These past couple of hours have been chaotic to say the least.

From the time that my aunt, my friends and I left the mall to now we have been preparing for tomorrow.

My mother's friends cancelled on her last minute so she had my friends and I taste cakes to decide which ones we should have at the 'Annual Christmas Party'.

Bailey and Faith were not complaining.

Heck, they made a bet to see who could finish every slice of cake they were handed.

Neither of them won.

Aurelia and I were a little more cautious since we literally just ate fast food not even an hour ago.

Meanwhile my mom and my aunt Carolina were helping the interior designers put up decorations since half of them called out sick.

What the actual fuck?

Does this happen every year?!

My mother was nowhere to be found, but everyone was telling me not to worry about it.

After a stressful two and a half hours of cake tasting my mom forced us to help her place random Christmas themed decorations everywhere.

Bailey barely got to the living room before she felt nauseous and had to run to the bathroom.

She should not have made a bet to see which one of them could eat the most cake.

That is a suicide mission on its own.

Good thing the cakes that we tried were all vegan so there is no chance of her possibly having salmonella or some shit.

Okay, that sounds really stupid.

After spending another couple of hours decorating the huge house Aurelia and I practically passed out on the hardwood floor while Faith was upside down on the couch.

We probably got five minutes of sleep before being woken up by my mom yelling at us to get up and decorate the upstairs hallway.

Who the hell is going to go upstairs at a party that is happening downstairs?!

Luckily, my aunt Carolina helped us so it only took us an hour and a half.

Bailey eventually came back from the bathroom and helped us finish up.

Safe to say our afternoon was shitty.

The four of us practically fell asleep as soon as we touched the couch.

The next morning, which was this morning, I woke up to random workers carrying large trays of food into the house.

What the hell?

My mom forced me to get up before I could fall back to sleep, which in turn woke up my friends.

She basically made us clean and cake test all day, again.

I am one hundred percent sure that I will never be able to look at a cake without feeling sick.

Thankfully my aunt Carolina snuck us out of there at five in the afternoon before my mom could force us to do anything else.

"I am never eating a slice of cake again" Bailey declares as soon as she enters my bedroom

Faith and I groan in agreement as we follow after the brunette.

I flop back on my bed, too sick to remove my shoes.

Aurelia laughs at me, kneeling down to remove my converse.

I force myself to sit up enough so that I can see the top of her head.

"You don't have to" I assure her

"Please, you can barely sit up all the way, I'm doing you a favor" she lightly teases

I groan again allow my body to collapse back on my bed.

Fuck, my stomach hurts.

I curiously glance over at Bailey and Faith only to notice that these bitches are out cold.

They are both laying on their sides, Faith's back is pressed against the back of my couch as one of her arms are loosely draped around Bailey's waist.

Wow.

I did not see that coming.

Aurelia throws my second shoe near my first one before joining me on my bed, her shoes already off.

"I need to ask you something" I tell her emotionlessly making her furrow her brows

She looks worried.

"Okay" she says with obvious confusion in her tone of voice

"Be honest, do I look pregnant?" I ask her with a pout as I lift up my hoodie, exposing my bloated belly

Aurelia tries not to burst into laughter at my question as she moves to sit crisscrossed in between my legs, my thighs resting on her knees.

I cross my calves so that she is trapped in between my legs.

"Depends, is the baby mine?" She teases

I furrow my brows at her, my pout deepening as she gently places her warm hands on my tummy. She uses the pads of her thumbs to lightly massage my bloated stomach.

"That isn't funny," I say

She continues to silently and gently massage my stomach making me sigh with content as I relax my face.

"Hypothetically speaking, if I were pregnant then yes it would be" I say playing along

And if she had a penis.

She gives me a childlike smile before leaning down to place a small kiss onto my stomach making me smile.

She will make a great wife to whoever she decides to marry in the future.

I know her and I are not dating, but that does not mean that the popular saying does not apply to us.

'Most relationships do not last past high school'.

I feel a sting in my heart thinking of us not being friends after high school.

"You're beautiful either way" she suddenly says after a long silence

I grin carefully sitting up so that I do not hurt myself, securing my ankles behind her in the process. When I am finally up I rest my butt on her lap, wrapping my arms behind her neck.

I hope that I am not hurting her legs since her legs are still in a crisscrossed position.

"I love you" I whisper connecting our foreheads

Our faces are so close together that I can feel her soft, plump lips form a smile against mine.

"I love you too, princess" she tells me

This makes me smile.

I disconnect our foreheads, using my hand to tilt her head slightly upward before leaning in to kiss her.

Our lips slowly glide against each other, almost lazily.

Aurelia Kingsbury.

Fifteen years old, turning sixteen in less than seventy two hours.

Long raven black hair.

Mesmerizing light grey eyes.

