I pulled an all-nighter for this but we're not going to talk about that lol.

Some of y'all are going to temporarily hate me.

You can't say that I didn't warn you.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••

"Hanna, you're going to the dinner whether you like it or not" my mother says

"Fine" I grunt out before hanging up the phone

I turn to face Bailey and Faith with an annoyed facial expression.

"I have to go to the dinner whether I want to or not" I say with an eye roll

"See, the universe wants the both of you to befriend each other" Bailey says with a smile

I groan as I bring my hand up to cover my head.

This can't be happening.

A few hours passed of Bailey and Faith watching random movies which I was unable to enjoy since a certain someone won't stop plaguing my mind.

"Hanna, she's not that bad, you're just overreacting" Faith says with an annoyed tone of voice as she tries to fall asleep

Bailey, Faith and I are camped out on her floor.

It is currently three in the morning and I can't stop thinking about the whole situation concerning the devil in disguise.

She's the equivalent of glitter getting stuck in your hair.

Once she's there, it's hard to get rid of her.

"Maybe you're right," I sigh out

I could be feeling this way towards her because of my minor trust issues.

"Maybe I'm just confused and I'm taking my frustration out on her" I try to reason with myself

Okay, now I just sound crazy.

"Great, now that that's settle, can we sleep?" Bailey questions sarcastically as she turns her face away from me

I turn my head towards Faith's DirectWire only to notice that she's soundlessly asleep.

Wow.

That was quick.

I guess I should go to bed too since I have to be home early.

-

I tiredly reach my hand out and feel around for my obnoxiously loud phone.

Why are my parents calling me this early in the morning?!

Once I feel the smooth glass of the phone I swipe right until it stops ringing, completely ignoring the caller identification as I bring it up to my ear.

I remain silent as I wait for the person on the other end to speak.

"Uh, Hanna?" They asks

I immediately shoot up from my comfortable laying position, opening my eyes in the process.

No fucking way!

How did he-?

"Hanna?" He asks again

I glance over at my unconscious best friends sleeping next to me.

"Why the hell are you calling me?" I whisper shout through the phone as I glance over at Bailey's digital clock

Three fifty-eight, it read.

"Can we talk?" He questions with a serious tone of voice

No, Hanna, do not fall into his trap.

I quickly stand up and quietly make my way out of Bailey's room, making sure to tiptoe so that I do not wake my friends up.

"You asked me that last time and I ended upsetting my family" I say as I make my way towards Bailey's bathroom

He sighs and seemingly walks around as I take a seat on the side of her bathtub.

"Hanna, I want us to have closure and move past this" he says

"You should have thought about that before you decided to cheat on me with my own best friend" I tell him

"Baby, please," he begs desperately

"I really want us to work past this, I'm willing to do anything" he promises

I bite my lower lip as I nervously bounce my knee up and down.

Why am I seriously thinking about meeting up with him?!

"Hanna, please" he says with a sad tone of voice

"Fine, meet me at the diner" I say, already knowing that he knows which diner I'm talking about

I hang up before he gets a chance to say anything else.

It'll be okay, Hanna.

You're just meeting up with him to have closure, then you can go back to your perfectly single life.

I quietly walk out of the bathroom and quickly make my way downstairs. Once I reach the bottom step I look around to make sure the coast is clear.

When I notice no movement I walk over to my shoes and throw them on before grabbing one of Bailey's jackets, it is autumn after all.

I hope that I'm doing the right thing.

-

I continue to stir my iced coffee with a straw as the bell above the door goes off, indicating that someone just walked in.

Not too long afterwards someone sits down across from me.

"Hey" he says to gain my attention

I stop stirring said coffee and and look up into a pair of deep blue eyes.

The same eyes I adored with all my heart.

Hanna, please, you're only fifteen.

"Hi," I reply lowly as I shift awkwardly in my spot

He takes notice of this and respectively leans away from me.

"So, you wanted to speak about the cheating situation" I say, quickly getting to the point

"Yes, but first I want to apologize to you" he says causing me to raise a suspicious brow at him

"Go on" I encourage with genuine curiosity

"I'm sorry for the way that I disrespected you and treated you the way I did at the gala" he apologizes

I sit up straighter in my seat from shock.

Wow, I was definitely not expecting that.

"I appreciate the fact that you're apologizing to me but, if you don't mind, why did you cheat on me?" I question

He looks up, as if trying to think about the answer.

"She manipulated me and made me think that you were hooking up with Faith" he says making my eyes widen

Please tell me that he is kidding.

