Chapter 39: Eliminate

~~Minji's P.O.V.~~

After all that happened at the shop, the trading and stuff at the market, meeting Zepile, a very good appraiser which became our friend, we ended up in here.

We sat on a booth, inside a two-storey cafe, observing two members of the spiders from afar.

It's them...

Lemme start with their short profiles...

Nobunaga. A black-haired adult that slightly looks like an old man and wears a grey robe. As far as I know, he is very strong and, it'll be practically a dire situation of he unsheathes his katana.

Machi. A short girl with pink hair. As far as I know, her power is thread manipulation. These thread are made of her nen and it is incredibly durable. It is able to cut off your limbs and sew them up together with her sewing skills, the veins and other damaged tissues are replaced by her threads.

It can also kill with a single pull.

Yep. Pretty sick.

Leorio contacted the couple we acquainted with, in hopes of capturing the members

Killua on the other hand, held the beetle phone and wired the money onto the couple's account in thanks of helping us

Lori ended the call and glanced at the said criminals "So, how do we catch them?"

Killua crossed his arms cooly "It's impossible. We're not strong enough to do so."

Lori abruptly stood up and banged his palms on the table "We'll never know unless we try!!"

I panicked and flapped my arms around "SSHHH!!! They'll notice ussss!"

Killua sighed and looked out the window "Just imagine there's two hisokas in there"

Sweats started to form in Leorio and Gon's foreheads as two Hisokas sitting on a table popped in their heads

Lori blinked "I changed my mind..." and Gon only nodded in agreement

I crossed my arms and sighed, imitating Killua's action "We can't just do something rash as they're pretty cautious right now. They even noticed the couple we connected with. It's risky."

Killua looked at me "I see you're observant at times. I'm surprised you noticed."

I looked to the side with a guilty smile

No I didn't. I just know..

I zoned out as I engulfed myself in my own thoughts

When should I tell them? I'm from a different world and stuff... Should I tell them? What am I saying? Of course I should! But... What if they reject me? Or worse, DESPISE ME?!

"Minji?"

I don't know what I'll do then. I'll lose ny friends, lose my path, lose hope. I'll be very sad and depressed. And then I'll resent everybody and..

"Oi Minji!"

THEN IT'LL REACH TO THE POINT WHERE I WON'T GO ANYWHERE IN LIFE AND PROBABLY KILL-

I blinked in shock due to impact on me. The anxiousness that surrounded me earlier was replaced with confusion

All eyes were on me including Skirrus whose pose was that of an angry mother

Wait, Ski?

A stinging sensation erupted from a small area on my right cheek

I held it and..

Tch. 💢

I glared down at Ski as he glared back at me

"You slapped me didn't you?" I spoke in a low voice

"I slapped you didnt I?" He spoke in a lower voice

We glared at each other so hard, you could practically see the sparks emitting between us

Gon just sighed as he stared at us "Those two always fight..."

Killua gained an irk mark "You better stop that zoning out when we follow them..."

I widened my eyes as me and Ski looked at the Silverhead

"Follow?"

"Well, I have been doing this since I was three but what about you Gon? Have you ever trailed anyone before?" Killua asked

"Uhh.. Yeah... I trailed Hisoka in the Hunter exam... For a day..."

For someone who didn't watch this anime, they will be shocked.

But not me

Suddenly, two fists collided with Gon's forehead making him wince

He rubbed his head as he looked at Killua and I with a confused expression "What was that for?"

We spoke at the same time "It seemed appropriate"

"Then you'll be fine. Oh! How about you Minji? Do you know how to trail someone?" Killua turned to me

I scratched my cheek with a finger with an unsure smirk

I haven't... told them....

I sighed "Oh I guess I haven't told you but.... Including these trailing things, I was training under Gon's father since I was four..."

"Gon's father?!"

"Four?!"

"I'm sorry... But don't worry! Gon also knows!"

So they all turned to the said boy and Gon turned blue, getting nervous

"Since when?" Lori raised an eyebrow

Gon started sweating "H-Huh? O..Oh!D-During the Hunter exam...."

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US?!"

Me and Gon bowed down together "GOMENASAII!!"

The other two sweatdropped

They're so synchronized! They thought.

"Anyways, be sure to always keep hidden" Killua broke the upcoming silence

"But... Are you sure it's a good idea to follow them?" I looked down, remembering what'll happen

"You look reluctant. Don't go if you don't want-"

"I'll go! I can't be sitting here while you two risk your life!" I stated determined

He smirked and placed his elbow on my shoulder "I know."

~~Timeskip~~

I held my bettle phone to my ear as a voice said "Target turned a corner towards Minji"

I replied "Confirmed"

I was hiding in a cafe on a roof, pretending to be sipping tea as I observed our targets from afar

Once they have gone far enough, I climbed on a roof, jumping from building to building to follow them, seeing Gon and Killua doing so too.

I felt vibration coming from the phone so we positioned ourselves and answered

"Did they notice us?"

Gon.

"No. We are using Zetsu so they shouldn't be able to sense our presence."

We started running on roofs again when suddenly I bumped into someone and something sharp grazed my neck

W-What?

I looked at the person as they held the blade to my neck

The person was wearing a hooded robe with white, long ribbons at the back

His/Her face was covered with a black masked and I could only see his/her vicious green eyes, that of a soldier who would do anything to carry out their duty

Shxt...

"I've been ordered to eliminate you..."

"Minji Morrow."