Addictive reddish-pink pouty lips.

The kindest person you will ever meet, but also one of the best people you will ever talk to.

The first and only person to make me truly fall in love, or at least what I imagine love feels like.

These are all things I would use to describe this beautifully, amazing girl in front of me.

She is the one to break the kiss, using all of her self control to not lean back in.

"We should go to sleep, I'm sure we're probably going to have to finish setting up tomorrow" She whispers looking down at our connected bodies

I cannot explain the insane feeling that is currently happening in my chest, but I can explain one thing.

Only Aurelia can unlock it.

-

I slowly begin to wake up as I feel a strong pair of arms tighten protectively around my midsection.

Fuck.

I need coffee.

I look down through slightly opened eyes only for my eyes to land on a messy black ponytail.

I smile down at the protective girl, choosing to let her sleep.

I carefully and strategically remove her hair tie from her black hair and slip it around my wrist so that I do not misplace it.

Once you misplace a hair tie you have officially lost it forever.

I take this opportunity to gently move my hand through her hair, making sure to focus the tips of my fingers on her scalp.

I hear a low appreciative growl escape from her mouth making me smile at the girl.

I am going to assume that she likes it.

I continue my motions of gently running my fingers through her long black hair only to hear a light knock on my bedroom door.

I look up and smile when I notice my mother, using my hand to motion for her to come in.

"Hey, where did you go? You just disappeared" I whisper so that I do not wake up anyone

Bailey and Faith are still asleep on the couch and I do not want to be the cause of Bailey's early morning anger.

"I had an emergency business thing that I had to deal with," she tensely waves off, obviously not wanting to get into the specifics

I move past this since she rarely ever tells me what this 'emergency business' is.

"How was your visit to the house yesterday?" She asks referring to the house that she grew up in

I smile as I continue to gently massage Aurelia's head.

"I didn't have a chance to enjoy it because Mom made us all decorate and taste test a hundred cakes" I state with a look of horror making her laugh

Aurelia gently shifts in my arms.

"She's just stressed, she'll be back to normal tonight in time for the party," she assures me

I nod, staring down at a lightly snoring Aurelia. I smile at the way that she unconsciously tightens her grip around me every time that it loosens, almost as if she was afraid that I was going to disappear.

"You really like her, don't you?" My mother asks as I continue to massage Aurelia's head

I give her a small nod, my eyes never leaving the girl of interest.

"I don't know how to explain it, I feel like she just understands me in a different way than Bailey and Faith do" I says

Goodness.

I hope that made sense.

"Well, I have good news for you" she says

I look over to my mother only to furrow my brows.

"What?" I ask

"She cares about you a lot," she promises me

What?

"She told me," my mother adds making my heart jump in my chest

Holy shit.

"Don't tell her that I told you that" she whispers with a wink making me smile

The both of us are silent for a few seconds, me being the one to break it.

"Is this how you felt when you feel in love with Mom?" I ask hoping to get a better understanding of this feeling

"Scared, excited, protective" I trail off as I comb my fingers through Aurelia's thick black hair

"Everybody loves differently, but yes" she says

Fuck.

I am in deep.

There is no way out.

But I do not think that I want out of this.

A real chance at love.

"I just came up to say 'hi' and see what you girls want for breakfast" she interrupts my thoughts with a smile

I instantly groan.

"Please, nothing sweet, I still feel the cake inside my stomach" I say making her laugh

"Will do, breakfast will be done in an hour and a half" she tells me with a salute

She stands up, still saluting, making me smile and roll my eyes at her.

"You're such a dork" I joke making her laugh

"Well, this dork is your mother so I guess you're stuck with me" She teases before exiting my room

Wow.

I missed her.

I actually cannot wait for tonight.

Apparently we are going to party until after twelve so that we can also celebrate Aurelia's birthday as a big group.

The rest of us get to spend the rest of the day celebrating with her.

In the middle of my thinking I am assuming that I accidentally stopped moving my hand making the black haired girl groan.

"Why'd you stop?" She groggily groans out

Turning her head so that her chin is resting on my stomach, her grey eyes barely being cracked open.

I softly laugh at the obviously tired girl, running my fingers through her hair to push it out of her face.

"Go back to sleep and I'll give you all the head massages that you could ever want" I promise her with a soft tone of voice

She silently complies, pressing her cheek against my stomach and relaxing her body.

I pull my blanket tighter around the two of us when I notice goosebumps appearing on her arms.

Fuck.

This girl is way too good to be real.

I have known her for months now but she has yet to do anything bad.

Sure, I thought she cheated on me with my best friend, but that was quickly cleared up.

I don't know, maybe it is just my slight trust issues talking.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••

I thought that I would give you guys some Aurelia and Hanna fluff.

I am lowkey curious to hear what ship name you have for them, if you even have one lol?
