I am standing at the border of a small cruise boat. Big enough to fit five people and many different rooms. I'm looking at the horizon. The calm ocean right in front of me. Am I doing the right thing? Will my friends be safe? I can't return anymore. I left and for the best. I knew all along that he was alive all this time. He was nothing but a big lie to me. His words and actions didn't match. He knew I wouldn't give up without a fight, so he tried a new method.

Every word he spat at me killed me little by little.

"You're nothing."

"You're a shame."

"You have no friends."

"Nobody loves you."

"Stop faking it."

"You don't deserve to live."

"You're better off death."

Everything got worse after I found out he wasn't the man he claims to be. It was the morning of the murder. It took me nineteen years to finally found out about his secret. He thought I was out that day, but I came back home to find my laptop charger. I heard him. I decided to spy. It was Kaiya's dad.

**********

Flashback. Friday, March 30. 11am.

"Just leave everything behind. You can start a new life." My dad said.

"What about your daughter? You love her so much."

"She's grown up now. I can leave her all the money I work for her and she can start to live on her own. She's an adult now. She will survive. She will find out soon who she is and when the day comes, there are going to be people there for her."

"Look at how you're a slave for someone who isn't even your own daughter. The day they gave us those two, I should have given the two of them to you and leave. But I couldn't! I can't betray my kingdom. I had to do what I have to do to bring glory to my kingdom. I need to bring back that girl!" Kaiya dad shout. Everything for power.

"You can't bring her back! She can never go back! You haven't done the worse. You can still leave and give up on that mission! Just ask your kingdom for forgi-"

"I DON'T WANT THEIR FORGIVENESS. IT HAS NEVER BEEN ABOUT THEIR FORGIVENESS. I'm one of the best loyalists my country has. It runs in my family. My duty was to find her and make her realise that her place is not here but there! She was supposed to become greedy and selfish for power like her dad and not sensible like her weak mom. It failed because YOU were the one who raised her that strong! So, I did what I had to do. Betrayal. The only thing left is to bring Nilla home before she hits her twenties. And I'm not going to let anyone comes between me and my goal. I'm sorry."

Next thing I know, blood. My dad was slaughtered and fell on the floor. Deep cut on his neck.

"It would have been easier if you weren't with me that day. You should have died back then" The killer said with hatred in his eyes. I left immediately. I never finished my assignment that day.

I went to a lake where I always go and sit on a bench here for the entire morning until my meeting with Kaiya at 4pm. I spent five hours there thinking about what will happen next, but someone came behind me.

"Trying to run away?"

I stiffened.

"You're a smart girl, Nilla. If it wasn't for my country, I will have strangled you by now." He said with a smile while moving a knife along my neck.

I gulped. I didn't say anything.

"Ah... you're such a lonely girl that you welcome everyone with warm."

"What did you do?" My voice was shaking. He was looking at me as if I was his prey.

"Nothing. Just some killing there and here. (He said unbothered). I know you saw what happened. You're not that sleek and I've been training my whole life, Nilla. Now that you know where you come from, listen to me."

No.

He pulled out a knife. He was holding it near my throat. One movement and I get slice. I was so done to even waste a single tear for something like that. Crying has been a no for me since I was eight years old.

"I said... You will listen to me."

I didn't say anything. He took it as a yes and started talking about his plan. He will make himself look like his dead along with the two other dead bodies. I assumed the other one was the old man.

"I know you're going to meet Kaiya later to visit poor little grandpa. But the thing is, he died not too long ago. Blood still fresh on my knife. You'll meet someone there and they will stick with you until you arrive to Korea. Once you'll establish yourself, you'll meet a man named Joon. Don't get too attached to him. He's no good for you, sweetheart."

I can feel something dripping down my neck. There was blood.

"One month before your 20th birthday, plan an escape where there is a lot of people and dumb your friend there. You don't need her. The faster you leave, the safer she is. They are coming for you and you only. Once your friend dropped, I'll come find you and tell you what to do so you just have to follow without trying to run away."

He pulled my head toward him so I can clearly hear him.

"If you don't follow the plan, I'll be glad to slit your friend's neck. Nobody is there to protect her. You've seen what I can do. And I'm assuming you don't want anything to happen to your precious friend, right? I'll leave a letter and knowing Yoon, he'll know I'll put a hidden message inside. That guy is smart. That's why I'm telling you everything now. The hidden note will be a trap and while you're escaping, I'll give you more time by greetings them. Do it for your friend, Nilla. You can't hide forever. Look at the bright side, you'll finally meet your real dad!"

He then leaned closer to my ear.

"Before we kill you in front of his eyes."

**********

Yoon and Jay already knew there will be dead bodies in my house, but for a completely different reason. I knew Kaiya will be too shocked to see her dad like this. As much as I know, Kaiya doesn't even know who he really is. I did what I had to do. I checked to see if there were any signs of lives. None. Lie. Her dad was alive and mine dead. When Jay and Yoon arrived, they weren't surprised either. While I was taking care of Jay, I saw how Yoon was looking at Kaiya. With love. How can something awful has happened to good people. At least she had found someone who will be there for her. Because I'm leaving.

