Next few days passed in frenzy of getting ready for Kajal's engagement. They hired caterers and decorators for the party. They decided to keep the event at Mehta House instead of another venue. Although everything was set, there were invitations to send out, and shopping for Kajal and rest of the ladies in the house. They wanted to fulfill every wish that Kajal might have, as she is the only daughter of the house.

Meanwhile Aditya was busy trying to set a trap for the person causing the problems for the company and helping with engagement preparations. Each day he would come home really tired, but as soon as he saw Anjali all his tiredness vanished. He was still making her pay back for keeping Kajal's truth from him. He found ways to extract his revenge in the most unusual places.

On this particular day he found her in the kitchen trying to reach for a bowl in the top shelf of the cabinet, presenting him with a perfect opportunity to trap her against the counter. He sneaked up behind her and reached for the bowl before her hands could touch it.

Anjali gasped in surprise when she felt someone behind her, but was immediately relieved to know it was Aditya. He put the bowl on the counter and put his hands on her waist to turn her towards him. He looked down at her with a smile. "Now you owe me a thank you for getting the bowl for you."

She raised her chin and frowned at him. "I didn't ask you to get the bowl, so I don't owe you anything." She attempted to walk away from him, but he held her tighter and trapped her against the counter. She put her hands on his chest to push him back. "Aditya stop, what are you doing? Someone will come to the kitchen and see you. You are being very bad lately." She looked around to make sure no one is around.

He put his finger on her lips to shush her, when she stopped talking, he traced her lips with his finger, making them tremble. "And whose fault is that? You my dear wife, owe me for hiding my sisters truth from me, I told you I would make you pay back."

He lifted her and sat her on the counter. He leaned close, hovering a scant inch from her mouth before his lips seized hers and he pulled her to the edge of the counter.

When she felt him fit his hips smugly between her thighs, Anjali's shock was quickly swept away beneath the aggressive possession of his mouth. She clutched at him, and the sharp desire she felt wrung a soft moan from her.

Just when she thought she might not survive the dizzying wonder of his mouth and now his hands, Aditya began to temper the kiss. Far too soon, his mouth shifted off hers and his arms closed even more tightly around her, bringing her off the counter and in his arms.

He was trembling, and she felt a stir of feminine power. His heart was beating even harder than hers, and it pounded them both. He pressed his lips fervently into her hair then nuzzled her neck for several-breath stealing moments more before he started to pull away.

"Ease up on me, sweetheart," he said hoarsely. "At least until we are alone in our room."

He studied her flushed face then his gaze lifted to her hair before dropping back down to her kiss-swollen lips.

"Anjali!" Aditya and Anjali sprang apart when they heard Ramila calling for Anjali. Aditya moved away from her as far as he could, and she couldn't help the giggle that escaped from her lips at the panicked look on his face.

Ramila walked into the kitchen to see her daughter-in-law flushing and giggling while her son had a panicked look on his face, but was glaring at Anjali, who was attempting to keep from laughing. She just shook her head at her son, he was completely smitten with his wife, and she thanked god that everything was going well for her son and daughter-in-law. "Aditya, what are you doing in the kitchen again? Don't tell me you are trying to talk Anjali into making Gulab Jamun again. Haven't you had enough? I think she made them about three times since your accident." She hid a smile at her son's embarrassed look.

Aditya recovered quickly and went towards his mom. He put his hand on her shoulder from behind, leaned down and placed his chin on her shoulder so he could see Anjali's reaction and said "I can't help it mom, her sweets are the best, what can I say?" He winked and dropped his gaze to Anjali's lips making her flush even more.

Ramila laughed at her son's antics, she was so glad her son was once again the easygoing, fun person that he was before. She tapped him on his hand. "Stop pestering my her, go freshen up, I have something important to discuss with everyone." Aditya sighed, giving his wife one last look before he left the kitchen.

When family was gathered in the hall Ramila brought up the subject she wanted to discuss with everyone. "Hina, I was thinking while you Vishal and bhai go attend the wedding at your brother's house after Kajal's engagement, we should go visit my mother, she wants to spend some time with Kajal before she gets married." Everyone smiled at the suggestion while Aditya frowned.

"But mom, do we all have to go?" Vishal and Kajal snickered at their bhai's panic while rest of the family smiled at Aditya.

Ramila gave her son an indulgent smile, she knew why her son didn't want to go, he was looking for ways to spend some alone time with his wife, and she decided this would be the best time for them, so she came up with the plan to visit her mother while her sister-in-law was visiting her own family. "No Aditya, we don't all have to go, someone has to stay home, so you and Anjali are not going. We are only going to be gone for two days, we will have to start preparing for the wedding soon also."

Aditya was relieved at his mom's answer. Two days alone with his wife, he knew exactly how he wanted to spend them.

Later in their room, Anjali was finishing up some last minute invitations when Aditya walked in the room. She got up to put the invitations away, ignoring him. She then went to the bed and picked up the magazine she had been reading earlier. He raised his eyebrows at her attitude. He went to the bed, and as usual put his head in her lap to get her attention. "Anjali, why are you ignoring me again? Can you please message my head, I really have a bad headache." He knew she would not be so easy to appease if he didn't say he was in some kind of distress.

She immediately forgot why she was upset with him and put her hand on his head to message his head. "If you would stop stressing so much about work and not spend most of your day glued to your laptop, you wouldn't have this headaches." She scolded him.

He smiled up at her. "Just few more days, then I am all yours sweetheart. I promise not to even look at my computer when we are alone for two days." She flushed and covered his eyes with her hand. He took her hand, kissed her palm, then her wrist, he then put his hand behind her head to pull her down to kiss her lips. The kiss was gentle and tender filled with promise of more to come.

After a long while he sat up beside her and she immediately placed her head on his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around her to bring her closer to him. "So how much shopping did Kajal get done for the engagement?" He purposely changed the subject. It was their routine to catch up on their day before they both went to sleep.

Anjali entwined her fingers with his and squeezed his hand, understanding the change of subject. "Not much, she is very specific about what she wants, so we may be out few more days, looking for that perfect outfit. Then there is the matching jewelry and bangles, and everything else she wants. She also wants to book a beautician for that day, and someone for mehndi(Henna) the night before." She smiled at the list of things Kajal wanted.

"Sounds like she is keeping you busy shopping, mom is keeping you busy with engagement invitations and gifts, are you not tired with all these things?" Aditya said in worried tone.

She sat up and looked at him in surprise. "Well shopping is fun, so I wouldn't say that's hard work, and the things I am doing for maa are easy enough. Don't worry. Did you talk to Vishal about his girl?" She held back her smile because she knew he forgot all about it.

Aditya narrowed his eyes at her. "You think I forgot. Well for your information I did ask him and I got the same answer as you, he says they are only friends." He smirked at her.

She couldn't help but laugh. "And you believed him? I think he is just scared to admit to his feelings, like someone I know." She teased him.

"If you are talking about me, then you are so wrong, I am not scared to admit my feelings at all, and I can prove it to you right now." He said with anticipation.

She looked at him with puzzled expression thinking where he was going with this now. She didn't have to wait long. He pulled her close to him, looked straight into her eyes and said, "I love you." He brought his lips down to hers before she could reply. She forgot everything else but words and feel of his lips on hers. It was long while before they both came up for air. They both slept in each other's arms without exchanging any words, no other words were necessary.
