much as she could and helped her out of the locker, turning the first corner. "He's supposed to be at a study session and I don't know how long we have before he realises I'm here."

"I realised the second I left, darling." They both gasp at Jason, who was standing outside the locker, waiting for them to make their brave exit. He held a crowbar in his hand, leaning on it like a walking stick as he held a sinister grin on his face. "Going somewhere?"
