Wiping away the sweat that formed on her face, Darnell stepped of her treadmill and sat cooling down after her workout. She was glad that she decided to come even though she wanted to go home and sleep.

After gathering her belongings from her locker she left the gym and headed home. Safely in the house she received a text from Naree and she told her she would call her after she jumped in the shower.

Taking her now sweaty clothes off and throwing them in her hamper she stepped in the shower and washed her day away.

20 minutes later Darnell was now in a night gown and knee high socks. She went down to her kitchen to find something to eat. She decided on her version of shrimp and broccoli making it extra spicy with rice. She hooked up her phone to the Bluetooth and played Drakes More Life Album. 

She got out the package of jumbo shrimp from the freezer and placed them in an bowl of cold water. Getting out a pot for her rice she measured and salted the water waiting for it to bowl. While the shrimp to thawed she cut up an onion, a green and red bell pepper, and a jalapeño.

She grabbed a bag of frozen broccoli out of the freezer and put it in the sink to defrost. Looking under the cabinet she took out a pan and its matching lid. She turned the eye on heating up the pan adding some olive oil.

After throwing everything in and placing the lid on letting it steam, she checked on her rice.
Making sure it was done she took it off the eye and let it cool. 5 min later she checked on the shrimp and veg mixture. She added salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Darnell checked to make sure everything was seasoned enough for her liking, she turned the eye off and made her plate. She grabbed a raspberry tea out the fridge and headed to her living room to chill and eat.

Making sure to say grace first Darnell started stuffing her face. After a minute of channel surfing she finally decided on Basketball Wives. She then remembered she was suppose to call Naree. She grabbed her phone from beside her and called her best friend. The phone ringed twice before Naree answered.

"What's up babes?"

"Nothing much just eating dinner. What's up with you?"

"I was calling you because I wanted your opinion on something."

"Okay what's up?"

"I have a date tonight with Yameer and I wanted your opinion on which outfit I should wear cause I can't choose."Naree said letting out a huff.

"Alright hang up and FaceTime me so I can see what you got."

"Okay."

The phone hung up and a couple of seconds later she was getting a FaceTime call. Of course she accepted and the camera was already pointed towards the bed that sat two outfits.

"Both of them are cute were are y'all going?"

"Just to the movies and dinner."

"Alright Um...."

"I choose the second one. It's more casual and it shows that you tried but not too much."

The second option was a camouflage two piece skirt with her olive green air max and bomber jacket.

"See that's why we're best friends cause I was leaning towards that too." They both laughed as Naree switch the camera towards her mirror and started twerking.

"Alright Ree but before you go I got something to tell you." Darnell said biting her lip nervous to tell her friend that she agreed to hang out with a guy she just cursed out a couple of days ago.

"What you got a date?" Naree laughed knowing her friend was picky as hell and she usually talked her way out of going out with any guy.

"Actually I do."

"Whaaaaaaaat. With who?"

"Um. Don" she said coughing at the same time.

"Who?"

" Don. I have a date with Don."

" I figured it was him. I could tell you liked him. You usually wouldn't get that upset over some random nigga."

"Hold up. I didn't say anything about liking him. He just asked to hang out. We exchanged numbers that's it. But I did tell him we couldn't hang out unless he brought his daughter with him."

"Ew that's a cock block."

"Exactly. No penetration and that goes for you too cause I can see the lust all in your eyes. Give it some time with this dude cause I can tell he's a player and I don't want you to get hurt." Darnell said getting serious for a minute.

"I hear you I got that vibe too. He's just soo fine  but I got it under control. "

"Aight babes have a good time tonight and text me when you get home so I know you got in safe."

"Okay love you buns."

Darnell laughed. "Love you too."

Finished with her dinner Darnell took her plate in the kitchen and cleaned everything up. She separated the left over food in two containers one for her and one to take to Naree for her lunch tomorrow. She put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and whipped down the counters.

Making sure her alarm was on she turned everything off and headed to her room to get in the bed. While pulling her bed back she heard her phone go off. She laid down and got comfortable and grabbed her phone. She laughed when she saw who it was. Daddy Don💦

Daddy Don💦: FaceTime?🤔

Me: Sure.

Darnell waited for the call to connect. When it did it showed Don laying in what looked like a bed with no shirt. Darnell bit her lip and quickly shook off the feeling of tingling between her legs.

"What's up baby girl?"

"Nothing much. I was getting in the bed when I got your text."

"I see got you lil scarf on looking like Harriet Tubman." Don said with a smirk.

"Naw never that baby boy. I wake up and go to bed on fleek. Get your life but, since we talking bout looks you need to put that bird chest up before you catch a cold. Got all your taco meat hanging out." Darnell said laughing at Don's now straight face.

"Yeah whatever ain't nothing boney bout me baby and all the ladies love this taco meat cause I'm all man ma."

"Yeah yeah yeah. Whats really up?"

" I was checking to see when we gonna do this outing and shit?"

Darnell began sinking more into her bed and getting comfortable thinking about all the things she had to do this week.

"Um..I have a doctors appointment tomorrow so I took the whole day off so I'm free after that."

"Aight that's sounds coo. Just text me when your ready for me to come pick you up."

"Sound like a plan you know where we're going?"

"Since Kaydence is going to be with us I figured we go to the aquarium then lunch."

"Fine with me. I like that. One question tho before you go. Why is you name in my phone Daddy Don?"

Don started laughing. "Cause that's who I am duh."

"Your not my daddy." Darnell said rolling her
neck a little. 

"I can be though." And there's that smile again. She rolled her eyes and laughed. 

"Whatever goodnight Don."

"Night baby girl."