"You're lying" I say not believing a word he says

"I swear I'm not," he says as he holds his hands up in surrender

"This was during the time when you said that Faith was going through a break up," he begins to inform me

"At first I didn't believe her, I actually ignored her, it was when you blew me off to hang out with Faith after school that I began to worry," he continues to give me his point of view

I think back to the day that he's explaining to me so that I can follow along.

"I saw Faith that same afternoon hanging out with Bailey and they didn't seem to be in a rush to meet anyone" he says

"Faith told me to meet her at her house so that her, Bailey and I could hang out together, throughout that week the three of us barely got to hang out with each other since we had to study for a different test every night" I explain to him

He nods his head with an understanding look on his face.

"Oh," he says guiltily before awkwardly continuing his story

"I wanted to wait around for a few seconds hoping that it was all a misunderstanding but Ava found me and fed me more lies," he says with a sad look in his eyes

"She told me that you were distancing yourself away from me because you didn't want to hurt my feelings and break up with me" he tells me

I place my hands in the middle of the table, allowing him to interlock our fingers together. I ignore the disappearance of butterflies in my lower belly as I look him in the eyes intensely.

"I would never do that to you" I say with an appalled facial expression

How could Ava say such things about me?

I truly thought that we were friends.

"I know that now, but at the time you were in the wrong place at the right time," he says

"Every time you blew me off to hang out with your family or friends she would feed me more lies," He says with a voice crack

"The morning of our ten month anniversary I planned on confronting you and asking you about it but neither you or your parents would answer your phone," he explains thoroughly

"I couldn't immediately go and see you because my grandmother was on her way over so I told my mom that I wanted to see you afterwards," he continues with a sad sigh

"When the time came I was in the middle of putting on my clothes when Ava climbed through my window, I was creeped out that she did that but nonetheless told her that I was planning on talking to you," he tells me

"She seemed frantic when I revealed my plan and, of course, made something up so that I would have a reason not to trust your loyalty" he finishes

"You didn't explain how you two got in the position that I caught you in" I remind him

"My actions were purely based on what I was feeling at the time" he says

"Which was?" I ask him

"I was hurt, but I was also upset. I thought that I wasn't enough for you, when you add that to the information that she was feeding me and what I've witnessed with my own eyes I agreed to help Ava unfriend you while also doing the breaking up so that you wouldn't have to" he explains to me

Okay.

Wow.

That's a lot of information.

I lean back in my seat and silently nod my head, not knowing what to say.

"I am truly sorry, Hanna, if you give me another chance I promise I'll never do something like that again" he says with a promising facial expression

I contemplate his offer.

The both of us hid things from each other.

The both of us misinterpreted multiple things about each other.

But no relationship is perfect.

"Why should I believe you?" I question him curiously

"Because our relationship was built on trust, I trust you, baby, but do you trust me?" He says turning the question back on me

I sigh as I lean my elbows on the table.

"I trust you" I say

He smiles at this before gently taking my hand in his and placing a kiss on top of it.

I smile at his gesture but it feels... odd.

It doesn't give me the same tingling feeling that it used to.

Well, what do you expect, Hanna, you just got back together, these things need time.

Yeah, I sure hope so.

"Date, tonight?" He questions making me frown

"I can't, my family is having dinner with the Kingsbury's tonight and I'm required to be there" I inform him

He gives me a confused facial expression.

"Kingsbury's? Isn't that, that emo new chicks last name?" He questions causing me to furrow my eyebrows

"She's not emo, but yes that's her last name" I says

Woah.

I can't believe I just stuck up for her.

Technically it's not sticking up if it's true.

"How about tomorrow morning before school, we could get breakfast?" He asks

"I'd love that" I tell him with a smile

My cellphone chooses this moment to ring, Bailey's name flashing across it.

I remove my hand from his and grab my phone, accepting the call in the process.

"Hey" I answer nonchalantly, hoping that she won't suspect anything

"It's five in the morning, where are you?" She asks with a worried tone of voice

Shit.

I forgot to leave a note for her.

"I couldn't fall asleep so I went to get a cup coffee, I'll be there soon" I tell her

"Okay" she replies before hanging up

Um, okay.

That was weird.

"I have to go, I spent the night at Bailey's" I tell him as I grab my coffee and slide out of the booth that we're sat in

He nods as he follows after me.

"Well, I would love to walk you there" he suggests causing me to laugh lightly at him

"Bye, Chadley, I'll text you later" I tell him before leaning up to place a kiss on his cheek and walking away

This is truly going to be an eventful day.

I hate the run on sentences and grammar mistakes.

But I hope you enjoyed it (:
