"Don't you think drinking alcohol is sort of against everything Char was for? I mean, she didn't even drink alcohol." Olivia holds a bottle of Smirnoff in her hands, unsure about the party. She was the only one who wasn't entirely keen on the idea, although she didn't make a strong argument against it.

Selena doesn't reply as she concentrates on taking out a variation of finger food including sweet chilli chicken bites, vegetable spring rolls and samosas out of the oven along with her homemade chilli fries. Jason was figuring out the perfect playlist to set the tone for the night and he specifically looked more nothing that would be described as depressing.

But Faith walks in at perfect timing, holding a few bottles of mixers in her hand which were wearing a few plastic cups. "We are honouring her with a toast and by trying to live our lives the way she would want us to and that includes being happy, being ourselves and just continuing to live our days like they are our last. I don't think she'll mind us having a bottle of vodka between us."

"I know but is this the way we want to go?" She argue.

"After the shitty week this has been, I think a few vodka shots is the least we deserve." Lucy, the one who usually drinks the least minus Char, spoke up and surprising them all.

After realising she'd just be in a never ending loop with her being against everyone, she remained silent and grabbed a small drink of cola with a bendy straw.

"These fries are absolutely amazing." Lucy manages to stuff her face despite the hot temperature from the trays of food that had been resting not even for a single minute. It wasn't a major shock when she was pulling facial expression, concealing the fact her mouth was burning from her idiocy.

Jason sneaks behind them, placing one hand on Selena's lower back as he grabs a few of the fries with no shame either, somehow he handled the hot temperatures like a boss. "Yeah, I second that."

"Thank you guys. Also thanks to the work of chilli oil and black pepper." Selena adds with a triumphant grin to them both. "I don't know where I'd be without them."

"Faith, come here." Lucy steps forward in sync as Faith steps closer to her. They were in perfect harmony as Lucy lifts her hand with a single potato cut in her hand, Faith opens her mouth in acceptance.

"Yeah, these are so fucking good. I expect these to be our study snacks from now on."

"Now and then, maybe." She laughs. "Even someone like you could make them."

"What do you mean someone like me?" Her arms cross, her mouth still chomping on the delicious food.

"Faith, come on. You could burn water if you really tried." Lucy interrupts the argument as she receives a death glare for her not being on the defence.

"My girlfriend ladies and gentleman." She announces dramatically before Lucy hugs her tightly. In true fashion, she didn't look too pleased from the offence, but he hands squeezed on Lucy's arms enjoying the moment. "Never defending my honour."

"Shut up you idiot."

•••••

The party has been in full swing for two hours and they were all on some form of sugar or alcohol high. They were all beaming, a feeling that became regular before everything and they finally managed to regain it.

Music, the usual medicine for the open wounds, was the only thing that dared to bring even an ounce of misery, finding that one perfect song to suit the environment. Nothing too depressing, nothing too peaceful, nothing too upbeat and nothing too repetitive. Not to mention, the variation of music taste that lingered just by five people. It was a miracle to find that one song that suited everyone.

"Okay so who wants to play never have I ever?" Jason could see the glasses of everyone starting to empty and wanted to spice up the night a little more. Although, he wanted to get to know these guys better. He knew them to a level but he wanted to big a little deeper that only drinking games would make everyone showcase their real, crazier sides.

They all beamed at the idea, huddling around the sofa. Lucy and Faith took up all the space on the sofa, Selena sat on the floor contently cross legged and Olivia and Jason got comfortable around the table, Jason filling up everyone's glasses with alcohol.

"Great, I'm going to get hammered aren't I." Faith scoffs as she begins to fill up her cup, preparing herself for her inevitable hangover that she was literally holding in he grasp.

"We'll go easy." Jason says with a smirk. "At first."

Faith eyes rolls as she ignores the compelling proposition to drink and add even a moment more to what would happen in the early afternoon if she wakes that early. The other girls could see her conflicting, eying the perfect circular rim holding the one day death.

"Okay, hurry up. Get those cups filled." Olivia eagerly says as Jason happily filled the remaining two cups up and planted the bottle on the table, central to all of them.

"Since it was my idea, I'll start. Never have I ever been arrested." Jason begins as he kneels down beside Selena. He looks around to see no one drinks as they all sheepishly look towards Faith, expecting her to be the one to do.

"Wow." Olivia says as Faith just laughs at them. "Okay, never have I ever imagined the person I had sex with was someone else."

One drink out of a possible five. Lucy.

"It sounds horrible but I had this week-long fling with a guy around two years ago and he wasn't exactly the best so I just imagined him as Avan Jogia."

"He is gorgeous so I can easily understand." Selena says with a overly hyped tone, Jason smiling towards her.

Faith didn't seem to care about talking about her girlfriends past conquests, she actually seemed very eager to now the details, but not in a twisted, jealous bitch way. "I need to know, did it work and do you do that with me?

"It surprisingly didn't and of course I don't, you are absolutely incredible, babe." She smirks as she pulls Faith into a quick, hard kiss before giggling like a love sick puppy.

The game continues for at least another twenty minutes.

Never have I ever fooled around with a family member. Faith was the only one seemingly struggling. To what she hoped for, no one drank.

Never have I ever had sex in a public place. Lucy, Faith and Selena drank and they all confessed to their individual cases: sex in a bathroom stall, the back of a cinema while Mama Mia was on and a beach.

