LARKIN

"Daddy! Jordan says I'm ugwy." Our little five year old runs in the house up to me as she has returned from school. I pick her up and give her a kiss on the cheek.

"Aww sweetie, you are beautiful. Don't you ever let anyone tell you differently neither. Besides, sometimes, boys are jerks and say mean things but that's usually their way of telling you they like you." I tell her.

"But why are they so mean?" She says.

"Because they're idiots." I tell her.

I then make my little princess smile that gorgeous smile she got from Kamille.

"Well why don't you watch some cartoons and I go help your mom out with your little brother." I tell her.

"Okay." She says and runs over towards the couch and turns on Spongebob.

I next began heading outside towards the car where I notice Kamille is trying to get out our two year old son from the car and tries to grab the bags of groceries in the trunk.

I run up to her and grab our son and the bags while giving her a kiss on the lips and we start heading back into the house.

"Did she tell you about Jordan?" Kamille asks me.

"Yeah but I explained to her that boys are just jerks." I tell her.

"Well that's good. Then again, not ALL guys are like that." She winks at me with a smile.

There's nothing else in the world that I could ask for. It's all right here. I have an amazing who I love and married 2 years after all the bullshit went down. Then we had our 5 year old daughter not too long after that and then a few years after that we had our now 2 year old son.

Everyday is a blessing and I feel like the luckiest person in the world.

Business is going great as I work from home right now coming up with new designs and are also, about to add an addition to the gym that is like a baby gym area in a way. We have even come up with ideas for kids gym wear type clothes and are excited about it.

The bakery is great also and life couldn't get any better than this.

I can't believe that I am a mom and a wife. I have such a beautiful family and feel beyond lucky.

Sure me and Larkin have been through so much but as I sit here at the dinner table watching our daughter eat her spaghetti getting sauce on her cheeks while I feed our son, I can't help but smile.

After we finished putting the kids to sleep, we got ready for bed.

While I was putting lotion on my arms, I felt two arms wrap around my waist from behind and noticed Larkin's face looking at me through the mirror.

"You're so beautiful." He says before he places a kiss on my neck.

"Thank you baby. You're very cute yourself." I wink at him.

He then turns me around and as I wrap my arms around him he picks me up and wraps both my legs around his waist as he carries me over to the bed and lays on top of me.

"Who would have thought you and I would be where we are today. Together, married and with kids." He says as he looks deep into my eyes.

"I know. We are both very lucky." I tell him while gently caressing the side of his face.

"I love you Mrs. Simms." He tells me.

"I love you too Mr. Simms." I smile at him.

We kiss again and hold one another after we make love and realize that even though shit happens in life, love and happiness can really happen. Because let's face it, nobody's perfect but it's not about being perfect. It's about finding someone and knowing if they're worth it. Flaws and all.
