KAMILLE

I can't believe he had just asked me out and that I had even accepted. Was this a joke? Did Nate and Kylie put him up to this? I swear if I find out this was all a set up. Well, I know Kylie wouldn't be so cruel. Besides, he seemed sincere.

However, I meant what I said though. He get's one chance and only one to prove he has really changed. It won't be overnight of course, but if he's serious then it'll be nice to be friends or if this works out with the dating, it'll be a dream come true for me. Though I don't plan to ever tell him that and my walls are not coming down that quickly.

Who could have thought that one day I'd ever be asked out by THE Larkin Simms?!

I thought it was really cute too how nervous he looked asking me out. Never thought that too would ever happen.

When I woke up the next morning, I looked at my phone and saw that I got a couple of texts from Larkin asking if tonight was okay to go out and I thought it was a great time. So we settled for six.

Then after texting him, I thought I'd better tell Kylie about everything before she found out from Nate. If she found out before telling me her, she'd kill me for sure.

"Hello?" She answers sounding groggy.

"Good morning." I reply.

"Hey." She says.

"I didn't mean to wake you up and it's no big deal but, I have a date with Larkin tonight." I tell her and immediately pull the phone away from my ear as she screams in excitement.

"Yay!" She screams. "Oh my god, you guys look so cute together."

"Calm down girl, it's just a date." I remind her so she doesn't get her hopes up while also laughing a little bit at how 'teenager' we sound

"Doesn't matter! This is your first date in a while and I am not letting this opportunity go without me at least coming by to help you get ready." She says.

"Kylie, I'm a big girl, I can handle this." I tell her.

"I don't care. In fact, why don't I close up tonight at the bakery for you so that you'll have plenty of time to get ready and everything?!" She offers.

She has helped me out before and the customers seem to love her too, so.....

"Alright. Be there by no later than four." I tell her.

"You got it." She replies.

"Okay, see you then dork." I tease.

"See you then hot stuff." She teases back.

I am so lucky to have her in my life. She really is a one-of-a-kind.

After taking a shower and getting dressed, I look for an outfit to change into for the date and then some other things to use before getting dressed for work and heading out the door.

Not saying it's a bad thing, at least I hope that it's not, or pathetic sounding, but all day long, I kept thinking about the date tonight.

I was no longer worried or in denial about rather or not it was real.

What helped validate any doubts was that while on a short break down when the place was a little slow, I looked at my phone to see if Kylie had messaged me or not and she hadn't but Larkin did.

I couldn't help but smile real big when I looked at the messages and I noticed that they were all from Larkin talking about tonight and that he couldn't wait.

I heard the 'ding' noise coming from the front door and started heading out to see if it was a customer coming in. I can't wait for tonight.

When I walked out up to the front, I saw some guy standing at the counter who gave me an unsettling feeling. Oh my god, please don't tell me he's gonna do something crazy.

I try to cautiously walk up towards him and he smiles at me but in a creepy way.

"Hello. How may I help you?" I ask in a normal toned voice.

"I was wondering if I could get a dozen donuts." He says.

"Okay. Will that be all?" I ask him.

"For now." He smirks and starts pulling out his wallet.

"Any kind in particular?" I ask.

"Just random." He says.

"Alright." I say and grab a box then start putting random ones in the box before closing and taping it shut.

"Also I'd like to add a few eclairs." He adds.

"Of course." I reply.

I go and get a few then place them into a box and start ringing him up on the register.

"So what's the damage?" He asks.

"It'll be twenty-five even." I tell him.

"Wow, you sure don't charge much." He says.

"I guess not." I reply.

This whole time I'm screaming 'help' in my head. Then again, there are plenty of witnesses here.

He then hands me the cash of exact change and right as I start to hand him a receipt he gently grabs my hand making me feel more scared.

"I'm here girl." I hear Kylie come walking in.

The guy winks at me and then grabs the boxes and tells me he'll see me around before he leaves.

What the hell was all of that? I hope he doesn't ever come back back to be honest.

The next chapter will be posted soon! :)
