Chapter 22: Phase 5 (PART 2)

~~Minji's P.O.V.~~

I left Gon in his room to rest and for me to watch the final phase.

There stood Kurapika in a defensive stance and Hisoka standing calmly with an unreadable smile stuck on his face

He glanced at me and I glared at him childishly which widened his grin

Still a clown I see...

The fight ended when Hisoka surrendered after whispering something to Kurapika. Others were still questioning about it but, I already know the answer

Kurapika went beside Leorio and me looking very stressed

I placed a hand on his shoulder "Don't stress to much"

His eyes softened a bit before smiling at me "Thanks.."

I sighed and looked down

Is that a real smile? Or a fake one?

We continued to watch the fights until the fight with Killua and Illumi came

"Gittarakur and Killua for the next fight!!" The referee announced

I quietly walked out before the fight started while a certain blonde is eyeing me

Why is she going out on such a weird time? And here she is saying not to stress too much.. Kurapika thought.

I continued walking until I reached a forest

I needed to...

I needed to get out of there. Otherwise, I will stop Killua's fight and take away an experience they would encounter.

That both fateful, and unfateful encounter.

I know that the path they have chosen is dangerous but... experience is the best teacher for us. It teaches us new things and can also stand as a guide in our life.

And I don't wanna take it away from them...

I sighed "Hang on guys, you just have to wai-"

Whaaa....?

"Uhh.. Excuse-" I was cut off

"Huh? Oh Hi! Are you lost?"

I placed my hands in my pockets "I was just gonna ask you the same thing."

There stood a woman in around her early 20's with a white long hair. She was wearing a black leather jacket and leather jeans with a boots that looks like what cowboys use..

Oh.....kay..?

She blinked "Oh. Then I'm just wondering a....r-round..." she stared at my eyes deeply and trailed off

It's her! The woman thought.

She started sweating bullets "O-Oh! T-That's right it's really funny HAHAHAHAHAHABYEEEE!!!" And went off running

Weird..

I just shrugged and turned away. I need to get back before the trial ends...

I sighed while walking

What a day...

I reached the venue in a fast pace and found the people in line, going through a door for the orientation

Yosh! I'm not late!

Netero-san noticed me "Oh Minji! Glad you could make it! Satotz requests for your presence in the unconscious young boy's room for he has an announcement."

I chuckled at his formality "Well, thanks for informing me Netero-san!"

Netero-san being formal? That's kinda hard to believe..

I quickly rushed to Gon's room and found him awake and talking to Satotz

The conversation was halted by Gon greeting me "Ah! Hi Minji-san!"

"It's about time you arrive." Satotz turned to me

I chuckled nervously "Ehehe... Oh! And hi Gon!"

I laid on Gon's bed on my stomach and used my elbow as support "So, what's this 'announcement' Netero-san was talking about?" I made air quotes with my fingers

He sipped a bit of his tea "He already told you I see... Well, it's about your family"

This peaked my interest "How did you know about that?"

Gon was confused on our conversation until Satotz mentioned one name

"Ging Freecs"

Ging? Gon thought.

Meanwhile....

That old geezer! He even told me not to tell Gon about our acquaintance but here he is. And being a dumbass I know he is, even told them about my mission! That baka! I'm really gonna kick his ass the moment I see him again I swear!

"Minji-san?"

Oh.

An unsure smirk appeared on my face "Y-Yeah? Oh you were talking about that? Yes I agree! Of course! Hahahaha!" I looked away and chuckled nervously

They both sweatdropped at my response

Gon smiled unsure "But Minji-san, we haven't talked about anything yet..."

I then started sweating bullets "O-Oh... Is that so...? Ehehehe..."

Satotz cleared his throat "We get it that you usually space out but I suggest you not to do that during certain conversations"

I nodded a little too fast "Hai! (Yes)"

"So back to the topic...."

I then turned serious

Satotz started explaining "For Minji, Ging Freecs is the one who told us about your mission. He asked for our help"

Oh. So that's why...

"As for Gon, we know that he is your father. This information also includes Minji."

Gon looked at me with wide eyes as I stared at Satotz-san with warning eyes

"And Ging is Minji's sensei (teacher/mentor)"

I facepalmed at this

Ging you bakaaaaaa!!!!

Gon asked "Ah. Minji-san, are you okay?" Noticing the purple lines that are on my head but it quickly went away as soon as I asked him

"You're not mad at me?"

Gon blinked before laughing "Why would I be?"

Gon...

My eyes sparkled

Gon...

I tackled him in a hug "Gon!! You innocent cinnamon!! I love you so much you're so puree! I don't even understand why Ging-chan left you.."

Gon just smiled and Satotz 'coughed' to catch our attention "I'm sorry to interrupt your moment but we have a more important thing to discuss right now"

I blinked "Ah. That's right."

I let Gon go before facing Satotz

"Then let's go."

I walked inside the orientation room which was interrupted by of course, me.

I laughed nervously "Ehehe.. I'm sorry... You may continue now..."

Beans-san sweatdropped "As I was saying..."

I sat beside Kurapika and Leorio

"You're late."

I sank in my seat guiltily "I know..."

Leorio sighed "Where did you go anyways?"

I pouted and looked away "Nowhere..."

Kurapika gave a reassuring smile "If you're not ready to tell us, it's okay. But always remember that we're here for you. Hm?"

I stared at him with wide eyes and smiled and so I gave a response

"Mm!"

"Ah. How much did I miss in the orientation?" I asked Leorio with Kurapika that was paying attention to the orientation

Leorio placed a thoughtful hand on his chin "Orientation started 25 mins. ago so.... Not much I guess..."

I sighed in relief "That's good..."

Yeah....

Take my time huh?