"I'm not coming back home anymore. I'm sorry." I whispered before closing the house's door entrance.

In the airplane, Yoon handed me a letter. It was exactly like how my father would have talked to me. But they made a mistake. Not once in my life has my dad called me butterfly. Butter yes, but never butterfly. I smiled a little. That day, I wasn't crying because I lost my dad. No. I was crying because there was a mistake. Maybe there's still hope for me in this world? Her dad really did plan everything during all those years. If it weren't for Kaiya and her community service, I would have never known about any of this.

Jay was looking out for me throughout this entire trip until we have arrived in Korea. Once I met Joon, he finally left my ass alone instead of sticking with me and keeping me company because clearly, Kaiya was always with Yoon.

June 13, 2018.

We lived in Korea for almost two months now. My birthday is coming soon. The stupid fake father of her told me that I need to leave before my twenty birthday which is at the end of the month. When Kaiya asked me if I wanted to go out, I agreed. It was an opportunity for me. I need to keep them safe so I told her dad about it. Little did he knows that I've contacted Joon too.

When I heard a gunshot, I knew it was the signal. It was him. He was coming for me. No. I was the one who needs to go meet him at the meeting point. I had to find Joon and fast. I was going to leave with Joon. Kaiya's dad was going to bring me to Sangre Island where I will be slaughtered. I saw a big wave of people coming and decided to run. Kaiya got stuck inside. She was waving her arms, but I had to act like I couldn't see her. A man was charging at me. It was her dad. I started running away and before I know it, someone else grabbed me. It was Joon. He gave me a black hoodie and a mask and told me to stay hidden behind trees while he went to meet the rest of the boys. He told them that they got me.

While Kaiya and Yoon were searching for me with their hacking skills, they worn out their energy and fell asleep. Joon came into their room to see what they were doing. He saw the location popped out of the laptop screen. I was still in Korea at that time. He changed the location to Húdié Island. Then, he left during the night and brought me to a port where we entered a boat. I said goodbye to Jay before entering the boat with Joon.

Flashback. The night before the massacre. Jay's pov.

Yoon finally found someone to share his love with. It was Nilla best friend and twin. They look cute together. If only I can find someone like this too. Ahh... young love.

One day, I got a call from Nilla's dad. It was so unusual because when he needed to contact us, he always called on Yoon's phone. I wasn't as close as him.

"Come meet me at the coffee shop." And he hung up.

I arrived at the coffee shop 15 minutes later. Thankfully, I had a night class that day, so I was already nearby. I enter and there was not a single noise. Someone closed the door behind me and told me to sit, so I did. It was my boss.

Boss: There's an emergency.

Jay: What? Then we need to call Yoon!

I took out my phone, but he stopped me.

Boss: Don't. It's not worth it. That's why I called you.

Jay: Wh-what do you mean?

Boss: As you clearly know, we found out that the enemy knew we were here since the beginning. You know why? Because the enemy was here with us all along.

Jay: WHAT?! Are you telling me that... Yoon is a... traitor?

Boss: No... not Yoon.

Jay: Then who, sir?

Boss: The girl.

Jay: WHAT?! Kaiya? But she's Nilla friend and twin!

Boss: She's not.

Jay: WHAT?! Then who is she?

Boss: The enemy's girlfriend.

Jay: WHAT? Then Yoon's a traitor?!

Boss: But do you even?! (He paused). Don't you understand the situation here?

He was pissed and I didn't know why. I don't understand the situation? How about he explained it better? Oh... maybe that's why he prefers Yoon.

Tak. Tak. I turned around and stare at the entrance door. There was a figure standing in front of the door, waiting to enter. It was a rainy day and lightnings make us see better who he was. It was Kaiya's dad. Oh, thank god! I thought it will be the enemy. I turned back to face my boss with relief only to see him taking out a small knife and hiding it inside his sleeve.

"Listen to me, Jay. Keep an eye on Yoon and don't let him near Nilla. Not when he's still dating."

What why? He was dating Nilla's best friend so why did I have to keep an eye on him. They are literally the most trustable people for Nilla right now. The noises broke my thoughts suddenly. He was trying to break the window?

"Hide! Go hide and don't make any noise! Just remember... Nilla and Kaiya are twins but from different kingdom."

He said in a low tone just like a whisper enough for me too hear it. My boss is smart. He created a small space in between the walls for us to hide in case of emergency like this one. I went there and tried to stay calm. Why should I hide from Kaiya's dad? He was also his best friend.

Cling. The glass was broken, and a hand was trying to find the door knob to open the door.

"Kaiya already knew who she is, and they are trying to bring Nilla to Sangre Island."

But why? Just why?

"One must die for one to rule them all."

Kaiya's dad entered the eatery.

He has the same tattoo as Sangre Island killers.