Never have I ever had sex with someone with at least a 10 year age gap. One drinker: Faith. A drunken hook up with a guy old enough to be her father. She added it was one of her greater guys.

Never have I ever sent a nude to the wrong person. One taker. Faith at this point was feeling targeted as she chugged a big gulp back to everyone's amusement.

Never have I ever snorted cocaine off someone. Jason and Faith drank which came to a surprise. He insisted it was a one time thing and had never looked back. Faith also said the same and both admitted it was a teen-drug face.

Faith refilled her cup as she sighs dramatically. "You know, I want a round of applause when I don't drink to one of these stupid questions."

"And I want one when I do." Olivia adds before anyone could begin the next round.

It was Jason's turns after what seemed like round 25. "Okay, I'm running out of things to say now."

"Surely we can do one more round. Faith, you up to it?" Faith was not entirely sober, although she had managed to keeps very tough sober act. She was speaking normally, rarely slurred and didnt need an extra hand. She became more hyperactive with the case of the giggles and was seemingly affectionate as she strokes Lucy's hair behind her ear.

"Okay, never have I ever..." he began to think about what hadn't already been said and what he could say. "I have a good one, never have I ever had sex with someone in this room."

Lucy and Faith happily drink as expected but Jason's attention wasn't on them at all. It was on Selena who had her head down along with her cup waiting for the next round. He waited a few seconds but he could see she wasn't ready to take a sip of the vodka. "Selena?"

"What?" She says with a smile at him. "Olivia, it's your turn."

"Aren't you going to drink?" He interiors before Olivia could even speak. Everyone's attention was on them. "Or didn't you hear what I said?"

"I heard you fine." She adds as the general tone of the room begins to fade. "Olivia?"

"I thought you and Faith had a little thing going on before you went to Greece."

"What?" Three girls day out loud in perfect harmony.

"You what?" Lucy darts her head to Faith as she pushes away her hand from her shoulders, anger filling up quicker than Faith's cup.

Faith looked crushed as she didn't know whether to look at her distraught girlfriend, her distraught best friend or an absolutely confused Olivia.

"Wh- what are you on about?" Selena stutters as she places her cup onto the table, feeling her cheeks burn with an unknown sensation. She couldn't place what it was exactly, but it wasn't a good feeling. It was anything but good.

"I just gathered since you are all really good friends that everyone knew that you two had something going on." He drunkenly looks around the room to see too many expressions and confusion, desperation and anger.

"Luce, I can explain." Faith begs.

"I fucking knew it, I fucking knew there was something between you two." Lucy, now baring tears in her eyes, barges her way past Faith as she attempts to stop her by pulling at her hand but her drunken reflexes was too slow. Instead, she follows her out of the room, calling her name.

The music is suddenly at an halt. Olivia turns off the television and smiles at Selena and Jason who were both standing up with two entirely different stances. "Well, I'm going to go bed if I can with probably all the arguing that's going to happen so I'll see you guys tomorrow."

They didn't acknowledge Olivia much, Selena couldn't move her eyes off a drunk Jason that was still persistent on drinking. He finished the rest of his cup and let's out a longing exhale in satisfaction. "Tonight was good, wasn't it?"

"Are you fucking kidding me? You read my diary without my permission? Who the fuck does that and then outs my private shit in front of everyone." Selena was furious. She could now feel these mixture of emotions form into one and it was red. Bright, burning red and should have everyone on full alert.

Jason's excited persona fades as he realises Selena's cheeks burning, her first unknowingly balled up like she was ready for a fight. "I'm sorry, okay. It was just there so I read a few pages. The curiosity got the better of me."

"Oh I'm sorry. Apparently it being left on my side table was an open invitation for everyone or anyone to read it. Why don't you go round sharing my shit to the entire university next time?" She pushes past him, taking her glass with her to throw it into the sink in one piece still.

"It's not even that serious. I read, what three pages and it happened to be that." He blurts out

Selena groans. "God you are a dick when you are drunk."

He lunges forward and places his hands beside her so she lost the ability to move freely and away from him. He tried to calm her down, make her see a form of sense. But how could he when his sense weren't even straight themselves? "It's not really an excuse but in my defence, I thought Lucy would've known if her girlfriend and best friend had some past fling."

A sinister smile leaves with a scoff. "Well, she didn't and even if she did, I don't think she would like to be reminded of it."

She manages to untangle herself from him but he pulls her hand gently back. "I didn't mean to cause any trouble. It was only for a quick laugh."

"But you did." The anger had no become dormant as the feeling of betrayal had set in as she inspected him. His eyes reddened from the intoxication, he wouldn't remember this moment. "You disrespected me, invaded my privacy and what hurts the most is that you were the last person who I thought would hurt me, not like this anyway."

She pulls away her hand with ease, although her heart sank into her stomach. "Selena, I'm so-"

"No, I don't want to hear it Jason, not now."

"Selena."

She didn't say anything back. She didn't look back as she left the kitchen. The corridor was filled with arguing already and she couldn't help but place blame on herself. She practically ran after she left the same room as Jason and straight into her own.

She locked the door behind her and fell to the floor, her back straight against the door as the tears trickled down her face. The pain of her chest tightening as she tried to sob forcefully quiet made her want her inhaler, though it wasn't in her direct reach.

She lifts her hands above her head to help the air get in better, a high school tactic she learnt as she tried to calm her self down naturally, like she would do during a panic attack. The tears remained persistent but that was the least of her concerns.
