"Wow, you look just like you're mother." The man spoke.

"Don't." I spat, catching the man in front of me stunned.

"Y/n.. I'm so-"

"I said stop, I don't need an apology." Forgetting Hyunjins hand is in mine, I squeeze it, suddenly feeling anger with in.

"I feel I ought to give one though, I left you and I'm so incredibly embarrassed and sorry. What I did was in no way okay, I'm s-"

"Stop apologizing, for all i know you could be some damn stranger claiming to be the man that would have been my father." I let go of Hyunjins hand, stepping forward. Both Hyunjin and Jisung watching my every move with worry.

"I promise I'm you're father, look." He handed me a photo, showing my mother who I've only ever seen videos and photos of and him standing next to her.

"Its just a picture, you could have known her and snapped a photo." He sighed, looking at the three of us.

"I promise you I'm you're father y/n, i wouldn't have come all the way here if I wasn't." He admitted.

"Why do you make it sound like you live so far?" I asked.

"I live in California." My eyes widen, anger rising, and its taking me all i got to hold back from pushing this so called man down to the floor.

"Look, at least try to remember." He said.

"Remember what?" He took out his wallet and took two photos out.

"That's m-me.." I muttered, seeing him with a little girl that was about two, that little girl being me.

The other showed me sitting on his lap, while some older woman sat next to him with very little clothes.

"Was this the shore you chose over your own daughter?" I snapped, seeing him tense up and take the photos back.

"Look, I wanted to keep you okay. When you turned three, I was arrested for..." He paused, debating whether or not he should keep talking.

"Go on, or I'm walking right back inside." He nodded, glancing at the boys in nervousness.

"C-can they go?" I sighed in annoyance. I nodded towards them, both showing worry while walking inside.

But just as Jisung was about to walk through the door, i grabbed his hand.

"Stay." I turned back to my so called father, basically shooting daggers at him.

"He stays, your still just a stranger. I don't know or trust you, so he stays." He took a moment but nodded anyway.

The three of sat outside, Jisung and I sat in the bench and the man sat in the single chair by the bench.

"Continue talking."

"When you were three, I was seeing that girl who was in the photo. She had been mixed up with the wrong people, and did some terrible stuff to them. As a few months passed, those people came back and killed her.

"At the time, you were with me at the park. So when we got home, i found her laying dead in the bedroom, blood everywhere.

"I took you to you're room quickly and told you to stay there, being three, you didn't really listen so after a little while you came to and saw her on the ground while i was distracted on the phone with 911.

"When you were in the room with her lifeless body, you would circle around her, jumping onto the bed which had a suit case.

"That's when i noticed she was leaving me. When the paramedics came, the took her and the police had so many questions.

"The room was now a crime scene. As the officers were doing there job, the had opened the suit cases and found a note. Claiming that I treated her wrong and she just couldn't stay here any longer."

"Since the only suspect they were able to build evidence against was me, I was wrongfully accused of murder."

"They took you and I wasn't allowed to see you since I wasn't safe. It took them eight years to actually catch the actual guy who killed her. Yet, they closed the case long ago, the man that killed her wasn't happy with him life and felt as if he would never get to escape so he wrote a list of everyone he's killed and apologised.

"He called the ambulance on himself before shooting himself."

"I was released and admitted to being wrongfully accused of murder." He finished.

All that he said was so brutal and hurtful, wrongfully accused of murder... thats not a fun life..

"I'm sorry you had to endure that, and the many years you suffered for a crime you didnt commit." He nodded, the three of us coming to a sad silence.

"I was eleven when you were released, why didn't you come see me then?" He cleared his throat, obviously uncomfortable.

"Didn't think you'd want to see me... Not after all thats happened. I figured you were better off without me." I shook my head, finding Jisung hand for comfort, his hand placing over mine for support.

"No one is better off without there father.."

"I really am sorry.." He apologised.

"How did I get the necklace?" I asked.

"Seeing where everything was heading, i made sure to grab your mothers necklace. Before they arrested me, I pulled you aside and told you that i might be going awhile for awhile, that i loved you and as long as you have 'this'" he pointed at the necklace.

"You would always have your mother around, though shes always going to be in you're heart. I wanted you to keep that safe, its the only thing I had left of your mothers..." I didn't know it, but my eyes began to sting and i felt droplets of water land in my thigh.

Jisung slid his hand up to my shoulder, gaining my attention.

He took hold of my head and placed a soft calming kiss on my forehead.

"Breathe y/n." He calmly said, reaching back for my hand.

I did as he told, feeling less like i was but still on edge of breaking down.

"Why now? Why are you here now?" I hurriedly asked, seeing his sigh in tiredness, so weak.

"I needed to see you..." I waited.

"Y/n, I'm dying..." He finally said, which shocked me the most. How can he show up after years go by, my life going to shit because he wasn't there then say he's dying the moment he finally comes back.

"Ive been sick for a few months, I have stage three of lung cancer.. That van over there is to make sure I stay safe while I'm here. Being here was very risky for my situation, but i needed to see you. Say I'm sorry." Both Jisung and I glance at the van, then at him. The more I look at him, he does see very weak, and out of energy, very tired.

Likes he's holding himself together, yet it looks so difficult.

Without any thought, I hugged him, making sure to not hurt him in any way possible.

"I'm sorry.." I whispered sadly, holding my father for what may be the last time.

"Being here was very risky, you shouldnt have traveled so far.. that is insanely dangerous for your health.." I start, pulling away from him and eyeing him worriedly.

"I know, but thats okay. Seeing you was more important." He stood up, this time looking absolutely drained of energy.

The man that was in the van stepped out an d rushed towards him.

"Y/n, I still and will always love you, please don't ever forget that okay?" I nodded, already wanting to cry watching this man take my father back to the van.

"Stay here, stay in seoul and get treated here." I suddenly spoke, nervous I'd never see him again and that travel back will do worse to him.

"I can't.."

"Why not?"

"I... I have a family back in California." Saying that was extremely hard to hear and it really stung, knowing he's been out for almost six years, yet never came to see me but instead started over.

"I really am sorry y/n, i really hope you don't stay mad at me forever..." And with that, I watched him get into the van with the help of them man and take off.
